They make their homes in dry, desert-like areas.


Cool! So those are Maractus.


And, they certainly know how to dance with good taste.


Course when it comes to dancing, I'm the best!

We're on our way to Nimbasa City so we can audition


for their famous Pokémon Musical!


Pokémon Musical? Wow!


That's the show we got called up on stage for..

Well, the thing is, uh--


The Pokémon Musical! It's the stage of dreams.


CILAN Complete with splendid


glorious costumes!


A delicious blend of dramatic dance and music!


Topped off by an elegant and moving curtain call.


The ultimate in entertainment


as well as a feast for the senses!


Oh, duh!


And, auditioning for them will give us a chance


to actually stand on that dream stage.


But, for now, we're planning to enter this towns


Pokémon Performance Competition.


Pokémon Performance Competition?



Yeah, look over there.


TOBY 'It's where Trainers get


to show off' their own original performances.


This competition's a great way to get in shape


for our audition.


But we're still having a few problems with our grand finale.


What would that be?


TOBY Okay, Tussy stands on Marra


and Racca's outstretched arms and uses Sunny Day.


Then, Petal Dance and Pin m*ssile light up


to make a rainbow!


Rainbow? That sounds amazing!


Would it be alright if we helped out?

I'm with Ash, you know, I'll just bet we could help you


get your grand finale move in great shape!


With the assistance of our Pokémon, of course.

You need a good sense of rhythm to dance well.

I'm afraid they've got a little bit more than a jumping problem.


I think Tussy's landings got to be timed so that


it's in sync with Marra and Racca.


You're right, but the question is


how do I get all three of them in sync?


- Let's have a Pokémon battle. - Huh?


- What's that gonna do? - Of course, a triple battle.


A triple battle?


Right, you can't win one unless


all three of your Pokémon are in perfect sync.


Which means a Triple Battle is the perfect solution.


Great idea, Cilan, let's do it, Toby. What do you say, huh?


- Sure, I'm right there. - Then it's all set.


But, Ash, have you ever had a Triple Battle before?


What're you saying? Of course, I haven't.


Right. That's what I thought.


[WORRIED]


ASH/CILAN/IRIS Who's that Pokémon?


ASH/CILAN/IRIS It's Maractus.


MARRACTUS [HAPPY]

I've always had a dream that a huge crowd like this


could gather back in my hometown.


- Huh? - That's quite a dream.


Why is that?


My hometown is small.


TOBY It's a coal mining town


stuck out in the middle of nowhere.


My favorite memory as a kid is going to see


the local performance of a Pokémon Musical.


'Wow, I'll never forget all the singing and dancing'


and I'll never forget how much fun everybody had.


All of a sudden, I saw the most beautiful rainbow


right at the end.


Well, the years passed, the coal mine closed


and people started to move away.


That Pokémon Musical was the last time


we were all together.


Then, one day..


Huh?


TOBY I met the Maractus!


Then, I looked up and saw a huge rainbow in the sky.


And it hit me.


If I could put on a musical with the Maractus


maybe the people would come back to town.


Hey, Maractus! [SURPRISED]


How'd you like to put on a musical with me?


You could dance and perform in front of a huge crowd.


It'll be a lot of fun!


[INTERESTED]


[EXCITED]


So, if we can just pass the audition


to get into the Pokémon Musical, then the Maractus Trio


can become big star performers.


And, if that happens, your dream will come true!


I'll bet you came up with the name, Over The Rainbow


from those two rainbows you saw, right?


Right! And if we can just perfect the move


for our big grand finale, we'll pass for sure.
