Aaaaa!

Teddy, you scared me!

-You scared me.

Oh, but I'm sorry.

-So am I.

-Uh, where did
that leaf come from?

-Oh, from the tree.

Teddy?

I thought trees were supposed to
grow leaves, not throw leaves.

-Wheeeee.

-Wheee!

-Caillou and Rosie
were having so much fun

they didn't even
notice that their Mommy and
Daddy were watching them.

-Caillou. Rosie.

-Well, it looks like
you two are having fun.

-Daddy, Mommy,
come play with us.

-Daddy!

-Oh, no!

Daddy, you blew the leaf.

-Show me a red leaf, Rosie.

Yes! Good for you!

-Here's a yellow one, Mommy.

And another red one.

-Thank you, Caillou.

And thank you Rosie.

-Caillou loved spending
all day with his family,

having fun in the leaves.

-I think it's time
to go inside and make supper.

Come along you two.

-I'll stay and rake the leaves.

-Caillou was
enjoying himself so much he
didn't want the fun to stop.

He wanted this special
day to last forever.

-Can I stay and help
Daddy rake the leaves?

-Sure. I think
that's a great idea.

-Alright!

-There's an awful
lot of leaves, Caillou.

Do you think
we can rake them all?

-Yes.

I like raking the leaves, Daddy.

-Ooof! Well,
it's rather hard work.

But it's fun
when we do it together.

-Caillou liked
helping his Daddy.

But he also liked playing.

He imagined that
the piles of leaves were
big houses in the city.

-I want to live in this one.

-Caillou was having so much fun
pretending that the leaf piles

were big houses, he didn't even
notice that it was almost dark.

-Daddy, come see my house.

-Wow! That's a great house.

Did you make it all by yourself?

-Yes.

-Come on in, you
two. Supper's ready.

-Daddy. I had a fun day.

-So did I.

I like it when I have
my whole family all around me.

-Me too.

-Did you finish
raking the leaves?

-Yes.

And there were
lots and lots of them.

I made a city, too.

-Caillou helped
me a lot, didn't you?

Hey, what's that on your head?

-Ohhh!

Playing statues?

-No.

That tree lost a leaf and

Uh oh.

We've got trouble.

Oh, big trouble.

-Oh, no no no. That's
not trouble, that's fall.

-Well, then it's
fall all over the place.

-No, no, no, I mean it's
Fall, autumn, a time of year.

The trees are going
to sleep for the winter,

so they don't need
their leaves any more.

They drop them.

-Right, I remember.

Fall.

It's been awhile.

-Fall.

-Things are
different in the Fall.

Great orange round vegetables
grow right out of the ground.

-Right out of the ground!?

-They're big.

-Oh.

♪Five yellow pumpkins
pretty in their places,

♪Carved with spooky
Hallowe'en faces,

♪Sit in the
window glowing bright.

♪Lighting up this
dark October night.

♪And I say boo! And I say boo!

♪And we say boo, too-oo-oo!

Hi Caillou, Hi Rosie!

-Grandpa!

-Are you ready, Caillou?

-Caillou's Grandpa was
taking him on a special outing.

Rosie wasn't going and she
was upset at being left behind.

-Mommy! Look what Rosie did.

-Rosie, why did you do that?

-I wanted to take Teddy with me.

-I'll put Teddy
in the washing machine and
get him all nice and clean.

-I don't want Teddy
to go in the washing machine.

-C'mon Caillou, we're
going pumpkin picking!

Whoa, what a big boy!

I hope the pumpkins
aren't as heavy as you!

-Oh! Wow!!

-Look at all those
pumpkins, Caillou.

-This is a funny pumpkin.

Wheeeee!

-That looks like a fun game.

Hi there. What's your name?

-I'm Caillou.

-Hello, Mrs. James,

Caillou's come to
pick one of your pumpkins.

-Oh good. My pumpkins
are quite famous, you know.

-They are?

-Oh yes. I have a special
pumpkin album and kids from

everywhere send me
pictures of my pumpkins when

they've been decorated
and made into jack-o-lanterns.

-Where do pumpkins come from?

-They come from
these little pumpkinseeds.

-Ah! They do?

-Caillou was amazed
that a little seed could
grow into something so big.

-Happy picking, Caillou.

-Thank you Mrs. James.

Goodbye!

Caillou?

Caillou? Where are you?

-Here I am.

-I bet you've been having
so much fun you haven't had time

to choose the
pumpkin you like best.

-I like that one. That one.

That one...

-Hold on there, Caillou.

You can only pick one.

-I want this one.

Argh.

