Daniel Tiger: [to viewer] Hi, Neighbor!

Miss Elaina and I are flying through an obstacle course

while our dads are busy.

And then O and I are putting on a magic show at the Library.

You can come too!

I'll be riiiight back!

Daniel: [excited] Dad! Dad! Come and find me!

Dad Tiger: I wish I could play with you, Daniel,

but I can't right now. I'm working.

Daniel: Pleeeease?

Dad Tiger: I'm sorry, Daniel.

Daniel: [sighs sadly]

Dad Tiger: I know it can be hard

when I'm doing other things.

You can be the pilot! [giggles]

Ok, Pilot Tigey!

Let's go!

Liftoff!

[airplane noises]

Let's fly in a circle!

[to viewer] Heeeey,

do you want to make-believe with me?

Let's make-believe

that I'm making shapes with my airplane,

high in the sky!

Narrator: ♪ Flying high up in the sky ♪

♪ Making shapes, as we fly!

♪ Make a circle as big as you want it to be ♪

♪ Draw a triangle, --!

♪ Flying from here, to there

♪ To make a square.

♪ Or swoop and make a heart to show you we care ♪

Daniel: [to viewer] Wasn't that grr-ific?

[airplane noises]

Dad Tiger: [chuckles] Looks like you found

something to do with Tigey, huh?

[hopeful] You're done with your work!

Can you come play with me now?

Dad Tiger: I'd like to Daniel, but I'm not quite done yet.

This clock doesn't sound right, and I need to fix it.

You see, the music starts to play...

but then... ♪ [chimey sour note]

huh...

I'm going to take it over to Music Man Stan's house now

to see if he can help.

Daniel: [sad] Oh. Okay...

Dad Tiger: Why don't you come with me?

Maybe you and Miss Elaina can play while we work.

Daniel: [excited] Okay!

Bye, Tigey!

Hi Trolley!

Trolley: [ding-ding]

Dad Tiger: Trolley, please take us to the Museum-Go-Round.

Trolley: [ding-ding]

Dad Tiger: ♪ We're on our way to the Museum-Go-Round, ♪

♪ to fix these musical sounds! ♪

Daniel: ♪ Won't you ride along with me? ♪Dad Tiger: ♪ Ride along!

Daniel: Thanks, Trolley!

Trolley: [ding-ding]

Miss Elaina: [giggles] Daniel! Daniel!

Come play with us!

Music Man Stan: Hello, Tigers!

Dad Tiger: Hello there! Daniel: Hi!

Dad Tiger: Whoa! Would you look at this obstacle course!

Daniel: It's tigertastic!

Miss Elaina: Thanks! My dad and I made it.

C'mon, Dad! [giggles]

Let's show them how we do it!

Music Man Stan: I'm going to help Daniel's dad now,

so I need to stop playing.

Miss Elaina: But.. I want you to play with us.

Music Man Stan: Well, Daniel is here.

You can play with him while I go to work with his dad for a bit.

[excited] Choo choo!

Through the bumpy train tunnel!

Daniel: Tigertastic!

[giggles]

Miss Elaina: Hiya!

Daniel: I'm pulling into the station!

Miss Elaina/Daniel: [giggles]

Miss Elaina: Chuggachugga! Chuggachugga!

Miss Elaina/Daniel: [giggles]

Miss Elaina: Chuggachugga! Choo choo...

Miss Elaina/Daniel: [gasp]

Daniel: Oh no! Miss Elaina: My tunnel!

Let's get my dad. He can fix it!

Dad Tiger: So, you think that would fix the music?

Music Man Stan: That's what I'm thinking...

Daniel: They're still busy working on the clock.

Miss Elaina: I wanted to play with this!

Hmm...

[gasps] It looks like an airplane!

lift off! Daniel: Lift off!

Daniel/Miss Elaina: [flying noises]

and Pilot Daniel,

Daniel: Here we cooomee!

We're super high now!

Miss Elaina: Hey, there's my house!

Daniel: It looks so tiny! [giggles]

Miss Elaina: Now we're flying...backwards!

[giggles]

Daniel: Weeee! [giggles]

Miss Elaina: Whoosh!

Daniel: Whoo hoo!

Miss Elaina/Daniel: [giggle]

Narrator: ♪ When you're lookin' for something to do, ♪

Music Man Stan: We sure are!

[impressed] Look at this plane!

Daniel: We're coming in for a landing!

Wheeeeee!

Miss Elaina: Whee hee! [giggles]

We're here!

♪ [Twinkle twinkle chimey music] ♪Miss Elaina: Ooooh!

Daniel: The song sounds good now, Dad!

Dad Tiger: Thanks, my fuzzy guy. It's all fixed.

Thanks to Music Man Stan!

