SOFIA: I was a girl
in the village, doing all right

Then I became a princess overnight

Now I gotta figure out
how to do it right

So much to learn and see

Up in the castle with my new family

In a school that's just for royalty

A whole enchanted world
is waiting for me

I'm so excited to be

CHORUS: Sofia the First

SOFIA: I'm finding out
what being royal's all about

CHORUS: Sofia the First

SOFIA: Making my way
it's an adventure every day

CHORUS: Sofia
SOFIA: It's gonna be my time

CHORUS: Sofia

SOFIA: To show them all that I'm

ALL: Sofia the First

[SOFIA READING]

And Ruby takes the lead
down the final stretch.

No one has ever seen
feet pedal so fast!

Ruby leaves the other racers
in the dust

as her go-carriage zooms
across the finish line!

She wins the Dunwiddie
Pedal Power race!

And the crowd goes wild!

[IMITATES CHEERING]

-Ruby! Ruby!
-SOFIA: Ruby! Ruby! Ruby!

Oh, hi, guys.

Hey. We're on our way
to the go-carriage shop to get parts.

We thought we'd pick you up,
but it looks like you already have

-everything you need.
-Huh. Yeah.

I had to start early this year.

I came up with a whole new design
for my carriage,

and it's super complicated.

Wow. That does look complicated.

Yeah, I know.

But if I can just
make this look like that,

then I actually might win
the Pedal Power race this year.

And I really want to win.

You really wanted to win
last year, too.

Heh. And the year before.

But this time,
I'm gonna try harder than ever.

Well, we'd better get to the shop.

-Good luck.
-You, too.

And now for my new and improved
super-speedy wheels.

[STRAINING]

No!

No! My wheel! Stop!

Wait! Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no!

The river. Not the river!

Oh, stop rolling!

No, no, no, no, no!

No!

[PANTING]

[WOMAN SOBBING]

Huh?

-Hello?
-[GASPS]

Oh. Hello there.

Are you okay?

Oh, fine. Fine.

[BLOWS NOSE NOISILY]

Never been better.

[GASPS]

You can do magic?

Yes. I'm a fairy godmother. I'm Tizzy.

I'm Ruby.

But I thought fairy godmothers
had wings.

Technically, they do.

But we fairy godmothers
have to earn our wings,

and, well, I haven't earned mine yet.

Oh. How do you earn wings?

All I have to do is make
one person's dream come true.

But it's harder than it looks.

At least for me it is.

My last dreamer was a ballerina

Who hoped to be the best in her arena

I hovered near, picked out her clothes

But onstage she froze

Then she fell on her nose

Before that, I helped a downhill skier

I conjured up skis

And helped him steer

Did all that I could

But it wasn't enough

On the day of the race

He skied clear off a bluff

He's okay now. [LAUGHS]

But I still dream
of making dreams come true

For that's what real
fairy godmothers do

Then, oh, then, I'll earn my wings

And I'll fly

And on that day

My heart will soar

Sky high

Wait. Maybe you could help me
with my dream?

You have a dream?

-Uh-huh.
-Oh, joy!

I've got another chance!
What's your dream?

I want to win the Dunwiddie
Pedal Power race.

And win it you will!

Now, what can I do first?

Huh. I could definitely use some help
with putting my go-carriage together.

It's a pretty tricky design.

Well, help is on the way.

So now I dream of making
your dream come true

That's what a real
fairy godmother would do

Then, oh, then, I'll earn my wings

And I'll fly

And on that day

My heart will soar sky high

'Cause this time I know

That I will come through

And you and I

Will make our dream

Come true

Ooh

Ew.

[GASPS] It's perfect, Tizzy!

I can't wait to drive it.
I'm gonna start practicing right away.

Wait. We mustn't let anything happen
to my little dreamer.

Now, whenever you need me
for anything at all,

just call my name,
and I'll be there in a flash.

Here, let's practice.

-Tizzy. [GASPS]
-Boo!

