01x03 - The Wildcard Round

Post by bunniefuu »

- Power, humility,

courage, sacrifice...

and redemption.

You've come to the right place.

Two houses,

but only one can take a place in the Grand Final.

And if that's not enough drama for you,

it's Gryffindor versus Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

This is "Harry Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Good evening. I'm Helen Mirren.

And under their watchful eyes,

I'm here to host another celebrated night

in "Harry Potter" history.

Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw

have both secured spots in the Grand Final,

but there's still one open spot remaining.

And this evening,

the two teams who narrowly lost those earlier contests

have one last sh*t at survival

in this, our last do-or-die wild card game.

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

So let's get straight to it and welcome our teams.

[cheers and applause]

Gryffindor.

[cheers and applause]

all: Go, go, Gryffindor! Go, go, Gryffindor!

Go, go, Gryffindor!

- Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

all: Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

- Welcome, everyone. It's great to see you again.

Seems like a long time ago. How are you all feeling?

- Great. - Good. Great.

We're ready.

- As most Gryffindors know,

phoenixes are reborn from the ashes,

so this is our rebirth today.

[cheers and applause]

- So, Trey, we can tell you are a huge fan.

Are you really obsessed?

- It's probably an unhealthy obsession.

[laughter]

It consumes most of my life.

Like, I wake up, I'll watch a movie before work.

Me and the wife go on "Harry Potter" dates.

all: Aww.

- The kids, they're born, and then they get sorted, so.

[laughter]

- And which houses are they in?

- Both my children are in Gryffindor.

- Of course they are.

[cheers and applause]

Fantastic.

Now, how about you, Slytherin?

You walked out with great confidence.

[laughter] You guys marched out there.

- Very committed today.

- That's what Slytherin's about.

[cheers and applause]

- Ryan. - Dame Helen.

- Yes, how are ya? - I'm good.

- Which character do you connect with?

- My favorite character is Professor Dolores Umbridge.

- Oh. [audience groaning]

- Yes. She's a powerful woman...

- Yes. - Who gets what she wants.

- A classic Slytherin move, if I may say.

[laughter]

Well, listen, this is your last chance to get to the final,

so the best of luck, Slytherin, and best of luck, Gryffindor.

Okay, teams,

as usual, everybody out there in your houses

are going to be playing along too,

hopefully adding points to your score throughout every round.

And whoever gets to that final

is still in with a chance of lifting that trophy.

[cheers and applause]

You can't win that unless you win this game.

So let's get things started with round one.

Take a look over there at our portrait wall,

because tonight, the story of one team's redemption

begins with...

The World of Harry Potter.

In this first round, we're going to show each house

a scene from one of the eight "Harry Potter" films.

Players, you'll work together to answer questions

about that film.

Team Gryffindor, you're up first.

[cheers and applause]

Your scene is from "The Deathly Part ."

As you know, the first question will be about something

you're going to see in the scene.

Here we go.

- I've had all the essentials packed for days

just in case.

- By the way, these jeans, not my favorite.

[ethereal dissonant hissing]

- Down!

[screaming]

Stupefy!

[music playing on headphones]

- Expulso!

[glass clinking]

- Petrificus Totalus! - [groans]

Go. Leave.

[cheers and applause]

- You know, that sort of thing happens all the time

in late-night cafés in London, I'm telling you.

[laughter]

All right, Team Gryffindor.

Of all the spells the combatants fired at each other

during that fight, how many were fired by Ron?

- I don't know why. In my head, I'm thinking one.

- I'm thinking one. - I'm gonna say one.

- Okay. I agree with you.

- Okay. - One.

- Well, let's see if you're right.

[suspenseful music]

- Correct. Ten points for Gryffindor.

Well done, guys.

Really blink and you would've missed that.

I can see you are so determined, Brittany.

How much do you want to win this competition?

- Very much so.

I would say / , but we're like .

[laughter] - Yeah, yeah.

- We're like a thousand. [cheers and applause]

I've always been very competitive.

I was a track and field athlete, Olympic hopeful.

I've always been the captain of my teams...

- Oh. - I was a beauty pageant girl.

So my whole life, I've been competing.

- Seriously? So you bring it every time.

- Yeah.

- All right, are you ready for question number two?

- Yes, ma'am.

A, wanted posters, B, a quidditch team,

C, Knockturn Alley, or D, his dreams?

- Okay, so Antonin Dolohov. - That's Antonin Dolohov.

- Which is a known Death Eater. - Correct.

- I don't see the Death Eaters playing quidditch. Well, yeah.

- I don't think he prayed quidditch.

- And Ron would have to know Dolohov in his dreams

from something else, so that can be eliminated.

- And we don't see Ron spending a great amount

of time in Knockturn Alley, which leads us--

- Good point. - Just narrows it down to--

- By elimination to A, wanted posters.

- Let's see if you're right.

[suspenseful music]

You are correct.

[cheers and applause] points. Well done!

Team Gryffindor, you can relax for a bit now,

because we are going to pose this question

to your entire house.

This last question is worth points.

If the majority answer is the right one,

those points will go to your team score.

So here's the question.

A, Oxford Street, B, Shaftesbury Avenue,

C, Regent Street, or D, Savile Row?

And lock in your answers.

The votes are in, and the top answer

is B, Shaftesbury Avenue.

You're correct. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

points to your team. Well done, Gryffindor.

- Yes!

- And next, it's Slytherin's turn to rack up some points.

The magic has only just started.

Do not move.

We'll be right back after this.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- This is the World of Harry Potter round.

Gryffindor scored points.

And now, Slytherin, it's your turn to play.

[cheers and applause]

All right, then.

Your scene will be from "The Half-Blood Prince."

Watch carefully.

[cheers and applause]

- Muggles who own this place are in the Canary Islands.

- I think we should put it back in order for them, don't you?

- Yes. - Mind?

[wand whooshes softly]

[clinking and clattering]

[wondrous music]

[random piano notes]

[squeaking]

[frame creaks]

That was fun.

[cheers and applause]

- If only it was that easy to clean up our houses.

[laughter]

I'd love to have that wand.

Okay.

Slytherin, amidst all the cleanup,

which type of musical instrument

did we see get put back together again?

- It was very noticeable,

because it's a very big instrument.

- Mm-hmm. - You can't miss it.

I think we can all agree it's definitely a piano.

- Okay, let's see if you're right.

[random piano notes]

[cheers and applause] - Yes, yes!

Ten points for Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

Michelle. - Hi.

- What brought you to the world of "Harry Potter"?

- I grew up in Hawaii.

And there, you know, all the cool kids go to the beach

and have parties and surf,

and I really didn't do any of that growing up.

- Yes.

- I pretty much read part of a "Harry Potter" book

every single day from the time I was able to read them

until I started college

and had to actually put some work into school.

- I think you're gonna do great tonight.

- Thank you. - So really good luck.

And now, here's question number two for points.

