04x08 - Hassle in the Castle

Post by bunniefuu »

male narrator: It's another
bright sunshiny day

as once again
we find our friends

on the road to Ecruteak City,

but overhead,
storm clouds are gathering.

- Pika?
- Toge.

[thunder booming]

- It looks like
it's gonna be a big one.

Better find someplace
that's safe.

[thunder booming,
gasping]

- This is bad.

We've got to get inside.

- Good idea but where?

- Pi.
Pika!

- Huh?

- [singing]
Pokémon, Pokémon, Pokémon

- Let's do it.

I wanna be the very best

Like no one ever was

Ever was, ever was

To catch them is my real test

To train them is my cause

My whole life has led to this

Time to test my skills

I know I just can't miss

Gonna show the world

Born to be a winner

- Johto

- Born to be a champion

Born to be a winner

Born to be the very best

- Pokémon
- Johto

- Born to be a winner

Pokémon

[thunder booms]

- Hello.

Is anybody here?

We just want to get out
of the storm.

- It must be empty.

- Pika, pika.

Pika!

- Huh?

- The door's open.

[door creaking]

- Hello.
- Pika.

- This looks like a palace.

- Well, whatever it is,
we're safe.

- Yeah.

[thunder booms,
wincing]

[screaming in distance]

- Huh?
- Did you just hear that?

- It sounded like somebody
screaming.

[screaming in distance]

It's coming from down there.

- Come on.

- Hey, wait for me.

[all gasping]

- It must be a t*rture chamber.

- We got to go save that guy
before it's too late.

Okay, hold it right--

[all gasp]

- Machoke.
Ma.

- Spinar, spinar, spinar.
Spinarak. Spinarak.

- [bleating]
- [wincing]

- Hey, what's going on here?

- Pika.

- Oh.

You must be here
for a treatment session.

We're pretty busy today,
do you have an appointment?

- An appointment?

- No, we don't.

We came to get out of the storm.

- I'm so glad we did.

Hi, pleased to meet you.

My name's Brock,

but you may prefer to call me
by an affectionate nickname

that matches my most endearing
personality trait.

- Well, I--

- If you like strength,
call me "Rocko Brocko."

Romantic,
try "Lover"

or "Brockie," anything.

You can call me any name
that fits me.

Well, what would you like
to call me?

- Why don't you try "insane?"
- Toge, bri!

- Let's start with Brock,
and I'm Dr. Anna.

- Oh, you're a doctor.

I've finally found
the perfect person

to examine my heart,
cure my loneliness,

and treat me with love.

[sighing]

- Dr. Anna, we're ready
for the Zubat scan.

- I have good news.

Your scan
looks perfectly clear.

There's no need to worry.

- That's great news, Doctor.

- You just need to relax.

Why don't you get
a Machoke massage

while you're here?

- Will do.

- Right this way.

- Hmm.

- Amazing.
It's like an ultrasound checkup.

- Ultrasound checkup?

- She uses Zubat's
Supersonic sound waves

to examine her patients
and check their internal health.

- Pika.

- We don't only use Zubat.

We use the special abilities
of a number of Pokémon

in diagnosing and treating
medical problems here.

Machoke's super strength
is perfect for chiropractics,

Spinarak's web
makes a very effective bandage,

and Mareep's electricity

runs our low-voltage
muscle stimulators.

The Pokémon and I
work together.

- [chitters]

- Right, Mimi?

- [chitters]

- Why do you work here

instead of in a hospital,
Doctor?

- The owner of this castle
was my patient,

and when she moved away,

she let me set up
my clinic here.

- Dr. Anna,
it's time to make your rounds.

- Well, back to work.

Time to go, Mimi.

- [chitters]

- Dr. Anna, don't go!

- Huh?

- I may not be a doctor
or live in a castle,

but there's one important thing
we have in common.

Zubat, I choose you!

- [chitters]

- So you have a Zubat too,
Brock.

[chittering]

- Look,
they're a perfect team,

Just like we could be,
Dr. Anna.

I can see us now
working hand in hand

with our Zubat,
all for the good of humanity.

- Well..

- That's gonna be tough, Brock.

Zubat don't have any hands.

- [laughing]
- Toge, toge, bri!

