Halloween candy wrappers, sticky Thanksgiving leftovers,

and the trees turn all crinkly and brown.

It doesn't get any better than -- agh

I'm stuck.

Plastic bag rule number one: stay away from trees.

[Detritus groaning]

- It sounds like a broken lawn mower.

- But more sarcastic.

- Look, it's Detritus.

- What are you doing up there?

Oh, I'm a tree inspector.

Yeah, that's it.

- Oh hello, tree inspector.

I believe all my paperwork is in order.

Oh, sure, sure, looks great.

- Do you have time to come down

and jump in this leaf pile with us?

- I couldn't possibly mess up your tidy pile of --

ah, who am I kidding?

Of course I wanna make a big fat mess,

but I can't because I'm stuck in this tree.

- Oh no, we can help you.

- You kids really make me feel

like everything's gonna be okay.

- Really?

- No, I'm gonna be up here forever.

- Watt, we need to find a way to get him down from there.

- I got it.

I'll build a helicopter and fly up to rescue you.

- That's the best worst idea that I've ever heard.

- I guess the park does seem a little light

on helicopter building materials.

- I know, we could plant another tree next to yours.

When the tree grows up,

you can reach the branches of the new tree and climb down.

- Great, I can climb down in a hundred years.

Also, I'm stuck.

- Oh, right.

- Hey kids, what seems to be the problem?

Do I detect a leaf-related emergency?

- Who are you?

- I'm Ranger Rake.

I take care of the park.

- Our friend, Detritus, is stuck in that tree

and we can't get him down.

- Don't worry, you can leaf it to me.

[leaves laughing]

I'm going to call the fire department.

- But Detritus isn't on fire.

- The fire department can help

with all kinds of non-fire-related emergencies.

- They can even help Detritus get out of the tree?

- Yes, you better be-leaf it.

[leaves laughing]

Yes, yes, quiet down.

I have a phone call to make.

We need your help in City Island Park

getting a bag out of a tree.

Please leaf immediately.

Although that pun was hilarious,

this is no laughing matter.

- Agreed, that was a fantastic pun.

[sirens wailing]

- Be careful.

[Detritus groaning]