Earlier in the film, Harry looked out of the window

of a café in the London underground

and saw Dumbledore in front of an ad for a perfume.

Was it A, Dark Magic,

B, Divine Magic,

C, Black Magic,

or D, Eternal Magic?

- Dark Magic and Black Magic

doesn't seem to fit Dumbledore scenes.

I feel like that's setting a weird tone.

- And what kind of perfume lasts forever?

- Do we feel pretty good about B?

- I think so. - Let's see if you're right.

You are correct. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

And now, this third question

is going to all of your housemates out there.

So here's the question.

Later in "The Half-Blood Prince,"

Ron tried out for the Gryffindor quidditch team.

A, four, B, five,

C, six, or D, seven?

[suspenseful music]

Lock in your answers.

The votes are in, and their top answer was B.

And that is incorrect, house. [audience groaning]

The answer is C, six.

So where do our houses stand in this wild card round?

Luke Youngblood.

[cheers and applause]

- We have Slytherin on points

and Gryffindor on !

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you, Luke. Now, it's time for round two.

We all know this round as the Dueling Club.

[cheers and applause]

So the questions are now worth ten, , and points.

And, teams, you're going to take turns aiming each question

at a single player on the opposing team.

The -point question is of course the toughest,

so you'll want to be strategic

about who you send that one over to.

Your houses will be playing along with each question

so they can potentially add points to your score.

Slytherin, the first question about Gryffindor

is worth ten points.

Who do you want to fire it at and why?

- So I feel like Trey really marinates in the information,

and that feels dangerous to me. [laughter]

- He could be the real thr*at on that team.

- Trey,

the Slytherins clearly think that you're a major thr*at.

Are they right? - Oh, yes, ma'am.

[audience oohs]

- Question is this.

While seated with his fellow Gryffindors

in "The Chamber of Secrets" film,

Ron received a Howler from his mother.

A, "How dare you steal that car!"

[laughter]

B, "I'm absolutely disgusted!"

[laughter]

C, "What were you thinking?"

Or D, "We'll bring you straight home!"

[cheers and applause]

Lock in your answers. Okay.

Trey, what did you say?

- "What were you thinking"

sounds like something my mom would say.

[laughter]

So I'm confidently gonna go with

C, "What were you thinking?"

- Trey, you just won ten points for your house.

Well done. [cheers and applause]

Let's see how your housemates did.

And they were also correct with C,

so another ten points for Gryffindor.

Now, control swings back to you, Gryffindor.

This question about Slytherin is worth ten points.

Who do you want to answer your question and why?

- Well, Ms. Michelle said

that she's very fond of reading all the books.

So I think that she has a plethora of knowledge.

- And to me, she seems quite smart,

so it seems like she'll retain knowledge.

- Gryffindor are starting off with you.

Why do you think that is?

- You know, all the things they said I agree with.

[laughter]

- Okay, Michelle, for ten points...

A, it spoke in a quiet whisper,

B, it was on Draco's head backwards,

C, it fell off,

or D,

it made its decision before touching Draco's head.

Lock in your answers.

Well, now, Michelle, what did you think?

- So I can see this moment playing in my head.

Draco comes swaggering up to the stool

dripping in Slytherin energy.

[laughter]

There's absolutely no way the Sorting Hat

would speak in a quiet whisper,

because it knows exactly where Draco's supposed to go.

In fact, it knew exactly where it was supposed to go

before even touching Draco's head...

- Ah. - So I'm gonna go with D.

- And in a very confident manner

and beautifully acted out, I might say,

the Slytherin swagger.

I love the idea. [laughter]

I'm gonna--I'm gonna do the Slytherin swagger now.

[cheers and applause]

Slytherin swagger. [laughter]

So Michelle, let's see if you are right or wrong.

And you are correct.

Well done, Michelle, for ten points.

[cheers and applause]

So let's see if your house was correct as well.

Yes, they were. [cheers and applause]

Congratulations.

Now, this question about Gryffindor house

is worth points.

So Slytherin, who do you want to answer it?

- Brittany I think is very competitive.

So do we agree that Brittany might be the -point question?

- I agree.

- Brittany, for points, here is your question.

As Dumbledore announced in "The Prisoner of Azkaban,"

former Gryffindor Hagrid...

[laughter]

A, Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank,

B, Silvanus Kettleburn,

C, Herbert Beery,

or, D, Aurora Sinistra?

Lock in your answers.

Okay, Brittany, what is your answer?

- Okay, so this is actually really funny

because "Prisoner of Azkaban" is my favorite movie.

I'm gonna go with Herbert Beery, C.

- And I'm afraid you're incorrect there.

It was Silvanus Kettleburn. [audience groaning]

Let's see how your house did.

Your house got it right.

[cheers and applause] - Thank you, guys. Thank you.

All right, back once more to you, Gryffindor.

This question about Slytherin is worth points.

Who do you want to answer it?

- If you ask me, I mean, he's an Umbridge fan.

- I'm just gonna have to select him

because of the Umbridge-ness.

- Yeah. [laughter]

- [imitating Umbridge] Ahem. [laughter]

- Okay, Ryan, for points.

As seen on his tomb in "The Goblet of Fire" film...

A, , B, ,

C, ,

or D, ?

[audience groaning]

- That is evil. That is evil. [laughter]

- House, lock in your answers.

No pressure, Ryan, but if you get this right,

then you'll bring yourselves equal with Team Gryffindor.

- I was afraid of a moment like this.

[laughter]

I'm gonna go with what I know about production of the movie,

and they love odd numbers.

Seven Horcruxes, three Hallows. - Mm, interesting.

- So I'm going towards B,

and I'm just-- I'm gonna go with that.

- Go with your gut.

Oh!

- The correct answer is D, Ryan.

But you are very right about the odd numbers.

But let's see how your house did.

[audience groaning] - Wow.

- Oh, and the house went for A.

Bad luck, Slytherin. [cheers and applause]

Well, that was a very exciting round on both sides.

Now, we're going to take a quick break.

But when we come back, teams, we've got more treats for you.

The stars of "Harry Potter"

reunited with their Hogwarts houses when we return.

[cheers and applause]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back.

Let's get back to our Dueling Club round.

Slytherin, there's only one Gryffindor player

who hasn't played this round yet.

Sofia, how Gryffindor are you?

- I'm pretty sure I'm as Gryffindor as you get.

I have plenty of determination today.

- [laughs] [cheers and applause]

- Now tell us,

why did you save the -point question for Sofia?

- Well, she is the youngest,

so I think it was just more of a strategic move.

- Now, do you think you've got the same amount of knowledge

as some of the grown-ups that you are surrounded by?

- I guess my argument is that I'm the youngest.

My mind is the sharpest.

[oohs and laughter]

- And who better to pose that question

than one of Gryffindor's best-known house alums?

Please welcome an actor who rose to the occasion

playing Neville Longbottom, Matthew Lewis.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello again, everyone. - Hello, Matthew.

