Daniel Tiger: [to viewer] Hi Neighbor.

Today, we're going to the hospital with my mom.

Then Jodi and I are going to the library

for craft time.

I'm so happy you're here.

Margaret: [playful giggles]

Daniel: Come on, catch me.

Dad Tiger: [chuckles]

Margaret: [babbles, giggling]

[distant rumbling]

Mom Tiger: [off screen] Ooh, ouch!

Dad: Are you okay?

Daniel: [worried] Mom! Are you okay?

Mom: Ahh!Daniel: What happened?

Mom: Ahh, I fell outside and...uh...

I hurt my arm.

Oh, it really hurts.

Dad: Hmm... here! Let's take a look.

Where does it hurt?

Mom: Ooh. Right there... Ow...ooh!

Mhm!

Daniel: [to viewer] Uh oh.

Mom's arm really hurts.

Dad: Hey there, my fuzzy guy. You okay?

Daniel: Um...

I feel a little worried.

Dad: ♪ When you're worried it helps, ♪

♪ it helps to talk about it. ♪

Daniel: I'm worried about Mom's arm.

Mom, are you going to be okay?

Mom: I'll be okay, Daniel.

But I think I should see a doctor.

Dad: We'll take Mom to the hospital.

Daniel: [panicking] The hospital? Right now?

Dad: Yes.

When someone is hurt or sick

and needs to be looked at quickly,

it can help to go to the hospital.

There are doctors and nurses there

all the time,

and they can help Mom.

Do you feel better, now that we talked about it?

Daniel: ♪ When you're worried it helps, ♪

♪ it helps to talk about it. ♪

I do feel better.

Dad: Okay, my fuzzy guy.

Maybe you could carry Mom's bag?

Daniel: I can do that!

I'm a helper tiger!

Mom: Ahh, thank you, Daniel.

Dad: Hi, Trolley.

[ding-ding]

Please take us to the hospital, Trolley.

Daniel: Mom hurt her arm.

[ding-ding]

[ding-ding]

Dad: Thanks, Trolley.

[ding-ding]

Nurse Miller: Oh, hi Mrs. Tiger.

What seems to be the problem?

Mom: I fell and hurt my arm.

It really hurts when I move it.

Nurse Miller: Well, you came to the right place.

I'll take you back to see the doctor.

We'll take good care of your mom.

Mom: Okay, my Tigers.

I'll see you soon.

Dad: We'll be right here.

Margaret: [fussy] Mama!

Dad: Aww...it's okay. It's okay Margaret.

Daniel: Whoa!

Look at those kites!

Dad: [gasp] Look, Margaret!

Do you see the colorful kites too?

Margaret: [curious babbles]

Dad: [chuckles] I see a yellow one...

and a green one...

Daniel: And a red one!

They're flying up...up...

up in the skyyyy!

Margaret: [babbles] Daniel: [giggles]

Fly!

Margaret: [babbles]

Up!

Daniel: [playfully] Up! Up! up!!

Margaret: Up! [giggles]

Daniel: Margaret wants to go up, up, up, like a kite!

[giggles]

[to viewer] Heeeyyy...

Do you want to make-believe with me?

Let's make-believe that Margaret and I are flying these kites!

♪ [sparkly transition]

♪♪

Narrator: ♪ See our kites dancing in the breeze. ♪

♪ But whoa! Uh oh!

♪ Now they're tangled in their strings ♪

♪ But don't worry, Dr. Tigey arrives ♪

♪ with his supplies, to patch a hole ♪

♪ or stitch a rip

♪ And he can help a lot with these tangled knots ♪

♪♪

♪ Once they're all fixed up and tangle free ♪

♪ We'll run back outside

♪ to watch the kites in the breeze ♪

♪ Dancing with the fall leaves

♪ [sparkly transition]

Daniel: [to viewer] Wasn't that grr-ific?

Mom: Hi, my Tigers!

Daniel: Hi, Mom!

Margaret: [babbles] Mama!

Mom: Dad and I will be right back.

Dad: It's okay, come with me.

♪ [gentle music]

♪♪

Daniel: [to viewer] Mom has something on her arm...

Dr. Lee: Hi, Mr. Tiger.

Mrs. Tiger can't lift anything heavy, and

she can't use her arm for a few days.

She should rest.

Daniel: [to viewer] The doctor said,

Mom can't do lots of things.

[worried] What if...

she can't play with me?

Or...

tuck me in at bedtime?

[gasp]

What if Mom can't hug me?

Mom: Thank you so much, Doctor.

Dad: Thank you, Dr. Lee.

Dr. Lee: Nice to see you, Daniel.

Margaret: Mama! [giggles]

Mom: The doctor took great care of me,

and now we can go home.

Margaret: [happy baby babble]

Mom: Daniel, what's wrong?

Daniel: I'm...worried.

Mom: ♪ When you're worried it helps, ♪

♪ it helps to talk about it. ♪

Can you help me know what's worrying you?

