My moves? Well...
When I'm busting a move,
I think that I look cool like J-HOPE
But when I monitor the sh*t,
I see JIN trying hard to dance
Watching myself on the monitor
helps me see where I need work
I also ask the guys for some pointers
and think of ways to make it better
The more I perform on stage,
the better I'll be
I honestly want to give it my best
Ten thousand is just a number,
but when that number
refers to how many people,
that's quite a lot to take in
What should I say... I'm really glad
Even if I'm feeling,
I want to put my best foot forward
I feel like that's how it should be
Welcome to 2017 BTS
LIVE TRILOGY: EPISODE III
We're now in Osaka!
Bear in mind that this is a concert
We had this talk 9, 10 times in Japan
Yeah, in Japan
The biggest reason is this
To draw the audience in,
before we start performing in Japan,
we always smile a lot and be playful
That's how we do it differently here
We came often to meet fans
and perform in Japan,
but people here tend to
just listen more
That's how I remember it
The crowd likes to keep calm and listen
But that doesn't mean
they're not having a blast
That's their way of having a good time
Just being different
So getting our fans in Japan
to jump up and down
and dance to our songs
is entirely up to us
Saitama
For over 20,000 audiences,
we'll give three concerts
The concerts in Japan are amazing
You can see the audience
get bigger with each concert
At first, it was for 500 people,
then for 2,000 in the stands,
then we had 6,000 audiences,
and even 12,000 at times
I can really see us move up
one step at a time,
whenever we do a tour in Japan
Why is that camera following me around?
This is J-HOPE's documentary
My documentary?
Tell me what J-HOPE is usually like
J-HOPE is a bit of a closed book,
so I honestly don't know
I can't really say that
we had a lot of deep conversations
But J-HOPE is like water
Yeah, water
Just by having him around,
or when he gets on stage
and you see him rehearse his moves,
what with the kind of
performance he puts on
and how he carries himself around us
J-HOPE really puts people at ease
We'll really need to focus
- What with many changes
- There's a lot of that today
You should do a bigger turn back
- Bangtan, Bangtan
- Bang Bangtan
It's my first time staging this song
Taking the stage on my own
apart from the seven of us
is quite a bit of pressure
When I got the setlist,
I made sure to get prepared
One thing's for sure
When I staged for MAMA,
I got worried sick
My throat was running dry,
despite all the water I drank
and I was too busy putting on a stage
Now I try to connect with the audience
and find that easier to do now
There's still pressure to give energy
to everyone in the stands
And I have to lead the show
with so many people there
Despite such pressure,
wanting to perform well
make me determined and fearless
Then I get to thinking
that I can look forward to
things working out
And that's how I'm able to grow
That still gives me the chills
I never had a song cut short before
Having your music cut off
is the worst that can happen
I think I panicked more than
the people in the stands
Osaka fans were quick to lead the way
singing along to my song
So I took their b*at
to sing through
Thank you
Though it's a little embarrassing,
I love the thrill of singing on stage
When I grab my mic and shout,
I get shivers down my spine
The thought of worldwide
fans cheering me on
makes me proud that I'm a singer
I can't say we got better
or worse physically,
but we definitely learned
from every concert
It's just that I can't really tell
what that is at the moment
But how we put our mind to it
is pretty much the same
since when we started out
When we're at a concert with fans,
we don't let things distract us
but just focus on how
we can give our everything
to performing on stage
We started out with a concert
for 2,000 people,
and now we get on stage for
20,000 in the stands
By all means, that's big change
and things are different
Everything is bound to change
like how we see things
When we're asked how it feels
to hold our dream concert,
I admit that I love it,
but it's not that same thrill
that we had from the start
The time for that is past
Then do we appreciate it less?
Not in the least
We love having the concerts
Do we get nervous about it? No
We don't take all of this for granted,
but we have other goals
to work towards now
I used to be afraid of big crowds
Ever since I was a trainee,
I had that sort of fear
When I'm out doing casual stuff,
I still feel anxious about crowds
It's been four years since our debut
In our first year, we wondered
if we'd ever make it big
"Why aren't we a smash hit
despite all the work?"
Then in second year, we asked,
"Why aren't we topping the charts?"
"I mean, we're working so hard"
It was a hard time for us,
trying to reach so high
When what you expect doesn't happen,
that can be the hardest thing
Expectations that amount to nothing
That's the hardest to bear
Before, we had very specific goals
We wanted to top the charts,
win a music award,
sell tons of our albums
and top the streaming charts
But it's only been four years
We used to say it's already been
two or three years
But now, we we say only four years
There's no telling how long
we'll be singing on stage,
but I'm sure we'll be
doing music and on stage
for longer than we had so far
I still find it a little frightening
About what we can do,
and if we have what it takes
I think we have a long way to go
We just have to keep going
Nice
Got it
Got it, it's working
Since making it as BTS,
I made my first foray into acting
To show another side of me,
I really pushed myself to practice
He's the guy on BTS?
Great acting
He's that BTS guy?!