- You've done your house proud so far, team.

Let's keep it going. Here's your -point question.

When Harry joined the Gryffindor quidditch team

in his first year at Hogwarts,

he was the school's youngest seeker in a century.

A, one, B, two,

C, three, or D, four?

- I remember Angelina Johnson as a player.

Also Katie Bell I think was a player at that time.

So I'm going to say B, two.

- Well, let's see if you're right.

- The answer is C, three, so you missed that one.

[audience groaning]

Good luck with the rest of the game.

- Well, that was tough.

Let's see how your housemates did.

And they all said B as well.

Unfortunately, no points for Gryffindor.

All right, Slytherin, your -point Dueling Club question

goes to Giulia.

Okay, Giulia, how do you feel?

- I feel good. - Good.

- Just good. [laughs]

- You know, if you get this question right

and your house gets it right,

you will take the lead for the first time.

- Okay, cool. Great, awesome. Let's do it.

[cheers and applause]

- You know him as the character

who smoldered with contempt for Gryffindor.

Please welcome Tom Felton.

- Whoo! - Yes.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello again, everybody.

Here is your big -point question.

When Harry infiltrated the Ministry of Magic

in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Part ,"

Was it, A, Sirius Black's mirror,

B, Alastor Moody's eye, C, Peter Pettigrew's finger,

or D, Quirinus Quirrell's turban?

- All right, Giulia, what's your answer?

- Peter Pettigrew's finger.

I feel like that's kind of gross.

I don't know why she would be keeping his finger.

I'm gonna go with B.

- Well, let's see if you are right.

- The answer is

B, Alastor Moody's eye. [cheers and applause]

You're right. Congratulations!

- That's points for your team. Well done.

If your housemates got it right, you will take the lead.

[cheers and applause]

Another points for Slytherin.

So that does it for our Dueling Club round.

- Yes! - Well done, both teams.

[cheers and applause]

Luke Youngblood.

[cheers and applause]

[chuckles] There he is.

where do our houses stand now?

- It's Gryffindor with points,

but slithering into the lead with

is Slytherin! [cheers and applause]

- Thank you, Luke.

And that brings us to round three.

It's time for our teams to enter

The Department of Magical Games.

We're going to reveal the names of magical charms

on our portrait wall...

[cheers and applause]

Each representing a different game.

Now, you're going to take turns choosing two to play.

Each question is worth points.

But now if you get a question wrong,

the other team gets a chance to steal

and win themselves points.

Each game in this round is related to tonight's theme,

and that theme is...

- Yes! Yes! [cheers and applause]

- Slytherin, you're in the lead.

Which game would you like to start off with?

- My thought is

that Trey said he listens to the films every morning.

- Mm. - Yeah.

- And he's not watching, which means his ability to detect...

- To hear.

- By sound might be really good.

- Mm.

- I don't think we should give them Obscuro.

- Yeah, okay.

- The Obscuro charm puts a blindfold over someone's eyes,

so for us, this game is all about what you can hear,

but you cannot see.

Now, listen. Listen carefully.

[ominous orchestral music]

- [hissing] Harry Potter.

[applause]

- For points... - Okay.

- What two characters associated with the Dark Arts

were featured in that scene?

- I can see Voldemort.

He's been shoved under that turban all day,

and he sort of stretches out his face...

- [sputtering laugh]

- And opens his eyes like, "[hissing] Harry Potter."

- I believe that counts as two characters,

Voldemort and Quirrell, Professor Quirrell.

- Mm-hmm. I agree.

- Let's see if you're right.

[ominous orchestral music]

[cheers and applause] - [hissing] Harry Potter.

- Terrifying and correct. - Yes!

[cheers and applause] - There it is.

- points. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

So Team Gryffindor, which game do you want to pick?

- A-Accio?

- Okay. - Good.

The Accio charm is used to summon an object towards you.

Tonight, we've summoned an actual Dark Arts prop

from the "Harry Potter" films.

And here it is.

[cheers and applause]

Ooh.

This one is very special,

because here we have the actual diadem.

And the question is which of these items

is the real Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw

seen in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Part "?

- Okay.

If we look at size and stone,

B is obviously a standout as far as how different it is.

- This is the only one that has also,

like, the blue gem on the top.

- This looks really high-quality and shiny.

This looks a little dull.

- I feel like I remember seeing blue stones

at the top of the diadem.

- I trust you. [applause]

- So the question again is which of these items

is the real Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw?

- After careful consideration and deliberation,

our final answer is D.

- Before we find out if you're right,

Team Slytherin, what do you think?

- Our thoughts is that it is C.

C has the inscription that we know is on it,

it has a nice, dark stone in the middle.

- So your answer is C? - Yes.

- Gryffindor, your answer is D.

You are both incorrect.

- Wow. - Whoa.

- The real diadem is B. Isn't that interesting?

- Wow.

- And to prove it, here is the clip.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

- Oh, it's just the lighting.

- So nobody scored any points in that round.

As things stand, there are just points

between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

That's nothing at all.

It's time to pop the kettle on.

When we come back, we'll be playing The Last Word

with another very special "Harry Potter" super fan.

Back in a tick.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back to "Harry

Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

Gryffindor and Slytherin are battling it out

here in our tournament's decisive wild card game

with the winner moving on to the final.

We're in the middle of round three.

It's the Department of Magical Games.

[cheers and applause]

Slytherin, which charm would you like?

- I think Revelio.

- I think we can do really well at that one.

- Yeah. - Good, we have our answer.

Revelio.

Revelio is a charm used to reveal concealed objects.

In this game,

you have to uncover or Revelio what happens next.

In this scene from "The Deathly Part ,"

the Battle of Hogwarts is quickly approaching its climax.

[indistinct shouting]

[intense dramatic music]

- I'll lure him into the castle.

We have to k*ll the snake.

- You'll need this.

[cheers and applause]

- For points,

who is about to be hit by a spell from Voldemort?

- It's gotta be someone important, right?

- Yeah.

- So Neville, before he pulls the sword,

is knocked out, and he gets up all bleary-eyed

with things happening around him.

- Is that because he hit him? - Is that because he got--

I'm not quite sure,

but he definitely gets hit by something.

- I feel good logically about it.

- Yeah. - And the answer?

- Neville Longbottom. - All right, let's take a look.

[overlapping shouting]

[Neville grunts]

- Yes! - Yes!

[cheers and applause]

- Neville, Neville, Neville, Neville, Neville.

We love Neville.

all: Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

- Okay, Gryffindor, you need to get this question right

so you can catch up.

- So what do we think?

- I mean, I'm ready to just jump right in Engorgio.

If you guys are okay with it. - Yeah.

- Helen, we're gonna go with Engorgio.

- Engorgio is the engorgement charm,

which makes its target grow much larger than it is.

[dramatic music]

Ooh.

This is an enlarged version of a character

associated with the Dark Arts.

