the wonderful Pokémon on Poni Island!

I wanna battle somebody strong

from this island,

but Hapu doesn't seem to wanna battle me.

from my garden.

to Vast Poni Canyon.

wandering off to who knows where.

I'm a dedicated treasure hunter.

to go on an extended journey.

Since that's what Kanoa wants to do,

I'm going to go along with him.

The Bug Stone is a world-famous stone

that allows any kind of Bug-type Pokémon

to evolve, see?

-[gasps]

As you can see,

my Charjabug already evolved.

-[growls]

[chuckles]

It isn't evolving. But why? Why not?

Come on!

Uh... It's just a guess.

But I don't think that stone

really has any special powers.

The powerful magnetic field around here

is what made my Charjabug evolve.

[sighs]

[Ash] I hope Sophocles is okay.

-I think we should go and see.

-Mm-hm.

[growling]

[yelling]

[growls]

-Good to see you, guys.

-[Ash] Sophocles!

It evolved into a Vikavolt?

-Whoa, congrats!

-Pika!

-[Ash] So cool!

-Well, you know.

-Nice going, Charjabug!

-[chatters]

[Rotom] Vikavolt, the Stag Beetle Pokémon.

A Bug and Electric type.

Vikavolt flies around, waiting to attack.

With its large jaws, it fires gathered

electrical energy at its opponent.

[Horacio groans]

[Dana] Horacio, you made it out.

[Yansu] You okay?

You just wait!

I'll train hard, and next time,

my Charjabug will evolve!

And then we'll have our Vikavolt race.

-Let's go!

-You've got it!

-Okay.

-[Dana] Not that way!

Oopsie, the stairs are over there.

[Horacio] Now you tell me.

-A Vikavolt race sounds like a lot of fun.

-Uh-huh.

And we'll give it all we've got then, too.
