I showed up
late in the journey,

but after talking with Katie,

I was super excited

I do value

I felt I've been,

It's probably a story

So ten years ago...

I was...

at a New Year's Eve party,
and I had been drinking.

And someone
who I considered a friend

didn't receive consent from me,

and...

You can assume the rest
from that.

And there was a lot of...

guilt on my part with that,

feeling it was like my fault.

I was in denial
about what happened,

and so much so

that I pursued him aggressively

to try and make it so that we
were in a relationship

so that it wasn't
what it really was, you know?

And that affected me
for a very long time

in terms of
an unhealthy relationship

with sex, in terms
of not wanting to have sex.

But then also,
when I was in a relationship,

feeling like I should have sex

as much as he wants to have sex.

It was just
this unhealthy cycle.

You know, eventually
the Me Too movement happened,

and it started to kind of
give me some power back

in that situation
in terms of taking away

the blame I put on myself
for what happened.

And slowly I started
to become more comfortable

talking about sex
and what healthy sex means,

and, I mean, even as recently
as this past year,

just really owned who I was
and wanted to start

to be comfortable talking
about sex again, you know?

In a healthy way.

So that's kind of
the deep version

of what a lot of people
don't know.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

No one deserves
to go through that,

and I have
a new just appreciation

for you and who you are,

and I...

I know how hard it is
to talk about,

and... I hope you know

that regardless of what
you've kind of been through...

I'll always be
very, very mindful of...