That's terrible acting
It was one or the other
That put on a lot of pressure,
and I needed to do well
At first, I was pumped,
saying that I can do this,
how they can count on me
But I forgot my lines,
shaking from all the nerves
I didn't know what to do
As for my a country dialect,
I had trouble figuring out
how to use the Seoul dialect
to bring out my character
in the historical drama
I tanked two intense scenes
that really mattered
I could see myself get yelled at
That was still in my head
when I took the stage,
so my face was just blank
or I managed to smile some
And being bummed out,
I wanted to keep to the hotel
The guys asked me
if I was in a bad mood,
telling me that I looked glum
To be honest,
I wasn't too keen on
letting my stress show
So I didn't tell anyone
Then for the first time,
when I was alone with JIMIN,
I let it all out, crying my eyes out
How I was having trouble
staying in focus
JIMIN was really worried for me
One time, we had group talk
They all said the same thing
"We can't fix this for you"
"But we're here to give support"
That meant all the world to me
That's when I realized this
Unless you open up
and share your feelings,
no one can understand
what you're going through
So I told myself not to
hold back like I used to
and struggle to keep
my troubles to myself
I had my guys there to listen
That's when it all hit me
I bought a new camera
I won't be using my phone
to take pictures now
I'll get really good sh*ts
and share them with you,
so look forward to it
- Nice work
- You, too
Hi
Let's be friends
Friends? Okay
Hello
Can you blow me a kiss?
We're giving 13 concerts
all across Japan
and all our tickets are sold out
That's really incredible
and we should be thankful
Thank you
We won't take this for granted
but be truly grateful
and work hard to offer
even more amazing concerts
Thank you
Thanks so much
Give them a big hand
We'll be coming back,
so look forward to having us
Let's take our picture
You'll be taking a short break
What do you want to do most?
Is there anything like that?
I want to go fishing with my dad
I want to travel and take photos
I'd take along any of our guys
I could just take JIN
- Like a kidnapping
- I'll go if you pay me
Really?
I'm moved
I'd love that
We spend too much time together
Let's have some alone time
This is fun
I ordered a bunch of stuff online
So I want to open up those parcels
Don't know what I'd do in Korea,
but I want drinks tonight
That would help me wind down
JIMIN!
Where's JIMIN? Huh?
Cheers!
I collected figurines for over a year
since I got a new studio
I need to finish up displaying them
so I want to hurry home for that
I'd like to take some time off
at my parent's house
I could play with the dog
and enjoy home-cooked meals
I was going to bike across the country
I wanted someone to join
Would your groin be okay?
I bought saddle pads
Doing that would be relaxing
It'd be nice to have
that kind of peace of mind
My body and mind is aching for
that kind of good cheer
Great job, guys
We're about 80 percent through
Enjoy your meal
Great job, everyone
The third one, get in position
Our third dance
g*n, aim, and sh**t
Off to the dome, let's go
We came to practice one song?
Yeah, now off to Kyocera Dome
You guys, we work this hard
Just to brush up our opening song
I wonder how big it is
I wonder how big the dome is
Can't wait to see it
We're at the dome
It's my first time here
Gocheok Dome is actually...
It's a semi-dome with
30,000 to 40,000 seats
So this is my first time
at a full-sized dome
Wow, this place is huge
Can't we set up seven stages here
and hold each of our concerts?
That could work
A dome concert is such
a dream if you're a singer
I want to be at one
and hold a concert there
I'm sure I'd be great on stage
That's what I used to think
So this dome setting was
an absolute dream for me
During meetings,
we talked about the dome
And we talked about it
among ourselves
Something of a goal...
Anyways, that's what it was
What we said we'd do,
the ambitions we all shared
are coming true one at a time
I find that really amazing
At this time, everything that
we dreamed of is coming true
Now we're thinking of
what we can work towards
to receive such big love
That's on our mind
and it's quite a pressure
If the PA is okay with it,
we can try it out a few times
This is the biggest space
we ever had for our concert,
but we had the least chance
to monitor our work
The problem is, there's too much
energy for some songs
For "LOST" there's too much echo
Asking for this and that now
won't be solving any problems
But if it goes like this at the concert,
we'd be facing big trouble
Whether we can overpower
the audience from this big stage...
Having that kind of energy
would really matter
But I don't think we're feeling ready
It baffles me every time
I don't get why all those people
give us so much love and support
I also wonder how far we can go
But there's this thing
I don't know why we get
such big love and support,
but we feel a greater
sense of responsibility
So with our own music
that truly belongs to BTS,
we want to put on a great
performance every time
We feel obliged like that
My hand prints weird
Press down hard
This is hard, so when you press down,
make sure your hand sinks in
I'll write J-HOPE
Wow, my hand is really small
Here, let me do it for you
That's not how
My hand print looks weird
What do you think is an ideal artist?
Would you like to become
such an artist?
I think an ideal artist...
The artists I knew in name
sent me tweets,
gave me their number,
and even asked to work together
I thought everything was so unreal
Compared to where I am now,
I still feel like I need work
On the other hand, I starting to worry
We're a funny group of guys,
I mean no one's perfect
We all have our faults
But I think that was to our advantage
The fact no one topped the rest
We talked our way out of fights
and things like that went well
I think that's why we're here
They show through
This came to mind
We can be happy for each other
If we weren't genuine,
pretending to act such a way,
we wouldn't be as appreciated
We always say this,
to our ARMY fans every time
There's just this one thing
That we'll be back with
an even better performance
Getting through one step at a time
We're more aware of that now
The scary thing about BTS is,
there is no limit to what we can do
I believe we have a long way to go
To be honest,
I can't see where we end
Whatever problem or issue we face,
we'll keep overcoming them
That's how I feel about us
In South America, J-HOPE is...
I'm J~
I'm J~
I didn't think it'd ever end
I was like, I'm finally home
That's what I thought
In various aspects, us guys
became more mature
and in a way, more awesome
Let's get through our last concert!
Let's do this
- Bangtan!
- Bangtan!
What we see from on stage
is something we won't ever forget
