Why do we need tickets, and who are the corythosaurus?
The corythosaurus are dinosaurs in another part of
The cretaceous period, and the tickets are for their music

Well, the corythosaurus do make their own special musical
Noises.
How do they do that?
It's obvious, buddy. The corythosaurus make music with
Their feet and their tails.

All corythosaurus like cory were part of a group of
Dinosaurs called hadrosaurs, or duck-bills, because they had
Wide beaks, just like ducks.
[Quack] do you think corythosaurus
Used its crest to make sounds?
Well, scientists like me think they may have because the
Crest was hollow. Air went inside it when they breathed.
So, if the dinosaur took a deep breath and blew the air through
Its nose, it could've made a loud sound that sounded kind of
Like a horn.
[Blaring] [doorbell]
Point of fact: actually, dinosaurs did not perform
Musical concerts. Thank you.
Aww...
But like I said, they probably did make cool noises
With their crests.
[Cheering] so why would corythosaurus
Use their amazing crests to make noises?
They used it for talk.
It's a lot like the birds you hear singing and chirping in
Your backyard. Corythosaurus may have made sounds to say things
Like...
"Hey, check out this crest!"
"Stay out of my way!"
Dinosaurs probably did a whole lot of things that animals
Do today.

Well, depends on the dinosaur eating it. Herbivores
Don't eat fish at all.
What's a herbivore?
Herbivores are dinosaurs that eat plants, only plants.
Blechh!
So then pteranodons are fishivores.
Actually, shiny, we're carnivores, meat-eaters. Fish
Is meat.
Fish is meat?
Fish is delicious! I think any dinosaur would love it if
They tried it, even a herbivore.
What about our company that's coming over? Are they
Herbivores?
Well, that's the problem.
I'm not sure. I've never eaten with my friends the triceratops
Family. We have fish and leaves, but I'd hate to be rude
And offer them the wrong thing.
Maybe we can meet the triceratops at the train
Station and find out what they like before lunch.

Actually, shiny, t*nk and trudy are herbivores, so I've

But, mom, this is fish.
Everyone who tastes fish loves it.
But I don't eat fish.

It's--it's really not your recipe. It's just that
Triceratops' mouths aren't good for eating fish. Our beaks are
Much better at chomping through thick, tough plants.

Hmm. The beaks don't look the same, though. Shiny's is
Longer and thinner, and t*nk's is shorter and thicker.
Maybe we should compare teeth! Open wide, please.

You must have hundreds of teeth in there.
And they look really strong.
No wonder you can chew up leaves.
And look! Shiny doesn't have any teeth in her beak.
What about my teeth? Are they as sharp as t*nk's? Ahh!
They're different from t*nk's.
But they're really sharp, maybe sharp enough to eat some
Delicious leaves. Want to try some?

Maybe I'm a herbivore.
Or maybe not. These leaves are hard for my teeth to chew.

I'm the hungriest triceratops, and I'll eat all

Herbivores.
And can you think of a few herbivores walking around today?
Cow.
Giraffe.
Rabbit.
Cows, giraffes, and rabbits are all herbivores,
Or plant-eaters.
And our friend triceratops was a herbivore, too.
This big guy ate nothing but the green stuff. Triceratops had
A lot of great features that came in handy for eating plants,
And had a huge beak up front, and hundreds of teeth in the
Back of the mouth. Triceratops is often compared with a big
Animal living today.
Rhinoceros.
Both triceratops and rhinoceros are big plant-eaters
With big appetites and...
Big horns.
Herbivores.
Yeah, herbivores. So remember, get outside, get into
Nature, and make your own discoveries.

Everywhere in the mesozoic era?
Let's look at the map.
There was the triassic, jurassic, and cretaceous time
Periods. Let's visit the jurassic. It was a warm, damp
Climate full of both jungles and forests. The first known
Birds and many of the biggest dinosaurs, like stegosaurus,
Lived in the jurassic. And that's just one of the stops
On the dinosaur train.
