It looks like we'll have
a fair wind for our voyage.

Teddy:
Suits me, Gimmick.
I can't wait to get home.

Home. Hmm.

I wonder what it'll be like
after being gone so long.

We'll be there in no time
if this breeze keeps up.

Prepare to take, uh, off!

Teddy:
Next stop Rillonia, Father.

Hermit:
Home.

[rock music playing]

Oh!

Buffy:
Oh, it's so romantic, L.B.

What a sight!

You're a sight, Buffy.

Oh, L.B.

Yech! That's the yuckiest
thing I've ever seen.

-[gasps]
-No...

that's the yuckiest thing
you've ever seen.

-Ew!
-[Bounders shriek]

Can't wait to get
out there, huh boss?
[laughing]

Like, ya-hoo!

Huh?

Ooh, intense.

Ooh, those are
totally awesome waves.

Yeah, Tweek can't wait
to get out there.

[laughter]

Hey, no time
like the present, son.

Let's get surfing!

Come on, son!

Hey, man, this is life
to the max.

Huh? Ya-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Oh, L.B.,

it's so romantic!

Like, come on, son.

[Tweeg groans]

Wa-hoo-hoo!

Whoa!

Yow!

-[Tweeg screams]
-Ah!

Like, check out
this move, son.

[laughs]

Oh, that's impossible.

Like, you should see
his good moves.

Come on, son.

Like, surf's up! Radical.

Ya-ha-hooey!

Coming, uh, Daddy-O.

Grubby:
Teddy, can you help me
tie down my root stew?

It shouldn't be
running around loose.

Uh-oh! Stew, overboard!

The wind sail can't
take much more.

You're right, Gimmick.

Teddy, Burl,
can you take in the sail?

-Whoa!
-Teddy!

Heavens to Grundo!

-Help!
-Uh-oh.

[Teddy straining]

[gasps]

Hang on! I've got you.

[straining]

[groans]

[breathing heavily]

Oh, my.

-Thanks, Grubby.
-Gimmick: Oh, no!

Look, over there!

[all gasping]

It's a tornado!

[all screaming]

Whoa!

[groaning]

-[gasps]
-Where are we?

-What happened?
-I thought we were goners
there for a minute.

I-- I believe we're in
the eye of the tornado.

Look, Teddy,

a flying fish.

[laughs]

Well, how do we get out?

I suppose we'll just
have to wait out the storm.

Hey, I got my root stew
back. Want some?

Uh, thanks, Grubby, but no.

Where do you think
we'll land, Gimmick?

That is a prognostication

that I am unwilling
to furnish at this time.

-What's he saying?
-He doesn't know.

Ginnie:
There must be some gnarly storm
stirring up those curls.

Tweeg:
Well, I guess that's it
for today, huh?

It's just getting
good out there.

Are you nuts?

Like, you can't
go out there, dude man.

Hey, you can't stop me now.

I'm going to Surf City.

Manfred:
Your Old Man's insane, man.

[laughs]
I guess, like,
it runs in the family.

[exclaiming]

-Oh, that's so cool!
-Yeah, radical!

Hey, your Daddy-O's
real good.

How come you
can't do anything right?

I take after my Mommy.

[chattering]

Wasn't that thrilling, L.B.?

Give my dad a hand.

Funny, Twink. Real funny.

[laughing]

-Teddy: We're landing.
-Burl: But where?

Gimmick:
It seems particularly difficult

to ascertain our current
situational parameters.

-He doesn't know where we are.
-Well, I do.

We're going to come down hard.
Brace yourselves!

Welcome to Rillonia.

-Teddy, we're home.
-Home?

I know this meadow.

Your mother and I used to
come here all the time.

These are her
favorite flowers.

Rillonian Rose-a-dalias.

We haven't
got far to go now.

Can you lend us a couple
of hands, Grubby?

I'll give you
all eight, Teddy,

as soon as I have
a snack.

I think I've earned it.

[slurping] Mmm.

Like, this is your
chance, son.

These are dream waves.

Get out there,
you crazy dreamer.

He's more of a crazy schemer.

Uh, surf's up, is it?

Mummy always said
I was born to make
her miserable.

Like, if your pop

we're gonna take

You're off
to a happening start, like!

[all exclaiming]

Congratulations, Tweeg.

[inhales]

That's the first time

I ever saw you
do anything right.

