07x03 - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Duke

Post by bunniefuu »

'Yee-haw!'

Reason the Dukes are
grinnin' like mule eating briars

is 'cause they're headin'
for the great Hazzard hayride.

And romance is in the air.

Come on, you two, who you're
gonna take to the hayride?

- No.
- If you don't tell me right..

- Wait, wait. I'm drivin'.
- Hey, Daisy, he's drivin'.

We're taking the
McCracken sisters, alright?

Oh, you are?

We ain't decided who's gonna
sit with Donna and Mary Lou, but..

- They're both pretty.
- You got that right.

- 'Hey, who you takin'?'
- 'None of your business.'

None of our business?

Ah, you'll see.
It'll be a surprise.

Oh, we can't stop for him now.
We're gonna miss the hayride.

- What do y'all think?
- 'Go for it.'

Now, when was the last
time y'all saw a car jump

through a truckload
of outhouses.

Whoo!

Yeah, city folks do miss a lot.

Enos, have you been
takin' Rosco pills?

Would you give us a ticket
for somethin' we didn't do?

Oh, shucks, no. I just
wanted Daisy to have these.

Enos! Oh, my Goodness!

- Thank you.
- What's the occasion?

Daisy's goin' on
the hayride with me.

I wanted her to have
somethin' as pretty as she is.

- Thank you.
- Thanks a lot, Enos.

I'll see y'all over
at Boar's Nest.

- Alright, bye-bye now.
- Bye.

Now, y'all pay attention

'cause we're fixin'
to get real scientific.

Now, that little old
vial contains a drug

that alters behavior
and personality.

Yes, it does.

It's part of a genetic
experiment at

Genetic Research
Incorporated by Dr. Debbie Davis.

Now, what that
stuff's supposed to do

is separate good from bad
genes and make folks better.

Howsoever, Dr. Debbie's
boss has just recalled her

to Atlanta to destroy
the chemicals.

'Cause the whole sh**t'
match is just too dangerous.

And they're drivin'
through Hazzard County.

Friends, them folks don't
know what danger really is.

You know, Flash, your
daddy could've taken

the prettiest girl in the
county on that hayride

but I decided to take you
velvet ears... muah, muah.

You're so good.

Oh. Oh!

I was afraid of that.

Dumped right into the
Hazzard pond and car wash.

Uh-huh. You ever notice how
them Dukes is drawn to trouble

like a crow to a cornfield?

You can stick 'em all
in the middle of a desert

and in no time at all you have
yourself a crisis. You would.

Well, open her up.

- 'I'll get a towel.'
- It's gonna be hot.

Oh, boy.

And I was worried about
him pourin' it into the General.

Well, it took ya long enough.

Bo, do your mouth a
favor and keep it shut.

Oh, yes, sir.

- Get in the car, will ya?
- Yeah, sure.

That stuff works fast, don't it?

Alright, I'll make the deposit.

- You case the bank.
- Okay.

Now, them two
fellas, Ben and Hurley

had been hittin' small
town Southern banks

for the past two years.

They was bound to show
up in Hazzard sooner or later.

Oh, heh heh, I'm
J.D. Hogg, president

owner and chief
operating officer

of this here bank.
Can I be of help to you?

Yes, sir. We'd like to
open a savings account.

I was just on my way
out, but alright, come on in.

You have to fill out a
card, don't you know?

Uh, there it is. Now, just
fill in all 'em empty spaces.

Uh, you gentlemen plannin' to do
some business here in Hazzard?

That's right, Mr. Hogg.

- Big business.
- Oh, big business!

Oh!

Really big business.

Well, if I can be of any help

don't forget J.D.
Hogg's the name.

- We'll sure remember that.
- With two G's.

Mr. Hogg, if you don't mind
I'd feel a lot more comfortable

if that money was restin'
easy back there in your safe.

Oh, uh, yeah. Money in the
safe. Yeah, I understand perfectly.

Happy to oblige.

Why don't we take it now?

Been doing things right is
why we've never been caught.