Daniel: ♪ When you're worried it helps, ♪

What's that?

Mom: Well, this is a sling.

It holds my arm so it won't move until it gets better.

Even though you can't see my arm,

it's under here.

See?

Daniel: Oh, I see it.

Mom: Yeah.

Now, is there anything else you're worried about?

Daniel: I heard something...

scary.

Mom: Can you tell me what you heard?

Daniel: I heard the doctor say

you can't do lots of things.

And...you can't move your arm.

Does that mean you can't play with me?

Or...

...give me hugs?

Mom: Aww, Daniel.

Of course, I can still play with you.

But for now, we need to be careful

and gentle around my arm.

Daniel: I can be gentle.

Mom: Okay. Now, Dr. Lee said

I'll need to rest my arm while it gets better.

I can't do some things like play catch

or pick up Margaret...

But there are lots of things I can do!

Daniel: Like what?

Mom: Well...I can read bedtime stories,

and sing songs,

and give gentle one-armed tiger hugs...

like this!

Mmmhm!

Daniel: [contented sigh]

I feel better now.

Mom: Let's go my little Tigers!

Margaret: [babbles/giggles]

Daniel: Hi, Trolley!

Dad: Please take us home, Trolley.

[ding-ding]

Daniel: [to viewer] Let's spend some time

with one of our Neighbors!

Cam: Hi, I'm Cam and today I'm going to be making

a paper mosaic.

Sheila: Hi Cam, it's nice to see you.

Cam: Hi Sheila.Sheila: Why don't you come on in,

and I'll show you around. Cam: Cool!

Sheila: Welcome to the studio, Cam.

This is a place in the Neighborhood

where people see and create art.

Cam: Cool. Sheila: I'm an artist myself.

Would you like to see something I've done?

Cam: Yes please.

Sheila: Take a look at this picture.

So, this is the mosaic outside.

I've used marble, granite, tile pieces;

it's all little pieces that come together.

That's how you make a mosaic.

Cam: That's beautiful.

Sheila: Let's sit down. You can use this paper.

And you got a glue stick and scissors,

so you need to pick out some paper that you like.

Cam: Ooh!

Sheila: I love the way colours change,

depending on what you put behind it.

And then you decide by looking around,

where is that gonna go best?

Art makes me so happy.

I'm so happy that we're doing this together;

how does it make you feel, Cam?

Cam: It makes me feel happy,

because, I love knowing

that I can make somebody, somebody else feel happy.

Sheila: I love the way it's coming together,

it's really starting to look like a mosaic.

Have you thought about who you're going to give it to?

Cam: I think I want to give it to my family,

I love them a lot.

Sheila: Thank you so much for coming,

your mosaic looks great!

Cam: Thank you.

[to viewer] Bye Neighbors!

Daniel: [to viewer] I like these visits with you!

♪ [playful music]

Daniel: [to viewer] Hi Neighbor!

Today, I'm going to the library for craft time,

and I'm bringing...

This!

I'm going to make something out of it!

And you can come too!

Dad: We should go now, so we're not late

for your appointment with Dr. Lee.

Mom: Okay.

Daniel: [to viewer] Why is mom going to see Dr. Lee?

[gasps]

What if she hurt her arm again?

Dad: Come on Margaret!

Let's go get your cozy sweater.

Margaret: [baby babbles]

Mom: Daniel? Ready to go?

Daniel: [worried] Um...

uh...

Mom: Hey, you look worried.

Daniel: Ah, Mom...?

Mom: Yes?

Daniel: I am worried.

Mom: ♪ When you're worried it helps, ♪

Can you tell me what's worrying you?

Daniel: I'm worried your arm is hurting again

because you're going to see Dr. Lee.

Mom: Ohhhh.

I understand Daniel.

Thank you for telling me so we can talk about it.

Dr. Lee is just checking my arm

to make sure it's getting better.

Daniel: Oh.

Will you get to take that off today?

Mom: My sling? Maybe.

Dr. Lee will tell me if I need to wear it a little longer.

Daniel: Ohhhhh.

If we're going to the doctor...

I'm worried we won't get to go to craft time

at the library. Mom: Mhmm!

You are going to craft time today, Daniel.

Dr. Plat's going to take you with Jodi.

Daniel: I'm going with Jodi?

[excited] Yay!

I'm glad I told you what I was worried about.

I feel better now.

Mom: I'm glad you told me too.

Dad: [off screen] Time to go.

Daniel: Ooh! I just need to get my box for craft time.

♪♪

Jodi Platypus: Hi, Daniel!

Daniel: Hi, Jodi!

Daniel/Jodi: We get to go to the library together!

[giggle]

Jodi: Yippy skippy!

And Benji's coming too!

He wants to give you a hug!

Daniel: Aww!

He's soooo soft!

Mom: I'll meet you at the library when we're finished.

Dr. Plat: See you then!

Daniel: I hope your arm is all better, Mom.

Mom: Mmm, thank you, Daniel.