- Well, at least let me
thank you for sheltering us

by allowing my Zubat and I
to assist you on your rounds.

Come on, Doctor,
we can't lose our patients.

- But, I...
Uh...

[chittering]

- Hey, you never know.

Maybe those two'll
make a really good match.

- You must mean the Zubat.

- Pika.

[stomach gurgling]

Pi?

- Toge, bri!

- [laughing]

I just remembered
I'm getting kind of hungry.

- When that big storm came up,
we forgot all about eating.

- We could've knocked
on the front door.

Why did we have to sneak
in the back way, Jessie?

- It's what all the villains do,
James.

- It's better this way.

I get to pussyfoot around,
and I'm good at it.

- [groaning]

[all gasping]

- Which one of you
was making that sound?

- It wasn't us, Jess.

- [groaning]

[screaming]

- What is it?

- Wobbuffet!

- I should've known it was you.

- Wobba.

- It's a good thing
I don't scare easily.

- Hey, I smell something.

- Mmm.

We're so lucky.

- Wobba.

- Mm.

- With this much food,
we can eat for a week.

- Wobba.

- Get back in your Pokéball.

- Wobba.

- We can eat for two weeks
without you around.

- This is great.

We're out of the rain,
sitting in a castle,

and eating like kings.

- It's super nice of you
to feed us like this.

We can't thank you enough.

all: Huh?

both: Hey, Team Rocket!

all: Hey, those two
twerpy little brats.

- So you're training
to be a Pokémon breeder?

- Well, I had been
until I met you today Anna,

but now I'm going to use
my Pokémon in human medicine,

so I can work very closely
with someone like you.

- Look out!

- Huh?

- Coming though!
- Ah!

- Excuse me,
do you have an appointment?

[both shuddering]

- We have no appointment,

but we've been having
some trouble.

- So prescribe us some ointment
on the double.

- To protect us from all
that chafing and itching.

- It might finally stop
all of Jessie's complaining.

- To eradicate the evils
of Athlete's feet.

- Maybe I can get rid of
my prickly heat.

- Jessie.

- James.

- Team Rocket's been scratching
at the speed of light.

- So give us some salve,
or we'll never sleep tonight.

- Meowth, that's right!

Oh?

Hey, come on,
you guys,

grab the grub
and let's get out of here!

- Hold it right there.
Give back that food!

- That's right,
it doesn't belong to you!

- Pika, pika!

- Don't you dimwits realize

that possession
is / s of the law?

- At least in food court.

- If you want this food back,

you're gonna have
to take it back, twerp.

- Then that's exactly
what I'm gonna do, Meowth.

Go, Pikachu!

- Pika!

- Come on, guys,
let's beat it.

- Come back!
Don't go down that hall.

- This must be a shortcut
to the exit.

- We'll be out in no time.

- Hold it!

- No, Anna, wait!

- You don't understand!

[all shouting]

[gasping]

- Pika!
- Toge!

- Brock!
- Dr. Anna!

- Pikachu!

- Who's that Pokémon?

It's Persian!

- [growls]

[all shouting]

- They have some nerve
setting a trap like that.

- We're the ones who have
the patent on pitfalls.

If we ever get out,
I say we sue.

- Are you all right, Brock?

- As long as I'm with you.

- [chittering]

- Look, Anna,
our Zubat are here.

- [chitters]

- There's no way
to climb back out.

- It's completely sealed up.

- Come on.

- Yeah.

- Wait, what do you think
you're doing?

- I'm tired of this place.

We're leaving.

- Maybe we can break into
a nice castle

that isn't booby-trapped.

- "Arrivaducci."

- Stop.
Please don't!

[banging]

[all groaning]

- Looks like
you just hit the wall.

- I think it jumped out
and hit us.

- There's no telling
what'll pop up

in a maze like this.

all: A maze?

- So how do we get out, Anna?

- With this.

- A computer?

- Mimi, Supersonic.

[warbling]

- Hey, you downloaded

it's Supersonic scan
to your laptop.

- Cyber.

- Unfortunately, Mimi's scan
didn't cover the whole maze.

- I'll take care of that.

Zubat, use your Supersonic too.

[warbling]

- Thanks, Brock.

- See, their Supersonic waves
harmonize perfectly

just like we do, Anna.

