Hi. I'm Milli.

I'm Geo.

And I'm Bot.

And we're a team of tiny superheroes.

[all] Team Umizoomi!

We're so glad you're here,

because today we're at the fire station

to check out the fire truck.

Wowee! I love fire trucks.

Do you like fire trucks?

Yeah. They're so cool.

There are three rescue gadgets

that every fire truck has to have:

a siren,

a fire hose,

and, ooh, what's that called?

A ladder. Yeah.

Let's go get a closer look.

Come on.

Whee-hee-hee!

[siren wailing]

The siren makes a really loud noise

and has flashing lights.

[siren wailing]

This is the fire hose.

It sprays water to put out fires.

And you can use this long ladder

to climb up really high.

A fire truck has everything a firefighter needs.

[bell ringing]

Listen. The fire alarm is going off.

[gasps]

There must be an emergency somewhere.

It's time for the firefighters to go to the rescue.

Yay, firefighters!

[siren wailing]

[horn honks]

[all] Bye, firemen!

Firefighters are so cool.

And so brave.

I wish I could be a firefighter.

[blooping sound]

That's our special team alarm, the umi alarm.

One of our friends is in trouble.

We can see who it is right here on my belly-belly...

[all] Bellyscreen!

It's our friend Vanessa.

Team Umizoomi, I've got an emergency.

[Milli] An emergency?

What is it, Vanessa?

Our new tree house is way up high in that tree.

I climbed up there with my little sister, Abby,

but now she can't climb down.

I'm too afraid to climb down from up here.

Don't worry, Abby.

We'll get you down from the tree house.

Okay.

Please, hurry, Team Umizoomi.

We're coming to the rescue, Vanessa!

Thanks.

Team Umizoomi...

[all] It's time for action!

This is an emergency.

To rescue Abby, we have to be brave,

just like firefighters.

And we're gonna need your help.

Will you be a firefighter with us

and help us rescue Abby?

Great!

But to rescue Abby like firefighters,

we're gonna need a fire truck.

[whirring]

[horn beeps]

[horn beeps]

Look. It's our friend Umi Car.

He wants to be our fire truck.

But, Umi Car, to be a fire truck,

you need a siren, a hose, and a ladder.

I have an idea!

I can turn Umi Car into a fire truck

with my super shape power.

[electricity buzzing]

First, we need a siren.

Which one of these shapes looks like a siren?

[dings]

Yeah, the one in the middle.

Which one of these shapes looks like a fire hose?

[dings]

That's it.

Only one more gadget to go.

Which one of these shapes looks like a ladder?

[dings]

Yeah, you found it, the one on the top.

Now we have all the shapes we need

to turn Umi Car into a fire truck.

♪ Super shapes

It worked.

Now Umi Car has all the firefighter rescue gadgets.

Way to go, Geo.

Umi Car even turned red, just like a real fire truck.

Now he's an umi fire truck.

[engine whirring]

Seatbelts on.

Now let's go get Abby down from that tree house.

It's an emergency.

Team Umizoomi firefighters to the rescue!

♪ Who's gonna rescue Abby from the tree? ♪

♪ We are, Team Umizoomi

♪ Who's gonna rescue Abby from the tree? ♪

♪ We are, Team Umizoomi

♪ We're on a mission to save the day ♪

♪ Here we come

♪ We're on our way

♪ We're gonna rescue Abby from the tree ♪

♪ Yeah, Team Umizoomi

We need to get to Abby's tree house

as fast as we can.

I can find the fastest way.

My robot computer says there are three streets

that go to Abby's tree house.

Carrot Street,

Apple Street,

and Pear Street.

To get there as fast as we can,

we have to take the shortest street.

Which street is the shortest?

Apple Street. Yes.

That's the fastest way to Abby's tree house.

[Geo] There's the sign for Apple Street.

[Milli] Umi Fire Truck, go that way, and fast.

[engine whirring]

[Geo] Uh-oh.

There sure are a lot of other cars on the road.