We'll knock it off
when Zeb gets here.

Alright, your money is safe
and sound just like you want it.

Take this card and
give it to the teller

and then you get your passbook.

I've gotta be on my way
because I'm the official starter

and driver of the annual
Hazzard hayride and I am late!

Just about now Luke was
startin' to get the full effect

of that mind-altering chemical.

'Will you all just hush.'

We are not going on this
hayride until Boss tells us to.

And he's not here yet.
Ain't that right, Flash?

Boy, I just love these
hayrides. Don't you, Luke?

I wish for once I can see you

without that silly
grin on your face.

Luke, I don't
believe you said that.

Now, you apologize.

I ain't apologizing to anybody.

Here's Boss now.

Blow that horn.

'Stop it!'

'Hold on!'

No, wait a minute!
Hold 'em horses!

Let's lay low and hang on.

Come on. Stop now.

Get 'em, Luke.

Whoa! Alright.

'Are you all alright?'

Nice going, Luke, I knew
you couldn't be all bad.

Yeah, forget about it.

It wouldn't happen
if I was a-drivin'.

Come on over here.
I wanna talk to you.

Luke, that was a mighty
brave thing you did.

Looked like somebody
had to do somethin'.

Seems like the local law's got
yellow streaks down their back.

What is eatin' you, Luke?

Ain't nothin' eatin' me,
Daisy. It's just the way I feel.

I don't know what
your problem is

but I ain't seen
you be this ornery.

I guess I'm just startin'
to realize what a joke

this whole town is
and all the people in it.

Golly, Luke, we've been good
buddies since I can remember.

I'd just like to shake your
hand and make things right.

Shucks, I know you
didn't mean what you said.

I'd like to shake your hand,
but I meant every word.

I oughta punch your
lights out for that.

You could try. You ain't had
a b*ating since you was little.

- Yeah, maybe you can do it now.
- Hey, wait a minute.

Didn't we make a deal
between ourselves never to fight?

Huh? Come on now. Come on.

Yeah, you're right, Daisy.
Look, look, I'm sorry, Luke.

- Just apologize to Enos, okay?
- It ain't gonna happen, Bo.

Now, you go on your
hayride and have a great time.

I'm gonna go find
myself some real fun.

As for you, fat man, you're the
biggest joke in this whole town.

- What?
- What?

What in the name
of nelly got into him?

How should I know
what got into him?

- But I'll tell you one thing.
- What?

Bear's watching.

So, Uncle Jesse, what
do you think we should do?

I don't know, Daisy.
I just don't know.

I've been through
everything with Luke.

And I've never heard
of him acting that way.

Well, there he is right now.

- Mr. Whipple gave him a ride.
- Alright.

Now, whatever was bothering
him, he might be over it by now

so let's just act like
nothing happened.

- Yes, sir.
- Be glad to see him.

- Hey, Luke.
- Hey, Luke.

- Hi.
- You made it.

Just in time too.

Lord, for this food
we're about to receive

we are truly..

Grateful.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

Uh, would you pass
the cornbread, Daisy?

Sure, Uncle Jessie.

This is disgusting.

You think one would
get somethin' decent

to eat around here.

- That tears it.
- Bo. Bo, Just wait...

Now, this time he's
gone too darn far.

Luke! You hold on just a second.

Daisy and me can take
what you been handin' out

but you cannot talk to
Uncle Jesse that way.

Let me give you some
advice. Stay out of my business.

Or you're gonna be breathing
from between your ears.

Luke..

He's in no shape to be runnin'
around in that General Lee.

- You gotta go get him, Bo.
- I ain't gotta do nothing.

If you want me to, I will.

I want you to.

Yes, sir.

You hang in there, baby.

We've been through worse times.

Never like this, Uncle Jesse.

Never like this.

Luke, you pull
over. We gotta talk.

Sure, cousin, I'll pull over.

Friends, now they've
had squabbles before

but this looks serious.

You don't know where
you lost that vial, huh?

No, Mr. Adams,
I'm sorry, we don't.