Dad: Bye Daniel!

Daniel: Bye!

Margaret: Bye Bye!

Jodi: [chanting] Come with me the libraryyy!

[humming]

Here you go!

Now I can give you a piggy back ride!

Jodi/Daniel: [giggles]

Daniel: [to viewer] Wouldn't it be silly

if Benji made a craft too?

[giggles]

Heyyyyy...

do you want to make-believe with me?

Let's make believe...

that Benji is an artist!

Daniel: ♪ Let's all go to Benji's art studio! ♪

♪ Grab an apron and some paint

♪ Let's imagine and create

♪ It's fun to color and draw with you ♪

♪ So grab the glitter and some glue ♪

♪ Make a craft, sculpt, or paint ♪

Dr. Plat: You two head over to the craft table,

while I return these books.

Daniel: Okay! Jodi: Okay mama!

Jodi: Come on Benji, craft time!

[gasp] Benji?

Where'd you go?

He was just in here.

Oh no!

Daniel: Uh oh.

[to viewer] Jodi can't find Benji.

X The Owl: Gather round for craft time!

Jodi: I...I...!

Dr. Plat: What's going on, Jodi?

Jodi: I can't find Benji - anywhere!

I, I thought he was in here but-

Dr. Plat: Do you remember where you saw him last?

Jodi: He was... He was in my backpack,

but now he's not.

[sad] He's...

..lost!

Dr. Plat: [gently] Alright.

I know you had him when we left our house.

He must have fallen out along the way.

You two start craft time with X,

and I will go find Benji. Okay?

Jodi: Okay.

Daniel: Here, Jodi.

Jodi: Thanks.

O The Owl: Hello, hoohoo! Miss Elaina: Jodi! Daniel!

Daniel: Hi!

X: Looks like you each brought something from home.

You can use whatever is on this table

to decorate it in any way you choose.

Elaina: Boomerific! Daniel: Thank you!

Elaina: Oooh. Daniel: Wow!

O: Look at all the colors, hoohoo.

Mhmm..

[giggles]

[off screen] I like this one.

Elaina: [off screen] This looks like a little robot.

Boop!

O: This looks like a dinosaur.

Daniel: Ooo, this can be a backpack for Tigey!

Jodi: [sad sigh] Benji.

X: Hey there, Jodi.

I see you haven't started your craft yet.

Are you okay?

Jodi: I'm worried.

Well, Benji fell out of my backpack on the way here,

so my mama went to look for him,

but I'm worried she won't find him.

X: Thanks for telling me, Jodi.

Your mama is going to look very hard for Benji,

and I think she'll bring him back to you.

In the meantime, do you want to make something for Benji?

Jodi: Maybe... this could be a little hat for him?

X: Ooh, I like that idea, Jodi!

Do you want to use some of these pom poms?

Jodi: Yes.

This will be a cozy hat for Benji!

[humming]

Daniel: Benji likes purple,

maybe he would like these for his hat too.

Jodi: Thank you, Daniel.

Elaina: And some buttons!

Jodi: [giggles] Benji loves buttons.

O: Hmm, here's a heart sticker

for Benji's hat too, hoo hoo.

Jodi: Thank you.

Daniel: [off screen] Tigertastic!

I think Benji's gonna like that hat.

Jodi: I love it! Thanks.

[deep breath]

I feel a little better now.

Daniel: Wanna hug?

Jodi: Mmm-hmm.

Daniel: Hmmmm...

Elaina: Squeeeezy hug! O: [giggles]

Elaina: Beep-boop-beep! O: Roaaar!

Dr. Plat: Hello, JoJo Bean!

Daniel: Yay! Jodi: Benji! [giggles]

You found him! Where was he?

Dr. Plat: Just outside.

He must have fallen out of your backpack.

Jodi: I missed you so much!

Thanks, mama!

Look what I made!

Dr. Plat: Oooh!

I like the soft pom poms you used.

Jodi: It's a hat for you, Benji! See?

Daniel: [off screen] It's purple, your favorite!

Jodi: [as Benji, off screen] Oooh! I love my hat!

It's sooo cozy.

[giggles]

It's me, Dr. Lee.

I work at the hospital and today

I want to introduce you to a special friend.

Come see.

This is Sunny.

Sunny is a trained therapy dog.

Sometimes, I bring him to the hospital

so he can help the patients, nurses,

and even the doctors like me,

feel better.

He loves being with people

and wags his tail when he's happy.

See?

[laughs]

This red vest shows everyone

that he's a therapy dog at the hospital.

Sunny knows a few tricks.

Let's show our Neighbors!

Sunny, high-five!

♪♪

[laughs]

And...high-five over here!

♪♪

Good boy!

Sunny, snuggle.

Aww...[laughs]

Sunny: [crunching]

Dr. Lee: [giggles]

Sometimes, when we're worried,

therapy dogs, like Sunny,

can help us feel..

calmer.

[to viewer] I wonder if there's someone in your neighborhood

who feels better around animals.
