Mr. Sparks: When you're
training to be a hero,

there are no shortcuts.

You have to do the legwork.

- Whoo-hoo!
[laughing]

- That's it, AJ.

Bouncing makes your legs
nice and strong.

- And it's lots of fun!

- [grunting]

Okay, your turn, Fur Blur.

- [high-pitched squeaking]

[squeaks]

- [laughs]

Work those legs.

Remember, strong legs
can boost your superpowers.

- But how can my legs
help me fly, Mr. Sparks?

- Try bending them,
then push off.

[upbeat jazz music]

Uh...wa-chow!
[whooshes]

[whooshing]

Mr. Sparks: See what I mean?
- Yeah!

- Why do I need
to exercise my legs?

It's my arms
that are super-strong.

[grunting with exertion]

- Yes, but strength comes
from your legs, too.

Try to lift with your legs,
Sara.

You want me to pick this up

Use your arms,
but bend your knees,

then stand up as you lift!

[upbeat jazz music]

- [grunts]

Hey! That does help!

- Good work!

- My legs are feeling strong,
Mr. Sparks.

I've got more spring
in my legs already!

- [excited squeaks]

- [squeaks]

Mr. Sparks:
Looks like a baby porcupine.

- Aw, the poor little thing.

It's tangled
in a piece of trash.

- We have to help.

- Who's the crew who knows
what to do?

[upbeat jazz music]

to the Rescue!

- Come on, team!

Mr. Sparks:
So we all hurried to the park

to help that poor porcupine

with its
pretty prickly problem!

[boinging]
[whooshes]

[dog barks]

- Get the stick!

[dog barks]

[boing]

[whooshes]

♪ ♪

- Any sign of the porcupine?

- Not yet.
- [squeaking cry]

- [gasps]

There it is!

- [crying]

- Fear not!

We're here to help!

- Hang on!

We shouldn't go near
wild animals,

especially porcupines.

- But how are we gonna help
the poor thing

if we can't get close to it?

- Well, crew, how do we
always solve problems?

- I know what
you're getting at, Mr. S.

We can use our...

[upbeat jazz music]

- Let's start by observing.

Uh, from a distance, I mean.

- Ooh!
I've got my Zoomoculars.

They can help me get
a closer look.

Mr. Sparks:
What do you observe, AJ?

AJ: Well, I notice there
are lots of pointy things

on the porcupine's back.

- Those are its quills.

And they are very sharp.

- We definitely don't want
to get near those.

AJ: I also notice
that a plastic thing

is looped around
the porcupine's leg.

- We need to get it off
somehow.

- But how are we gonna do that,

when we can't go near it?

- Hmm...

[gasps]

AJ, maybe you can use
your Arm-O-Matic.

- Good idea!

I'll use the
Super Extendo Mode.

[suspenseful music]

- Careful!

- Go slow.

You don't want
to scare it away.

♪ ♪

- [hisses]
Mr. Sparks: Uh-oh!

It's sticking up its quills!

That means it's afraid.

- Don't be scared!

We just wanna help!

♪ ♪

- Whoa!

Porcupines can climb trees?

- Looks like it.

Notice how it uses
its strong legs to climb high,

away from danger?

- Aw.

But how are we gonna get that
thing off its leg now?

♪ ♪

- [gasps]
Oh, no!

Now it's stuck!

- I'll try again.

♪ ♪

Almost...
[hisses]

[hissing]
AJ: Almost...

- Quill alert!

AJ: Got it!

Sara: It's free!

AJ: It really doesn't like
my Arm-O-Matic.

- [whines]

- Wow,
look at its little legs go!

[tense music]

♪ ♪

- I didn't know porcupines

could move like that.

- It can move fast!

Well, fast for a porcupine.

- [laughs]

Those furry little legs

can really move!

[gasps]
Oh, no!

♪ ♪

- We have to do something!

- Come on!

[exciting music]

[whooshes]
[boinging]

AJ: It's heading right
for the water!

♪ ♪

- Bubble up!

[bubbles rippling]

AJ: Yay!