If someone were to consume it,
how long would he be affected?

Anywhere from to hours.

- Uh, look, if we backtrack...
- That might arouse suspicion.

Dr. Davis we're not gonna
tell anybody anything about this.

- 'Do I make myself clear?'
- We're gonna stonewall this?

Under the circumstances, I don't
see we have any other choice.

Anymore bad news like
the press findin' out we were

in any way... careless with
genetic-altering chemicals..

Then we'd be ruined.

The ruination had done started.

Poor Luke was a victim.

'Private property, eh?'

Things was getting mighty testy.

Neighbor Angus Philpot wouldn't
have thought much about it.

Luke was being chased
like usual, but Luke wasn't.

And since Luke had also
ruined Minny's washing

Angus called the law.

Alright, alright. Don't
you worry about it, Angus.

No, listen, I'll have the
sheriff go after Luke Duke

and full restitution
will be made to you.

I promise you.
Yeah, over and out.

- Did you hear that, Rosco?
- What?

Luke Duke actin' up again.

You know what Alice said to
the rabbit after she followed him

'down that little
hole in the ground?'

This gets curioser and curioser.

You know Alice following that
rabbit down the hole like that.

'Now, that is sick.'

If she's talking to animals,
she really needs help.

Then, you need help. You're
always talking to animals.

- Who?
- You're talking to Flash.

I resent the fact that
you call Flash an animal.

Huh? I didn't talk,
well, I don't know what..

I don't wanna talk
about Flash anymore.

Listen, I'm concerned
here about Luke Duke.

Don't you worry
your fat little head.

I'll cuff and stuff
him in post haste.

Or is it haste po...

- Arrest him.
- Let me make a bull's eye.

- Alright.
- Okay, watch this.

- I'm watching.
- It's all in the wrist.

Just do it and go!

- What did you do to me?
- Oh, listen, I'm sorry.

Before you
busted at first, you..

- You still here?
- Yes.

Go, would you?!
After him! After him!

- Sorry about that.
- Go on here.

And don't come back too soon.

Y'all remember them
two bank robbers

that's fixin' to rob
the Hazzard Bank?

Well, they're waitin' for Zeb,
their wheelman, to come.

And, uh, oh, there's Zeb now.

Now, y'all kinda
keep track of old Zeb

'cause he's awful important
to what's about to transpire.

Hey, Big H, this is Z.

I'm in Hazzard county
now, so I should be

at checkpoint Charlie in
about minutes. Do you read?

We got you.

There's one more thing we
gotta do before Zeb gets here.

We gotta go up to Eagle Pass.

I want a look at the
roads we're gonna take

after we bust
that bank. Alright?

Sounds like these boys have
had some serious training.

I tell you, Uncle Jesse,
we gotta do somethin'.

The way Luke's acting, no
telling what he's gonna do next.

We know there's somethin'
terribly wrong with Luke.

But we don't know what it is.

So when you got
a situation like that..

You go see the
man that does know.

You do, don't you? Doc Appleby.

- That's right.
- Yeah.

You need your hat, Uncle Jesse.

Thank you.

Ben and Hurley was just
lookin' over their escape route.

But they were about
to see somethin'

that really caught their eye.

Velvet ears, Luke Duke can't
hide from your daddy forever

can he?

'Oh, oh, oh! See there?'

There he is.

Good news, good news.

I'm gonna enjoy this.

Hot pursuit.

I love it. I love it.

Now they was doing
a land-office business

in the outhouses that
day. They'd sold three.

But the outhouse industry
ain't as easy as it looks.

I bet he ain't gonna try that.

Hang on. Ooh! Ooh!

Oh, you alright, velvet ears?

Oh, that was
horrendous. Muah. Oh.

Fella in that orange car.

I ain't seen anyone
handle a wheel like that.

Oh, forget him, Hurley,
we got Zeb, remember?

Yeah, right, Zeb.

Well, what do you think, Doc?

Well, from what
y'all been telling me

Luke's personality has been
completely altered somehow

and that's for sure

- But how?
- Well, it's hard to say, Daisy.