Fairy godmother at your service.

See, it's just that easy.
Let's try it again.

-Tizzy. [GASPS]
-Boo!

-Tizzy.
-Boo!

-[GASPS]
-[LAUGHS]

-We're doin' great!
-I've got a fairy godmother!

Looks like everyone started
on their go-carriages before us.

Hey, guys.

We got the best go-carriage parts.

You did?

-PRINCE JAMES: Yup.
-Look!

Come on, Sofia.
We better get in there.

Sorry, ladies. I'm all cleaned out.

What are we going to do?

Don't worry, Jade.
We can still make go-carriages.

Out of what?

Well, I bet there are things
around my castle

we can use for parts.

Are you sure?

We'll just have to be creative.

Your fruit punch fountain, milady.

Oh, I love it. Thank you.

What's the fountain for, Amber?

My stretch go-carriage.

I'm making it extra long
and extra fancy.

Wow!

Yeah, it's all right.
But check out mine.

I'm putting a cannon on the back
that'll launch confetti

when I cross the finish line first.

[GASPS] Tell me you two are not using

that dirty old junk
for your go-carriages.

Well, we were planning to.

And it's not that old. Or dirty.

[BLOWS] Ugh. Sofia, that rubbish
will not look good.

[SCOFFS]

Amber has a point.

Maybe we could try to find parts
that look a little better?

I guess so.

Oh, I have the cutest pillows at home
that we can put on the seats.

-Come on!
-Okay.

[BELL RINGING]

-Hey, Ruby!
-Hey, Ruby!

Come back!

-Hi, guys.
-Your go-carriage looks amazing.

[GIGGLES] Thanks.

I can't believe
you finished it already.

Yeah. It was in, like,

How did you do that?

Heh. You know.
It all just came together.

Un-be-lievable!

[GIGGLES] Yeah.
Well, um, I better keep practicing.

-See you later.
-[BELL RINGS]

Tizzy?

-Poof!
-Oh!

Way to pedal, my little dreamer!

Thanks. Um, but...

What is it, dear?
I can take care of it. Just tell me.

Well, my friends said
my carriage looked great,

and... [SIGHS]

I didn't tell them
you helped me with it.

Oh, don't feel bad about that.

Are those friends of yours
doing everything all by themselves?

No. They're helping each other.

See? There's nothing wrong
with getting a little help.

That's what fairy godmothers
are for, after all.

[GASPS]

Whoa! Turn! Turn, turn, turn, turn!

I got it. There.

Ah. That was a close one.

You didn't need to do that.
I was gonna make the turn.

Better safe than sorry.

The last thing we want
is for you to get hurt

before the big race. Ooh!

Maybe we should take a little break.

-Poof!
-[GASPS]

But I wasn't done practicing.

Oh, you can practice more later.

Oh!

Comfy. Thank you.

Wow.

I guess a little break would be nice.

That's it. You just relax, re-hydrate,

and think happy racing thoughts.

Done!

Me, too.

[EXCLAIMS] I think these might be
the most beautiful go-carriages

I've ever seen.

Let's take them for a test drive.

Seat belts.

Helmets.

Three, two, one, pedal!

Whoo-hoo!

-[WHEELS RATTLE]
-Uh-oh. I think something's wrong

with my carriage.

[PANTING] Mine, too.

Whoa!

SOFIA: My umbrella!

No! It's falling apart!

Ah! I can't see anything.

JADE: Neither can I. We better stop.

-SOFIA: How? Where?
-[JADE SCREAMING]

[GRUNTS]

SOFIA: You okay, Jade?

I guess so. You?

Uh-huh. Those did not work very well.

Nope, but they sure looked great.

I mean, before they
completely fell apart.

So, how about we go back to the castle
and get our old parts?

But they're so ugly.

True, but it's our only choice,
and they might actually work.

I guess that is more important.

If we want to win the race.

Or at least finish it.

Ruby?

Where'd you get that chair?

