packages in the mail!

Well, let's take this
into the kitchen

and open it. Come on.

[sniffing] Wait a second!

What's that smell?

It smells like... [sniffing]

soap!

[sniffing]

Hmm...

[sniffing] [gasps] It's you!

Ooo. Tell me,
did you just wash your hands?

Because you smell all fresh
and soapy...

[sniffing] Aaah!

Or maybe you smell this good all
the time? [chuckles]

Well let's take this
into the kitchen and open it.

Come on!

Let's see... It says it's from?
"L.L. Bear Catalog!".

Oh, this is great! This must
be the bear clock I ordered.

Yeah. I ordered a clock
in the shape of a bear!

This is going to be so neat.

Wait till you see this!

This is a clock
shaped just like a-

...skunk?

It's a... It's a skunk clock.

Wait a minute. This isn't right.

What does this say here? Um...

Uh, "Congratulations

on receiving
your 'The Skunk Clock.'

It is sure to add
skunky charm to your home."

They made a mistake.
They sent me the wrong clock.

Um... well, I mean...

that's okay... maybe,
maybe this'll work out.

I mean,
skunks are good too, right?

Let's see.
Where should we hang this?

Hey! How about up here?

Yeah. That's a good spot.

Okay.

So we'll just put this down

and take down the apple clock.

-Weee!
-Huh?

Hey. That's Ojo and Treelo

and it sounds like they're
playing outside.

Do you want to go see what
they're doing? Come on.

We'll have fun hanging the...
skunk later.

Wow!

-Hey, Ojo!
-Oh. Hi, Bear!

Waa... Waa-haa!

-Great swinging, Treelo.
-Thank you.

[chuckles]

Now Treelo want Ojo to have fun!
Come on, you swing!

-No, no, no! I don't want to.

Ojo afraid?

Uh... uh... no!

I'm not afraid!

-l'm... I'm not!

You don't have to swing
if you don't want to.

-Yeah!...

Well, um...

I guess I-, I guess I am

a little afraid
to swing so much!

Afraid to swing?

Come on, Treelo no afraid.

Um, Ojo, maybe you'll
feel like it later.

[sighs] Oh gee...
I wish I wasn't so scared.

I mean, it looks like
so much fun and all.

But I guess I'll never know.

-[gasp]
-[sigh]

Well, Ojo, just because you're
afraid of something now

doesn't
mean you'll always be afraid.

Oh. Oh. It doesn't?

Like... Oh!

Remember that time you were
both afraid of the storm?

And we talked about what
thunder was...

Yeah. A-And-and then
I wasn't afraid anymore.

Now storms don't
bother me at all!

Well... very much.

-[chuckles] Me too!
-Exactly.

So, what's so scary
about this swing?

-Yeah?
-Oh... well,

it's-it's just that...
well, you know, Bear...

it's just that the swing...
it goes so high.

Hmm.

Well, um..

Hey!

Maybe you don't
have to go so high.

[gasp] Oh!

You mean that I could swing,
um, just a little?

-[chuckles]
-That's a great idea, Ojo.

Yeah! Ojo just do little swing.

[whistling] Little swing.

-[chuckles]
-Oh. Okay.

Well, um... uh, I'll try.

-I'll try.
-Ah right!

-Yay!
-Come on over, Ojo.

-Okay.

Here you go now... Upsy daisy...

-Easy... Easy...
-[nervous] Okay.

-Oh. Ooo.
-Hang on. I got you.

-It's okay.
-[treelo laughs]

-Ready?
-Yeah.

-And...
-Whoa... Hey!

I'm swinging!

[laughs] Yay! Ojo swinging!

-[laughter]
-You're doing it, Ojo!

Yeah!...
-Hey, Ojo?

-Ha?
-Treelo push, now?

Ooo. Well... okay,
Treelo, but don't push too high.

I don't want to go
too high at all.

Weee!

Oh! This is fun!

[laughter]

two to your swinging.

-Oh, hey, Treelo.
-Ha?

Just push me a little harder.

Wow,

I'm glad Ojo's not
afraid of swinging anymore.

Hey.

Afraid.

Afraid.

It's a funny word that
starts with-

Do you know what letter that is?

"A." That's right.

Afraid.

You know,
it's okay to be afraid.

Hey, it happens to everyone.

The thing to remember is
you shouldn't be afraid

to talk about what
you're afraid of!

Just ask a grown up about
the stuff you're afraid of.

like...
ask them about that sound

you hear outside your window...

[wind blowing]

And a grown-up will tell
you it's just the wind.