- Well,
according to the computer,

we should take the passage
on the right.

- This castle
has miles of underground mazes.

They could be looking
for a way out for days.

- There's got to be
some way out.

- According to this old map,

there's one exit right here
in the middle of the woods.

[chittering]

- That's strange.

- What is it?

- It looks like both routes
are dangerous.

- We could all be trapped here
for the rest of our lives.

- Well, that's that.

Let's take a break
and make a sandwich.

- The map says
this is where the exit is.

- Yeah, but it's been
all covered over.

- Then we'll just have
to dig it out.

Ready, everybody?

- Geodude!
- Pika!

- Bri!

- [yawning]

- I wish she would hurry up.

- What's the big rush?

I'm getting to like it
down here.

[warbling]

- I think
this is gonna take a while.

I can't find any exits.

- [grunts]
I'm not waiting any longer.

both: Huh?

- What else can we do?

- That's not such a good idea.

Wait!

- I'm not afraid.

She who dares, wins.

That's my motto.

Now who's got the guts
to follow me into the unknown?

- Wobbuffet!

- Uh?
Wobbuffet, what're you saying?

Do you want to follow me
into the unknown?

- Wobba.

[shimmering]

- Oh, how touching.

All right, onward!

- Wobbuffet!

- Jessie, no!

- [shouting]

Oof!

- Now I see.

As one route's taken,

the other route
becomes safe to use.

- Wobbuffet.

- He, I thought you
were the fall guy.

[straining]

- Pineco.
- Toge, toge, toge, toge!

- Pineco.

Pineco.
- Toge, toge, toge, toge!

- Geodude, dude.

Geodude.
Geodude.

- Stop.

- Huh?
- Huh?

- That's weird.

We should be able to keep going.

- The computer says
it's another kind of obstacle.

[chittering]

- I want to get out of here.

- I say we shouldn't start
looking to leave

till all our food runs out.

- You do what you want,
but I'm leaving.

Are you with me, Wobbuffet?

- Wobbuffet.

- Ah!
It's dangerous!

- Of course it's dangerous
but not for me.

- Wobbuffet!

- Bon voyage, Wobbuffet.

- Wobbuffet!

- It's all clear.

Let's go.

- It just hit me.

The trap mechanism
must be triggered

whenever somebody
walks across the floor.

- Wobbuffet.

- It just hit me too.

- Wobbuffet.

[metallic clanking]

- Huh?

Hey, look.
- Ah!

- [gasps]

- Anna, do you see a way out?

[chittering]

- No, but our Zubat seem to.

- Yeah, this is great!

[thinking]
Now she'll finally realize

that we can be
as perfect together

as our Zubat are.

I told you, Doctor.

I mean Anna.

I told you
that we could be a great team

just like our Zubat.

- I know you did, Brock,

but it was just too wonderful,
I couldn't believe you.

- Yes, it is wonderful,
Anna,

and the most wonderful thing
ever,

and soon we'll look just like
our Zubat.

[chittering]

[bells tolling]

- Congratulations.

- See you at the reception.

- Pika, pika!
- Toge, bri!

- Well, we're going
straight to the honeymoon,

but drop by and see us
on your way back

from the Johto League
competition.

I'll use
our Zubat's Supersonic waves

to give checkups to you
and Misty and Pikachu and Togepi

and all of the Pokémon,

and if I find any problems,
I can cure 'em

using the treatments
I'll learn from Anna.

- Those Zubat
certainly are talented.

- You said it.

- Yes, and that's exactly why
we're going to steal them.

- Huh?
- Oh?

- You heard right.

They are talented,

and when we get out of here,

those talents
will earn us cold hard cash.

[chittering]

- They found it!

It's the exit.

We can get out now.

- It's the exit to the maze,

but the door's stuck.

Okay, guys, come on.
Let's push.

[all straining]

- You did an excellent job.
Thank you both.

[gasps]

What do you think you're doing?

- We're grabbing the Zubat
and leaving.

- And don't try to stop us.

- Wobbuffet.

- Hmm...
- Stop!

- Huh?
- Come back here with our Zubat!

- Ah!

- We'll just let ourselves out,
Doctor.

- See you.

[crashing]

[all groaning]

- Are you seeing new patients?

- Wobba.

