A big giant present
from aunt nanner. Wow !

- I wonder what it is.
- Maybe she got us our
very own rocket ship.

- Or a race car.

Well, what are we
waiting for ?
Let's open it.

- Peanut ?
- Look, jelly.

There's something
written on the back.

[ Gasps, sighs ]

- What's wrong, peanut ?
- "Please do not open
until I get there.

Signed, aunt nanner."

Wait ? Oh, no.

Come on, guys.
Let's try to put
the paper back on.

Hey, pb&j.

Whatcha got there ?
That's what
we'd like to know.

Aunt nanner sent us
this present,

But we gotta wait
until she gets here
to open it.

You're not gonna wait,
are you ?

Oh, cheese and quackers.
There could be anything
in there.

Like a giant pie !

Or maybe there's wood
in there ! Mmm !

There has to be some way
to find out what's in there.

Without actually
opening it.

Well, when I get a package,
I always shake it a little.

You know,
just to get a clue.

Great idea, munchy !
Yeah !

[ Clanking ]
[ all ]

Didn't sound
like wood.

How about this ?

We'll all just concentrate
really, really hard,
like magicians do,

And then a picture
of whatever's in the box
will pop into our head.

[ All ]

- I got nothing.
- Me neither.
- Zip.

- My mind's a blank.
- [ All sigh ]

Well, either
that box is empty,

Or we're gonna
have to think
a whole lot harder.

Either I leave,
or I'm gonna have
to rip that present open !

What's it gonna be ?

Maybe we should figure out
a way to pass the time
until aunt nanner gets here.

- Sounds like we need
a noodle dance.

How about we take a clock

make time fly.

Except that'll only make
the clock fly, not the time.

Oh, yeah.
I knew that.

But that reminds me
of something
mom and dad always say.

- What's that ?
- Time flies when
you're having fun.

Hey, yeah.
Like when you're playing
a game or something.

Right. So, to make
the time pass more quickly,

We'll pretend that we're
playing a special game.

Welcome to the "let's do
something to pass the time...

Until aunt nanner
gets here" game.

I'm your host,
peanut otter.

And now let's meet
our players.

Player number one,
what's your name,
and where are you from ?

My name is jelly otter,
and I'm from lake hoohaw.

[ applause ]
terrific !

And, player number two,
how about you ?

[ Raspberry ]

[ applause ]
great. Okay, folks,
the game is simple:

If our two players
and your host
can wait patiently,

We get to open
this great big giant box.

Okay, players.
Let's begin.

[ Ticking ]

Oh ! I just gotta know
what's in there !

[ Yelling ]

Okay. Maybe we need
to try a different game.

Look at
all this stuff.

This should keep
our mind off something
I'm not thinking about.

Swing !
Yeah, we could play
on the swing.

- Or play ball.
- Or we could play
in the sandbox.

[ All screaming ]

I can't do it !
I can't not think
about the box !

We have to, jelly.
We have to do something
to keep our mind off it.

Maybe the other kids
can help. Let's go see.

[ All ]
huh ?

Oh, hi, pb&j.
How do you like
our new pirate ship ?

- Wanna play with us ?
- We made it out of a box.

[ All screaming ]

They could have
just said no.

Come on, aunt nanner.
Where are you ?

[ Sighs ]
if only we had
an x-ray machine.

Then we could see
right through the box
and find out what's inside.

Yeah, but we don't have
an x-ray machine, jelly.

No, we don't.

But look at the sun shining
through this leaf, peanut.

I bet we can
make one.
We can ?

Sure. All we need is a big rope
and a really bright light
and lots of people to help.

Come on !

Now, when we pull
on the rope,
the box will go up,

And then the sun
will shine directly on it,

And we'll be able
to see what's inside.

Okay, everybody, ready ?
[ All ]
ready !

- Pull !
- [ All grunting ]

It's working, everybody !

[ jelly ]
a little more.

[ Grunts ]

- [ All gasp ]
- sorry, sorry.

No, scootch.
It was my fault.

And I hope aunt nanner
isn't gonna be too upset.

What is this,
aunt nanner's junk ?

I don't think
this is just junk.

I wonder what these
are for ?

This is just great.

So we know what's in the box,
but now we have no clue
what it's for.

Hey, peanut.
Wanna play catch ?

I'm not sure
we should do this.
Maybe we should be patient.