Or sometimes you might
dream about monsters

after you close your eyes...

[groaning]

Just tell a grown-up about it

and they'll tell you

there are no such things
as monsters!

And it's true!

So there's nothing
to be afraid of!

The thing is if you talk about
what it is you're afraid of,

chances are, you won't
be afraid of it anymore!

of the big old dog ♪

♪ And everyone's
scared of bats ♪

And that's the truth.

See. Everybody's afraid
of something sometimes.

So what do you think?

What do you do
when you're afraid?

And who do you talk to about it?

Hmm?

What do you think?

When I was a little girl,
I was afraid of the dark.

I was afraid of m-my
own imaginations.

Tigers, cheetahs,
things that run fast...

I was afraid of heights.

I usually tell my mom or dad or
somebody else when I'm afraid.

I would talk to my mom and dad.

Or,
uh, one of my aunts or uncles.

I always give my dog a kiss.

Boy, it sure helps to talk
to people when you're afraid!

Hey! Let's go downstairs
and hang up my clock.

Come on!

There.

It looks pretty good, huh?
...for a skunk.

[sniffing]

And for a skunk clock,
it smells pretty good too.

[chuckles]

[yawning]

Suddenly, I'm a little sleepy.

Um, I think I'll go take
a nap for a few minutes.

I'll be back.

[ticking clock]

TUTTER: Oh hickory dickory!

What is making that noise.
It's... [gasps]

Gee whiz...

How can a mouse take
a nap around here

with all this ticking
and tocking!

Bear!

Who is making all that noise?

Bear?

[ticking clock]

Aha!

Look at that! Will you? Hmm!

Hmph... now let me see...
go up the stairs here...

up the left... up the right...

[panting] Boy, lot more stairs

than I remember
from last time...

Oh. Trying to take a look...
Now, where is that...

where could... oh yeah!

Ahem.
Um, Excuse me, Mr., um, Skunk.

Um, I know you must be
a guest of Bear's and I-

I hate to be rude... but
would you mind terribly,

I mean, would you terribly mind
wou---would you ju--...

[shouting] Oh,
would you just be quiet!

[ticking clock]

Ah-ha.

Well, um... You see, this mouse
is trying to take a nap and-

and with all that tick,
tock, tick tocking...

Well, heh, it is pretty noisy.

[laughter]

Excuse me, um, M-M-Mr. Skunk?

H-Hello?

W-w-well, a-at least you could
answer me! Would you--

Hey! Hey wha-!

Quit looking at me like
that! W-Would...

And quit wagging your tail!
W-Would... I mean it now!

-Stop it, please!
-Tutter?

-Tutter? Tutter!
-Just stop it! Stop it!

-[gasps]
-Tutter!

Take it easy. Now, breathe in...

[deep breathing]

-Breathe out.
-[exhaling] Aaaah!

Now Tutter,
tell me what happened?

[mumbling] Well th-this
skunk-this skunk, Bear,

i-i-is scaring me!
He's scaring me!

Skunk? Wh-?

[gasps]

Oh, you mean my new skunk clock?

Clock? I don't know
anything about a clock.

All I know is that skunk
won't even answer me, Bear.

And those eyes...
those eyes... Urlrlrl.

No. No. Tutter!
Tutter, take it easy.

See, it's not a real skunk,
it's a clock -

-in the shape of a skunk.
-Huh?

Yes.
It's a clock. See the numbers?

I-I guess I do see the numbers,
Bear.

But that's a strange skunk.

Tell you what, Tutter.

Why don't you come on down
and I'll show you something.

-Okay?
-Oh. Okay, Bear,

but I don't know what
there is to see...

[grumbling]

See Tutter.
See the gears and stuff?

-It's just a clock.
-Huh?

Well, Bear, I don't care
if it's a clock skunk

or a skunk clock or whatever!

I-It's noisy and it scares me!

Well, okay Tutter.
Tell you what.

I will not put it back up
on the wall

until you've had a chance
to get used to it. Okay?

♪ Tut tut tut-tut-tut ♪

Hi, Bear! Hi, Tutter!

-Hi, guys!
-Oh. Hi Ojo. Hi Treelo.

How's the swinging?

Oh. It's going
really good, Bear.

But we decided to stop
for the day

because we didn't
want to swing too much at once.

Yeah. Ojo... [whistling]...

little at a time.
Little at a time, Bear.

Yeah. Little at a time.

Oh! A little at a time!

-Yeah. What a great idea!
-[giggles]

Well, we're going to go
play in the living room now.