- I just heard a big clunk
from inside.

- Let's push harder.

Must be Brock and the others.

- We pushed as hard as we could,
but it won't budge.

- What can we do?

- Pineco.

- Pineco, no!

- It's Selfdestructing!

- Pineco.

Pineco.

[expl*si*n]

[shouting]

[chittering]

- Anna, I hope you're all right.

- Yes, thanks to you I am.

- Well, I try.

Hey, my Zubat's okay.

- So's Mimi.

- Well, what should we do now?

[muffled groaning]

- Wobbuffet.

- Pineco.

- Hey, Brock.

- Pikachu!

- Anna.

- Doctor, are you all right?

- Yes.
We're all just fine now.

- Pineco, thanks for
using Selfdestruct on that door.

- Pineco.
Pineco.

- Wow, it's so dark.

You can hardly see in there.
- Pika.

- Hey, wasn't Team Rocket
in there too?

- Pi.

Pika!
- Pikachu!

- Pikachu!

[laughter]

- If we can't have the Zubat,
we'll settle for this.

- Gimme back my Pikachu!

- Wobbuffet!

[all groan]

- Perfect timing.
- Let's go.

- Pikachu!

- Look, bottled pika-juice.

[laughing]
- Pika, pi!

- Weezing,
use your SmokeScreen!

- Weezing.
Weez!

- Ah!

- Go, Zubat, hurry!

- Mimi, help blow
that SmokeScreen away.

[chittering]

- Good work, Zubat.

- Go, Arbok,
use your Poison Sting!

- Charboka!

- Zubat,
use your Supersonic attack!

[warbling]

- Charbok?

Cha...

Char!

- Why's Arbok aiming at us?

- Supersonic's
got it all mixed up!

- [chitters]

- Guys, look!

- It's evolving.

- [chitters]

- Now it's a...

- Golbat, the bat Pokémon,
the evolved form of Zubat.

It has four sharp fangs

and emits Supersonic waves
more powerful than Zubat's.

- Ha!
Look at you now.

- Char...

- Quick, Arbok,
aim your Poison Sting at Golbat!

- Charbok!

- Golbat, use your Wing Attack!

- Char!

- Use Supersonic now!

[surging]

- Char...
- Weezing.

- Great job, Golbat.
You're awesome.

- Goodness.

It's so powerful.

[electricity surging]

- Charbok.
- Weezing.

- Ah!

- Pi!
Pika!

- Pikachu,
how about a ThunderShock?

- Pikachu...

- It looks like...

- We're in for...

- A big shock.

- Pikachu!

[all shouting]

[expl*si*n]

- I'm simply devastated.

- I'm kind of hungry.

all: Team Rocket's
blasting off again.

- Wobba, wob!

- [singing]
Pokémon Johto

Pokémon Johto

- There, how does that feel,
Brock?

- It feels lots better.
Thanks.

Well, Golbat,
I guess from now on

we'll be using your Supersonic

to help Dr. Anna
and her patients.

- I'm very impressed
with how strong your Golbat is.

I've never seen
a Supersonic attack

with that kind of power before.

- [thinking]
Mmm...

Now Anna and I can work
side-by-side forever and ever.

- It's too strong.

- Yes, our love is
too strong,

but look, we'll get--

- Oh, Brock, I'm sorry.

I meant
your Golbat's too strong.

[glass cracking]

- Ugh!

- When I tried to measure

the strength
of your Golbat's Supersonic,

it overloaded my computer.

I've never seen a Supersonic
that strong.

I'm very impressed.
- Uh?

- Some Pokémon's powers
aren't nearly so developed

so soon after evolving.

It proves
you raised your Zubat well.

I'm sure you'll make
a fine breeder someday.

- Yeah...

Thanks, Anna...

- Poor old Brock
never gets a break, does he?

- Toge, toge, bri!

[chittering]

- Thanks again.

- So long.
- Pika, pika!

- Good-bye, Anna.

[all speaking at once]

- Good-bye now.

- See you.

- [chittering]

narrator: And so,
after a dark and stormy night,

the sun is shining,

and our heroes
are back on the road.

Too bad Brock
didn't get the girl,

but at least he got the Golbat.

Better luck next time, Brocko.

- Let's do it.

[singing]
