Finding it because it's a really big mystery.

What? Aw, come on! Why would I want to take an egg?

Because I didn't take it.

I didn't even know the eggs were here, and if I did know, I

Wouldn't care. I'm going home!

Keenan, wait. If you really didn't do it, come back to the

Nest and put your foot in one of the footprints. If it doesn't

Fit, we know it wasn't you.

I bet it has wings. That's why the footprints stop.

It flew up into the sky.

I have another hypothesis.

The egg stealer has wings for stealing eggs and flying away

With them.

Nest far away from the water.

Hi there. I'm dr. Scott the paleontologist. And this is

Oviraptor, a small feathered dinosaur from the cretaceous

Time period. Oviraptor looks a lot like a bird, but it was

Actually another kind of theropod dinosaur, one that

Couldn't fly. Some fossilized remains of oviraptor were found

Near nests of dinosaur eggs. So scientists named it oviraptor,

Which means "egg thief." But later paleontologists discovered

That the baby dinosaurs inside those eggs were also oviraptors.

So it turned out that oviraptor wasn't an egg thief

After all. Instead, it was a caring parent protecting its

Eggs and keeping them warm with its own body heat. Sometimes

Scientists have to change their hypothesis when they discover

New evidence. Today, of course, we know many species of birds

That are nurturing parents, looking after their eggs and

Their little hatchlings.

One example is the great frigatebird. These birds are

Very protective of the one egg that they lay. After the baby

Hatches, both the mother and the father frigatebird protect

Their young one and bring it food for several months.
