Daniel Tiger: Hi Neighbor!

Today, I'm going to the neighborhood pool

to play with my floaty,

And then I'm going to the farm with Miss Elaina.

Have you ever been to a farm?

I'm so so excited.

I'll be right back.

Daniel: [giggles]

Hi, Neighbor! Look at this!

My Grandpere sent me a floaty,

so we're taking it to the Neighborhood Swimming Pool!

You can come too!

Mom Tiger: Oopsie!

We didn't rub in your sunscreen all the way.

Daniel: [giggles]

Trolley: [ding-ding!]

Daniel: Hi, Trolley!

Mom Tiger: Let's go.

Dad Tiger: Please take us to the neighborhood pool, Trolley.

[ding-ding!]

Daniel: ♪ Sailing! Sailing!

♪ With my floaty in the pool!

Heyyyyy, do you want to make-believe with me?

Let's make believe that we're sailing

on all kinds of floaties!





♪ Floating...

♪ Down a winding river bend,

♪ We ride the waves with our stuffie friends. ♪

♪ Float over here,

♪ Float over there, and back again! ♪

♪ See all the floats?

♪ A rainbow, a palm tree, a unicorn float, ♪

♪ A pineapple and a heart.

♪ Together riding waves we make all kinds of shapes ♪

♪ Like a floating work of art



Wasn't that grr-ific?

[gasps] We're at the pool!

Let's go!



Mom: Thank you, Trolley!

Here we go.

Daniel: I can't wait to get in the pool with my floaty!

Mom: Let's sit over here.



Daniel: Come on, Dad! We've got to get in the pool!

Dad: Ok, let's go, Sailor Daniel!

[chuckles] Come on in!

Daniel: Oh, hi, Prince Tuesday!

Prince Tuesday is the lifeguard,

he keeps us safe at the pool.

Prince Tuesday: Hey, Little D.

I'm really sorry, but there are no floaties allowed

in the neighborhood pool.

Dad: Oh, really?

Daniel: No floaties?

Prince Tuesday: That's right no floaties.

It's one of our rules at the pool.

You can go in the water-- but your floaty cannot.

Dad: Ahhh...

Well, thank you for telling us Prince Tuesday.

I didn't know that rule.

Daniel: But Dad...

I wanted to play with my floaty in the pool.

[sighs] I'm reeeeeeally disappointed!

Dad: So am I.

You now what? It's okay to feel disappointed.

Daniel: [angrily] I don't like this trip to the pool!

♪ [dramatic music]

Hmph!



Dad: I know it seems bad that you can't use

your floaty in the water but...

♪ When something seems bad,

♪ turn it around

♪ and find something good.

What do you think can still be good at the pool?

Daniel: I don't think anything is good.

Dad: Okay...come on, look around with me.

I'm sure we can find something good.

Miss Elaina: Blub-blub-blub.

Blub-blub-blub.

Music Man Stan: Blub-blub-blub.

Miss Elaina: [giggles]

Daniel: [giggles] Miss Elaina sounds like

a motorboat in the water! Elaina: [raspberry]

Daniel: Maybe I could do that.

Dad: Humm, Miss Elaina is having fun

even without a floaty--

Daniel: ♪ When something seems bad,

Dad?

Could we play in the pool

without my floaty?

Dad: Of course we can!

Let's get in the pool - together!



Come on in, Daniel!

Daniel: Wheeeeeeeeee!

Dad?

I want to pretend to be a motorboat like Miss Elaina.

Watch this!

Blub-blub-blub.

Did I do it? Did I sound like a motorboat?

Dad: Whoa! You sure did!

Daniel: Blub-blub-blub!

Dad: Blub-blub-blub!

Daniel: Look, Mom! I'm a motorboat! [giggles]

Mom: Whoa!

You're going so fast!

Dad: Blub-blub-blub.! Daniel: [giggles]

I like sailing in the pool,

even without my floaty!

Being a boat is grr-ific too!

Dad: I'm glad you found something good, Daniel.

Daniel: Me too!

[giggles]

Weeeeeeeeee!

Dad: [chuckles]

Comin' through!

Daniel: Blub-blub-blub.

Dad Tiger/Daniel: [chuckles]

[whistle sounding]

Daniel: When Prince Tuesday blows his whistle,

that means we have to listen.

Prince Tuesday: Swimmers!

It's time for Grown-Up Swim.

Daniel: What does that mean?

Dad: Only the grown-ups can swim now.

That means all the children have to get out of the pool.

Daniel: Huh?

Prince Tuesday: Children, please come out of the water.

I'll let you know when it's time to go back in.

Daniel: I was pretending to be a boat.

And now I have to stop?

I'm disappointed. Again!

Baby Margaret: Dan-dan!

Daniel: I don't want to play now, Margaret.

Humph-- It's not fair!

Mom: I know you're disappointed that you can't be

in the pool right now.

Daniel: Weeeeeeeee!

[giggles]

Whew, it's hot out here.

Ooh, I have an idea!

Maybe I can turn this over like this--

Come on! [giggles]

Margaret! Come play in my cave.