Who is it?

- When I think about people

associated with the Dark Arts, I don't think about, like,

a buttoned-up shirt really that much.

- Unless he's a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

- This is gonna sound really crazy.

Really, like, crazy, Helen.

- [chuckles] Crazy, Trey. [laughter]

- If I'm looking at the neck,

that neck looks like Harry's neck.

- You know a lot about Harry's neck, don't you?

[laughter]- Yo. [chuckles]

- That neck.

- We know that Harry is a Horcrux.

And for some reason, I think it's Harry.

Might not be, but I'd rather go with my stomach and be wrong,

if you guys are okay with it.

- I'm okay with that. - Okay.

- I'm okay.

- Harry Potter himself.

- Oh, very interesting.

You need to get this question

- Power, humility,

courage, sacrifice...

and redemption.

You've come to the right place.

Two houses,

but only one can take a place in the Grand Final.

And if that's not enough drama for you,

it's Gryffindor versus Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

This is "Harry Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Good evening. I'm Helen Mirren.

And under their watchful eyes,

I'm here to host another celebrated night

in "Harry Potter" history.

Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw

have both secured spots in the Grand Final,

but there's still one open spot remaining.

And this evening,

the two teams who narrowly lost those earlier contests

have one last sh*t at survival

in this, our last do-or-die wild card game.

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

So let's get straight to it and welcome our teams.

[cheers and applause]

Gryffindor.

[cheers and applause]

all: Go, go, Gryffindor! Go, go, Gryffindor!

Go, go, Gryffindor!

- Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

all: Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

- Welcome, everyone. It's great to see you again.

Seems like a long time ago. How are you all feeling?

- Great. - Good. Great.

We're ready.

- As most Gryffindors know,

phoenixes are reborn from the ashes,

so this is our rebirth today.

[cheers and applause]

- So, Trey, we can tell you are a huge fan.

Are you really obsessed?

- It's probably an unhealthy obsession.

[laughter]

It consumes most of my life.

Like, I wake up, I'll watch a movie before work.

Me and the wife go on "Harry Potter" dates.

all: Aww.

- The kids, they're born, and then they get sorted, so.

[laughter]

- And which houses are they in?

- Both my children are in Gryffindor.

- Of course they are.

[cheers and applause]

Fantastic.

Now, how about you, Slytherin?

You walked out with great confidence.

[laughter] You guys marched out there.

- Very committed today.

- That's what Slytherin's about.

[cheers and applause]

- Ryan. - Dame Helen.

- Yes, how are ya? - I'm good.

- Which character do you connect with?

- My favorite character is Professor Dolores Umbridge.

- Oh. [audience groaning]

- Yes. She's a powerful woman...

- Yes. - Who gets what she wants.

- A classic Slytherin move, if I may say.

[laughter]

Well, listen, this is your last chance to get to the final,

so the best of luck, Slytherin, and best of luck, Gryffindor.

Okay, teams,

as usual, everybody out there in your houses

are going to be playing along too,

hopefully adding points to your score throughout every round.

And whoever gets to that final

is still in with a chance of lifting that trophy.

[cheers and applause]

You can't win that unless you win this game.

So let's get things started with round one.

Take a look over there at our portrait wall,

because tonight, the story of one team's redemption

begins with...

The World of Harry Potter.

In this first round, we're going to show each house

a scene from one of the eight "Harry Potter" films.

Players, you'll work together to answer questions

about that film.

Team Gryffindor, you're up first.

[cheers and applause]

Your scene is from "The Deathly Part ."

As you know, the first question will be about something

you're going to see in the scene.

Here we go.

- I've had all the essentials packed for days

just in case.

- By the way, these jeans, not my favorite.

[ethereal dissonant hissing]

- Down!

[screaming]

Stupefy!

[music playing on headphones]

- Expulso!

[glass clinking]

- Petrificus Totalus! - [groans]

Go. Leave.

[cheers and applause]

- You know, that sort of thing happens all the time

in late-night cafés in London, I'm telling you.

[laughter]

All right, Team Gryffindor.

Of all the spells the combatants fired at each other

during that fight, how many were fired by Ron?

- I don't know why. In my head, I'm thinking one.

- I'm thinking one. - I'm gonna say one.

- Okay. I agree with you.

- Okay. - One.

- Well, let's see if you're right.

[suspenseful music]

- Correct. Ten points for Gryffindor.

Well done, guys.

Really blink and you would've missed that.

I can see you are so determined, Brittany.

How much do you want to win this competition?

- Very much so.

I would say / , but we're like .

[laughter] - Yeah, yeah.

- We're like a thousand. [cheers and applause]

I've always been very competitive.

I was a track and field athlete, Olympic hopeful.

I've always been the captain of my teams...

- Oh. - I was a beauty pageant girl.

So my whole life, I've been competing.

- Seriously? So you bring it every time.

- Yeah.

- All right, are you ready for question number two?

- Yes, ma'am.

A, wanted posters, B, a quidditch team,

C, Knockturn Alley, or D, his dreams?

- Okay, so Antonin Dolohov. - That's Antonin Dolohov.

- Which is a known Death Eater. - Correct.

- I don't see the Death Eaters playing quidditch. Well, yeah.

- I don't think he prayed quidditch.

- And Ron would have to know Dolohov in his dreams

from something else, so that can be eliminated.

- And we don't see Ron spending a great amount

of time in Knockturn Alley, which leads us--

- Good point. - Just narrows it down to--

- By elimination to A, wanted posters.

- Let's see if you're right.

[suspenseful music]

You are correct.

[cheers and applause] points. Well done!

Team Gryffindor, you can relax for a bit now,

because we are going to pose this question

to your entire house.

This last question is worth points.

If the majority answer is the right one,

those points will go to your team score.

So here's the question.

A, Oxford Street, B, Shaftesbury Avenue,

C, Regent Street, or D, Savile Row?

And lock in your answers.

The votes are in, and the top answer

is B, Shaftesbury Avenue.

You're correct. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

points to your team. Well done, Gryffindor.

- Yes!

- And next, it's Slytherin's turn to rack up some points.

The magic has only just started.

Do not move.

We'll be right back after this.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- This is the World of Harry Potter round.

Gryffindor scored points.

And now, Slytherin, it's your turn to play.

[cheers and applause]

All right, then.

Your scene will be from "The Half-Blood Prince."

Watch carefully.

[cheers and applause]

- Muggles who own this place are in the Canary Islands.

- I think we should put it back in order for them, don't you?

- Yes. - Mind?

[wand whooshes softly]

[clinking and clattering]

[wondrous music]

[random piano notes]

[squeaking]

[frame creaks]

That was fun.

[cheers and applause]

- If only it was that easy to clean up our houses.

[laughter]

I'd love to have that wand.

Okay.

Slytherin, amidst all the cleanup,

which type of musical instrument

did we see get put back together again?