That's okay.

They'll let Umi Fire Truck go by

if they know we have an emergency.

What rescue gadget makes noises

to tell everyone there's an emergency?

-[siren wails] -The siren! Yeah!

[siren wailing]

Look. The siren is working.

[Geo] Everyone is moving out of the way

to let us through.

♪ You got to move fast And we can't slow down ♪

[quacking]

Hey, I hear something.

[quacking]

Huh.

What animals make that quacking sound?

[all] Ducks!

[tires squeal]

Quacking keyboards!

Those ducks are in our way!

We need a special siren sound

to make all these ducks move out of the way.

Leave that to me.

We've got...

♪ Pattern power

If we make these sounds,

the ducks will move out of the way.

The sounds go: whoo-whoo, quack.

Say it with me.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

Look. The sound pattern is working.

Let's say it louder.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

Whoo-whoo, quack.

All right!

The ducks moved out of the way.

Let's keep going.

[Geo] Oh, no!

Now there are ducks and frogs in our way.

I can take care of that.

We just need to add another sound

to our sound pattern.

The new sound pattern goes

whoo-whoo, quack, ribbit.

Say it with me.

Whoo-whoo, quack, ribbit.

Whoo-whoo, quack, ribbit.

Whoo-whoo, quack, ribbit.

It's working!

Say it louder!

Whoo-whoo, quack, ribbit!

Look.

Now the road is clear for our fire truck.

Good job, Umi Friend.

All right!

-That was great, Milli! -Whoo-hoo!

Let's use my bellyscreen to see how Abby is doing.

Hey, Vanessa. How's Abby?

She's still up in the tree house.

I'm really worried about her.

Abby, how are you doing?

I can't do it. I can't get down.

Sit tight, Abby.

The Team Umizoomi firefighters are coming to the rescue.

Okay. Thanks.

Step on it, Umi Fire Truck!

Remember, to get to the tree house,

we have to keep following the signs for Apple Street.

[Milli] When you see the sign for Apple Street,

say, "Apple Street."

[dings]

Apple street!

There it is.

[Geo] That way, Umi Fire Truck.

[engine rumbles]

So long as we keep following Apple Street,

we should be at Abby's tree house in no time.

[all] Whoa!

This road sure is bumpy.

[cans clanking]

[Geo] That paint truck better be careful,

or paint might spill everywhere.

[Bot] Oh, no.

The paint truck spilled paint all over the street signs.

[Milli] Now we don't know which street is Apple Street.

Hey, we can wash the paint away

with one of our rescue gadgets.

What does a fire truck have that sprays water?

A fire hose.

[gears clanking]

Here we go.

Fire hose on!

Whoa-oh-oh!

This fire hose is really strong.

I need your help!

To spray water on that sign,

should I spray higher or lower?

Higher. Good thinking.

[grunts]

[water splashing]

Is this the sign for Apple Street?

No. That's Elephant Street.

Let's try the next sign.

Yoinks-a-doinks!

Whoo! Okay.

To wash the paint off this sign,

should I spray to the left or to the right?

To the left! You got it!

Yah!

[water splashing]

What street is this?

Hot Dog Street. Ha!

That's not Apple Street.

Let's try another sign.

Whoa, Nellie!

This is one feisty fire hose.

Okay.

Now should I spray to the left or to the right?

To the right.

Yah!

[water splashing]

Is this the sign for Apple Street?

[dings]

Yes!

That's the way to Abby's tree house.

Good work, Umi Friend.

[engine whirring]

Team Umizoomi firefighters to the rescue!

[Milli] Oh, no. The bridge is up.

But we have to get over this bridge to rescue Abby.

There must be someone around here

who can put the bridge down for us.

Sorry!

I wish I could help you,

But I can't put that bridge down for anyone.

[all] Dormouse!

But, Dormouse, it's an emergency.

We're going to rescue Abby with Umi Fire Truck.

[engine revs]

Umi Fire Truck?