A person gets bit with a
poisonous snake or a spider

he acts strange, even erratic.

Well, can you doctor
somethin' like that?

Not without knowin'
what did the bitin'.

Does this mean Luke could die?

Daisy, poison don't always k*ll.

Well, what we better do is
find Luke and get him here

for you to look at him.

Yes, and the sooner, the
better, providing it was a bite.

- I'm sorry, Jesse.
- Ain't no sorrier than we are.

- We'll find him, doc.
- Thanks a lot.

'Come on. kids.'

Whoa!

- You, alright, sir?
- 'I reckon so, yes.'

Now, right here, the
buttermilk is about to clot.

Old eagle-eyed Enos spotted
somethin' about that car

that he didn't like.

Excuse me, sir.

I'm sorry, you're under
arrest. That's a stolen car.

Well, I-I just bought it from
a dealer over in Capitol City.

Suppose you and me go back,
let the police straighten this out?

Why, sure. Sure.

My big brother's
expectin' me for dinner.

Could I maybe just CB
him, tell him I'll be late?

Yes, sir, I'll let you do that.

Just keep your hands
where I can see 'em now.

Breaker, breaker.

Big brother, this is Z, I'm
gonna be late for dinner.

I got a stolen car
on my hands here.

Meanwhile, Bo,
Daisy and Uncle Jesse

weren't havin' any
luck at all findin' Luke.

So they stopped
off at the Boar's Nest

hopin' somebody had seen him.

Boss was having a snack.
Two pounds of big weenies.

Rosco!

Oh.

Listen, if you went
after Luke Duke

like you go after my food,
you'd have him long gone

in the hoosegow by
now, you know that?

Hey, Rosco, J.D.,
we're lookin' for Luke.

Oh, oh, you're lookin'
for Luke, are ya?

Well, ain't that a
coincidence, Jesse?

On account of my sheriff
here is looking for him too.

That's right because he
just tore up Angus Philpot's

property with that orange
clunker car of yours.

He did what?

- He just tore up...
- You heard!

He heard you!

Listen, somethin'
mighty curious is goin' on

with that nephew of yours.

You Dukes better
just tell me what it is.

- Well, we don't rightly know...
- Uncle Jesse.

I think I'll just cuff
and stuff that...

Dah-dah-dah. Just let him be.

The way Luke's
been acting lately

maybe you can pick him up
for somethin' really serious.

Luke, you gotta come
with us right away.

We're goin' over
to see Doc Appleby.

What're you talkin' about?

If he can get a good look at you

maybe he can tell us why
you're acting so strange.

He thinks you been bit by a
spider or a snake or somethin'.

I ain't been bit by nothin'.

Now, why don't the three
of you just leave me alone?

- Hey, Sarah.
- Hi.

How'd you like to go for
a ride in the General Lee?

- I don't think so.
- Playin' hard to get, huh?

- Come on, I know you better.
- Luke. Come on now.

- You can't treat her..
- Bo!

I told you to leave me alone.

Get some ice.

Come on, come on, come on.

This is turnin' out to be
interestinger and interestinger.

You know we can take that
bank without Zeb's driving.

Yeah, could be, but
we ain't gonna try it.

On second thought
maybe we are. Come on.

Say there.

I saw you drivin' this
orange car this morning.

- You're a first-grade wheelman.
- Best around these parts.

If you could use money,
we could use a driver.

Money's what life's
all about, ain't it?

Yeah, well supposin'
what we got in mind, uh..

Ain't exactly legal?

Less legal, the more money.

Of course, all I
heard so far is talk.

- Can you hear 'em?
- No.

- Dang blast it!
- Oh, good grief.

I wish they'd talk
up. I hate mumblers.

Ben, give that man $ .

Give the man $ .

What this is is holdin' money.

- There's gonna be plenty more.
- How much more?

We're staying at the old
shack at end of Cotton Lane.

We'll discuss it there.

After Ben and me
get somethin' to eat.

- I'll be there.
- Right.

