- Hola, soy Dora.

It's "Power Off Day,"

so, we're turning off things that use electricity

to remind us not to waste power.

Miren, Mami's turning off the computer.

- And I unplugged the toaster from the kitchen.

- Papi always tells me to turn the lights off

when I'm not using them.

Right, Papi?

- Sí, es verdad.

- Oooh...

Got it!

- Muy bien, mi hijita.

- But, look, there's still a light on.

Where's the light?

- [giggling]

- DORA: [giggling] Yeah, that's my night light.

Help me call her out.

Say, "Come out, Night Light."

Louder!

- ¡Hola!

Dora!

- Hola, Night Light.

Night Light's a wind up light.

So, when we turn her crank,

her light shines brighter and brighter.

- Whee!

- BOTH: [giggling]

- And she doesn't use electricity.

So, we can still use her on "Power Off Day."

- Yeah.

- Dora! Dora!

- Hey, that's Boots. Come on.

- Dora!

Dora! [panting]

Chicks! It's dark! Come quick!

- What's wrong, Boots?

- Dora, Dora,

all the lights are off in the library.

- That's because it's "Power Off Day," Boots.

- BOOTS: But the Big Red Chicken's little chicks

are waiting for story time and the sun's going down.

- CHICKS: [cheeping]

- No story time?

- BOOTS: The little chicks are afraid of the dark.

They sent me to get help.

Can you help us?

- Ooh! Ooh! I can help, Dora.

- You will, Night Light?

All right!

- Yeah, Night Light can shine really bright in the library.

- And then the little chicks won't be afraid.

¡Claro! And I love, love, love story time.

- NIGHT LIGHT & BOOTS: Let's go!

- We've gotta find the quickest way to the library.

Who do we ask for help

when we don't know which way to go?

The Map. Right.

You have to say "Map."

- NIGHT LIGHT & BOOTS: Say "Map." Say "Map."

- ♪ I'm the Map, I'm the Map ♪

- ♪ He's the Map, he's the Map ♪

- ♪ I'm the Map! ♪

Ooh, Dora needs to bring Night Light to the library

before it's too dark for the little chicks.

Well, I know how to get to the library fast.

First, you have to go through the Glowy Cave.

Then you go up Shadow Mountain.

And that's how you get to the library.

- CHICK #: Ooh, it's getting darker.

- CHICK #: Oh, dear.

- BIG RED CHICKEN: [bawking] Hurry, please.

- So, remember...

Cave.

Mountain.

Library.

Say it with me.

Cave.

Mountain.

Library.

Library.

So, you tell Dora, first, you go to the cave.

- Where do we go first?

The cave. Right.

The Glowy Cave.

Is the Glowy Cave on the left path

or the right path?

The right path. ¡Muy bien! Vamos.

We've got to get Night Light to the library.

- So, I can shine my bright light for the little chicks.

- Come on! Come on!

- ♪ Going to the library

♪ To light up the night

Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

Go, Night Light.

- Hey, there's a bunny looking for another.

She's trying to find her lost brother.

- I can shine a little light, 'cause I'm a night light.

That's right.

- Help Night Light find the bunny's brother.

Say, "Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light."

- BOOTS: Yeah, there's the bunny's twin.

Wahoo!

- DORA & BOOTS: ♪ Going to the library

♪ To light up the night

Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

Go, Night Light. Go! Go! Go!

- Tico wants to play his conga drums

with his cousin who plays guitar.

They wanna make some music.

Help Tico find where his congas are.

- We've gotta help Night Light find Tico's conga drums.

Say, "Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light."

- Yeah, ahí está.

- ♪ Going to the library

♪ To light up the night

Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

Go, Night Light. Go! Go!

Yay!

- [quiet meowing]

- Hey, Dora, that sounds like animals in trouble.

- Dora! Boots!

- And that sounds like my cousin Diego.

- But I don't see him, Dora.

- I think he's up...

there!

He's up in that tree.

- Hola, amigos.

- Diego, what are you doing up in that tree?

- I'm looking for the Pompas kittens.

- ♪

- They like to climb trees,

but it's getting pretty dark out.

They need to get home soon.

- I can help you, Diego.

I can help you.

Oh, I need to be a little brighter.

- We've gotta turn Night Light's crank

to help her shine even brighter.

- Put your hand out like this and turn the crank.

Turn the crank.

Turn. Turn. Turn.

- Great turning.

- Now we can find those kittens.

Help me find the Pompas kittens.

If you see the kittens, say "Kittens."

- [bubbles gurgling]

- [quiet meowing]

- ALL: Kittens!

- There they are.

- Come on, gatitos, I got you.

- [kittens purring]

- BOOTS & DORA: Awww...

- Thanks for helping me find the kittens.

