- Oh, Emma, watch out.

Don'’t trip and cast a spell in plain daylight.

- Whoops! - [gasping]

Ow.

Oh...

- Emma!

- I didn'’t do it!

I promise, I know it looks like I did, but--

- That'’s it.

That is the last straw.

What?

No, I didn'’t do it!

- Magic.

Now for the fireworks.

- You are very lucky that no one else saw what you did.

- Well, what I didn'’t do!

- Well, if you didn'’t do it, then who did?

Hm?

- Maybe it was Maddie.

She'’s always trying to frame me and--

- The liberator of the council?

She'’s not even here.

- That'’s a real thing?

- Of course not. Don'’t be silly.

But she seems to like it and she did save us.

- This is crazy-- I'’m innocent!

- Now why should I believe you?

You have been using magic all summer--

- No-- I-I haven'’t.

- [zapping]

- Do you record everything I do?

- Not everything.

Bathrooms are off limits.

Do you need to see more?

- That'’s okay. - [zapping]

- Um.

Yeah.

I see how that can look like I overuse my powers

or you can see it as me practicing.

- You are undisciplined and reckless.

You need to shape up.

And I know exactly where you need to go.

- Wait, I'’m in the middle of my work--

JAX: Hey!

Watch it!

Emma.

What are you doing here?

- Jax?

- Emma, what are you doing here?

- I don'’t know.

Where are--

Oh, no.

This is... boot camp?

Desdemona sent me to rebels boot camp?

- What'’s left of it.

Half of us got sent home.

Stripped of our powers.

- But you'’re still here.

- Only hanging on by my fingertips.

There'’s only a week left.

What are you doing here?

- Desdemona accused me of public spell casting.

And I guess this is my punishment.

- Did you?

- No!

Okay, yes, all summer.

But I can'’t be here.

- Don'’t worry.

There'’s only a week left.

- I can'’t stay.

It'’s my dad'’s birthday.

I'’m organizing a party and--

- Oh.

- It'’s small.

Just me and Dad and-- - Don'’t sweat it.

I mean, we hardly saw each other, so--

- Mr. Novoa!

You'’re not finished with the spells of the day.

What are you waiting for?

Oh, look who'’s decided to join us!

Ha ha ha!

- Aggie, I was unfairly--

If life were fair, everyone would be able to do this.

Well done, Mr. Novoa!

What are you waiting for?

Now!

- Three smoothies, two empanadas.

Gigi!

Where is she?

- Mm, empanadas are good.

Great. Now I have to start over.

And shower.

You'’re covered in blueberries.

- He'’s Proxy-licious. [giggling]

- Emma and I aren'’t that--

- Nauseating? Worse.

I can'’t handle all these orders by myself.

DANIEL: I don'’t know,

I came here to look for her for our lunch break.

- Well, she disappeared.

- That'’s weird.

- Whoa, what happened here?

- Oh, we got hit by a smoothi-nado.

DANIEL: Hey, Mia.

What are you doing here?

- Came back to thank you.

I brought you some cookies.

Oatmeal.

- My favorite.

- I know-- I mean, mine too.

And I brought you my toolbox to help you fix Cruise Lightning.

- Ooh!

Is that a PX hydraulic bearing puller?

- Yep.

- This tool won Tool of the Month three times in a row!

- Emma, when you get this message, call me please.

You'’re covering for Emma today.

- What? Why?

- I'’ve been preparing my whole life for this moment.

- This is the pool.

Hey, T.

These are my cousins, Hector and Oscar.

- Hey. - Hi.

- Nice to meet you.

- Whoa--That'’s a lot of stuff.

What'’s this?

- Sunscreen. - [scoffing] Sure.

The label may say sunscreen,

but I bet you when I squeeze it, it--

- Hey!

I need that for my delicate porcelain skin.

- I'’ll go get you another bottle.

End of the week the latest.