Alright. They're
up to somethin'.

You must be crazy makin' a
deal like that with a stranger.

Did you see the
look in his eyes?

He's angry and he's greedy
and best of all, he's local.

Come on, man, don't you get it?

We take the bank,
he takes the heat.

Yeah, right. Come on. I worked
myself up quite an appetite.

Why did he give
that money to Luke?

How should I know?

- But I'll tell you what.
- What?

The minute them two jokers
leave here, you follow 'em.

You find out why they
gave that money to Luke.

Oh, good. good. good.
I'm good at hot pursuit.

I tell you, police
work is my life.

He's here, Uncle Jesse.
I got me a score to settle.

Bo, you just wait a minute
now. Bo, come here.

'Now, I know Luke's
been actin' up lately'

but you fightin' him ain't
gonna help matters none.

We're family, so it's
up to us to figure out

what's hurtin' him and try
to help him. You got that?

Yes, sir.

Remember it.

Luke, you ain't plannin'
on going anywhere, are ya?

You're dang right I am.
And I hate long goodbyes.

Hold on a second.

You forgetting half
this car belongs to me?

I just bought out your half.

Luke.

Please, don't do this.

Besides, you got an
interest in this farm.

You're wrong. I ain't got
no interest in this farm.

This place don't grow
nothin', but rocks and weeds.

Come tomorrow, I'll
be able to buy farms

better than this one.

Bye.

Luke couldn't have
hurt his family any more

than if he'd have studied on it.

I ain't ever seen the
Dukes in this big a mess.

- I'm goin' after him.
- This time we're all goin'.

Well, y'all better get in
and put your seatbelts on.

Some folks gotta learn
the hard way, don't they?

What's he doing?
He's runnin' crazy.

Bo, look out!

sh**t. We ain't never gonna
find out what's wrong with Luke.

- Or what he's up to.
- Or where he got that money.

Doesn't worry me as much
as where he plans to get more.

Where was it he first
started actin' strange?

- It was on that dang hayride.
- No, Bo. It was before that.

Remember at the pond when
he got water for the radiator?

- That's where we start lookin'.
- What're we gonna look for?

I don't know, but it
sure beats sittin' here

waitin' for somethin'
bad to happen.

Meanwhile, followin' Boss's
orders, Rosco trailed 'em

two dudes back to their cabin.

Police work's
my life. I love this.

That's it. I know where the..

What fool would leave
that laying around.

Are you sure about this?

Look... once we knock
off Hogg's bank tomorrow

we jump in that orange
car and we take off.

We'll be out of Hazzard
before they know what hit 'em.

Oh, Boss'll be
glad to hear that.

A Duke involved.

Then once we're out of
Hazzard, we leave that Duke boy

for the law to pick up.

Meanwhile, Bo, Daisy and Jesse

was lookin' around the pond area

hopin' to find somethin'
that might give them a clue

to Luke's strange and
dangerous behavior.

- Uncle Jesse, Bo, look at this.
- What is it?

Genetic Research
Corporation, Atlanta?

Whew! Boy, it sure smells funny.

What do you make of that?

Well, I suppose
whatever was in this glass

got in the water.

Luke could've
taken a drink of that

when he was filling
that jug to fill the radiator.

- That's right.
- Genetics.

That's something to do with the
functioning of the human body.

Now, if you're right, Bo, and
Luke did get a swig of this...

Ain't we doin' a lot of
supposin' here, Uncle Jesse?

Maybe, but it's the only
thing we got to go on now.

Why don't we see what
this Genetic Research Corp

has got to say over in Atlanta?

Alright.

Your cut ought to
come to about $ ,

how's that grab you?

I don't know what
I'm gonna enjoy more.

Havin' all that money or
seein' the look on Hogg's face

when we take it away from him.

Yeah, well, you know how
to use one of these things?

Sure do. Haven't had one in
my hands since the marines.

Go out back and
practice up a little bit.

I thought he was only
gonna do the drivin'.

Use your head, will ya?