- BOOTS & DORA: You're welcome.

- All right, you guys, time to go home.

- [kittens meowing]

- Hasta luego, primo.

- ♪

- We made it to the Glowing Cave.

- But where's all the glowy stuff, Dora?

Uh, it's kinda dark in there.

- Come on, Boots. Night Light can light the way.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

- ♪

- Ooh, look, Night Light's light

made glowy numbers appear.

- Awesome! - Wow!

- Dora, which glowy path should we take?

- One of the paths is blocked,

so, we need to take the one that's clear.

Which numbered path do we take--

or ?

. Correcto.

- Let's go!

- ♪

- More paths.

Now which numbered path should we take?

, , or ?

- [snoring]

- Muy bien, .

Let's keep going.

- ♪

- Cool, Night Light. Even more glowy numbers.

- Now which numbered path should we take?

Right. .

- ♪

- We made it through the Glowy Cave.

Thanks for helping us find the right path.

- [fanfare music]

- Where do we go next, Dora?

- ¿Adónde vamos, Dora? Adónde?

Cave. Mountain. Library.

We made it through the Glowy Cave--check!

So, next is the...

Mountain. Correcto.

Shadow Mountain.

Is Shadow Mountain on the path

We've got to get Night Light to the library.

- So, I can shine my bright light for the little chicks.

- We've gotta hurry.

- Benny's missing a roller-skate.

- DORA & BOOTS: If he found the other, it would be so great.

- I can shine a little light because I'm a night light.

That's right.

- Help Night Light find Benny's other skate.

Say, "Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light."

- There's Benny's other skate.

- ¡Fantástico!

- ♪ Going to the library

♪ To light up the night

Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

Go, Night Light. Go! Go! Go!

- The piggies are lost beyond the shore,

'cause it's too dark to see anymore.

- Help Night Light get the piggies back to the shore.

Say, "Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light."

Muy bien, here come the pirate piggies.

- Ahoy, piggies!

- ♪ Going to the library

♪ To light up the night

Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

Go, Night Light. Go! Go!

Yay!

- We're almost there. We're almost there.

- [clicking noises]

- Cuidado, Night Light.

- That sounds like Swiper, the fox.

- Swiper?

- Yeah, that sneaky fox

is always trying to swipe our stuff.

- If you see Swiper, say "Swiper."

Swiper!

- [laughing]

- Here he comes.

- DORA & BOOTS: Swiper, no...

- NIGHT LIGHT: Whoa!

- DORA & BOOTS: ...swiping.

- You're too late.

You'll never find your night light now.

- Night Light? Night Light?

- NIGHT LIGHT: I'm okay.

But come get me. Please.

- We need your help to find Night Light.

Let's look for her light.

If you see a light, say, "light."

Light!

Is it Night Light?

No, that's a glow worm with an ice cream cone.

Let's keep looking.

Remember, if you see a light, say, "light."

Light!

Is that Night Light?

- No, those are fireflies,

and it looks like they're flying some kites.

[laughs] Cool.

- Keep looking.

- DORA & BOOTS: Light!

- Is that Night Light?

- Nope, those are dancing frogs.

- ♪

- Light! Is this Night Light?

It is!

Great finding.

- You found me. You found me.

Gracias.

- Ooh, she's too high up.

- Help us reach up to Night Light.

Put your hands up high and reach.

- DORA & BOOTS: Reach! Reach! Reach! Reach!

- We got her. Great reaching.

- Yeah, yeah. Thanks.

Now let's go, amigos. - DORA & BOOTS: [laughing]

- ¡Vámonos!

- ♪

- We made it to Shadow Mountain.

- But, look, the sun's almost down.

- And it's making everything dark and shadowy.

- We've gotta hurry up the mountain, Dora.

The chicks need my light.

- No te preocupes, Night Light.

We'll make it.

- Yeah, Night Light. It's not too, too dark.

Come on, guys.

- DORA: Cuidado, Boots!

- Whoa, what was that, Dora?

What was that?

- DORA: What did Boots bump into?

- Hee-haw!

- DORA: Yeah, a donkey.

That's our friend, Señor Burro.

- Oops. Lo siento, Señor Burro.

- No hay problema, amigo.

- Señor Burro, ¿nos puede llevar?

- Oh, sí. Mountain!

- El Señor Burro's going to give us a ride.

And Night Light's going to help.

- Ooh, a burro ride! Cool!

- I've never been on one of these before.

Yippee!

- Ay, pero está muy oscuro. Necesito ayuda.

- We need to help out al Señor Burro,

so he doesn't bump into anything.

To tell Señor Burro to watch out,

- Uh-oh, sleeping snake up ahead.

- That can't be good.

- Quick, let's make Night Light shine super bright

so we can see what's coming.