It's not so sunny under here.

Margaret: [giggles]

Daniel: Roar, Margaret! I'm Big Brother Bear.

Welcome to my bear cave!

Margaret: Rou! Rou! [giggles]

Daniel: Roar!

Margaret: Rou! Rou!

Mom: And how are my little tigers?

Daniel: We're bears, Mom.

Roar! [giggles]

Mom: [giggles] Well, I'm so happy

you found something good about getting out of the pool.

Roar!

Margaret: Rou! Rou!!

Daniel: [gasps] That was the lifeguard whistle!

Prince Tuesday: Grown-Up Swim is over.

Everyone can swim again!

Mom: Did you hear that?

Daniel: Roar! This bear is ready to swim!

Mom: [chuckles]

Daniel: Come on!

[giggles]

Roar!

Watch this, Margaret!

Blub-blub-blub!

Margaret: Vrrrrr! [giggles]

Daniel: [giggles]

You're a good motorboat too, Margaret!

Dad: Here we go!

Daniel: Weeee!

I was disappointed when I couldn't use my floaty

in the pool.

But I turned it around and found something good,

like playing in the water

without my floatie.

When you feel disappointed,

you can try to find something good, too!

Ugga mugga!



Daniel: Let's go see some neighbors!

Camille: Hi, I'm Camille and I'm going on a boat ride.

♪ [playful music]



Hi, Captain Ryan.

Captain Ryan: Hi Camille, ready to go on tour for the boat?

Camille: Uh-huh!



Captain Ryan: Would you like to try to steer?

Camille: Yes please!



Captain Ryan, what's that?

Captain Ryan: Well that's the throttle.

That's what makes the boat go fast or slow.

Watch as I push it forward.

You can feel the boat starting to go faster.

If I put it backwards.

Boat will start going in reverse.

Do you know what river this is? Camille: Allegheny?

Captain Ryan: So that's the Allegheny over there.

Camille: Mononga--Captain: And that's the Monongahela.

Camille: Oh yeah! Captain: And they come together

to form the Ohio, right at the fountain.

As we go up the river, we'll see a couple more boats[boat horn sounding]

And you see that big net? Camille: The Science Center?

Captain Ryan: Yep, that's Carnegie Science Center,

and right in front of that is the Requin submarine.

Camille: Thank you for showing me your boat Captain Ryan.

Captain Ryan: You're welcome!

Camille: Thanks for coming with me neighbor! Bye!



Daniel: That was so much fun!

♪ [upbeat music]



Daniel: Hi, Neighbor!

Miss Elaina: Quack quack!

Daniel: [giggles] Miss Elaina and I are excited--

Elaina: Sososo excited!

Daniel: --because today, we're going to the Neighborhood Farm

to see Ducky the duck!

Elaina: Ducky is sooo cute!

She waddles...

like this.

Waddle waddle waddle.

Daniel: [giggles] Quack quack! Elaina: Waddle Waddle

Daniel: Waddle waddle waddle.

[laughs]

Quack, Quack, Quack

Dad: Are you ducklings ready to go to the farm?

Daniel: Oh, yes, please!

Elaina: Quuuuuuuaaaack!

That means, "Yessss!"

Daniel/Dad: [chuckles]

Margaret: [excited babble]

Daniel: Hi Trolley! Elaina: Hiya!

[ding-ding]

Dad: Please take us to the farm to see Ducky.

[ding-ding]

Daniel: ♪ We're going to the farm today ♪

♪ to see our Ducky friend!

♪ Won't you quack along with me? ♪

Elaina: ♪ Quack quaaaack!

Daniel: ♪ Won't you quack along with meeee! ♪

Daniel/Elaina: [giggle]

[ding-ding]

[ding ding]Elaina: Thanks Trolley. Daniel: Thank you, Trolley!

Daniel: Ducky likes to play in the pond.

C'mon, it's over here.

Daniel: Ducky! It's me, Daniel Tiger!

We're here to seeeeeee you!

Elaina: Quack quack quack quaaaaaack quack!



Daniel: Hmm, I don't see Ducky anywhere.

Maybe she's over in the flowers!

She's not here either.

[sighs]

[gasps] Ducky?

[ribbit]

Elaina: Nope. It's a frog.

[ribbit]

[sighs]

Daniel: Ducky! Quack!

Elaina: Ducky! Quack quack!

Prince Tuesday: [chuckles] I thought I heard

a lot of quacking out here.

A royal welcome to all!

Daniel: Hi, Prince Tuesday. Elaina: Hiya!

Daniel: Prince Tuesday, where's Ducky?

We really want to see her.

Prince Tuesday: Oh, I'm sorry, little D.

She's usually here, but she's not right now.

Daniel: Where is she?

Prince Tuesday: I think she's visiting another pond today.

Elaina: Another pond?

Prince Tuesday: Yep. I saw her flying that way this morning.

Daniel: So, we won't get to see Ducky today?

Prince Tuesday: I don't think so.

I'm sorry, I know how much you like to visit her.

Elaina: But, we were so so sooo excited!

I really wanted to see Ducky.