Now, if we hit that
bank and dump him

I want the fuzz to catch
him with a g*n in his hand.

That way he can't come
lookin' for us for years.

- That's it. That's it.
- Argh!

- I bet you're wore to a nub.
- Yeah, I sure am.

You haven't done
anything but eat

since I told you what I heard.

I know that, Rosco,
and I'll tell ya something.

There's even more satisfyin'
things in life than eatin'.

- What?
- Puttin' Luke behind bars.

Oh, at least, and
Rosco P. Coltrane

is just the man to capture
him and put him there.

You ain't gonna be the
one who'll capture him.

- I ain't?
- Oh, no, siree, Bob.

The FBI is gonna
capture him. Yeah.

- After they rob the bank!
- After they rob...

Yeah. You see, I'm
gonna put a spy camera

with a video recorder
in the middle of the bank.

And that's gonna give me
the prima facie evidence!

Oh, the prima fucie.. Whatever.

- And then..
- Yeah.

- Then after they pull the job..
- What?

You'll just take the
tape to the FBI in Atlanta.

Oh, that's smart.

Well, here's another
first in Hazzard County.

Luke Duke holdin' a
g*n, fixin' to rob a bank.

It's a bad day in Hazzard.

While Luke was
firin' that p*stol of his

Bo, Daisy and Jesse
was up in Atlanta

f*ring questions at Dr. Davis.

After tellin' her about
what had happened to Luke.

What we'd like to know is
how did this get into Hazzard

and what was in
it in the first place?

As I said, Mr. Duke, I have no
idea how that got into Hazzard

or what was in it.

Now, I'm sorry, but
I, I just can't help you.

Can't or won't?

Look, miss, Dr. Davis
is a busy lady

and you all are
wastin' a lot of her time.

- Just a minute, young man.
- This happened to somebody...

Hey, Daisy. Now,
hold on a second.

Uncle Jesse. I'm
sure the man's right.

If the doctor could
help us, she would.

Let's just get on back to
town and try somethin' else.

It's alright, Uncle Jesse.

Thanks for your time, doc.

I just got the strongest
feelin' that doctor's lyin'.

- Yeah, I got the same feelin'.
- But feelin' ain't proof.

Uncle Jesse, now, wait a minute.

They gotta keep records
in that building, right?

Why don't we wait till after it
gets dark and go take a look.

Oh, no, Bo, that would
be against the law.

I know it is, Uncle Jesse, but..

sh**t, don't you think we
can bend the law just this once?

Seein' as how Luke's
life depends on it?

Well, it won't be
dark for a while.

- That means yes.
- Yeah.

Back in Hazzard
Boss was preparin'

for his television trap of
Luke Duke robbin' his bank.

Boys, I wanna
thank you for doin'

a first-class job on
that TV tape machine.

Now, there's your check.

Thank you very much.
All the best to you.

Velvet ears, look up there.
See that little box up there?

Rosco, what do you
think you're doing?

Oh, well, I'm helping Flash
with her television debut.

- Smile and say doggy num-nums.
- Ah!

Jesse didn't have much
stomach for violatin' the law

but he knew he had to find
out what happened to Luke.

- It's all clear.
- It sure is.

You know, the Dukes are
a little out of their pasture

when it comes to
breaking in. In the big city.

And I figure it's
gonna catch up to 'em.

Whew.

- There's the files.
- Yeah.

So this is what's
wrong with Luke.

I tell you, there ought
to be a law against this.

There is a law against
breaking and entering.

- Uncle Jesse.
- Yeah.

You gotta explain or we're
gonna have to go to the law

and they can tell us
who's been breaking it.

While the doctor
was telling the Dukes

about Luke's condition

Boss and Rosco was
working on Boss' plan.

Oh, for goodness sake!

Come on. Here.

- Start cuttin' this.
- Oh, well, good grief.

I'll put these in here.

So although there
is no known antidote

I can tell you this the chemical
should pass through his body

within hours.

Well, that means Luke's not
gonna be really okay until..

: tomorrow morning.