- [laughing] Yay!

A bubble-raft
was a great idea, Benny!

[distressed cries]

- Uh-oh.

- I'm coming,
little porcupine!

[upbeat jazz music]

Uh-oh!

How am I gonna help you
if I can't touch you?

- We've got to think fast!

Aha!
I've got a plan!

[whooshes]

Heads up, Lucita!

[distressed cry]

- [gasps]
I'm coming, porcupine!

[distressed cry]
- Wait! Look!

- Porcupines can swim?

Mr. Sparks: Sí.

Notice how its legs
are paddling?

Sara: Whoa!

Those little legs are really
getting a workout today!

♪ ♪

- Huh. Guess it didn't
need my help, after all.

- There you go, little buddy.

Safe and sound.

[dog barking]

[tense music]

- Rollo, come back!

- Uh-oh.

- [distressed squeak]

[dramatic music]
[cries]

[dog barking]

- [panting]

Rollo, come back!

[whooshes]

- No, no, no.
No, dog!

Go back!

- [laughs]
Don't worry.

He just wants to play.

- But that's a porcupine!

- [gasps]

R-Rollo?

[upbeat jazz music]

- Ay! The quills!

- Rollo,

[gasps]
[dog barking]

- Oh, no.
[gasps]

[whistles]

Come here, good boy!

[dog barks]

- Phew!

Thank goodness,
both animals are safe.

- Where did
the little porcupine go?

- I'll take a look.

♪ ♪

[distressed cries]
It's down there,

between the rocks!

And it can't get out.

[tense music]

[whooshes]

- And we can't go in there.

Ooh, gotta stay away
from those quills!

- We have to help it get out!

[tense music]

[cries]
But how?

- Keep using those
Superpowers of Science, class.

They always help.

- Okay.

Let's go over
all the information

we've gathered so far.

Thought projecting!

We know the porcupine can swim.

It paddles with its legs.

Lucita: And it can move
those legs pretty fast too.

Sara: And it uses those strong
legs to climb up trees.

- Mm-hmm.
Hmm.

- So why can't it climb out
of this hole?

- That is the question.

- [squeaks]

- Hmm.

Wait! Zoom in!

I just noticed,

the porcupine has sharp claws

on the ends of those legs.

Lucita: Those must help it
climb... [gasps]

By digging into the tree!

- But the claws can't dig
into the hard rock.

♪ ♪

- No wonder it can't climb out.

- What it needs is something
it can dig its claws into.

[gasps]
Like that!

[whooshes]

[upbeat jazz music]

[whooshes]

If I put one end down there,

the porcupine should be able
to climb right up and out!

- That's a great plan!

- Time to use another
Superpower of Science!

And test it out!

- [grunts]

- [grunting]

[distressed cries]

Sara: It won't fit!

- Maybe we can move this rock
out of the way.

[all grunting with exertion]

- This rock is super heavy!

- No prob!
[whooshes]

[whooshes]
I got this.

It's super, super heavy!

- Try using your legs.

Right, Mr. Sparks?

Mr. Sparks: Sí!

Remember,
they can help you lift!

- [squeaks]

- I'll try.

Bend the knees,
then stand up.

[grunting]

AJ: Go, Sara!

Lift away.
Benny: Yay! [laughs]

- Way to go, Sara!
[all laughing]

- Whoo-hoo!

- It worked!

Using my legs really does help!

[whooshes]

[upbeat music]

Here you go.

Use your legs, bud!

Come on!
You can do it!

- You do realize
it can't understand you, right?

- That's okay.

It knows what to do.

It's climbing!

♪ ♪

- The porcupine's claws
are digging into the tree!

Benny: And it's pushing up
with its legs!

- Go, legs, go!

- Let's move back,
everyone.

♪ ♪

[triumphant music]

AJ: You did it!

- Oh, yeah!

- Way to go, little guy!
- Nice one!

- Fantástico!

[happy cry]

[all gasp]
[porcupine whines]

AJ: Another porcupine?

- Maybe that's its mother?