Oh! Hi, guys.

I'm just... borrowing it.

Ready for a foot rub?

We have to keep those pedaling feet
nice and limber.

-Who are you?
-I'm Tizzy, Ruby's fairy godmother.

You have a fairy godmother?

Don't fairy godmothers have wings?

Easy! I'm workin' on it.

Wait a second.

Is that how you finished
making your go-carriage so fast?

Did she make it for you?

Not exactly. I mean, sort of.

Well... mostly. Yeah.

But that's not fair.

Sure it is.
You guys are helping each other.

And I bet Amber and James
are getting lots of help.

That is true.

I'm still going to be the one

pedaling in the race tomorrow,
just like you two.

But we're working hard
to get ready for the race,

not just lounging around.

Calm down, Jade.

I was just about to practice more.

See? She's just about to practice.

And we have to rebuild our karts.

So we should get going.
See you later, Ruby.

Hmm. I really should practice
on the course some more, Tizzy.

The race is tomorrow.

As you wish.

Poof! Okay, my little dreamer,
let's practice!

Poof!

Uh, you don't have to come with me.

Oh, it's my pleasure.

Poof! Let's hit the road.

That's just an expression.

Please don't hit it.
You might hurt yourself.

Ready, set, go!

Whoa! Aren't you going a little fast?
Slow down!

[SCREAMS] Watch out
for those haystacks.

Don't worry. I see 'em.
I can get around 'em.

Ooh. You're a wee bit close to the
curb there. Let Tizzy take the wheel.

There we go.

Thanks, but I can steer myself.

Oh, of course you can.

That's a sharp turn up there.

I can make it.

-Tizzy!
-Sorry. Sorry.

I'm not gonna do anything else,
I promise.

Uh-oh.

[WHEELS SCREECHING]

-RUBY: What are you doing?
-It's just too steep.

What if you crash?

Then you won't win the race,
and I won't get my wings.

I mean, practicing into the wee hours
of the night right before a race

is just not a good idea.

But it's not even dark yet.

Poof. Well, would you look at that?

-It's time for bed.
-What? Uh...

Poof.

Tizzy, I need to practice more
if I want to win.

You also need a good night's sleep.

[GASPS] Whoa!

But I really should pedal the course
one more time.

No, no, no, no, no.

What you should do is get cozy...

and I'll sing you
a nice soothing lullaby.

Don't you worry about a thing,
my little dreamer.

You have a fairy godmother
on your side.

[TIZZY HUMMING LULLABY]

[YAWNS] Okay, Tizzy.

[TIZZY CONTINUES HUMMING]

ANNOUNCER: Ladies and gentlemen,
royals and regulars,

welcome to the Dunwiddie
Pedal Power race.

[CROWD CHEERING]

Whoa. There's a lot
of racers this year.

Prepare to witness little feet of fury
pedaling their way to victory.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Pedal power only!

No magic brooms.

Well, look at this.

Identical carriages.

What are you talking about?

They're so different.
Mine's much faster.

No, mine is!

All right, good luck to both of you.

Hi, Ruby.
Are you excited for the race?

-Yeah, but I'm kinda nervous, too.
-[HORN HOOTING]

What happened
to your poor go-carriages?

They're supposed
to look like this, Amber.

And it doesn't matter
what they look like.

It just matters how well they work.

-And how fast you pedal.
-[BELL DINGING]

Right. How fast you pedal.

See you at the starting line.

Uh, Tizzy?

Poof! Oh. [CHUCKLES]

Ha! I'm right here.
Is everything all right?

Oh, not really.

What if I'm not the fastest pedaler?

Hmm. Then I'll just make sure you are.

-How?
-Let's see. Let me take a little look.

Swish! There ya go.

Once the race starts,
the pedals will spin on their own.

You'll go faster than everyone.

But we're supposed to pedal ourselves.

You want to win the race, don't you?

More than anything.

Well, this will make sure you do.

Okay. Thanks.