Oh, come on, peanut.
You guys didn't
open the box.

It opened itself.

You got a point there,
flick.

[ peanut ]
uh-oh.

[ all yelling,
screaming ]

and waited for aunt nanner.

Now what are
we gonna do ? Huh ?

We tried to be patient,
aunt nanner. Really.

All we could think about
was the present.

Well, you really

[ Laughing ]
but I do understand.

Oh, when your mother and I
were little girls,

We had a hard time
waiting too.

- Really ?
- We sure did.

I remember one time
when your mother and I
were just your age.

It was the night
before my birthday.

i knew I was supposed
to wait, but I just
had to find out...

what my birthday present
was.

[ pb&j ]
yeah !

[ aunt nanner ]
so your mom and i
decided to sneak downstairs...

and just take a little peek
at the present.

[ pb&j ]
ooh !

[ aunt nanner ]
but it was very dark,
and we couldn't see too well.

[ peanut ]
what happened,
aunt nanner ?

well, we found
my present all right.
[ crunch ]

[ Both gasp ]

[ aunt nanner ]
it was the brand-new
toy trumpet I asked for.

Only now
it was broken.

[ Pb&j ]
oh, no !

That's just
what we said.

Well, our parents
had to send the trumpet
out to be fixed,

So we had to wait
a whole 'nother day before
we could play with it.

- A whole day ?
- That's right.

So we learned
that sometimes you
just have to be patient.

Well, thank goodness
we don't have to be
patient any longer.

Well, you three
are gonna have to wait
a little longer.

I've got to put
this thing together,
and it's gonna take a while.

Wait longer ?
'Fraid so.

[ clock ticking ]

Ta-da !
Okay, it's ready !

It's ready !
I can't believe it !

It's a musical
woopter-doo, all-in-one
band machine.

Well, look at that.

[ Pb&j ]
wow ! Cool !

Now start pedaling.
Wow !

- [ Clanging ]
- hmm. That's funny.

Sounds like
something's missing.

- ♪♪ [ Blat ]
- 'scuse me.

That's what was missing--
the tube horns.

[ All laughing ]

♪ Just a second
wait a minute ♪

- ♪ Let's just wait
and see ♪
- ♪ hold your horses ♪

- ♪ But of course ♪
- [ clanging ]

♪ It's so hard for me ♪

Me three.

♪ Just hang on
it won't be long ♪

♪ I see an elephant
high in a tree ♪

♪ looking around
what could it be ♪

♪ Maybe a goat on a boat
sippin' tea ♪

♪ Look at the clouds
what do you know ♪

♪ A giant on stilts
and a blue buffalo ♪

♪ Lookin' about
wow, what I see ♪

♪ So many wonders
it's hard to believe ♪

♪ If you open up
your eyes ♪

♪ Looking high
into the skies ♪

♪ wondrous things
imaginings ♪

♪ come soaring by and by ♪

♪ Turning around
look what I found ♪

♪ A moose and a goose
playin' cards with a clown ♪

♪ And over there
high in the air ♪

a flying baboon
no, a bear in a chair ♪

Now, according to
my precise calculations,

The fearless explorer,
meriweather von weasel,
is not only late,

I'm completely lost also.

[ Sighs ]

hmm. Oh, maybe
someone down there
can help me.

Whoa !

[ crash ]

Oh ! Now I'm late,
lost and stuck.

Oh, I must get out
of these trees soon,

Or I'll surely be late
for the hot-air balloon party.

Dangerous dragons
could be lurking anywhere,

But they don't scare me,
for I am the fearless
sir munchy of hoohaw !

A little more hot air
in the balloon
should do the trick.

Great hoohaw !
Was that a dragon ?

[ Gasps ]

[ Coughs, laughs ]

Oh, it is a dragon !
A fire-breathing dragon !

Is this where you saw
the dragon, munchy ?

Oh, it was way out there,
up in the trees !

Oh, yeah, munchy.
I see what you mean.

This place is crawlin'
with dragons. Ha !

I'm telling you guys,
I saw it !

Take it easy, munchy.
Dragons are just
a make-believe thing.

Well, then make me believe
I didn't see one.

Maybe it was just a cloud
that looked like a dragon,
munchy.

Okay, okay.
Good explanation.

A cloud. Uh-huh.
A roaring,
fire-breathing cloud.

