- Hoobledoob tiddlypeeps!
I'm Hubba Hubba
talking to you from Hoobland
and I'm about to send
four of my favorite Hoobs
down to earth to find
out all about you
for my great Hoobapedia.
Here they come!
(opening credits music playing)
- You know who the Hoobs are!
- Iver! - Groove! - And Tula!
- We're Hoobs!
- And they're ready to go!
Now the wheels are turning,
we can all get learning.
All the things we want to know.
Hubba Hubba
in Hoobland
and Roma somewhere far away.
Ooo Ooo Ooo!
The motorettes are singing,
- We keep the engines spinning!
- Hoob Hoob Hooray!
(credits music continues)
The Hoobmobile is
coming your way!
- Haha whoa!
- Haha whay!
- Ohhh!
- The Hoobs are here
so what do you say!
- Hoobs!
(Tula humming)
- What are you making Tula?
- A toy!
I just have to decide what kind.
- Look what I've just found
oustide the Hoobmobile.
And listen to this, it
squeaks when you squeeze it.
(toy squeaking)
(Hoobs laughing)
- What are you going
to call it Groove?
- Um, how about Squeaky?
Do you like that name, Squeaky?
(toy squeaking)
(Hoobs laughing)
(dog barking)
- What was that noise?
- It was squeaky, listen.
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- No, no, no not squeaky
That funny "woof
woof woof" noise
- (Groove) Oh, I don't know.
- It's a dog, come
and have a look!
- Ooooo!
(music playing)
- You're right Tula!
Isn't he hoobacious!
- He's given me an idea,
I'm going to make a toy dog!
- A toy dog Tula? That
sounds hooby groovy
doesn't it squeaky.
(toy squeaking)
(dog barking)
- That dog must have
a nice home to go to.
But he's just sitting
out there going
woof woof woof
I wonder why.
- (singing) Why, why, why
Why!
- Do you know why, Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
No, neither do I
- I know, the dog
must be saying hello
so it wants us to
say hello back!
- Wow that's easy,
come on Groove!
Let's all give him
a big hooby hello!
- Hoobledoo, hoobledoo,
woo, woo, woo!
- He's not going "woof" anymore
- That was it then, now I can
get back to making my toy dog
- Yes, and uh I can start
thinking about a question
for today's Hoob News!
Um
Have you got any ideas Groove?
- Uh, no I haven't. Have
you got any ideas Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
No, sorry.
- There goes that woof again!
- What can we do to stop the
dog outside the hoobmobile
going woof woof.
(Hubba calling)
- It's Hubba Hubba.
- What can we do to stop the dog
outside the hoobmobile
going woof woof.
That is a fantaffyhooby
question for you answer
on Hoob News.
Just the sort of thing
that hoobs everywhere
will want to look up
in my great Hoobapedia.
- Hubba Hubba, is
there any information
on Hoobnet about why
dogs make that noise?
- I believe there is Iver.
Take a look at this.
(searching noise)
- Ooooo!
Hahaha, look at those two.
(dog barking)
- Oh, he's barking!
Jumping and catching!
Ooo, he's barking!
I wonder if he wants something?
Oh how lovely!
Oh where's he going?
Oh he was thirsty!
(dog barking)
Hm, I wonder why
they're barking?
Ah, perhaps they were
barking for their food!
- Maybe the dog outside
the bus is hungry?
- What about a hooby cookie?
- Everybody likes hooby cookies,
so dogs must like
hooby cookies too!
You like hooby cookies
don't you squeaky?
(toy squeaking and
Groove laughing)
(dog barking)
- Well, it's worth
a try isn't it.
I will go and see if
the dog is hungry!
(music playing)
- Look! He's gobbling it down!
- And he isn't going
woof woof anymore!
- He must've really hungry!
- So that's the answer then!
All the dog wanted
was something to eat!
- Look I finished cutting
out the dog shape for my toy!
- The dog will probably go
home now, right Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Oh no! He still
wants something!
But what?
- (singing) What?
What?
What? What? What?
What? What? What?
What?
What? What? What?
- I have an idea
which may help you work out
what the dog wants hoobs!
Why don't you go and
ask some tiddlypeeps!
- Great idea, Hubba Hubba!
- Ooo, I wonder if the
dog will follow us!
- Oh, I think he might Tula.
He certainly seems to
want something from you!
- Right, let's go!
- I'll drive!
- And I'll just stay here
and talk to you Squeaky.
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
Follow us to the
tiddlypeeps little dog!
They'll know what you want!
(toy squeaking)
- Seat belt!
- (Together) We're off
to see the tiddlypeeps!
(music playing)
- Yee haw!
- We're off to see
the tiddlypeeps,
on the road we go!
We're off to see the tiddlypeeps
- They're smart! -
They're fun! - They know!