There's no telling what could
happen between now and then.

If you could find him, stay with
him till the chemical wears off.

That way there
should be no problems.

Lady, you better
hope there's no trouble.

- Let's get back to the farm.
- Yeah.

We got some busy looking to do.

We could start over
at the poker place.

Next morning, while
Hurley, Ben and Luke

were startin' for town
to rob old Boss' bank

and Boss and Rosco was
gettin' ready for the robbery

Bo, Daisy and Jesse
were still lookin' for Luke.

- Hey, Enos!
- Hi, Enos.

- Oh, hi, y'all.
- Hey, Enos.

We're looking for Luke. Have
you seen him around anywhere?

No, sir, I ain't seen
him. I hope he's alright.

Hey, did y'all hear
about me catching..

When they found old Enos,
he told 'em about capturin'

a bank-robbin'
wheelman named Zeb.

And also what he'd heard
about Boss's installing his camera.

Mr. Hogg even told
me to take the day off.

- But he put in cameras, huh?
- Yes, sir. He sure did.

- Take the day off?
- Come on.

- Uh, happy fishin', Enos.
- Yeah.

- You drive, Bo.
- Alright.

If J.D.'s put in some cameras

that means he's
expectin' to be robbed.

And since he gave Enos the
day off today, it's gotta be today.

Where the heck is Luke gonna
get enough money to buy farms?

- Boss Hogg's Bank!
- J.D.'s bank! Let's go!

There he is!

Look, he's got two men with him.

Hold tight, y'all.

Now, I don't know
how long that pipe is

but that old boy
better get a move on.

- The window!
- Alright, man.

- Lord, have mercy.
- Oh.

- sh**t.
- That's not gonna do no good.

I know it ain't, Uncle Jesse.
We don't have a spare tire.

It'll be too late for
Luke before it is fixed.

Well, somebody do something!

Wait, I think somebody just did.

- Hey, y'all, can I help out?
- You sure can. Can I drive?

- But this is a county vehicle.
- It's an emergency.

I'll tell you all about it
on the way into town.

- We'll follow you.
- Yes, sir.

- Take care.
- Bye, Daisy.

Enos, listen. Luke didn't
mean none of that stuff he said.

He drank some bad water.
He's been acting strange.

I think he's on the
way to rob the bank.

We gotta stop him
before he gets to that bank.

Here comes Luke Duke now

takin' his first step
leadin' to the penitentiary.

The bank should be
open in just about an hour.

Hey.

We don't want no sh**t'.

Well, that's purely upto
Boss Hogg now, ain't it?

Alright, baby, you drive
and don't spare the horse.

Okay.

Jesse and Daisy
were back in action

but so were Hurley,
Ben and Luke.

- Alright, Hogg, stickup.
- Stickup!

Oh, goodness gracious
sakes alive, boys.

Listen, I was just about to
deliver this money to Atlanta.

You deliver it to us, fat man.

Luke Duke.

- Is that really you?
- 'Quit stalling, Hogg.'

This is all the money
I got in the bank.

Besides it ain't even mine.

It belongs to all them
poor widows and orphans.

Boss, shut up and
give us some money.

Yeah, but.. Yeah, but..

Yeah, but..

You dodo, come on, come on.

You know, you look like a
little fat marshmallow on there.

- There it is.
- There it is. The tape!

Now, I want you
to take this tape

to the FBI in Atlanta,
just like I told you.

'Looks like we're too late, Bo.'

Not if we can get them
before they get out of town.

See, I got it. I got it.

Velvet ears, scoot over, buddy.

Good, that's it. Let daddy in.

Oh, this is marvelous.

Alright.

- 'The law's on our tail.'
- 'Alright, Duke.'

- Do your thing.
- You got it.

Hang on, Enos.

Watch it!

Rosco.

Rosco, we're-we're
sorry about that.

- Yeah.
- You're sorry?

You done scuffed the
mains on Flash's ears!

See what I got? I got
a tape of Luke Duke

holdin' up Boss'
bank by gunpoint.