Turn the crank.

Turn. Turn. Turn. Turn.

- [boulders rumbling]

- Now say, "Cuidado, burro."

Louder.

- DORA & BOOTS: ¡Cuidado, burro!

- Whew! Muchas gracias, amigos.

- Yay! We made it to the top of Shadow Mountain.

- Great Spanish speaking.

- [fanfare music]

- ¿Adónde vamos, Dora? Adónde?

- Cave. Mountain. Library.

We made it through the Glowy Cave--check!

We made it up Shadow Mountain--check!

So, next is the...

library, yeah. La biblioteca.

¿Dónde está la biblioteca?

We've got to get Night Light to the library.

- So, I can shine my bright light for the little chicks.

- We'd better get there quick.

The sun's going down super fast.

- BIG RED CHICKEN: [bawking]

It sure is getting dark in here.

- Uh-oh. - We need a light.

- If only we had a light. - Sí.

- The chicks, Dora, the chicks.

- Tenemos que ir deprisa, Señor Burro, ¿listo?

- Listo, amiga.

- Let's help the Señor Burro

get down the mountain really fast.

Say, "Rápido, burro."

Louder.

- ALL: ¡Rápido, burro!

- Whee! [laughing]

- ALL: Whee!

- ♪

- Woo-hoo, we made it to the library.

- We're here, chicks, we're here.

- Look, Boots brought Dora.

- You made it. You made it.

- It's story time.

- Thanks for getting Dora to help, Boots.

- Oh, boy, there goes the sun.

- Uh, Dora?

- We need to make Night Light shine super-duper bright

so, we can read the story.

Put your hand out and turn the crank.

- ALL: Turn! Turn! Turn!

Turn! Turn! Turn! Turn! Turn!

- Yay! Yay! Yay!

- ¡Qué bueno! - Yay!

- ¡Fantástico!

- And now it's...

- CHICKS: Story time!

Story! Story! Story!

- Will you read us a story, Dora, por favor?

- Aw, claro, pollito.

Oh, I know this story.

It's the story of the Big Red Chicken.

- CHICKS: Ooooh!

- You're gonna love this one, chicks.

- DORA: Once upon a time,

there was a Little Red Chicken

who lived on a big red hill.

The Little Red Chicken was very, very little.

He couldn't run as fast as his friends.

- Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!

- DORA: He was so little, he had to be very careful,

or his friends would step on him.

- Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!

- CHICKENS: [clucking]

- DORA: He didn't like being so little.

- [sniffling]

Cluck. Cluck. Cluck.

- DORA: Then, one night,

when the Little Chicken went to bed,

he saw a group of stars shaped like a big chicken.

- Cluck?

- DORA: He made a wish on the stars

that he would be big.

- Cluck. Cluck. Cluck.

- DORA: And guess what happened in the morning?

- [snoring, clucking]

- DORA: When the Little Red Chicken woke up,

he wasn't little anymore.

He was a big chicken!

- Huh?

- DORA: He was as big as a house.

The Big Red Chicken was so happy

he did a little dance

by flapping his arms and stamping his feet.

- Cluck! Cluck! Cluck! Cluck!

- That's my favorite story. Bawk! Bawk!

- Mine, too, Big Red Chicken.

- Yeah, yeah. - Mine, too.

- Me, too. - Same here.

- ALL: [laughing]

- Thanks for reading to us, Dora.

- And thanks, Night Light.

We couldn't have had story time

without your super-bright light.

- Yeah. ¡Gracias, gracias! - Thanks, Night Light.

- NIGHT LIGHT: [laughing]

- Hooray, we brought Night Light

to the chicks at the library.

- [fanfare music]

- ALL: We did it!

- ♪ We did it - ♪ We did it

- ♪ We did it - ♪ Yeah, !Lo hicimos!

- ♪ We did it

- ♪ We turned Night Light's crank ♪

♪ To get her to grow bright ♪

♪ We did it - ♪ We did it

- ♪ We did it - ♪ Hooray

- ♪ I was a bright, bright light ♪

- ♪ We read better by her light ♪

- ♪ We did it

- ♪ It's Power Off Day

- ♪ We're saving energy

- ♪ But Night Light shined bright ♪

- ♪ You'll do it for me

- ALL: ♪ Yeah

- We had such an exciting adventure today.

What was your favorite part of the trip?

I liked that, too.

- My favorite part was making Night Light

shine super bright in the cave.

- Whee!

My favorite part was riding

really, really fast on Señor Burro.

- Go, Night Light. Go, Night Light.

- DORA & BOOTS: [laughing]

- And my favorite part was reading the story

to the little chicks with Night Light's help.

Remember, only turn on the lights when you need them.

- And turn them off when you leave the room.

- We couldn't have done it without you.