It's too heavy.

-Why don't I carry your pumpkin,

and you can
carry the little one.

You can give it to Rosie.

-Okay.

-Now that we've
emptied Rosie's pumpkin
we can draw the face on it.

-Caillou!

-Rosie and I washed Teddy in
the sink and made him like new.

-Thank you, Rosie.

I picked a pumpkin for you.

-I'd say right
about here, Caillou.

Now, you can punch
out all the holes.

-Now comes the best part.

-Oh!

-Look at that!

-Caillou! Caillou!

-Rosie's right.

That pumpkin looks
a lot like you, Caillou.

-Caillou now had a picture
of his jack-o-lanterns

to send to Mrs. James
for her pumpkin album.

♪Ghosts and goblins
black cats and all,

♪Circle the neighborhood
some big, and small.

♪Don't run and hide,
don't scream or shriek,

♪if you ear an
owl or a little creak.

♪And I say boo! And I say boo!

-Mommy. Mommy.
Is it time yet? Is it?

-Well...

Yes it is.

Let's get you and
Rosie ready, shall we?

-Yay.

-Well Mister Spaceman,
are you ready for lift-off?

-Almost, Daddy.

-All systems go.

-Yay!

-Here's your
clown costume, Rosie.

Just like you wanted.

-Rosie had asked for a clown
costume, but when she saw it,

it reminded her of how
she used to be scared of clowns.

-Aaaa! I don't want it.

-You don't wanna
go trick-or-treating?

Really?

-Caillou couldn't
believe that Rosie didn't
wanna go trick-or-treating.

-Why doesn't Rosie wanna go?

-Rosie is scared because she's
still too little for Halloween.

Well,
if you really don't want to,
I guess we'll just stay home.

-Hold still, Caillou.

-Bye bye Mommy!

-Mom stayed home
to look after Rosie,

so Caillou
could go out trick-or-treating
with his Daddy.

-Bye bye!

-Go ahead, Caillou
what are you waiting for?

-Um.

-It's OK.

You haven't forgotten
what to say, have you?

-Well, this is a surprise.

It's not every day an
astronaut comes to my house.

-Go, on, Caillou.
You know what to say.

-Trick or treat, Mr. Hinkle.

Rosie was too scared to come
trick-or-treating, Mr. Hinkle.

Hello!

-Hi, Caillou.
I'm a scary monster.

-And I'm a spaceman.

-Whoo-ooohh.

-Leo's a monster.

And Clementine's a nurse.

-Look at all my treats.

-Wow!

-Caillou, Leo and Clementine all
went trick-or-treating together.

-Trick or treat. Trick or treat

-and they collected
lots of treats before
it was time to go home.

Halloween was almost over.

But there was still
one more bell to ring.

-Trick or treat. Trick or treat.

-Who's this standing
on the doorstep?

It looks like an
astronaut and his friends.

-It's me.

-It's Caillou.

-Well, if you want a
treat, you'd better come in.

-I like Halloween.

-I loooove Halloween.

♪When the doorbell
rings, don't run away.

♪Cause at last it's
the right time to say,

♪three little
words that we repeat.

♪on this Halloween
night: "Trick or Treat!"

♪And I say boo! And I say boo!

♪And we say boo, too-oo-oo!

Halloween is a good
night for a cat to stay in.

-Oh, and a dinosaur?

-And a dinosaur.

-Biddle diddle boo.

-Yikes!

-bows nix dares,
turn them into teddy bears.

-What?

-I don't like it
when people sneak up on me.

-Well, I was just trying
to get into the spirit.

It's Halloween!
That happens in fall!

-Not everything
about fall is spooky.

-Really?

Phew! That's good!

-It's actually a very
important time of year.

-It is?

-Oh yes. It's the time of
year when the farmers bring in

all the crops from
the fields. It's harvest.

That means picking up
vegetables and getting them

ready for the market.

-Oh, quite right.

-And that means
it's one of the best times
of year for leftovers!

-Uh... Leftovers?

-Yeah! Thanksgiving!
I forgot about that.

-Look Mommy!

I'm gonna catch it!

Gilbert!

Wheeeeeee!

-Oh!

-Play with me Mommy!

-Okay!

-You guys are having fun I see!

-Daddy! What did you buy?

Did you buy something for me?

-Let's see, I have
carrots, potatoes, squash,

lettuce, peppers, and onions!

Oh, here's something for you!

-Caillou didn't
know what it was.

It looked like corn, but the
grains had all sorts of colors.

-Can I eat it?

-No, that's for
decorating Caillou.

It's corn that has been
left out in the sun to dry.