- The tiddlypeeps,
the tiddlypeeps help
us find things out
they give us clues,
they tells us news
that's what they're all about!
(music continues)
- Yoo hoo!
- (Motorettes) The
tiddlypeeps, the tiddlypeeps,
if we need to know,
who, what, where,
why, when and how
we'll ask them, off we go
Yoo hoo!
We're off to see the
tiddlypeeps, on the road we go
We're off to see
the tiddlypeeps,
they're smart, they're
fun, they know!
(music ends)
- Hey tiddlypeeps!
- It's Iver!
- Won't you do a hooby hello?
- Yeah!
- Come on! Hoobledoo
Hoobledoo woo woo woo!
I am so pleased to see you,
because there is something
you can all help me with
Something I don't understand.
Why does this dog
keep making a noise?
- What noise?
- Well this noise, like
um "woof woof woof"
- You mean barking!
- Oh so that's what
the noise is called!
Why is he barking?
- He's not barking now.
- No, no that's strange!
I wonder why he stopped.
- Probably because you've
taken him for a walk.
- You think so?
- When dogs want to go for a
walk they have to bark a lot.
- Oh I see! Oh so now
he's having a walk,
he doesn't need to bark anymore!
So is barking the
only noise dog's make?
- No! Dogs make all
sorts of noises.
- Like what?
(children making dog noises)
- Yes, thank you! I think
I've got the idea now.
Thank you. Tula, Groove, Groove?
Dogs make all sorts of
noises, not just woof woof.
Yes, um, thank you tiddlypeeps.
hoobletoodledoo!
- Hoobletoodledoo!
- Come on doggy! Walk this way!
(music plays)
(Groove making dog noises)
- Where's the dog?
- Oh, he, um, stayed outside.
He's not going to
bark at us anymore.
I've taken him for a walk.
- Groove? What are you doing?
- I'm making dog noises
like the tiddlypeeps,
what else?
(Groove making dog noises)
- Groove!
- (Groove singing)
I'll tell you a noise
that a dog might make
when its running round and round
or it's jumped in a lake.
It may be a young pup
or long in the tooth
the dog will still
go woof woof woof!
(music playing)
- (All singing) scratching
at the back door
running in the park
What are they after?
Why do they bark?
- (Tula singing) But small dogs
make quite different sounds
from Yorkies and
Scotties to Basset Hounds
They'll wake you up
when you're having a nap
these dogs will all go yap!
Yap!
(music playing)
- (All singing) Scratching
at the back door
running in the park
What are they after?
Why do they bark?
(music playing)
(all making dog noises)
- (Iver singing)
What would they say
if these dogs could talk?
How about some dinner?
How about a walk?
They ask for these
things I'll tell you how
They go bow wow!
- (all singing) Bow
wow! Bow wow wow!
(all making dog noises)
- Ah that was fun!
Let's do Hoob News!
- Yes, because no we know
that thing we had to do
to stop the dog from
going "bow wow wow",
was to take him for a walk
- Aren't we clever
little Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Oh no, I knew it was too easy!
- Oh, here's Roma
Maybe she'll know how to
make the dog stop barking
Hoobledoob Roma!
- Hoobledoob hoobs!
I'm reporting from a
field in the countryside.
Hubba Hubba sent me
a message earlier
about your barking dog.
Now a moment ago, there was
a lovely shaggy dog here!
And I was going to
throw him this ball
so he could chase it. Dog's
just love chasing things!
And get this, for some dogs
chasing things is there job!
Police dogs, racing
dogs, and sheep dogs.
All of them chase
things for a job!
- Where's the dog now, Roma?
- Well just as I was
about to throw this ball
for the dog to chase, he spotted
a field of sheep over there
and he was off.
That's because he's a sheep dog
and he chases sheep
to help the farmer.
There was no stopping him.
I'm off to find him now
to see if I can
interest him in my ball.
I know! Perhaps if I bark
I can get his attention.
(Roma barking)
Come on dog! Where are you?
(Roma barking)
This is Roma Hoob
signing off to go and
play ball with a dog.
Hoobatoodledoo!
(Roma barking)
- Oh dear! Now even
Roma is barking.
- Yes! And now we know that
dogs like chasing things.
So, maybe our dog wants
to chase something.
- You can pretend that
you're sheep, Iver
and the dog can chase you!
- Yes! Iver the sheep! Yes!
- But I don't want to be a
sheep! I like being a hoob!
- Squeaky things you should
be a sheep. Don't you Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
Yeah you'd make a hooby
groovy sheep Iver.
- Huh, do you really think so?
Well I suppose if it chases
me and stops barking then
we've answered the
question haven't we?
Okay, I'll be a sheep.
- Yes!
