[laughing]

what we got in the mail today.

-PIP: Tag, you're it.

-Hello, Otters.

Whatcha got there, Bear?

This is the mail.

PIP AND POP [exclaim]: The mail?

-That's the mail, Pop.
-Yep, that's the mail, Pip.

Any mail for us?

Oh! Well, let's see now.
We have... a postcard!

-Ooh a postcard!
-For Ojo.

And, we have, ooh, a package...

-A package!
-For Treelo.

And we have a letter...

-Letter?
-For Tutter.

[disappointed] Oh...

And... and what else Bear?

Mm?

Well, that it, nothing else.

No mail for us?

-No letters?
-No cards?

No packages for us?

-Woe is me...

BOTH: Woe is us!

[crying]

Now, wait a minute,
you two Otters.

Didn't you get mail yesterday?

-Yeah, a box of clams...
-Clams from cousin Otto...

-Love clams.
-But, Bear.

Yesterday was a long time ago!

[deep breath]

I think the Pip and Pop
are a little disappointed.

But I have an idea. Pip, Pop?

Yes, Bear?

How would you two like
to deliver the mail, today?

-Deliver the mail? Us?
-Deliver the mail?

-Yeah! Neither rain.
-Nor snow.

Nor dark of night...

Will stop us otters from
gettin' the mail there, right?

The letter for Tutter, remember?

Well, no matter,

I'll deliver this
to Tutter myself.

I can't wait to see
the look on his face.

If I'm not mistaken, this is
Tutter's first letter ever!

-Tutter!
-Hello, Bear. I'm over here!

-Oh!
-[laughs]

Um, I have something for you.

what is it? [giggles]

A letter.

A letter? Wow! For me? A letter!
I always wanted a letter, Bear.

My very first letter ever.

[laughs]

Um, what do I do with it, Bear?

Well, you open it, Tutter.

Yeah, of course. You gotta
open it, open it up, Bear.

Yeah a mouse knows that!

[paper scratching]

Wow! Look there it is, Bear!

That's my letter, Bear.
There it is. My letter.

[laughing]

-Bear?
-Tutter?

Um… Is there something else
I should do with it?

[whispers] You unfold it
and see what's inside.

Of course! I knew
there was something.

This is getting very exciting,
Bear, very exciting!

[laughs]

Oh! Look, Bear, words.

Oh! Would you read
the words to me, Bear please?

Why certainly, Tutter.
Let‘s see now.

It says "Dear Tutter,

Hope you're well. Love Grandma!

Aww, my Grandma!

You know, Bear, I'm gonna put
this letter in my scrapbook,

right now.

Wow, my first letter ever!

[laughs]

Oh!

And... cards. Lots of cards...

Birthday cards, holiday cards,

and even postcards from
friends in faraway places.

Places you might want
to visit someday...

Yeah, you never know what
you're going to get in the mail.

But you've gotten
a lot of really good things

in the mail, huh?

I got a birthday invitation
in the mail.

I got a letter addressed to me.

My Mom gets bills. My Dad
gets bills. I never get a bill.

The President gets
a whole bunch of mail.

I write a letter
to birthday people.

-Maggie, or dear Clare...
-Or dear John.

I always put my finger
in it and then I slide it across

and then it comes open
and if that doesn't work,

I, I do rip it.

If it's for my Mom and Dad,
I'll give it to them,

but if it's for me,
I'll just keep it.

Wow, you guys
have certainly gotten

some really exciting mail.

-Package for Mr. Treelo?
-Mail for Treelo the Lemur!

-Coming through.

-Pip, Pop! What's up?
-Nothin', Bear!! Just...

Delivering the mail!

Yeah, except,
we can't find Treelo!

And we've got some mail for him.

Oh, well maybe I can help
you with that.

[clearing throat]

Woah. That Bear can really yell.

Treelo! We've got
some mail for you!

Yeah, here it is.

[Treelo mumbles]

[everyone exclaims]

PIP AND POP:
Ooooooooh. I like it.

What is it?

Flamingo feather.
Treelo loves feathers.

Ooh. It's a flamingo feather!

Yeah. Treelo has lots and lots
of feathers in his collection.

-Really?
-Yeah!

Treelo has a feather collection.
I didn't know that.

Yeah, Treelo show Bear.
Pip and Pop feather collection!

Yeah, yeah.

Would you like to see
Treelo's feather collection?

[Treelo laughs]

Oh yeah!

-Ta-da!
-BEAR: Treelo!

-Hey...
-Neat-o...

Wow!

Treelo, where'd you get
all these feathers?

Treelo's friends send feathers!

Oh! Your friends
send you feathers!

But what do you do
with all of them?

Treelo likes
to look at feathers!

[Treelo gibberishly speaking]

You look at them. Sounds good.

Then, Treelo throws
them up in the air!

[exclaims excitedly]

Can we throw feathers, too?

Yeah! Feathers...

[cheering]

We love feathers.

-Um. Hello, Tutter!
-Hello, Bear.

-What are you doing?
-Well, I'm trying

to write a letter, Bear.

I'm trying to write a letter
to Grandma Flutter.

