BEASTGreat googly moogly!

Catch me if you can!

(Laughing)

Wee!

Maggie, I think it’s my turn!

Oh, please, just a little longer?

I wish I could get a ride.

I’m sorry, Beast.

But look how high she flies!

(Laughing)

You’re too big!

I know, I know.

Dear, Beast, I’m sorry.

What can we do cheer you up?

Really?

You want to cheer me up?

Yeah!

Are you sure?

Well, yes, I think so!

Just what did you have in mind?

No, never mind.

It’s too much to ask.

Don’t be silly, Beast.

Tell us what it is!

Well...

You know how I love pumpkin muffins.

Beast, just get to the point!

Well, I also love your gingerbread men cookies.

Oh, I love those gingerbread men cookies too!

We’ll help you bake them!

Well, then, let’s get started!

Maggie, help me set up the table.

I’ll help too.

I’m very good at licking the bowl.

Okay, Maggie, now!

Oops!

Right, I’ll get the rolling pin and the baking tray.

Oh, Hamilton, they look almost too cute to eat.

Hand me the raisins for their eyes.

Don’t forget their buttons!

I love lots of raisins!

Look, Hamilton, the bowl is completely clean!

I did a really good job!

Now, you can wash it in that pan of hot, soapy water.

Yes, Hamilton, I know.

(Humming)

They smell so good!

Oh, Hamilton!

They’re perfect.

And look at their little icing smiles and vests!

Careful, don’t touch, they’re still hot!

While they’re cooling, why don’t we take a break?

Good idea!

(Laughing)

Oh, can I push now?

Okay, but not too hard.

Okay.

And not too high!

Okay!

Make sure I don’t fall off!

I will, I will.

Maggie, are the cookies ready yet?

I don’t know.

Psst!

Let’s hide in that tall grass.

There’s no sign of them!

Gee, we just want to be friends.

You don’t think they believe that.

(Giggling) Hamilton’s right, Beast.

Did you ever meet a gingerbread man

you didn’t want to dunk in a nice cold glass of milk?

I guess not.

Hamilton, since we can’t catch these,

why don’t you bake some more?

Don’t be ridiculous, I don't

know what ingredient I added, but

whatever it was, I’m sure I couldn’t do it again.

Maybe we added more ginger.

Whenever I jump around a lot, my mother says,

"Maggie, you’re full of ginger today!"

(Giggling)

But I just want another batch to eat, not to chase around.

I’m not baking anymore gingerbread men.

Now, let’s see if we can find them.

I’m tired.

Me too.

What’s wrong?

(Sniffling) I lost my buttons!

I lost mine too!

Oh, great, it’s here!

Great googly moogly!

Now, that is a big violin!

I am the ferocious Beast.

Dear, Hamilton, are you all right?

Maggie, do you think this

violin belongs to the Kindly Giant?

I guess so!

Who else could it belong to?

If it didn’t belong to him, and

we couldn’t find the owner, I suppose, I could keep it.

Beast, I thought you were going to call the Kindly Giant?

Oh, I forgot, here I go!

Mr. Giant!

It’s me, the ferocious Beast!

Where are you?

(Rumbling)

GIANTWell, well, well.

Hello, ferocious Beast!

Hello, Kindly Giant!

We have something for--

Sir?

Kindly Giant?

It’s me Hamilton Hocks.

Sir, I found your violin, and I brought it back to you.

GIANTHmm, I’m sorry, little one.

This is not my violin, it isn’t anybody's violin.

Excuse me, sir!

I don’t understand!

GIANTThis isn’t a violin at all, it’s a bass fiddle.

But if it isn’t yours, sir, I’ll just take it home

and wait to see if we can find who it belongs to.

GIANTThat’s a good idea.

(Laughing)

Hamilton’s hoping he won’t find the owner!

He wants to keep it!

No, I don’t!

But it is so beautiful!

It just makes me happy when I look at it.

GIANTYes, to quote a great poet,

"A thing of beauty is a joy forever."

Now, get home safely, little friends.

Come and see me again!

Oh, this is yours?

We were wondering who it belonged to.

It’s mine, oh, yeah.

Well, hold on, how can we be sure?

Hmm, well, I can tell you where I left it.

I was trying to get a look at the giants,

so I left it in the apple grove.

When I got back, it was gone!

See, Hamilton, it is his!

Oh, I guess so.

Would you play for us?

I’d be glad to, but it would

sound better if I had some backup.

Can anybody tickle the ivories?

I beg your pardon?

Anybody play keyboard?

You mean, piano?