- It was very noticeable,

because it's a very big instrument.

- Mm-hmm. - You can't miss it.

I think we can all agree it's definitely a piano.

- Okay, let's see if you're right.

[random piano notes]

[cheers and applause] - Yes, yes!

Ten points for Slytherin.

[cheers and applause]

Michelle. - Hi.

- What brought you to the world of "Harry Potter"?

- I grew up in Hawaii.

And there, you know, all the cool kids go to the beach

and have parties and surf,

and I really didn't do any of that growing up.

- Yes.

- I pretty much read part of a "Harry Potter" book

every single day from the time I was able to read them

until I started college

and had to actually put some work into school.

- I think you're gonna do great tonight.

- Thank you. - So really good luck.

And now, here's question number two for points.

Earlier in the film, Harry looked out of the window

of a café in the London underground

and saw Dumbledore in front of an ad for a perfume.

Was it A, Dark Magic,

B, Divine Magic,

C, Black Magic,

or D, Eternal Magic?

- Dark Magic and Black Magic

doesn't seem to fit Dumbledore scenes.

I feel like that's setting a weird tone.

- And what kind of perfume lasts forever?

- Do we feel pretty good about B?

- I think so. - Let's see if you're right.

You are correct. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

And now, this third question

is going to all of your housemates out there.

So here's the question.

Later in "The Half-Blood Prince,"

Ron tried out for the Gryffindor quidditch team.

A, four, B, five,

C, six, or D, seven?

[suspenseful music]

Lock in your answers.

The votes are in, and their top answer was B.

And that is incorrect, house. [audience groaning]

The answer is C, six.

So where do our houses stand in this wild card round?

Luke Youngblood.

[cheers and applause]

- We have Slytherin on points

and Gryffindor on !

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you, Luke. Now, it's time for round two.

We all know this round as the Dueling Club.

[cheers and applause]

So the questions are now worth ten, , and points.

And, teams, you're going to take turns aiming each question

at a single player on the opposing team.

The -point question is of course the toughest,

so you'll want to be strategic

about who you send that one over to.

Your houses will be playing along with each question

so they can potentially add points to your score.

Slytherin, the first question about Gryffindor

is worth ten points.

Who do you want to fire it at and why?

- So I feel like Trey really marinates in the information,

and that feels dangerous to me. [laughter]

- He could be the real thr*at on that team.

- Trey,

the Slytherins clearly think that you're a major thr*at.

Are they right? - Oh, yes, ma'am.

[audience oohs]

- Question is this.

While seated with his fellow Gryffindors

in "The Chamber of Secrets" film,

Ron received a Howler from his mother.

A, "How dare you steal that car!"

[laughter]

B, "I'm absolutely disgusted!"

[laughter]

C, "What were you thinking?"

Or D, "We'll bring you straight home!"

[cheers and applause]

Lock in your answers. Okay.

Trey, what did you say?

- "What were you thinking"

sounds like something my mom would say.

[laughter]

So I'm confidently gonna go with

C, "What were you thinking?"

- Trey, you just won ten points for your house.

Well done. [cheers and applause]

Let's see how your housemates did.

And they were also correct with C,

so another ten points for Gryffindor.

Now, control swings back to you, Gryffindor.

This question about Slytherin is worth ten points.

Who do you want to answer your question and why?

- Well, Ms. Michelle said

that she's very fond of reading all the books.

So I think that she has a plethora of knowledge.

- And to me, she seems quite smart,

so it seems like she'll retain knowledge.

- Gryffindor are starting off with you.

Why do you think that is?

- You know, all the things they said I agree with.

[laughter]

- Okay, Michelle, for ten points...

A, it spoke in a quiet whisper,

B, it was on Draco's head backwards,

C, it fell off,

or D,

it made its decision before touching Draco's head.

Lock in your answers.

Well, now, Michelle, what did you think?

- So I can see this moment playing in my head.

Draco comes swaggering up to the stool

dripping in Slytherin energy.

[laughter]

There's absolutely no way the Sorting Hat

would speak in a quiet whisper,

because it knows exactly where Draco's supposed to go.

In fact, it knew exactly where it was supposed to go

before even touching Draco's head...

- Ah. - So I'm gonna go with D.

- And in a very confident manner

and beautifully acted out, I might say,

the Slytherin swagger.

I love the idea. [laughter]

I'm gonna--I'm gonna do the Slytherin swagger now.

[cheers and applause]

Slytherin swagger. [laughter]

So Michelle, let's see if you are right or wrong.

And you are correct.

Well done, Michelle, for ten points.

[cheers and applause]

So let's see if your house was correct as well.

Yes, they were. [cheers and applause]

Congratulations.

Now, this question about Gryffindor house

is worth points.

So Slytherin, who do you want to answer it?

- Brittany I think is very competitive.

So do we agree that Brittany might be the -point question?

- I agree.

- Brittany, for points, here is your question.

As Dumbledore announced in "The Prisoner of Azkaban,"

former Gryffindor Hagrid...

[laughter]

A, Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank,

B, Silvanus Kettleburn,

C, Herbert Beery,

or, D, Aurora Sinistra?

Lock in your answers.

Okay, Brittany, what is your answer?

- Okay, so this is actually really funny

because "Prisoner of Azkaban" is my favorite movie.

I'm gonna go with Herbert Beery, C.

- And I'm afraid you're incorrect there.

It was Silvanus Kettleburn. [audience groaning]

Let's see how your house did.

Your house got it right.

[cheers and applause] - Thank you, guys. Thank you.

All right, back once more to you, Gryffindor.

This question about Slytherin is worth points.

Who do you want to answer it?

- If you ask me, I mean, he's an Umbridge fan.

- I'm just gonna have to select him

because of the Umbridge-ness.

- Yeah. [laughter]

- [imitating Umbridge] Ahem. [laughter]

- Okay, Ryan, for points.

As seen on his tomb in "The Goblet of Fire" film...

A, , B, ,

C, ,

or D, ?

[audience groaning]

- That is evil. That is evil. [laughter]

- House, lock in your answers.

No pressure, Ryan, but if you get this right,

then you'll bring yourselves equal with Team Gryffindor.

- I was afraid of a moment like this.

[laughter]

I'm gonna go with what I know about production of the movie,

and they love odd numbers.

Seven Horcruxes, three Hallows. - Mm, interesting.

- So I'm going towards B,

and I'm just-- I'm gonna go with that.

- Go with your gut.

Oh!

- The correct answer is D, Ryan.

But you are very right about the odd numbers.

But let's see how your house did.

[audience groaning] - Wow.

- Oh, and the house went for A.

Bad luck, Slytherin. [cheers and applause]

Well, that was a very exciting round on both sides.

Now, we're going to take a quick break.

But when we come back, teams, we've got more treats for you.

The stars of "Harry Potter"

reunited with their Hogwarts houses when we return.

[cheers and applause]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back.

Let's get back to our Dueling Club round.