Daniel: [proudly] And look what we played with

while you were busy!

Miss Elaina: Our airplane!

Isn't it boomerific?

Music Man Stan: [impressed] Wow!

It certainly is, Captain Elaina!

Miss Elaina: Let's get ready for takeoff!

Dad Tiger: [airplane noises]

[chuckles] In the air!

Daniel: [to viewer] Our dads were busy today,

but Miss Elaina and I looked around

and found tigertastic things to do!

What can you do when a grownup is busy?

Uggamugga!

♪♪

Daniel: [to viewer] Let's go see some Neighbors!

♪♪

Lyric: Hi, I'm Lyric, and today I'm going to learn

what it's like to be a pilot.

Lyric: Hi, Mr. Leon.

Mr. Leon: Hi, Lyric. How are you doing today?

Lyric: Good.

Mr. Leon: Have you ever wondered what it would be like

to be a pilot and to fly a plane?

Lyric: Yes. I think it would be really cool to be a pilot.

Mr. Leon: That's great, because here at the Aviation Center

we have lots of exhibits, lots of activities,

to help people learn about aviation.

Lyric: What's aviation?

Mr. Leon: It's about the flying of planes and helicopters.

Would you like to learn more about that?Lyric: Yes.

Mr. Leon: Let's take a walk in the center. Let's go!

Lyric, over here, is when pilots fly a plane,

they have what you call a cockpit.

Now in the cockpit, they have all the instrumentation

to tell them where to go.

First, we need to start the engine.[engine rumbles]

Alright, now let's check in for air traffic control over here.

[engine rumbles]

Speed, more speed!

There you go!

Oh, there's a runway.

See when you get in, that's where you're headed.

Here we have a lot of information in the center

about a group called The Tuskegee Airmen,

and they were great pilot fighters in the day.

Lyric: Wow, this is so cool. Is that what they wore?

Mr. Leon: This is exactly like what they used to wear.

You can look at the kind of head gear they have, the goggles.

You see the jacket, that's a nice leather jacket.

Lyric: Who's this?

Mr. Leon: That's Mae Jemison.

She was the first African American female astronaut.

Lyric: Wow, she's an astronaut!

Thank you for showing me around the center today.

Mr. Leon: You're so welcome!

Lyric: [to viewer] Bye, Neighbor!

Daniel: [to viewer] I like these visits with you!

♪ [playful music]

♪♪

Daniel: [to viewer] Hi Neighbor!

It's me, Daniel Tiger!

And...

Trolleyyyyy!

Trolley: [ding-ding]

Daniel: We're taking mom to the library for her...

um...I forgot.

[to mom] Why are we taking you there?

Mom Tiger: For my book club!

A few of our neighbors and I

all read the same book,

and today we're going to talk about it!

Daniel: We're here!

Trolley: [ding-ding]

O The Owl: Hello, hoo hoo!

X The Owl: Howdy!

Daniel: [to viewer] [gasps] O is here!

Hi, O!

O The Owl: Daniel, is your mom going to book club

with my Uncle X?

Daniel: Yes!

O The Owl: I'm going to stay and play at the library.

Daniel: You are? O The Owl: Mhmm.

Daniel: Maybe I can too!

Mom, can I please stay at the library and play with O?

Mom Tiger: [to X] Is it okay with you?

X The Owl: It's fine by me!

Mom Tiger: Okay, you can stay at the library,

but you and O will need to play quietly on your own,

while we're busy with our book club.

Do you think you can do that?

Daniel/O The Owl: We can do that!

Dad Tiger: Well then, Margaret and I are off for a walk!

We'll see you both later!

Mom Tiger: Okay, bye! Daniel: Bye bye!

O The Owl: Hoo hoo-ray!

Mom Tiger: Hmm...

Here's a comfy cozy spot for you two to play quietly.

X The Owl: And we just got this nifty-galifty

new book you might like.

Daniel: [gasps] Is it a book about magic?

I love magic!

O The Owl: I do too, hoo hoo!

Mom Tiger: We'll be right over there. Okay?

X The Owl: [low voice] Have fun.

Daniel: [low voice] Okay. O The Owl: We will.

O The Owl: Ooh, what will the magician pull out of his hat?

Daniel: Abra-ca-dabraaaaaaa...

O The Owl: [giggles] A smaller hat?

Daniel: Okay, what will the magician pull out of this hat?

O The Owl: Abra-ca-dabraaaaa...

Daniel: A teeny tiny hat?!

[giggles]

O The Owl: Now what will the magician

pull out of his teeny tiny hat?

Daniel: Abra-ca-dabraaaa...

It's a little ant!

Wearing an eensy, weensy, teeny, tiny hat!

Daniel/O The Owl: [giggles]

Daniel: The end!

