[laughing]

Whoo-hoo!

[engine chugging slows]

Construction sites can be

very messy places.

Brenda the Bulldozer

likes to keep everything

neat and tidy.

But sometimes even tidying up

can cause problems.

[whistle toots]

All aboard for a big adventure!

[Thomas]

Out of Site."The Sodor ConstructionCompany was starting workon a new hospital buildingat Wellsworth.

Jack, Alfie, and Oliver,

I want you to dig out

the foundations.

Brenda is already

clearing the site.

[all]

Yes, Miss Jenny.

And mind you two

don't cause any trouble.

[gasps]

What, us?

Trouble? Never.

[sighs]

There. Pretty as a picture.

And flat as a pancake.

[gasps]

Oh, no you don't.

I don't want any mess

on my nice, flat ground.

- [all] Hello, Brenda!

- Hello, guys!

Just be careful with my...

smooth worksite.

[laughing]

Hiya, Brenda!

Hey! Max! Monty!

- Ooh!

- Whoo-hoo!

[coughing]

Ah!

This is the limit!

[both] Let's rock and roll!

[laughing]

Huh?

None shall pass!

Oh, come on, Brenda!

Quit fooling around.

We've gotta get past to take

this waste to the dump.

Well, then you'll have to take

a different route, won't you?

[groans]

Fine.

Good.

Now I can move on

to my other jobs.

All right, you two,

that's the last of it.

Good.

Bossy Brenda keeps making us

go the long way around.

I'm exhausted.

Don't worry,

I spotted a new shortcut.

We'll be back in no time.

Well, make sure you are!

The stone for the foundation

should have arrived by now.

Thanks for the stone, Percy!

[whistle toots]

[humming]

What?

Who left all this stone here,

ruining my nice, flat worksite?

[laughter]

I might have known.

I'll show them.

[Thomas]

So Brenda moved the stonethat Oliver and Alfiewere coming to collect.

Well, that's odd.

Jack said the stone

had been delivered.

But it was right here!

I'm sure it was,

I unloaded it.

Never mind,

we've got more stone now.

But where are Max and Monty?

They're supposed to be helping.

Hey!

Some shortcut, Max.

Next time I'll choose

the route back.

Oh, well,

I suppose we'll just have

to move this lot

without Max and Monty.

[gasps]

Not again!

Those dump trucks.

Imagine if they did this

to everyone.

[gasps]

How'd that get there?

[both laughing]

Shiver me timbers!

[muffled laughter]

Wow...

[boing]

[both] Whoa!

[Brenda]

Max!

And Monty!

[Thomas]

So Brenda movedthe second load of stonebefore the crewcould finish collecting it.

[gasps]

But that's impossible.

There was loads of stone here

when we left.

That's exactly what happened

to the first load!

Finished already?

Far from it, actually.

[sighs]

Sorry we're late.

- We got stuck.

- In mud, not traffic.

Miss Jenny,

I need to talk to you.

These dump trucks have been

leaving large amounts of stone

smack bang in the middle

of my nice, smooth--

- Mounds of stone?

- Yes!

Piles of it.

I had to move it all

out of the way.

Um, where exactly

did you put it, Brenda?

[all laughing]

It's not funny.

I had to clear it all away

when I should have been

working on my other jobs.

But we didn't

dump that stone.

[Jack]

Of course you didn't!

It's the stone

for the foundations!

To make them strong

so we can build on top of them!

Oh. But...

why was it in the middle

of my smooth, level worksite?

Maybe we should be asking

why you smoothed the worksite

before the foundations

were completed?

Everybody has to be able

to use the site

and do their jobs, Brenda.

That's how a team works.

Sorry, Miss Jenny.

I'm sorry, Max and Monty.

I'm sorry, everyone.

I guess I just got carried away

with trying to get

my own jobs done.

Never mind!

But seeing as you're so good

at moving

large mounds of stone,

why don't you give us a hand

with moving this lot

to the foundation site!

[laughing]

Spot on, Alfie.

Teamwork's what I like to see

in my team.

Okay, Brenda,

now you can do your bit!

Level away!

Right!

Whoo-hoo-hoo!

[humming]

[sighs]

Here we go.

You know, there is nobody

that can keep things level

better than our Brenda.

[all]

Yay! Hooray!

[whistle toots]

It's not always easy

to work with others.

Especially if you

don't understand

what somebody else

is trying to do.

When a new crane called Carlycame to work at the docksCranky found it very hardto get used to her.But they soon figured outhow to work together, and made new friendsat the same time.Brenda found it hardto level the sitewith everyone movingback and forth across it.But Brenda didn't realizethat she was making it harderfor everyone else to completethe jobs they were doing.

Teamwork is all about

working together.

And one of the most important

parts of teamwork

is communicating with

the other members

- of your team.

- [whistle blows]

Come on, Thomas!

It's time to go.

See ya next time!