Slytherin, there's only one Gryffindor player

who hasn't played this round yet.

Sofia, how Gryffindor are you?

- I'm pretty sure I'm as Gryffindor as you get.

I have plenty of determination today.

- [laughs] [cheers and applause]

- Now tell us,

why did you save the -point question for Sofia?

- Well, she is the youngest,

so I think it was just more of a strategic move.

- Now, do you think you've got the same amount of knowledge

as some of the grown-ups that you are surrounded by?

- I guess my argument is that I'm the youngest.

My mind is the sharpest.

[oohs and laughter]

- And who better to pose that question

than one of Gryffindor's best-known house alums?

Please welcome an actor who rose to the occasion

playing Neville Longbottom, Matthew Lewis.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello again, everyone. - Hello, Matthew.

- You've done your house proud so far, team.

Let's keep it going. Here's your -point question.

When Harry joined the Gryffindor quidditch team

in his first year at Hogwarts,

he was the school's youngest seeker in a century.

A, one, B, two,

C, three, or D, four?

- I remember Angelina Johnson as a player.

Also Katie Bell I think was a player at that time.

So I'm going to say B, two.

- Well, let's see if you're right.

- The answer is C, three, so you missed that one.

[audience groaning]

Good luck with the rest of the game.

- Well, that was tough.

Let's see how your housemates did.

And they all said B as well.

Unfortunately, no points for Gryffindor.

All right, Slytherin, your -point Dueling Club question

goes to Giulia.

Okay, Giulia, how do you feel?

- I feel good. - Good.

- Just good. [laughs]

- You know, if you get this question right

and your house gets it right,

you will take the lead for the first time.

- Okay, cool. Great, awesome. Let's do it.

[cheers and applause]

- You know him as the character

who smoldered with contempt for Gryffindor.

Please welcome Tom Felton.

- Whoo! - Yes.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello again, everybody.

Here is your big -point question.

When Harry infiltrated the Ministry of Magic

in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Part ,"

Was it, A, Sirius Black's mirror,

B, Alastor Moody's eye, C, Peter Pettigrew's finger,

or D, Quirinus Quirrell's turban?

- All right, Giulia, what's your answer?

- Peter Pettigrew's finger.

I feel like that's kind of gross.

I don't know why she would be keeping his finger.

I'm gonna go with B.

- Well, let's see if you are right.

- The answer is

B, Alastor Moody's eye. [cheers and applause]

You're right. Congratulations!

- That's points for your team. Well done.

If your housemates got it right, you will take the lead.

[cheers and applause]

Another points for Slytherin.

So that does it for our Dueling Club round.

- Yes! - Well done, both teams.

[cheers and applause]

Luke Youngblood.

[cheers and applause]

[chuckles] There he is.

where do our houses stand now?

- It's Gryffindor with points,

but slithering into the lead with

is Slytherin! [cheers and applause]

- Thank you, Luke.

And that brings us to round three.

It's time for our teams to enter

The Department of Magical Games.

We're going to reveal the names of magical charms

on our portrait wall...

[cheers and applause]

Each representing a different game.

Now, you're going to take turns choosing two to play.

Each question is worth points.

But now if you get a question wrong,

the other team gets a chance to steal

and win themselves points.

Each game in this round is related to tonight's theme,

and that theme is...

- Yes! Yes! [cheers and applause]

- Slytherin, you're in the lead.

Which game would you like to start off with?

- My thought is

that Trey said he listens to the films every morning.

- Mm. - Yeah.

- And he's not watching, which means his ability to detect...

- To hear.

- By sound might be really good.

- Mm.

- I don't think we should give them Obscuro.

- Yeah, okay.

- The Obscuro charm puts a blindfold over someone's eyes,

so for us, this game is all about what you can hear,

but you cannot see.

Now, listen. Listen carefully.

[ominous orchestral music]

- [hissing] Harry Potter.

[applause]

- For points... - Okay.

- What two characters associated with the Dark Arts

were featured in that scene?

- I can see Voldemort.

He's been shoved under that turban all day,

and he sort of stretches out his face...

- [sputtering laugh]

- And opens his eyes like, "[hissing] Harry Potter."

- I believe that counts as two characters,

Voldemort and Quirrell, Professor Quirrell.

- Mm-hmm. I agree.

- Let's see if you're right.

[ominous orchestral music]

[cheers and applause] - [hissing] Harry Potter.

- Terrifying and correct. - Yes!

[cheers and applause] - There it is.

- points. Well done.

[cheers and applause]

So Team Gryffindor, which game do you want to pick?

- A-Accio?

- Okay. - Good.

The Accio charm is used to summon an object towards you.

Tonight, we've summoned an actual Dark Arts prop

from the "Harry Potter" films.

And here it is.

[cheers and applause]

Ooh.

This one is very special,

because here we have the actual diadem.

And the question is which of these items

is the real Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw

seen in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Part "?

- Okay.

If we look at size and stone,

B is obviously a standout as far as how different it is.

- This is the only one that has also,

like, the blue gem on the top.

- This looks really high-quality and shiny.

This looks a little dull.

- I feel like I remember seeing blue stones

at the top of the diadem.

- I trust you. [applause]

- So the question again is which of these items

is the real Lost Diadem of Ravenclaw?

- After careful consideration and deliberation,

our final answer is D.

- Before we find out if you're right,

Team Slytherin, what do you think?

- Our thoughts is that it is C.

C has the inscription that we know is on it,

it has a nice, dark stone in the middle.

- So your answer is C? - Yes.

- Gryffindor, your answer is D.

You are both incorrect.

- Wow. - Whoa.

- The real diadem is B. Isn't that interesting?

- Wow.

- And to prove it, here is the clip.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

- Oh, it's just the lighting.

- So nobody scored any points in that round.

As things stand, there are just points

between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

That's nothing at all.

It's time to pop the kettle on.

When we come back, we'll be playing The Last Word

with another very special "Harry Potter" super fan.

Back in a tick.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back to "Harry

Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

Gryffindor and Slytherin are battling it out

here in our tournament's decisive wild card game

with the winner moving on to the final.

We're in the middle of round three.

It's the Department of Magical Games.

[cheers and applause]

Slytherin, which charm would you like?

- I think Revelio.

- I think we can do really well at that one.

- Yeah. - Good, we have our answer.

Revelio.

Revelio is a charm used to reveal concealed objects.

In this game,

you have to uncover or Revelio what happens next.

In this scene from "The Deathly Part ,"

the Battle of Hogwarts is quickly approaching its climax.

[indistinct shouting]

[intense dramatic music]

- I'll lure him into the castle.

We have to k*ll the snake.

- You'll need this.

[cheers and applause]

- For points,

who is about to be hit by a spell from Voldemort?

- It's gotta be someone important, right?

- Yeah.

- So Neville, before he pulls the sword,

is knocked out, and he gets up all bleary-eyed

with things happening around him.