That was tigertastic!

I love magic tricks.

O The Owl: Me too, hoo hoo!

Owls are excellent at magic.

[gasps] My Uncle X knows a nifty galifty magic trick.

Daniel: He does? Can I see it?

O The Owl: Sure! Let's go ask him to do it for us!

Mom Tiger: You know, I would love to discuss this next part.

X The Owl: Yes, me too!

O The Owl: Uncle X?

Can you show us that magic trick you do?

X The Owl: O, remember what we talked about?

I'm busy at the moment,

but I'd be happy to show you my magic trick

when book club is over.

O The Owl: Mmm, but...

how long will that be?

X The Owl: A little while.

Daniel: A little while? [sighs]

O The Owl: But we're so excited about magic, hoo hoo!

Could you please do the magic trick now?

X The Owl: I can't right now.

Why don't you and Daniel look around the library

for something else quiet to do.

O The Owl: He does!

Watch me pull a book out of my hat!

[giggles] Daniel: [giggles]

[to viewer] I wonder what else they'll pull out of the hat!

[giggles]

Heyyy,

do you want to make-believe with me?

that we're magicians

and we can pull anything

we want out of our magic hats!

Daniel: ♪ I can be a great magician. ♪

♪ Watch what I can pull

♪ from my magic hat.

♪ A shiny red toy car,

♪ Lots of brightly coloured scarfs. ♪

♪ A fish in a bowl!

♪ Or a long fishing pole!

♪ The biggest sandwich that you've ever seen! ♪

♪ I can be a great magician!

♪ [sparkly transition]

Daniel: [to viewer] Wasn't that grr-ific?

O The Owl: Daniel, want to watch my magic trick?

Daniel: Sure!

O The Owl: Abraca-hoo-hoo-dabra!

I can make this book...

[dramatically] Disappearrrrrrrrrr!

Daniel: Oooooh!

It's gone! Can I try?

O The Owl: [giggles] Okay.

Daniel: Abracadabra,

I can make this book...

[dramatically] disappeeeeeear!

O The Owl: [gasps] It's gone!

Daniel: Tah-daahhh...Oops!

Maybe I need to keep trying.

[giggles]

I have an idea!

We can do our magic tricks at the puppet stage.

O The Owl: Nifty galifty!

Daniel: Abracadabra!

I can make...

myself disappeeeeeear!

[giggles]

Tah-daaaah!

O The Owl: [giggles]

My turn!

Abraca-hoo-hoo-dabra!

I can make myself...

[dramatically] disappeeeeeeear!

Daniel: Grr-ific!

[giggles]

Let's put on a magic show together!

O The Owl: Good idea, Daniel!

But, who will watch our show?

Daniel/O The Owl: Hmm..

[gasp] The grownups!

Daniel: I'll go get them.

X The Owl: Then, when we get to chapter ...

Mom Tiger: Oh, this was my favorite part of the book!

Daniel: They look kind of...busy.

[to viewer] But, I really want them to watch our show.

O The Owl: [giggles]

Who else can come to our show?

Daniel: [as lion puppet] I want to come.

O The Owl: [giggles]

Daniel: [as robot puppet] Me too!

O The Owl: Come see our magic show!

Daniel: [to puppets] Would you like to come to our show?

O The Owl: There. We have an audience!

[giggle]

Daniel: Welcome to our magic show.

I'm Daniel the Grr-ific...

O The Owl: And I'm O, the O-mazing.

Daniel/O The Owl: [giggle]

Mom Tiger: Hello, magicians.

Daniel: Mom! Is book club done now?

Mom Tiger: It is!

I'm proud of you for finding something to do

while we were busy.

O The Owl: Can you do your magic trick for us now, Uncle X?

X The Owl: Do you see this coin?

Just an ordinary coin?

Daniel/O The Owl: Yes?!

X The Owl: Watch as I make this coin...

[dramatically] disappear!

See?

Daniel: Whoa! O The Owl: Ooooooh

X The Owl: But wait a minute...

Hmm, I think I might know where the coin is...

Daniel: You do?!

X The Owl: Here it is!

Daniel: [awe-struck] Wow!

O The Owl: [to Daniel] I told you he was really good at magic!

Daniel: [to viewer] O and I read a book...

and did magic together while the grownups were busy

at the library today.

What do you do when a grownup is too busy to play with you?

You can look around to find something to do too!

They can be any color!

My Uncle X taught me

that when you put paper over a leaf like this...

And then draw on the paper with the side of a crayon...

[humming]

[gasps] Look at that!

It makes a picture of the leaf, hoo hoo!

[giggles]

I love making leaf drawings.

♪♪

[to viewer] I wonder if there's someone in your neighborhood

who likes making things with nature!