Oh, I'd better get
to the starting line.

Oh, I can't wait for you to win.

And then I'll get my wings.
ANNOUNCER: Young racers, it's time
to make pedal-pushing history.

On your mark, get set...

pedal!

[BELL RINGS]

[GASPS] Yes!

[BREATHING HEAVILY]

Cannon is so heavy.

BOTH: Hey!

JADE: We're still in one piece.

Yeah, we are.

[PRINCESS AMBER GRUNTING]

Your carriage sure looks great, Amber.

See ya!

What just happened?

Ooh... Made the turn!

-[HORN HOOTING]
-I can't stop.

-No, get away!
-[BELL DINGING]

Ugh! Amber!

Move your carriage!

Ugh! I can't! It's stuck!

[GASPS] It's just me and Sofia.

I can win this.

Hey, Ruby,
I can't believe it's just us.

Ruby, are your pedals
moving on their own?

No. I'm pedaling. See?

I can see you're letting
your fairy godmother pedal for you.

Sofia, that's what
fairy godmothers are for.

To help your dreams come true.

A turn! We have to slow down.

RUBY: I can't!

Ahhh!

[CRASH]

[COW MOOS ANGRILY]

Oh, no. Ruby!

Are you okay?

[BELL RINGS]

I think so.

Poof! Don't you worry.

Fairy godmommy is here.
[WHISPERS] I'll fix everything.

Ruby, you can't get
any more help from her.

-What?
-Why not?

She's the reason you crashed.

You couldn't control the go-carriage
with the pedals moving on their own.

Well, I can make you a go-carriage
that pedals and steers on its own.

Ooh! That sounds good.

But then you won't be driving at all.

And if you win
without doing anything yourself,

it's not really you winning the race,
it's Tizzy.

Oh.

Ruby, you have
to earn this... yourself.

[SIGHS] You're right, Sofia.

But there's no way
I could win on my own.

My go-carriage is wrecked.

So is everyone else's.

PRINCE JAMES: Oh, this isn't fair!

I want a do-over!

[GASPS] Maybe that's
what we should do.

Tizzy, if you really want
to help Ruby...

I do! I do!

Then can you use your magic

to start the whole race over
from the beginning?

-Like a do-over?
-Exactly.

I guess I could.

Well, if you do that,
Ruby will have another chance

to win the race, all on her own.

What? You mean... without me?

Yes. A little help is great, Tizzy,
but you can't do everything for her.

She has to make
her own dream come true.

But what if you don't win?

Then there's always next year.

If I win, I want it to be
because I'm the best.

Okay, then let's race, again.

[CROWD APPLAUDING]

Young racers, it's time
to make pedal-pushing history.

Hey, Amber, don't forget to slow down
before the turns.

Oh. Right. Thanks, Sofia.

On your mark...

[BREATHES DEEPLY]

...get set...

pedal!

Whew! This is hard work.

I don't do work. Why am I doing this?

We're still in one piece.

TIZZY: Go, Ruby! Go, Ruby!

Poof!

Go, Ruby! Go, Ruby!

[BELL RINGING]

Poof! Go, Ruby! Go, Ruby!

So heavy...

[BELL RINGS]

-Yes!
-[CROWD CHEERING]

Poof!

[GASPS] I have wings! I have wings!

Happy dance, happy dance

Oh, happy, happy, happy dance

Well done, young racer.

I think you broke
a foot-speed record back there.

Now, smile for the painters.

Ruby, congratulations. You did it.

And on my own!

-Fruit punch, anyone?
-Sure. Thanks.

Oh, Sofia, your go-carriage
may be ugly, but it is very fast.

Um, isn't that the whole point?

Maybe for you, but not for me.

I may have been last in speed,
but I was first in style.

[BELL RINGING]

Hey, everyone, check this out.

Boom goes the cannon.

And bam goes the howitzer!

You did it, my little dreamer.

[GASPS] Tizzy, you got your wings!

I know.

Both our dreams came true.