- Is that because he hit him? - Is that because he got--

I'm not quite sure,

but he definitely gets hit by something.

- I feel good logically about it.

- Yeah. - And the answer?

- Neville Longbottom. - All right, let's take a look.

[overlapping shouting]

[Neville grunts]

- Yes! - Yes!

[cheers and applause]

- Neville, Neville, Neville, Neville, Neville.

We love Neville.

all: Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin! Slytherin!

- Okay, Gryffindor, you need to get this question right

so you can catch up.

- So what do we think?

- I mean, I'm ready to just jump right in Engorgio.

If you guys are okay with it. - Yeah.

- Helen, we're gonna go with Engorgio.

- Engorgio is the engorgement charm,

which makes its target grow much larger than it is.

[dramatic music]

Ooh.

This is an enlarged version of a character

associated with the Dark Arts.

Who is it?

- When I think about people

associated with the Dark Arts, I don't think about, like,

a buttoned-up shirt really that much.

- Unless he's a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

- This is gonna sound really crazy.

Really, like, crazy, Helen.

- [chuckles] Crazy, Trey. [laughter]

- If I'm looking at the neck,

that neck looks like Harry's neck.

- You know a lot about Harry's neck, don't you?

[laughter] - Yo.

You need to get this question right so you can catch up.

Unfortunately, you are incorrect.

[audience groaning] I'm sorry. That's wrong.

Team Slytherin, you could steal this for points.

- Okay. - All right.

So it seems to me like hand-me-downs.

- A woolen shirt maybe at--

both: Wool's Orphanage.

- So I think we're gonna go with young Tom Riddle

at the orphanage.

- If you are correct, you've stolen points.

Let's see if you're right.

And you're right.

You managed to steal that question for points.

- That was unbelievable. Unbelievable.

- Oh! [cheers and applause]

- That was really unbelievable.

- That brings us to the final game of this round,

which is called The Last Word.

In this game, only your houses are going to play

with a game-changing points on the line.

For this game,

I've asked another special guest to help us out.

He's a brilliant Tony Award winning comedic actor

beloved by "Harry Potter" fans

for his role as Jacob Kowalski...

- [gasps]

- In "The Fantastic Beasts" film series.

Please welcome Dan Fogler.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello there, Dame Helen, and hello, houses.

This is The Last Word.

I love "Harry Potter" more than I love Gigglewater.

[laughter]

Here's how this works.

I'm gonna read to you a passage

from one of my favorite "Harry Potter" books,

but I'm gonna leave off the last word of the passage.

You out there in the houses

have to guess what that word is.

This passage from "The Order of the Phoenix"

highlights the cruel disciplinary practices

of Dolores Umbridge,

who had made Harry write with the dreaded Black Quill.

Okay.

[soft dramatic music]

"The cut on the back of Harry's hand had barely healed

"and by the following morning, it was bleeding again.

"He did not complain during the evening's detention.

"He was determined not to give Umbridge the satisfaction.

"Over and over again he wrote, 'I must not tell lies,'

"and not a sound escaped his lips,

though the cut deepened with every..."

- What is the last word?

Is it A, stroke, B, word,

C, line, or D, letter?

[suspenseful music]

Let's see how you voted.

Gryffindors and the Slytherins chose stroke.

So let's see how your houses did.

- "Over and over again he wrote,

"'I must not tell lies,'

"and not a sound escaped his lips,

"though the cut deepened with every...

letter." [audience groaning]

So the answer is D, letter.

Nice try.

Best of luck to all of you.

[applause] - Thank you, Dan.

That brings us to the end of round three.

Where do our houses stand now?

- We do have Team Gryffindor with points,

but Slytherin are still in the lead with !

[cheers and applause]

You know, everything could change.

- Thanks, Luke. [cheers and applause]

Well, this game has been as much fun

as a pair of Extendable Ears.

[laughter]

And we still have one final round to go,

the decisive Golden Snitch round.

Will Team Gryffindor be moving onto the final to play

for that championship trophy, or will it be Slytherin?

We'll find out when we come back.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back to "Harry

Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

These two houses are about to battle it out

in the final round of our wild card game.

And of course, the winner of this match

is moving straight on to the final.

[cheers and applause]

This final round is called The Golden Snitch.

[cheers and applause]

In this round, you'll have to answer six tough questions.

And of course, your houses will be playing along as well.

Each question's worth points.

And finally, we all know in the films and the books

if you catch the Golden Snitch, it's worth points.

Well, here, if your house gets all six answers right,

we'll double those points to points.

[cheers and applause]

You see? That's how things can change fast.

Gryffindors, are you ready?

all: Yeah.

[cheers and applause]

- Slytherins, have you got your game faces on?

- Yeah! - Game face, game face.

[suspenseful music]

- Okay, here we go. Question one.

Is it A, FX ,

B, AW ,

C, NFA ,

or D, TD?

Ten seconds.

Okay, teams, lock in your answers.

Gryffindor, you said A. Slytherin, you said D.

For points, the correct answer is...

D. Slytherin. [cheers and applause]

Question two.

Over the course of the film franchise...

A, Ron Weasley, B, Harry Potter,

C, Hermione Granger, or D, Alastor Moody?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

And your time is up.

Both teams, you went for C, Hermione Granger.

And you are both correct. Now, the next question.

Is it A, Tina Goldstein, B, Seraphina Picquery,

C, Henry Shaw Sr.,

or D, Mary Lou Barebone?

- D. - Yeah.

- She's the woman who's in charge of the anti-wizards.

- The crazy lady? Okay. - Crazy lady.

- Lock in your answers.

So you both went for D, Mary Lou Barebone.

And that is correct. We have three questions left.

A, nine, B, ten,

C, , or D, ?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

So you both went for D, dogs.

And you are both correct again. [cheers and applause]

On to question five of six questions.

In the book "The Chamber of Secrets,"

Harry went to Nearly Headless Nick's th Deathday Party.

Which ghost was not in attendance?

A, Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore, B, the Wailing Widow,

C, Peeves the Poltergeist, or D, Professor Binns?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

So Gryffindor, you went for B, the Wailing Widow,

and Slytherins, you went for D, Professor Binns.

And the correct answer...

is D, Professor Binns.

[cheers and applause]

So the points go to Slytherin.

Last question, guys.

In "The Deathly Part ,"

Dolores Umbridge interrogated a mother of three

named Mary Elizabeth Cattermole.

A, Maisie, B, Ellie,

C, Edgar, D Alfred.

- It's definitely Maisie, too. [indistinct]

So you both went for the same answer, C, Edgar.

And on this last question,

you have both earned points.

You're both right.

[cheers and applause]

And that does it for the questions in this round,

but there's still one big question left.

Before we factor in our house points, where do things stand?

- Well in this wild card matchup,

Gryffindor have , and Slytherin have .

[cheers and applause]

[suspenseful music]

- Tell us the all-important score.