Well, why didn't you say so?

I always put the drawbridge down for fire trucks,

especially in an emergency.

I'll have this bridge down for you in no time.

I just need to push the right buttons

on these here control panels, and, uh...

[mumbles]

-that should do it. -[alarm buzzes]

[Bot] Did the bridge go down?

No?

Huh.

Let's see here. Um...

I must have pushed the wrong button.

Don't worry, Dormouse.

I can help you find the right button.

You? Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.

This is very complicated stuff.

You practically have to be a shape expert

to find the right button on this thing.

A shape expert?

Dormouse, I think I can help you.

You're great with shapes.

We can do this together.

All right. Give it a try.

The button you need is shaped like a triangle.

[door creaks]

Which button is shaped like a triangle?

That one. That's it.

[bell dinging]

Look.

It worked.

The bridge went down a little.

Wow. Nice one.

But... [laughs]

I don't think you're gonna be able

to figure out this next one.

The button you need here is shaped like a rectangle.

Which button is a rectangle?

Yeah, that's the rectangle.

[bell dinging]

The drawbridge went down some more.

It's almost all the way down.

You really do know your stuff.

Come take a look at this last one.

The button you need here is shaped like a square.

Where is the square?

The square. We found it.

[bell dinging]

-Whoo-hoo! -[whistles]

Great job.

You did it!

You made the drawbridge go all the way down.

You really did a first-class job back there.

[engine rumbling]

We've got to go rescue Abby from the tree house.

Come on, Umi Fire Truck.

Let's get over that bridge.

Team Umizoomi firefighters to the rescue!

Good luck, Team Umizoomi.

[Milli] Look. There's Vanessa.

[gasps] And there's the tree house.

[tires squeal]

Team Umizoomi, you made it!

My sister, Abby, is still stuck up there in the tree house.

[Bot] Whoa.

That tree is really tall.

To get to the top,

we need to use one of our rescue gadgets.

What rescue gadget can you use to get up to high places?

The ladder. Yeah.

Ladder extendo!

[gears clanking]

[slide whistle trilling]

Team Umizoomi, you're here.

Abby! Are you okay?

Uh-huh, but I'm too scared to climb down.

Don't worry. We can help you, Abby.

Yeah, we'll climb down the ladder with you

so it won't be so scary.

Okay.

Let's count and see how far Abby has to climb down.

Count the steps on the ladder with me.

Start at the top.

One, two, three,

four, five, six,

seven, eight, nine.

Nine steps.

I've never climbed down nine ladder steps before.

That's okay, Abby.

You don't have to climb down all nine at once.

Yeah, just do a few steps at a time.

We'll go with you.

Okay. I'll try.

All right!

Go for it, Abby!

One, two.

I'm doing it!

I climbed down two steps.

Way to go, Abby!

You're doing great.

Let's use my robot computer

to see how many steps Abby has left.

[computer beeping]

The ladder has nine steps,

and Abby climbed down two steps.

[popping sound]

How many steps does she have left?

Seven.

One, two, three,

four, five, six, seven.

Nine take away two is seven.

Sensational subtracting.

[Geo] Only seven more steps to go, Abby.

[Milli] You can do it.

Just keep going a little at a time.

All right. Here I go.

One...

Two...

Three...

Great job, Abby.

You climbed down three more steps.

There were seven steps left,

and then she climbed down three.

[popping sound]

How many steps does she have left?

Four!

One, two, three, four.

You got it.

Seven take away three is four.

You're almost there, Abby.

You're doing great.

Only four steps left, Abby.

I'm feeling really brave now.

One...

Two...

Three...

Four.

I made it!

-Whoo-hoo! -All right!

Hooray, Abby!

Abby, you climbed down all nine steps.

I'm so proud of you.

Uh-huh.

I'm not afraid to climb down from the tree house anymore.

You helped me be brave enough to climb down all nine steps.

You were really brave too, Umi Friend,

just like a firefighter.

[engine rumbling]