So just to be
on the safe side,

I'm going inside
where it's safe,
forever. See ya !

Oh, just
a few more tugs,

And I'm sure
I'll be on my way.

Now, ladies,

Notice how much nicer
miss cuddle's face looks...

With a little
babbleberry face powder.

Without it, her complexion
would be as gray as--
[ gasps ]

[ pinch ]
a giant flying elephant !
[ screams ]

[ Chattering,
yelling ]

Run, everybody !
Run !

What is it, pinch ?

- Did you see the dragon ?
- A dragon ?
Of course not, silly.

There aren't any dragons
on lake hoohaw.

Whew !
That's a relief.

I saw a giant
flying elephant !

It looked right at me !

Don't you believe me ?

Sure, pinch.
We believe you.

It was so scary.

Don't worry, pinch.
We won't let the elephant
get you.

[ flick laughs ] yeah.
that's 'cause munchy's dragon
is gonna get you first.

Have you guys
lost your minds ?

A dragon ?
A flying elephant ?

♪♪ [ Whistling ]

You gotta admit, flick,

This is the second
really weird thing
in one day.

Maybe there is
something out there.

Well, you guys can go
and hide under your beds
if you want.

I'll take my chances
with the scary monster.

i'm really stuck.
i'm not kind of stuck,
i am really stuck.

And I can't get "unlost"
and "unlate"...

Till I'm unstuck.

Hmm. Maybe if
I pump more hot air
into the balloon...

And tug at the ropes
at the same time,

I'll finally get out
of this mess.

Who am I talking to ?

Boy, gotta hand it
to those guys,

They have
some wild imaginations.
[ Chuckles ]

Cool clouds.
One fluffy white cloud.

Two fluffy white clouds.

- Here goes !
- one giant fire-breathing
dragon-elephant.

[ Screaming ]

- Save me !
- Flick, what happened ?

A giant fire-breathing,
flying dragon-elephant !

Am I not getting through ?

I'm sorry I didn't
believe you guys.

I'm sorry I laughed at ya.

Whatever "it" is.

Come on, guys.
We gotta do something.

Okay. We have to try
and figure out what
this creature really is.

But we know what it is,
peanut. It's a giant
flying elephant.

It's a fire-breathing
dragon !

It's both !

Well, I believe you guys
all saw something,

But I still don't think
there's such a thing
as fire-breathing dragons...

Or flying elephants
or both.

But there's gotta be
a reason that makes sense.

And the reason
that makes sense is--

there's a giant
fire-breathing, flying
dragon-elephant right there !

[ All screaming ]

Now what are we
going to do ?

[ meriweather ]
pardon me, but is
anybody out there ?

i'm a bit, uh, stuck.

Well, whatever
this creature is,
at least he's polite.

Yeah, and he sounds
like he needs help.

breathes fire.

down there, kids.

Allow me
to introduce myself.

My name is
meriweather von weasel.

Hi, mr. Weasel.
It's me, peanut otter.

I met you last year
when you got lost...

On your way
to the lake doohickie
hot-air balloon party.

Well, hello, peanut.

Did I get lost
at lake hoohaw again ?

Yes, sir.
You sure did.

What are you doing
up there in the trees,
mr. Weasel ?

Oh, I'm just
hanging around.
[ Laughs ]

Actually, I'm stuck,
and I can't get down.

I tried pulling
on these ropes, you see.

Hey, that's the elephant
I saw !
Yeah !

Then I tried pumping
some more hot air
into the balloon.

That's why I thought
you were a dragon.

Then I tried
doing both.

Both ! You see ?
I saw both !

That almost did the trick,
but not quite.

[ Sighs ]
I'm about ready
to give up.

Don't give up yet.
At least not until
we do a noodle dance.

A noodle dance ?
I love to dance.

I don't, but I love
to use my noodle.

[ jelly ]
we can climb the tree
and jiggle the basket free.

He's too high up
for us to get him.

a giant jiggling device
and shake the tree...

And the balloon
will come loose--

- [ branches cracking ]
- ♪ ya da da da dee ♪♪

Oh, my goodness.
This is fun.

Look ! We've got
a jiggling device.
It's meriweather !

His dancing is jiggling
the balloon loose.

Well, I'll be.
It is coming loose !

mr. Weasel.

[ Kids ]

[ Laughing ]