- Or father?

[happy crying]

Benny: Aww.

- How cool is that?

- [laughs]
Super cool!

- Well, Sparks' Crew,

time to get back to school.

- You know, I don't feel
like flying back.

- Me, neither.
- I can give you all a ride!

- Nah, that's okay.

We'd rather give our legs
a little exercise.

Race you back to school!

- You're on!
- [laughs]

- [laughs] Yeah!
- This is fun!

- Yeah, yippee!

So if you want to be a hero

shake a leg and work hard.

Oh, and stay away
from porcupines.

[bell rings]

Mr. Sparks:
School had just started,

and even though
it was a hot day,

our class pet seemed
to have a cold.

- [sad squeaking]

- What's wrong, Fur Blur?

- [squeaks, sniffles]

- Aww.

Poor widdle thing
has the snifflies.

- [squeaking]

[sneezes]

♪ ♪

- Whoa! That's more than
just the sniffles.

- More like,
expl*sive sneeze-itis.

- expl*sive...
what-itis?

- Sneeze-itis.
It's a cold super-hamsters get.

- Aw.
What can we do to help her?

- The vet gave me
some information.

Now, where did I put it?

I remember it says
she can be cured by a plant.

- A plant?

No prob!

Be back in a snap!

Plant!
[whooshes]

[whooshes]

Will this work?

- I-I don't think so, but--

Fur Blur needs
a special kind of plant

with a--a flower on it.

If Fur Blur sniffs the flower,

she'll stop sneezing.
- [crunching]

- Huh? Oh.

Looks like this one

makes a good snack, though.

- Ha! At least her appetite

is still good.

- I wish I could remember
what the plant looks like.

Aha!

Here's the picture of it!

- [squeaks]

[squeaking]

[sneezes]

- Ah!

- Whoa!

- [gasps]

- Oh, no!

[intense music]

- Oh, we needed that.

- Now we don't know anything

about the plant Fur Blur needs.

- Well, we do know
one thing about it.

We know it has a flower.
Sara: Right!

So we just have
to find a plant...

let her sniff the flower...

and then no more sneezing!

- Oh-oh!

I know a place
that's full of plants.

The City Town Greenhouse!

It's like a big, indoor garden.

- There are all kinds
of plants there.

- Even super-plants!

- I bet we can find
the plant we need there.

- Mm, why don't you come
with us, Fur Blur?

The sooner you sniff
that flower,

the sooner
you'll stop sneezing.

- Great idea.

So who's the crew
who knows what to do?

[upbeat jazz music]

to the Rescue!

Mr. Sparks: So they rushed
to the City Town Greenhouse.

But could they find
the flower with the power,

to cure expl*sive sneeze-itis?

[boinging]
[whooshes]

[boinging]

- I don't get why
they call this a greenhouse.

It's made of clear glass!

- [laughs] Well, the plants
in it are mostly green.

How's Fur Blur?

- Still not feeling good?

My little sneezly-weezly.

- [squeaking]

[sneezes]

[boinging]

[distressed squeak]

[boing]

[lively music]

- [gasps]
Bubble up!

- [squeaks]

[intense music]

- Got her!

- You okay, little Fur Blur?

- [squeaks]

- We need to find that plant
to stop her sneezing.

- Right.
Come on, team.

Let's spread out, and look
for a plant with a flower.

[whooshing]

[boing]

- No flower...

Hmm.
No flower

[whooshing]

- Lots of leaves,
but no flower!

[boinging]
- Ooh! I see a flower!

See?
- I found flowers too.

[whooshes]
- So did I!

- This whole section
is filled with flowers!

- With so many flowers,

how are we gonna know which one
cures expl*sive sneeze-itis?

- Fur Blur can't sniff
them all.

- [sad squeak]

- I know what can help us
figure this out.

- Let's start by going over
what we observed.

- Well, there are many
different kinds of plants here.

- And lots of the plants
have flowers.

- And some of them
look exactly the same.

AJ: Mm.
Not exactly.

When you compare them, you
start to notice differences.