- Oh, I've got just the
thing for you to wear, Iver.
A tiddlypeep gave it to me.
Said it was just my color.
- But it's pink! I've never
seen a pink sheep before!
- Ah but that's the clever bit.
The dog won't have seen
a pink sheep either.
And that will make him want
to chase you all the more!
Now all you have to
do is baa! Off you go!
- Baa!
Baa!
Baa!
- Let's go and watch him
- (Motorettes singing)
Baa baa pink sheep
have you any wool?
Yes hoobs! Yes hoobs!
Three bags full!
One bag for Tula and
one bag for Groove!
And one for the motorettes
who make the bus move.
Baa!
Baa baa pink sheep
running from the dog!
- Run Iver! Run Iver!
Faster than a jog.
- Iver's getting very tired
and running out of puff!
- But at least the little
dog has stopped his
woof woof woof!
- At least the little dog has
stopped his woof woof woof!
- Look! It worked!
The dog stopped barking
because he chased Iver!
- Ohh! Ohh! It's hard
work being a sheep.
I'm sheeped out!
- It worked though.
I am now going to
stuff my dog toy
with scrunched up paper
and it will be finished.
- Phew, I need a rest.
Wake me up when it's
time for Hoop News.
- A nap! I'm with you Iver.
(toy squeaking and
Groover and Iver laugh)
(dog barking)
- Oh, not again! Will that
dog ever stop barking?
- Now what does it want?
(Hubba Hubba calling)
- Hoobledoob Hoobs! Or
should I say woof woof?
Now don't go worrying
your hoobyheads
I found a hoobacious
dog story on hoobnet
that I think might help
you to answer the question.
Take a look.
(music playing)
- (Narrator) Duna the dog
just loved to bury her bone.
She also loved her
owner, Mr. Greenfinger.
Now Mr. Greenfinger
loved his garden
And Duna would bury her
bone in his flowerbeds,
under his bushes, and even
in the middle of his lawn.
"Bad dog, go and find
somewhere else to dig."
So Duna ran off to the woods
and started to dig under a tree.
But she sprayed
leaves over some elves
who were having a picnic.
"Bad dog!"
"Go and find
somewhere else to dig"
So Duna took her
bone to a muddy field
and started to dig in the mud
but the earthworms
weren't happy with this.
"Bad dog, go and find
somewhere else to dig"
Duna ran to the beach,
where she saw some pirates
and guess what they
were doing? Digging!
"Hooray!" Cried Duna.
"At last, I've found
somewhere where its okay
to be a digger!"
So Duna started to dig.
She sprayed sand all
over the pirates.
"Bad dog!" One of them shouted.
Duna was very upset.
"If a dog can't dig on the
beach, where can a dog dig?"
she thought. But suddenly,
the pirates saw a shiny thing
deep down in the hole
that Duna had dug.
"Look! The dog dug
up our treasure."
"Just what we were looking for"
"Good dog!"
Cried the pirates.
Duna wagged her tail.
She was so happy.
She never dug up
the garden again.
"Good dog Duna!"
Said Mr. Greenfinger.
"The best dog in the world!"
- So dogs like burying bones!
Maybe the dog outside
the bus is barking
because it wants a bone to bury.
- Exactly what I thought Tula.
So I've asked Hubba Hubba
to order us a bone from Hoobnet.
Ah that must be it now!
- This is the biggest
bone I have ever seen!
Look at the size of that devil.
What do you think squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Right, let's see if it
stops the dog going woof woof!
- Yeah!
- It will take ages
to bury that bone.
That dog is not going to
bark for a long long time.
- Yes, sorted eh?
Oh, how's your little
dog coming along Tula?
- Oh I just need to
sew up the last bit!
- And there we are!
No more woof woof
woofs from that dog!
Thank goodness he's burying
that bone for all he's worth.
- Yes we have the answer.
- And Squeaky wants
to congratulate us!
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Oh no, I don't believe it!
(Hubba Hubba calling)
- Do you believe it Hubba Hubba?
- No, not really Iver.
Maybe you should take the
dog to see more tiddlypeeps.
We need more information or we
won't be ready for Hoob News!
- I know! I know! You go
Groove, it's your turn!
- My turn?
- Yes, Groove! All you've done
is squeak Squeaky all day.
- Well Squeaky's got a lot
to say, haven't you Squeaky?
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Well take Squeaky with you!
Come on, I'll drive.
(music playing)
- (Motorettes singing) We're
off to see the tiddlypeeps,
on the road we go.
We're off to see
the tiddlypeeps.
- They're smart! -
They're fun! - They know!
- (Motorettes singing) The
tiddlypeeps, the tiddlypeeps
if we need to know
who, what, where,
why, when and how
we'll ask them off we go
- Ohh!
- (Iver) Yee Haw!