We'll put in on the table for
our Thanksgiving centerpiece.

And
we have a lot of preparations
to do! We better get to work!

-Caillou wanted to continue
playing in the leaves,

but it wasn't
much fun playing alone

so he decided to help with
the Thanksgiving preparations!

-Why are you crying Daddy?

-Because Mommy made me cut
the onions and they make me cry!

-I don't like onions.

-Here Rosie.

-Would you like to help Caillou?

-Yes!

-Here, you can break this into
small pieces for the stuffing.

-Caillou liked to
help mommy and daddy cook,

but he wanted to go out
and play with Gilbert even more.

-Bread! Bread! Me too!

Caillou!

-Here Rosie! You have
to make little pieces, okay?

No, Rosie!

Mommy! Rosie
is eating the bread!

-Are you hungry Rosie?

I'll fix you something else.

Caillou?

Can you help me by

-Caillou didn't really
want to set the table anymore.

He
was distracted by the colorful
centerpiece that Mommy had

created, but he felt that
it wasn't quite perfect yet.

-This should go on top!

-Apple!

-Give it back Rosie,
it goes on the table!

-No!

Apple for Rosie!

-Oh no Caillou.

-I'm sorry.

-That's alright, why
don't you finish setting

the table and I'll
pick up the rest later.

Then you can come and
help us in the kitchen, okay?

-Caillou was beginning to feel
like this was a lot of work.

-Here, why don't you
put these in the basket for me?

-I don't want to help anymore.

-But Caillou. Thanksgiving is
a special day to be thankful for

all the good food
we are so lucky to have.

That's why we all have
to help to prepare a big feast.

So we can sit together
and give thanks.

-And, we also remember
how very lucky we are to

have such a wonderful family to
share all this good food with!

Here, taste this.

-Mmmm!

-Oh.

-Grandpa and Grandma
are coming over later to
share Thanksgiving with us.

-Oh! Look at the time!

We can just make
it if everyone helps out.

-I can help!

-Caillou understood that
Thanksgiving was a special day

and he wanted to help Mommy
and Daddy prepare the feast.

And besides, all
that food smelled so good,

that he was beginning
to get a little hungry.

-Gilbert, it's
not time to play now.

I have to help mommy and daddy.

I can help mommy decorate.

Good idea, Gilbert!

Look Gilbert! Everyone
will have a leaf!

Even you!

-Caillou was
very proud of having

decorated the table
for Thanksgiving supper.

And with the left over leaves,
Caillou had an idea for a game.

-Gilbert! No!

Grandma! Grandpa!

-They're here!

Oh, and the table's not set yet!

-I set the table Mommy!

-Oh?

Thank you Caillou.

-Happy Thanksgiving!

-Mmmm! That turkey
smells wonderful!

You have to follow
me and step on every leaf!

-Caillou was very proud
that everyone was following him

and playing
his Thanksgiving game.

He was anxious to show
everyone his special decorations

that he had placed on the table.

-What a beautiful idea!

-Everyone has one!

is a nice surprise, Caillou,
you did a wonderful job!

-Are we all
ready to have a feast!

-Yeah!

-Rosie hardly ate anything!

-That's because
she's been eating all day!

Caillou has been a
great help! Right Caillou?

you sneaking a bite!

your pumpkin pie Grandma!

-Well, that was where
the turkey and gravy were.

On the first step, the
gravy dripped over the side

and I had to lick it up.

On the third step it dripped
again and I thought - meow -

this gravy could
use a little turkey

and then on the
fifth step I thought

this cat could use a little
more turkey and gravy and...

and well...

-He ate it.

hee-hee-hee, it
doesn't matter to me,

because I like
sweet potatoes best!

-And I love pumpkin pie! Mmm.

-I'm kind of thankful
it's Thanksgiving!

-I need a fork.

what you call it,

it's one of the best
seasons of the whole year!

-Yeah!

It's starting
to get cold. Brrrrr.

-Leaves change color
and fall off the trees.

And it's one of the best times
to spend a day at the farm.

-Right!

All kinds of things
happen on a farm in the fall!

-Isn't she cute?

-Mmmmm.

-Fall!

-Autumn!

-You have to bundle up.

-Yes, it's very important.

-But, but, but, but why?

-Well, Fall also means that
it's getting colder outside.

-But why?

-Well, because Fall is
getting us ready for winter.

My daddy shows me how
to do lots of neat stuff.

We like skating except
it's not that easy at first.

And sometimes daddy acts silly.

But he always knows
how to take care of us.

When I grow up I wanna
be just like my daddy.