- Yeah, try telling that to Emma.

It'’s her dad'’s birthday today.

- The Chosen One needs to learn how to control her powers.

- Hey, look, I'’m telling you.

Emma did not make that tray float.

She wouldn'’t do something so obvious.

Come on, it'’s a slow news day.

DIEGO: Gigi! - Be a pal.

- For now.

- What do you mean?

Emma'’s the most powerful witch there is.

If she can'’t control her powers--

- But you'’re her Guardian.

- There'’s only so much I can do.

Can'’t control her, Daniel.

- You don'’t know Emma like I do.

She'’s amazing.

And she'’ll be the best Chosen One the realm has ever had.

- [laughing]

JAX: [grunting] I...can'’t...

I can'’t hold it much longer.

Emma, teletransport out of here.

Do it! - [whimpering]

- [laughing]

- Emma!

You went too far!

- No!

I didn'’t.

Perhaps you didn'’t go far enough

and dropped the ball, so to speak?

[laughing]

Back to work, witches!

- That was not fun.

Agamemnon?

Is this another test?

Where am I?

- [straining] Must...resist.

Rob, are you okay?

- No.

I saw a rubber hose and some applesauce--

- And it might be a k*ller trap for--

- Don'’t say it!

- Get in the pool!

Water will make you forget

all the soap we could dump into the pool!

- Let'’s change the subject.

We promised Mom.

- Let'’s go kayaking.

In the pool!

- I like that.

It'’s close to a prank as we'’re getting this summer.

- You haven'’t finished your SODs, Mr. Novoa.

Get up.

You shouldn'’t have done that.

Emma really could have been hurt.

- [scoffing] You would have allowed a ton of rubber

to fall on her before she disappeared?

- Never.

- Well, there you are.

No harm, no foul.

- You had no right to put me in that position.

She really could have been hurt.

- Don'’t forget who you'’re talking to!

I'’m a member of the council and I can take away your powers

and hers whenever I choose.

- Can you take hers?

Because she'’s getting stronger and stronger.

- I'’ve had just about enough of you, Mr. Novoa.

Go chew on a shoe. [laughs]

Get to work!

JAX: Emma!

You'’re okay.

- Oh, no.

JAX: Wait, Emma, it'’s me. Wait up!

- Three, two and one.

Your shift is over.

Thank you so much, Mia.

We really owe you one.

- Well, I do need

a new pair of rollerblades and some headphones.

Just kidding.

- And here are your tools.

They worked like a charm.

- You can borrow them anytime.

- Hey, Andi. Mia.

- Did you find your girlfriend?

- Yeah, she was sent to--

I mean, uh, she was sent home.

She wasn'’t feeling well.

- And didn'’t tell anyone?

- Oh, she told me.

But I forgot.

I have a really bad memory.

Like, a, like a--what'’s the opposite of an elephant?

- Ant.

Andi has the memory of an ant.

- All right, you guys are just weird.

- Yep. That'’s us!

Well, we gotta go.

Daniel, do not be late to Mr. Alonso'’s birthday

in case we have to cover for Emma.

- Wait, isn'’t she at home, sick?

- She'’s at my house.

My dad'’s a neurosurgeon.

- She'’s that sick?

- Well, no, no--

You know, he also treats colds and stuff--

Oh, look at the time. We gotta go.

- I gotta go too.

See you-- Thanks again, Mia!

- Stay back.

Or I'’ll...

Or I'’ll turn you into a harmless fly.

Jax?

Oh!

Was that the test?

That wasn'’t so bad.

All I had to do was get over my fear and recognize you.

- It wasn'’t.

I expect more from Agamemnon.

I wish I hadn'’t said that.

Oh, why a bird?

[thudding]

- Emma?

It'’s Mrs. Van Pelt. Again.

So, we still haven'’t gotten our invitations

for Francisco'’s party, but I don'’t want you to worry.

We will definitely be there, okay?