Daniel: Me too! Grr!

Dad: I can see you're both upset.

It is disappointing that Ducky's not here.

Elaina: Really disappointing!

Dad: ♪ When something seems bad, ♪

Daniel: Like not seeing Ducky.

Dad: Hmm, can you find something else

that's good at the farm?

Daniel: No. I don't see anything good.

Dad: Really? Noooothing good?

Daniel: Hmmm.

Something good...

Elaina: Looking for something good.

I'm not finding anything.

Daniel: Hmmm...

There are other things to see at the farm.

Prince Tuesday: There sure are!

Elaina: That could be something good.

Dad: Let's take a look around.

[oink-oink]

Daniel: Huh?

[gasps] Do you hear that?

Elaina: I hear pigs!

Prince Tuesday: We have some new piglets

that were born a few weeks ago!

Daniel: Dad, can we go visit the pigs?

Dad: I think that's a tigertastic idea.

Daniel/Elaina: ♪ When something seems bad,

Daniel: We can see other animals...

like the baby pigs!



Awwwwe!

Elaina: They're so cuuuute!

Daniel: I've never seen a baby pig before.

[gasps]

They're tiny.

Margaret/Elaina: [giggle]

Prince Tuesday: Would you like to help me feed them?

Daniel: Yes, please!

Elaina: Yes, yes yes!

Elaina/Prince: [giggle]

Prince Tuesday: Hold your bowl out like this

and the pigs will come over and eat.

Daniel: There you go, piggy!

You're hungry huh?

Oh! Come here,

Elaina: Num num num.

Daniel: I was disappointed that we couldn't see Ducky,

but I'm happy we get to play with these piggies!

Elaina: Eat your lunch, cutie-piggies!

[oink-oink] ♪

Daniel: [giggles] These piggies sure are messy!

Elaina: Whoa, you need napkins! [giggles]

Daniel: Napkins on your laps!

[chuckles] That would be so silly!

Heeeeey, do you want to make believe with me?

Let's make believe

the piggies are eating at a fancy restaurant!





♪ First we sit up straight,

♪ place a napkin in our lap,

♪ Wait until everyone grabs a seat. ♪

♪ And then it's time to eat,

♪ Ohhh

♪ Come and dine with the piggies. ♪

♪ The fancy piggies and me.



♪ No need to reach across the table, ♪

♪ Ask the pigs to pass the figs. ♪

♪ Then pass them to a friend

♪ Way down at the end.

♪ Ohhh

Daniel: Wasn't that grr-ific?

[horses neighing]

[neigh]

It's Peaches the horse!

[neigh]

There really are a lot of

other things to see at the farm.

Elaina: Hiya, Peaches!

Margaret: Hi! Hi!

Daniel: Prince Tuesday, can we pet Peaches?

Prince Tuesday: Sure. Just be gentle.

[neigh]



Dad: Oh, very gentle,

very gentle, like this.

Hello Peaches, this is Margaret.

Good girl! [neigh]

Elaina: So soft!

Margaret: [babbles]

[neigh]

Margaret: [babbles]

Tuesday: I've got to help Peaches get a little exercise.

[click-click] Giddy-up, horsey!

[chuckles] Margaret: [babbles]

Daniel: [giggles] I think Margaret likes Peaches!

Margaret: Up, up!

Daniel: Oh no! Baby Margaret looks sad.

Margaret: Up up up! [cries]

Elaina: I think she wants to ride Peaches.

Dad: Ohh, I'm sorry, Margaret,

but you're too small to ride a big horse.

You have to wait until you're older.

Margaret: [wailing]

Daniel: I think Baby Margaret is feeling--

disappointed.

Dad: I know, I'm sorry Margaret.

Daniel: You know what helped us?

Daniel/Elaina: ♪ When something seems bad,

Daniel: Like being too small to ride a horse.

Daniel/Elaina: ♪ Turn it around

Daniel: Like...we can play pretend horse!

I'm horsey Daniel! Neigh! Neigh!

Dad: Neigh!

Margaret: [babbles]

Daniel: Feed me a carrot, Margaret!

I'm a hungry horsey!

Elaina: Clippity clop!

All: [laughter]

It's me, Amira.

When I visit my Auntie Harriet,

I love to come to the beach and swim,

and feel the sand in my toes.

I also like to look for seashells!

Today I'm looking for shells to add to my bracelet.

I need to find shells that have a tiiiny hole.

Like this rainbow one!

Mmhmm...

I see you!

Let's see if we can find another shell for my bracelet.

[gasps] Ooo look!

I've never seen one like this before.

It has stripes!

Mmmm-- But, no hole for my bracelet.

I'll leave this one here, for someone else to find!



Ooh, here's another shell!

This shell is twisty! [giggles]

Mmmm-- but, there's no hole.

Sometimes it takes a long time

to find just the right shell.

[gasps] Uuuh, ah ha!

Do you see the tiiiiiny hole?

This shell is perfect for my bracelet!

I add it like this.

[humming]

There. And one more--

[humming]

Done!

I wonder if there's someone in your neighborhood

who likes to make their own jewelry.
