And mom! Look over there!

There are sprinklers - and grr-ific slides!!

Mom Tiger: Who's ready to have fun in the sun?

Mom/Daniel: [giggle]

Prince Wednesday: [giggle]

Daniel: Ready to play, Prince Wednesday?

Prince W: Mhmm... almost ready, Daniel!

Queen Sara Saturday: I just want to put a little more

sunscreen on this nose.

Prince Tuesday: Welcome to our neighborhood pool, everyone!

Daniel: Hi, Prince Tuesday!

Prince T: Hi, Little D!

Daniel: Are you gonna play in the water with us?

Prince T: I can't play with you today because I'm the lifeguard.

Daniel: Lifeguard?

Prince T: Yup! Lifeguards watch our neighbors

at the pool to make sure everyone

is safe and follows the rules.

Daniel: Do you know any rules for the pool?

Prince W: Ooh! I know a rule!

Listen to the lifeguard.

My brother told me that one this morning.

Prince T: Right, little bro.

Listen to the lifeguard - that's me!

That's a rule at our pool.

Daniel: Ooh! I know the next rule.

No running.

Prince T: That's right!

No running at the neighborhood pool.

The ground here is wet, so it can be slippery.

If you run, you might fall and hurt yourself.

The next rule is, you always have to ask a grown up

if it's okay to go in the pool.

Daniel: Okay!

Prince T: Do either of you have any questions?

Prince W: Yes!

Um...

What if I forget the rules?

Prince T: That's why it's important

to listen to the lifeguard!

If I see that you're forgetting a rule,

I'll blow my whistle and remind you.

That's how I keep you safe.

[whistle sound]

Daniel/Prince W: Whoa!

Prince T: When you hear that whistle,

and see my arm go up like this;

that means to stop what you're doing and listen to me.

Daniel: Ok, Prince Tuesday.

Prince T: Do you have any other questions?

Prince W: Oh, oh oh!

Prince T: [chuckles] Yes, Wednesday?

Prince W: Can I have a whistle too?

Daniel: [gasps] Me too?

Prince T: [laughs] No.

Only the lifeguard should have a whistle at the pool.

That way, if you hear it,

you know you'll need to stop and listen.

Mom Tiger: Thank you for explaining the rules,

Prince Tuesday.

Prince T: You're welcome.

A lifeguard is here to keep you safe!

the pool is open!

Daniel: Yay! Prince W: Hooray!

Queen Sara: That means it's time to play!

Prince W: Ooh! Can we try the sprinklers first?

Daniel: Pleeeeeease?

Mom Tiger: [chuckles] Sure!

Just make sure you walk there carefully.

Daniel: Ok. Come on!

Mom Tiger: Ok, we'll be watching you right over here.

Daniel: It's raining! [giggle]

Prince W: Drip! Drippy-dippy-drip-drop-drip!

Daniel: Splishy-splashy!

Prince W: Drip-drop-drip! [giggles]

Prince W: Look, Daniel. Let's sliiiiiide!

Daniel: Okay!

Daniel: Woah! Oof!

[lifeguard whistle]

Prince T: Hey, Little D.

Are you okay?

Daniel: Uh-huh.

I was running...

and I fell.

Mom, I slipped.

Mom Tiger: I saw that.

That's why there are rules at the pool like 'no running',

to keep you safe.

Prince T: And that's why I'm here - to remind you.

She's a lifeguard. Charlene: [whistle blowing]

Does everyone have their sunscreen on?

Children: Yes!

Daniel: It's her job to make sure everyone knows

how to be safe at the pool.

Charlene: Can anyone tell me one of our rules?

Ronan?

Ronan: No jumping into the pool.

Charlene: Our pool is not very deep.

So, if you jump or dive into the pool,

you can get really hurt.

Who can tell me another rule?

Deven?

Deven: Don't run, walk.

Charlene: Great, can you show me your walking please?

Who knows another rule?

Ameenah?

Ameenah: No throwing toys.

Charlene: Great, who else knows one of our rules?

Laura?

Laura: Keep your hands to yourself!

Charlene: That's right. That means no splashing,

no hitting and no kicking.

Ava?

Ava: When you hear the whistle, stop, freeze, and listen.

Charlene: So when you hear this--

it means everyone needs to stop, freeze,

and listen to stay safe!

Alright, who's ready to go into the pool?

Children: Me!

The lifeguard sits wayyy up there.

Daniel: The lifeguard helps keep us safe at the pool.

Chrissie: But my favorite part is putting my face in the water!

Miss Elaina: Are you here for swim class?

Daniel: Uh-huh!

Mom Tiger: Ok, my little Daniel-fish,

I'll be waiting over there.

But remember, you need to wait for a grown-up to say

it's okay to go in the pool.

So, stay on the bench until Queen Sara is ready for you.

Daniel: Okay!

Mom Tiger: Have fun!

Elaina: Did you see? Did you see?

Chrissie was blowing bubbles in the pool!

On a warm sunny day like today,

I like to make fruity ice treats!

Come on in!

Have you ever made ice treats with a grown-up before?

Today I'm making strawberry- banana flavored ice treats.

Mmm yum!

First, let's put this banana into the blender.

Next, add the strawberries,

and a liiiittle bit of orange juice!

Now, when I press this button

it mixes everything together

so it's nice and smooth!

Ready?

[blender whirring]

Ooh, let's taste it!

Mmm...Delicious!

I'm going to fill up these little cups...

♪ [playful music]

and add some popsicle sticks.

Boop boop boop boop!

[chuckles] Perfect!

I'll put these into the freezer

for a few hours,

so they become icy cold frozen treats!

Just like these that I made yesterday!

Daniel: Ice treats?

[gasps] Tigertastic!

Mom Tiger: [chuckles] One for you,

one for Margaret!

Baby Margaret: Oooh!

Mom Tiger: And one for...

meee! [laughs]

Daniel: Strawberry-banana-y!

Mom Tiger: Thanks for making ice treats with me today, Neighbor!

I wonder if someone in your neighborhood

likes to make a cold treat on a hot day.