See?
Thin leaves...

Wider leaves.

And look!

The flowers
are different colors.

Benny: Hey!
You're right!

- Wow, AJ.

You really have an eye
for noticing differences.

- Uh, not just one eye.
I notice with both eyes.

- So how do we know
which of these plants

is the one we're looking for?

- Hm.
We need more information.

Maybe Mr. Sparks
can remember something.

♪ ♪

- Hmm.
[electronic bleep]

Lucita: Mr. Sparks?

- Hola, Lucita.

Any luck at the greenhouse?

- Not yet.

Can you tell us anything else

about the plant we need
for Fur Blur?

- Actually, yes

I've gathered up all the
little pieces of paper

and it looks like the plant
has purple leaves.

- That's a great clue!

Gracias, Mr. Sparks!

- De nada!
Good luck.

Now, let's see if I can put
these pieces back together.

Now, this goes here, and that
looks like it goes there...

[electronic boop]
- Okay, we have a new clue!

- Yes!
Thought projecting!

The plant we're looking for
has a flower,

and purple leaves.

- [squeaking]

[sneezes]

- Fur Blur!

[lively music]

[distressed squeak]

- Oh, no!
- Fur Blur!

[boinging]

furry-blurry-worry?

- [squeaks]

- Wow! I've never seen
plants like these before.

- These are all super-plants.

I've read lots of comic book
adventures with super-plants.

Benny: Super-plants?

Maybe that's what we need!

A super-plant

to cure a super-cold

for our super-pet.

- Hey!
Yeah!

- We just have to find
the right super-plant,

that has purple leaves
and a flower.

- Let's observe and compare.

Come on!

[heroic music]

[whooshes]

Nice flower.

But the leaves aren't purple.

[boinging]

- [sniffs]

Purple leaves,

but no flower.

- [gasps]
This one has purple leaves!

And flowers!

[whooshing]

- Is this it?

AJ: Hmm.
It does have purple leaves.

And flowers.

It checks out!

- Give it a sniff, Fur Blur.

Let's see if it stops
your sneezing.

- [sniffing]

[squeaking]

- Oh, no!

Guess that wasn't
the right plant, then.

- [squeaks]

Lucita: Mr. Sparks.

It's me, again.
- Lucita!

I'm putting together the pieces
of the plant picture.

Soon we'll know
what it looks like.

- Great, because we need
more information.

- Well, I can tell you
one thing.

The color of the flower
is yellow.

Look, I'll show you.

[wind blowing]

[sighs]

- Oh...

Well, at least we know
the flower's color.

That's helpful.

- [sneezes]

- [squeaks happily]

- That's a relief.

Benny: Yeah, but it has
those purple cup thingies.

- Right.
It doesn't have purple leaves.

- Or does it?

Look.

- [gasps]

That cup is a leaf!

[laughs]
Just a curled-up leaf.

- This could be
the right plant!

- [squeaks]

[squeaking]

[tense music]
- AJ, the flower!

- [squeaking]
Ah--

[sniffs]

[squeaks happily]

- [gasps]
She didn't sneeze!

AJ, you must have found
the right plant!

- [laughs] Finally!
- Yeah!

We did it!
- Yay!

[laughs] Yes!
- [squeaks happily]

[electronic ringtone]
- Good news, crew!

I finally put all the pieces

of the picture back together!

- [clears throat]
Mr. Sparks?

- And I taped them in place,

so they won't come apart again!

- Uh, Mr. Sparks?

- And now, we finally know.

The plant you need
looks like this!

- [chuckles]
We know!

AJ already found it!

- You--you did?

- Yeah! See?

- [laughs]
Well, that's great.

Uh--how did you figure out
which plant it was?

- AJ observed and compared!

He's got an eye
for noticing differences.

- Make that two eyes.
[giggles]

- I'm just glad
the flower worked.

And Fur Blur isn't sneezing
anymore!

- Yeah! She seems all better!

- [squeaks happily]

- Fantástico!

- Now, let's get you back
to school, little buddy.

- [ecstatic squeaking]