Oh, thanks, L.B.

Burl:
And that's Abner Dispin's
farm down there.

That seems to be some sort of
community coming up.

Burl:
Teddy, it's our village.

-Look at that!
-I've never seen
anything like it.

-Oh, my goodness!
-Look at that!

I don't know what
it is,

but I'm sure
that's Teddy Ruxpin.

We're home, Father, home!

Yes, son, we made it.

I never thought
I'd be home again.

Teddy:

Hmm. She's not here.

Male voice:
Teddy! Teddy Ruxpin!

Welcome home!
I don't believe it!

Digger!
It's great to be home.

Have you seen my mom?

That's what I came to tell you.

Imagine arriving
today of all days.

What's so special about it?

Your mother's
at the town square.

She's going to unveil
a statue in memory
of your long-lost father.

[chuckles]
My long-lost father?

Let me introduce you
to my companions, Digger.

This is Grubby
and Newton Gimmick.

And this...

is my long-lost father.

Mr. Ruxpin?

I-- I'm-- I'm, uh--
I mean, you're all--

It's-- It's an honor
to meet you.

Welcome home.

Thank you, Digger.

You must come
to the town square

-for your unveiling.
Well, I mean, for your statue.
-[chuckling]

I mean,
your statue's unveiling.

-I could take you.
-Thanks, Digger.

-But I've got a different
approach in mind.
-But, Father--

Don't worry, Teddy,
I'll see you at the ceremony.

Now go along
with your friends.

But not a word to anyone
that I'm here.

Excuse me, Newton?

I wonder if you'd help me
with a little surprise.

-But of course, Burl.
-Great.

Now, let's get that
reducing machine of yours.

Uh, okay, Pop,
enough simulations.

Now I'm ready
for the big time.

-[screaming]
-Yeah, that's it,
you've got it!

You know something,
I think he's got it.

Go with the break
of the wave, Tweegy!

Yeah! Like, way to go!

Get locked into some
nice barrels, son.

Whoa! Like, bonsai!

What's Tweeg want to get
locked into some barrels for?

Oh, like, surfing talk, L.B.

Like, you know,
that surfing talk.

[laughing]
Like, awesome!

Yah-ha-hooey!

So, the town decided
to build a monument
to the great explorer.

But now he's back...

and your back, and--

and I'm so glad, and...

oh, what a wonderful day!

Huh? Uh-oh!

[both gasp]

Watch out.

Was that... Teddy?

No, no, no, it couldn't be.

Mother!

Teddy, you're home!
You're safe!

[laughing]

Grubby, oh,
it's so good to see you.

Huh?

[laughs]

Mother,
this is Newton Gimmick,
a very dear friend.

Mr. Gimmick,
I'm very pleased to meet you.

Oh, what a day!

My son home, safe and sound.

And a ceremony
to honor his father.

Where is my father, Gimmick?

Gimmick:
You'll see. [laughing]

My fellow Illiops,
this is a great day
for our town.

It's Burl Ruxpin Day.

And here to unveil the statue
of that famous but lost explorer

is Ilana Ruxpin!

[crowd cheering]

I'm pleased to be here,
Mr. Mayor.

And I'm even more pleased to
welcome home my son, Teddy,

on this special, special day.

[cheering]

Yes, welcome, Teddy.

Welcome.

[clears throat]
As the mayor
of the village,

it is my happy lot
to say,

uh, a few words

on the unveiling of our
statue of Burl Ruxpin.

[mayor clears throat]

He was an Illiop
who brought much richness

and understanding
to Illiop life,

by establishing trading routes
throughout Rillonia

and beyond.

Look, Teddy, he's holding
my favorite flowers.

What a lovely touch.

It looks quite a lot
like your father, too.

A bit older though,
and he looks awfully dusty.

[gasps]

-Achoo!
-Oh!

Huh?

It's me, Ilana, I'm home.

Burl, I can't believe it.

Is it you?
Is it really you?

-Yes, Ilana.
-Oh, Burl.

You've come back!
You've come back home.

[cheering]

[crying]

♪ We haven't been together
since I can't remember when ♪

-♪ You're more than a pal ♪
-That's true.

you're my dad ♪

I'm glad too, Teddy.

how much you've grown up ♪

the baby that I knew ♪

since you've shown up ♪

♪ I want to spend all my time
just being with you ♪

-Ah, shucks.