- (Motorettes singing) We're
off to see the tiddlypeeps
on the road we go.
We're off to see the tiddlypeeps
They're smart! They're
fun! They know!
(music playing)
- Hoodledoob tiddlypeeps!
- Hoodleboob Groove!
- Hey tiddlypeeps, I'm
so glad I found you.
I need to know why this dog
keeps barking all the time.
(dog barking)
He's been fed and he's
had hoobloads of exercise
but he's still going
woof woof woof?
He's been driving us hoobs
crazy! Do you have any ideas?
- Maybe he wants to be petted!
- Maybe!
- See! He really loves it!
- Hoobygalooby, he
does doesn't he?
- Patting and stroking the dog
is the one thing
we didn't think of.
You tiddlypeeps are
so clever, thank you!
Hey tiddlypeeps
do you want to see something
really hooby groovy?
- Yes please!
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- Look at this
squeaky toy I found.
His name is Squeaky!
Say hello to the
tiddlypeeps, Squeaky.
(toy squeaking and dog barking)
- That's a dog's toy!
- Dog toy? I didn't
know dogs had toys.
- Oh yes,
especially ones they can
put in their mouth and chew!
- Especially, squeaky ones!
- And do you think this
squeaky toy belongs to the dog?
- Yes and I think he
would like it back.
- So that's why he's
barking. Here you go doggy.
- Oh well, bye squeaky
toy. Nice knowing you.
- Time to go back to
the hoobmobile now
so thank you for all
your help, tiddlypeeps!
Hoobletoodledoo!
- Hoobletoodledoo!
(music playing)
- Hoobletoodledoo
Dog! Hoobletoodledoo!
Oh he looks very happy
now he's going home
with his squeaky toy.
- Now I'm happy too but
I will miss Squeaky.
- Well miss him no more.
Here you go Groove!
I've been making this
toy for you all along.
It's a dog like Squeaky
but it doesn't squeak.
It scrunches.
- A toy dog for
me! That scrunches.
Ah hoobygalooby!
Thank you Tula!
Let me give you a hoobledigger.
Hooble Hooble digga
digga digga digga digga!
- What are you going
to call it Groove?
- I don't know, how
about Scrunchie!
(Hubba Hubba calling)
- Are you ready with
your news hoobs?
Ready to give me what you've got
on what to do to make
a dog stop barking
for my hoobapedia?
- Yes we are Hubba
Hubba! Come on!
Okay, okay.
We're ready!
Are we ready? No, no
that's wrong. Eh hem.
We're ready!
(music playing)
Hoobledoop woo to all
you hoobs out there!
Welcome to Hoob News!
The news show for hoobs
everywhere. I'm Iver.
- I'm Tula.
- And I'm Groove.
- And today we've been
asking the question
- What can we do to stop the
dog outside the hoobmobile
going woof woof.
It all started, when I
found my friend Squeaky
lying outside the bus.
I introduced him to everyone
and then a dog started
going woof woof woof.
- (Tula) At first
we thought the dog
just wanted to say hello.
So we said hello.
- (Groove) But that wasn't it
because soon it went
woof woof woof again.
- (Iver) Then hubba hubba
showed us some pictures
of dogs he'd found on hoobnet
and one of them seemed
to be asking for food.
- (Groove) We gave the
dog some hoobycookies
but he still went
woof woof woof.
- (Iver) Then we went
to see some tiddlypeeps.
They had some very
interesting information.
- When dogs want to go for a
walk they have to bark a lot.
- So so, is barking the
only noise dogs make?
- No, dogs makes
all sorts of noises.
- Like what?
(children making dog noises)
- (Tula) We liked
those sounds so much
we tried to make them too.
Then Roma showed us that
dogs like chasing things,
especially sheep.
- Get this, for some dogs,
chasing things is their job!
Police dogs, racing
dogs, and sheep dogs.
- (Iver) Then Hubba Hubba
sent us a story about a dog,
Who liked burying bones.
So we go the dog an
enormous bone to bury!
But then it barked again.
- (Tula) Groove went to
see the tiddlypeeps again,
who showed us that dogs like
to be stroked and patted.
- (Iver) But it turned out the
reason was barking at us was
- (Groove) I had its squeaky
toy. Here ya go doggy.
So what do we do to stop the
dog from going woof woof woof?
Give him back his
toy, which I did.
But don't worry, because
Tula made me another toy!
Say hello Scrunchie!
- And so its thanks once again
to Iver, Tula, Groove and Roma
for giving us all a little
peep into the world of peeps.
And remember wherever you
are, have a lovely day
and hoobletoodledoo!
- Hoobletoodledoo!
- Well what do you
think of that Scrunchie?
(toy scrunching
and hoobs barking)
Aw it was you two!