How did the houses do?

- Slytherin's house have contributed...

another points!

[cheers and applause]

- So, Slytherin, that means you are at points.

- Okay. - Okay, I'll take that.

- Okay. Now, Gryffindor, that means you need your house

to have scored at least points to tie.

The only way Team Gryffindor can win

is if the house has completed the Golden Snitch,

which is difficult, but it's not impossible,

because it has been done before.

So Luke, how did our House Gryffindor do?

- Tonight, House Gryffindor will be adding

to their team score...

points! - Yes!

- So that means tonight's winner...

- Good job, guys.

- And moving on to the final

to play for that championship trophy

is Slytherin.

Congratulations, Slytherin.

[triumphant orchestral music]

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

- And well played, Gryffindor. You played a great game.

You were noble, you were great, you were Gryffindor.

That's it for this thrilling wild card game.

Thank you, houses, thank you, Luke,

and thank you for watching.

We'll leave you this evening

with some of Dumbledore's best advice.

Nitwit. Blubber. Oddment. Tweak.

Goodnight.

[cheers and applause]

Welcome to the Grand Final

of "Harry Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

Only one house will be Hogwarts House Champions.

Who will it be?

The hard-working Hufflepuffs, the witty Ravenclaws,

or the determined Slytherins?

Let the games begin.

[cheers and applause]
right so you can catch up.

He's a brilliant Tony Award- winning comedic actor

beloved by "Harry Potter" fans

for his role as Jacob Kowalski...

- [gasps]

- In "The Fantastic Beasts" film series.

Please welcome Dan Fogler.

[cheers and applause]

- Hello there, Dame Helen, and hello, houses.

This is The Last Word.

I love "Harry Potter" more than I love Gigglewater.

[laughter]

Here's how this works.

I'm gonna read to you a passage

from one of my favorite "Harry Potter" books,

but I'm gonna leave off the last word of the passage.

You out there in the houses

have to guess what that word is.

This passage from "The Order of the Phoenix"

highlights the cruel disciplinary practices

of Dolores Umbridge,

who had made Harry write with the dreaded Black Quill.

Okay.

[soft dramatic music]

"The cut on the back of Harry's hand had barely healed

"and by the following morning, it was bleeding again.

"He did not complain during the evening's detention.

"He was determined not to give Umbridge the satisfaction.

"Over and over again he wrote, 'I must not tell lies,'

"and not a sound escaped his lips,

though the cut deepened with every..."

- What is the last word?

Is it A, stroke, B, word,

C, line, or D, letter?

[suspenseful music]

Let's see how you voted.

Gryffindors and the Slytherins chose stroke.

So let's see how your houses did.

- "Over and over again he wrote,

"'I must not tell lies,'

"and not a sound escaped his lips,

"though the cut deepened with every...

letter." [audience groaning]

So the answer is D, letter.

Nice try.

Best of luck to all of you.

[applause] - Thank you, Dan.

That brings us to the end of round three.

Where do our houses stand now?

- We do have Team Gryffindor with points,

but Slytherin are still in the lead with !

[cheers and applause]

You know, everything could change.

- Thanks, Luke. [cheers and applause]

Well, this game has been as much fun

as a pair of Extendable Ears.

[laughter]

And we still have one final round to go,

the decisive Golden Snitch round.

Will Team Gryffindor be moving onto the final to play

for that championship trophy, or will it be Slytherin?

We'll find out when we come back.

[cheers and applause]

[dramatic music]

[cheers and applause]

- Welcome back to "Harry

Hogwarts Tournament of Houses."

[cheers and applause]

These two houses are about to battle it out

in the final round of our wild card game.

And of course, the winner of this match

is moving straight on to the final.

[cheers and applause]

This final round is called The Golden Snitch.

[cheers and applause]

In this round, you'll have to answer six tough questions.

And of course, your houses will be playing along as well.

Each question's worth points.

And finally, we all know in the films and the books

if you catch the Golden Snitch, it's worth points.

Well, here, if your house gets all six answers right,

we'll double those points to points.

[cheers and applause]

You see? That's how things can change fast.

Gryffindors, are you ready?

all: Yeah.

[cheers and applause]

- Slytherins, have you got your game faces on?

- Yeah! - Game face, game face.

[suspenseful music]

- Okay, here we go. Question one.

Is it A, FX ,

B, AW ,

C, NFA ,

or D, TD?

Ten seconds.

Okay, teams, lock in your answers.

Gryffindor, you said A. Slytherin, you said D.

For points, the correct answer is...

D. Slytherin. [cheers and applause]

Question two.

Over the course of the film franchise...

A, Ron Weasley, B, Harry Potter,

C, Hermione Granger, or D, Alastor Moody?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

And your time is up.

Both teams, you went for C, Hermione Granger.

And you are both correct. Now, the next question.

Is it A, Tina Goldstein, B, Seraphina Picquery,

C, Henry Shaw Sr.,

or D, Mary Lou Barebone?

- D. - Yeah.

- She's the woman who's in charge of the anti-wizards.

- The crazy lady? Okay. - Crazy lady.

- Lock in your answers.

So you both went for D, Mary Lou Barebone.

And that is correct. We have three questions left.

A, nine, B, ten,

C, , or D, ?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

So you both went for D, dogs.

And you are both correct again. [cheers and applause]

On to question five of six questions.

In the book "The Chamber of Secrets,"

Harry went to Nearly Headless Nick's th Deathday Party.

Which ghost was not in attendance?

A, Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore, B, the Wailing Widow,

C, Peeves the Poltergeist, or D, Professor Binns?

[indistinct hushed chatter]

So Gryffindor, you went for B, the Wailing Widow,

and Slytherins, you went for D, Professor Binns.

And the correct answer...

is D, Professor Binns.

[cheers and applause]

So the points go to Slytherin.

Last question, guys.

In "The Deathly Part ,"

Dolores Umbridge interrogated a mother of three

named Mary Elizabeth Cattermole.

A, Maisie, B, Ellie,

C, Edgar, D Alfred.

- It's definitely Maisie, too. [indistinct]

So you both went for the same answer, C, Edgar.

And on this last question,

you have both earned points.

You're both right.

[cheers and applause]

And that does it for the questions in this round,

but there's still one big question left.

Before we factor in our house points, where do things stand?

- Well in this wild card matchup,

Gryffindor have , and Slytherin have .

[cheers and applause]

[suspenseful music]

points! - Yes!

- So that means tonight's winner...

- Good job, guys.

- And moving on to the final

to play for that championship trophy

is Slytherin.

Congratulations, Slytherin.

[triumphant orchestral music]

[cheers and applause]

- Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!

- And well played, Gryffindor. You played a great game.

You were noble, you were great, you were Gryffindor.

That's it for this thrilling wild card game.

Thank you, houses, thank you, Luke,

and thank you for watching.

We'll leave you this evening

with some of Dumbledore's best advice.