Ciao, ciao, ciao.

- Hey, Mrs. Van Pelt.

- Oh.

It'’s you.

- I work here. Remember?

My parents own the place?

- [mockingly] Meow meow meow.

Meow meow meow meow meow.

- Nice to see you too.

- Hey! Watch it!

I just got my hair done.

- Sorry, Mrs. Van Pelt.

- Hey, what'’s that hose doing there?

- Oh no!

- [screams]

- T!

- It wasn'’t us!

- I recognize that hose and you need to apologize immediately.

- I'’m sorry, Miss Miller, you know I like the T,

but I can'’t have them here.

MRS. MILLER: Oh, absolutely. They should not be here.

You'’re gonna go right now. Pack up your things.

Take a good look around here

because it'’s the last time you'’re gonna see it this summer.

- I am so sorry.

It'’s the T.

They'’ve been banned.

- It'’s fine. It'’s fine.

It'’s just a little water.

- [frustrated grunt]

- So, um, how do you know that T did it?

- Because they'’re the best pranksters in town.

BOTH: Not anymore!

EMMA: Come on, Jax.

Wake up and get past your fear.

You can do this.

Don'’t panic, it'’s me!

- Get away from me!

Get away from me!

I know it'’s you, Emma.

I said your name.

Why aren'’t you changing back to Emma?

[calmly] Emma.

- You did it!

[doorbell ringing]

- I got it.

- Oooh, wait--don'’t open that door.

What if it'’s Mr. Alonso?

Then we'’d ruin the surprise.

- Why would he ring the doorbell?

It'’s his house.

- Right.

Right.

It'’s probably just--

Maddie and Ursula?

Did you know Emma invited them?

- [excited] It'’s Francisco'’s house!

- Are you even allowed to be here?

- Yes!

Of course I am.

That, that restraining order,

that was just, it was just...

for days.

Where'’s Francisco?

- Not here.

- Oh.

- Where'’s Emma? Is she late?

Is there even cake?

- Everything'’s okay. I'’m making the cake.

- Oh, well, Francisky Winky

likes vanilla anchovy sponge cake.

Can you make that?

- Where'’s Proxy?

- He'’s not invited.

- Why wouldn'’t you invite him?

- Um, because it'’s Mr. Alonso'’s birthday party

and not my house.

Plus, we didn'’t invite Katie or--

- Ha, we'’re here.

- Surprise!

[grunting] - Not yet.

I'’ll let you know when.

- Why are they here?

- Andi, help! The mixer won'’t work!

- I invited them, of course.

[girls giggling]

I'’ll text Proxy and invite them right now.

And you better hope he gets here on time for the surprise.

- Surprise! [straining]

- Not yet, not yet.

- Emma didn'’t say you could invite anyone else.

- Whoa, whoa, whoa, what'’s going on here?

- A-ha.

Works better when you plug it in.

[mixer whirring suddenly]

- Finally, we can go home.

- No, wait.

"Emma and Jax, finish the SOD before going home."

- What? No!

I'’m already late!

- We have to.

- No way--I'’m not doing any more.

I'’m not missing my dad'’s party for this.

- Where are you going?

- To find a way out of here.

- There'’s no point.

You'’re wasting your time.

Agamemnon has to let us go.

- Where do you sleep?

- The barracks.

- Uh-uh. I'’m leaving.

- Emma.

This is a bad idea.

If Agamemnon catches us, we can kiss our powers good-bye.

- You can stay.

But I can'’t do this to my dad.

- Emma, don'’t do it!

Listen to me!

Emma!

[frustrated grunt]

- Where are we?

Is this the cafeteria?

I was trying to tell you

that the emergency exit leads to Iridium High.

- Great. I'’m closer to home.

Now let'’s go before Agamemnon--

- Before Agamemnon what?

Gets a snack?

Or finds the two rogue rebels running about?

Boom.

Got you.