Oh! Isn't that nice
of you, Tutter?

Yeah, well, I got a pencil
and I got some paper here,

but the problem is, Bear,
the problem is,

I don't know how to write.

[disappointed] Mmm...

Could you help me, Bear?

Why certainly, Tutter.

Just because
you don't know how to write,

doesn't mean you can't write
a letter with a little help.

Now, Tutter, what do you want
to say to your Grandma Flutter?

I hardly know where to start,

and to scurry and crawl ♪

my way right through a wall ♪

to slam-dunk a basketball ♪

♪ I just hope I'm not leaving
anything out ♪

is an envelope and a stamp.

Sending someone a letter
in the mail is exciting.

Well let's see. What else
should we do now? Let's see.

why don't we look for Shadow?

Maybe she could tell us a story.

Now remember, look real hard
and sing together.

Hey, there, Big ol' Bear!

[laughs]

Hi, Shadow! How are you today?

Fine as fine can be, Bear.

Just having
my usual fun in the sun.

Ooh you sure know how
to enjoy yourself, Shadow.

So, I was wondering, do you
have time to tell us a story?

Why I always have time
to tell a story, Bear.

And I think you'll fancy the
one I'm thinking of right now.

a green and yellow basket ♪

♪ I wrote a letter to my love ♪

Dear Poindexter:

Had a lovely time at camp.

♪ And on the way I dropped it,
dropped it ♪

♪ A little puppy picked it up ♪

[Shadow humming]

Ooh! I sure hope
she doesn't bury it like a bone.

-Yep.

and it's really good...

-I dunno...

-Really nice.
-We might have to keep it.

[laughs]

But... but... Bear! Bear?

Pip and Pop. Who is
the postcard addressed to?

Um, well it's sort of kind of,
if you look at it...

-Who?
-Ojo.

So, who should get it?

Ojo!

Thanks, guys. You can look
at it, if you want.

Really? Thanks!

-You can look at it, too, Bear.
-Thanks.

Cool. Ooh look, looks warm,
doesn't it?

Hey but what does it say, Bear?

It says "Greetings from
Australia, love, Uncle Koala."

Look at the water.

Hey, and the palm trees.

-I'd like to go to a warm place.
-Like a vacation?

Yeah! Hey let's go on
pretend vacation!

What a great idea!

Hey! We'll go to Ojo island!

Where there's all the coconuts
and the bananas

and the mulberries...

-And Clams?
-Yeah!

And all the clams you can eat.

[laughing]

Yeah. Can't you just see now...
Ojo Island...

The sand, the sun, the surf...

Ooooooo... yeah.

And all food you want to eat.

Hey look, bananas
and coconuts...

And mulberries...

-And clams!
-We love Ojo Island!

[laughing]

With a postcard
and your imagination,

you can go to faraway places,
can't you?

Yeah!

Got any other mail
for me Pip, Pop?

Nah.

But, can we keep pretending
we're on Ojo Island?

Sure. Let's imagine
we're sailing around it.

-Can we swim along the side?
-Sure!

Yeah!

[laughing]

Well, I'll leave you
to your travels.

I have a date
in the kitchen. Bye.

[indistinct conversation]

Bear! Bear!

I've got the letter
in the envelope

but I can't find a stamp.

Where did that stamp go?
I checked my mouse hole...

Well maybe I can help
you find it.

I'm looking for the stamp,
Bear, the stamp,

but I just can't find it.

-Where is that stamp?
-Uh, Tutter?

Bear, I'm looking for the stamp.
Do you mind helping?

-Tutter?
-Bear, I'm looking, I'm looking!

-Tutter!
-Yes, Bear?

Turn around. Turn around!

Hold still. It's on your tail.

Oh!

[laughs]

There it is, Bear!
Here, let me lick it.

[slurp]

-Ok. It's all ready, Bear!
-Yes it is.

Now, I'm sending out
my first letter ever!

That's great, Tutter!
Let's take it to the mailbox.

Cool!

Getting mail is exciting, but
sending mail is exciting too!

[chuckles]

Here you go, Tutter.

Grandma Flutter will be
so happy when she gets it.

She certainly will, Tutter.

You know, I think we should tell
Luna all about our day.

Great, Bear.

I was just casting my glow
over this world I love so much.

How are things
in the Big Blue House?

We had all kinds of mail
come to the house today.

That must have caused
quite a stir?

You bet. The Otters
couldn't wait to deliver it

all over the house.

[laughing]

So, what came in the mail, Bear?

Well, Tutter got
his first letter ever-

it came from his Grandma.

Oh! Is there anything better
than a letter from Grandma?

Well, maybe getting
a feather in the mail.

Let me guess, for Treelo?

[laughing]

Or maybe Ojo getting a postcard
from her uncle in Australia.

And, Tutter sent a letter
back to his grandma.

Well, when you send
a letter back to someone

it makes them feel so good.

Hey, you're right, Luna.

What can I say, Bear,
I'm the moon.

[laughing]

Well, I'd love to stay
but the world needs my light.

Will you sing with me
before you go?

Nothing would be finer.