-Yeah.
-Come on, Treelo.

Okay.

[gasp] Cool skunk clock!

-Whoa.
-Thank you.

Yeah! Well, see you Bear!

-See you later.
-TREELO: Bye.

Have fun.

-PIP: [laughing] Good one, Pop!
-POP: Why, thank you, Pip!

-POP: Your turn!
-Hey,

that sounds like Pip
and Pop down at the pond.

Hey, Tutter, do you want
to see what they're doing?...

Tutter?

Oh hello. I'm fine. How are you?

Oh... um. Y-You go ahead, Bear.

I'm just going to take a closer
look at this "clock!"

Oh. well, um... Okay.

Come on.

Okay, Pop.

Okay, Pop.

Now, balance a ball on your head

and croak like a frog!

[giggles] No problemo!

Yeah.

Wow.
Excellente, Pop! Excellente!

[giggles] Thank you.

-Okay, now it's my turn!
-Hmm?

-Pip...
-Yes?

Go, uh,
into the pond and blow bubbles

[inhalation]

[humming]

[inhalation] [chuckles]

What do
you think Pip and Pop are doing?

-Well done, Pip.
-Thank you.

Thank you very much! Thank you.

Um, excuse me... uh, guys?

Um, what are you doing?

Oh. We're playing
dare-d-double-da re!

-Dare-d-double-dare?
-Mm-hmm.

-What's that?
-It's a game, Bear.

You dare somebody to do
something silly and then,

they dare you to do
something silly back.

That's why it's called
Dare-d-double-dare!

That's where the "d" comes from.

-That's right.
-Oh, I see.

Okay! Pop I dare you to... uh,

-climb that tree...
-Er... uh... oh!

hang off that branch there...

-Uh huh...
-And... and, uh,

jump into the Pond, um,

doing a triple twisty
turn somersault!

[giggles]

-[laughter]
-Yeah.

That's a pretty high branch.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I double-d-dare you!

Come on, Pop! [giggles]

Well... you see, uh,
the thing is... heh...

I'm a little...

-uh...
-Yeah.

ah, scared. You see
that's-that's kind of, uh

[laughing nervously] high.

Scared? P-Pop?!

Uh, well... I-I didn't mean
that I was scared!

I'm just kind of, you know...

Hold on. Guys, guys, guys!

Wait a minute. I mean,

if you feel like you
shouldn't do something, well,

there might be a reason
why you shouldn't do it.

-Really?
-Yeah!

The reason is that
branch is really high!

-Hmm.
-Yeah,

that branch is really high...

-Yeah...
-Um, I know.

Why don't you think of something
silly to do

that isn't dangerous.

Yeah.

-[chuckles]

-Yeah.
-My skunk clock!

And I am happy to report, Bear,

that you were right!
It is a clock!

In fact, Bear, it is a clock
in the shape of a skunk!

How 'bout that? [chuckles]

Well, that's great news, Tutter.

Yeah.

Now I see how silly it
was to be afraid of it!

[laughter] I laugh!

I laugh at this clock
that looks like a skunk.

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

[chuckles]

Well...
that's-that's great, Tutter.

Yeah. So-so go ahead, Bear.

Just hang it up
on the wall there!

It makes a wonderful
addition to your kitchen!

[chuckles] As for me -

[yawning]

I'm going to finish my nap now.

But I just want you to know that
I feel much better now, Bear.

Much better! [chuckles]

that Tutter feels better.

all back together again.

I wonder where this piece goes?

Isn't it great?

Sometimes I like to come up here

and just look out at the stars.

It's also where I talk
to a special friend.

Let's see if we could find her.

Ah. There she is.

Hello, Bear!

How was your day
in the Big Blue House?

It was great, Luna.

Ojo and Treelo had
fun swinging on a vine.

[chuckling] Oh, my.
Doesn't that sound wonderful.

Yeah.

Ojo started with little swings.

And she really enjoyed herself!

Hmm. And what about Pip and Pop?

Well, Pip and Pop found out that

when you feel afraid
to do something,

it might just mean
you shouldn't do it.

Mmm. And Tutter?

[chuckles] Well,

Tutter's been busy taking
apart my skunk clock.

-Your skunk clock?
-Mm-hmm.

Oh, it's ok.

He just needed to get
to know it better.

-He was afraid of it at first.
-Mmm.

You know, Bear,

once you know more about
something you're afraid of­

Mm-hmm.

...you often find out

there was nothing to be
afraid of at all!

Wow. That's true, Luna.

Hey, Luna?