And I'm takin' it to
the FBI in Atlanta.

- So out of my way, riffraff!
- Wait a minute, Rosco.

Hush! I do not consort with
relatives of known criminals.

Rosco, we wanted to..

- We gotta stop Rosco.
- How're we gonna do that?

I don't know, we're
gonna stop him

and we're gonna explain to
him why Luke did what he did

and then we're gonna
pray that his better nature

will come out some way.

'I remember back in , he
did a nice thing for somebody'

'and he may just do it again.'

Daisy took a shortcut
and caught up to Rosco.

The trick now was,
he got the tape.

- 'Oh!'
- Rosco.

I'm sorry about that, Rosco.

This here's gettin'
to be a habit.

Well, I had to
get your attention.

We've done a lot of favors for
you over the years, haven't we?

- Well..
- Well, haven't we?

Well, it's just...

I'm asking you
for one little favor

and that is to
listen to us explain

why Luke robbed that bank.

If you listen to our story

and still feel that you gotta
take that tape to the FBI

we won't do nothing to stop ya.

Well, I'll tell you somethin'.
It ain't gonna do no good.

Because no matter
what you tell me

neither rain nor sleet or a
whole basket of mellow muffins

'is not gonna stop me
on my appointed task.'

And that is taking this tape
to the FB and I in Atlanta.

In fact, I'm gonna put
this in the backseat

where my watchdog,
Flash, will guard it.

Now stick your hand in there
and you'll bring back a nub.

- Good dog.
- Here's what happened.

You see, the kids was
up by Lake Mulman.

- Oh.
- And the General ran out of...

Is this a long story?

Once they make it
to the county line...

Yeah, I know, I know

but the only chance
we got is go up there

and cut down Hangman's Hill.

Hang on, Enos.

If Luke passes that old truck

he'll make it to the
county line for sure.

Not if we pass him first.

Hang on, Enos.

Whoa!

Just stay here, Duke.
We'll take care of these two.

Alright, Enos, you
know what to do.

I got you, Bo.

- Hold onto 'em, Enos.
- I got 'em, Bo.

Alright there, Bo.

You don't wanna use that g*n.

You're dead wrong about that.

If I don't stop this right here

you're gonna spend the
rest of your days behind bars.

I really don't think
you wanna do that.

Cousin, this here
is for your own good.

You're under
arrest! Hold it now.

Aah!

What's going on?

What are we doing down here?

Who the heck b*at..

You... you did.

Are y'all alright down there?

Yeah.

Enos, we're fine.

Luke's back to his old self.

Why don't you take
them two fellas in.

- I'll take him home myself.
- Alright.

That's great. Ha-ha.
Come on, fellas.

So you see, Rosco, that's
why Luke did what he did.

Oh, Jesse, that is
the biggest bunch

of malarkey I've
ever heard in my life.

I don't buy that story any
more than I buy the story

that Boss tries to sell me
about that monster that goes

"Fee, fi, fo, fum."

And that goose that
lays a golden egg.

It don't lay no
golden egg.. Does it?

Well, it doesn't make
any difference anyway

because I've got the tape
and I'm taking it to Atlanta.

That's it right... here.

Flash just ate the
tape, Uncle Jesse!

- Oh, Lord.
- Good dog!

Sometimes the lord answers
your prayers in strange ways.

- I did all of that?
- Yeah, you did.

Matter of fact, I'd say you
got about a week's worth

of apologizing to do.

Come on, fellas.
Easy does it, now.

While the Hazzard
pond was being repurified

Ben and Hurley was
being remanded to custody

for all the banks that
they'd been holdin' up.

Bo, Enos and Luke convinced Boss

that he had no case
at all against Luke.

Flash had chewed up his evidence

no real money had been
stolen and if it came to court

old Boss himself would
be tried for conspiracy.

Being himself again

Luke apologized to
everyone that he had insulted.

And folks forgave him,
friends and family alike

which probably is
one of the best things

Hazzard County has going for it.

To Luke Duke. Welcome back.

It's good to be here.
