[announcer] Here, a mysterious discovery has been made-- Colossus Ruins!

Lots of Pokémon are showing up there!

I bet you that Colossus thing is a Pokémon!

Yeah! I was thinking the same thing!

-[Ash grunts] -[Goh] Look out, Unova region Pokémon.

Here I come!

Oh. So how do we get there?

-I thought you were working on that. -You mean you didn’t come with a plan?

Neither did you!

-Pi. Pika. -[steam hisses]

-[screams] -Pikachu!

[pained panting]

Say, this must be one very hot desert.

[hums]

[Goh] The heat doesn’t bother Scorbunny.

-Scorbunny. -[Ash] Scorbunny is a Fire type.

[screams]

-Got ya. -[thuds]

[Ash] So... How do we cross it?

[woman] Do not underestimate the Desert Resort!

-[grunts] -Ah!

-[growls] -[both scream]

-[long growl] -Watch out! That's Overheat!

[pained sigh]

[rotom] Darmanitan has been registered to your Pokédex!

Darmanitan. The Blazing Pokémon. A Fire type.

It has an internal temperature of , degrees,

which gives it enough power to break a dump truck apart.

-Pika. -[Scorbunny groans]

That surprised you, didn’t it? Pikachu? Scorbunny?

-[man] Excuse me. -[both] Huh?

[man] Just checking. Are you all right?

Whoa! That Litwick is talking!

I kinda doubt it.

Greetings. I am the leader of the ruins excavation team.

Litwick is on the team as well, handling illumination.

[deep sigh] It sure gave me quite a shock.

It sounds like an adventure to me! You know?

[Leader] In ancient times, this was the site of the border of a city.

It’s said that the people there constructed the Colossus

so they could protect the city they loved.

-That’s awesome! -Yeah.

Right here, you’ll notice the key...

I think I’ve seen that map before, or maybe not.

-Boss! Excuse me! -[Leader] Yes?

[man] We found more ancient writings!

[Leader] Great! Let’s go! Adventure calls!

Time for a brand-new adventure! You know? You know?

So, as you two proceed inside, be very careful as you make your way...

to adventure!

Now what could be better?

-[Pikachu] Pikachu! -[Scorbunny] Oh!

[Ash] Pikachu! Be careful!

[Goh] Scorbunny, take your time!

-Pikachu! -Scorbun!

-[growls] -Huh?

[both scream]

It’s a Sandile!

[rotom] Sandile. The Desert Croc Pokémon. A Ground and Dark type.

Sandile digs into the hot desert sands to keep from losing heat.

It lives most of its life in hiding.

-[barks] -[both scream]

[barking]

-Pikachu! -[electricity zaps]

Electric-type moves won’t work on Sandile!

Pika!

Now, use Double Kick!

Scorbun!

[grunts] Scorbun!

-[growling] -Pika!

-Scorbunny. -[thuds]

All right, Poké Ball, go!

-Pika-pika! -[Sandile growling]

[whirring]

-[panting] -Ha!

That’s awesome! You did it!

[rotom] Sandile has been newly registered to your Pokédex!

That’s our second Pokémon from Unova!

When the excavation leader talked about adventure, was this what he meant?

-[screeching] -[Pokémon scream]

When he said adventure, he must’ve meant this.

And also when he warned us to be careful!

[loud thud]

[all scream]

[grunting]

[both screaming and panting]

When a person is inside it, their weight tends to push it downward.

It’s so big!

Golurk is normally a little over nine feet tall,

but this one is almost double that!

We figured out the ancient writings!

[grunts]

It's not really an adventure. It’s a Golurk!

And it’s colossal!

[crackles]

-[laser zaps] -[Ash screams, grunts]

That Golurk is the city’s protection, built by people from ancient times!

Golurk only awakens to fight! It attacks anything it sees!

That Colossus is really dangerous!

[rotom] Golurk. The Automaton Pokémon. A Ground and Ghost type.

It is said that ancient peoples created Golurk for heavy manual labor.

It is completely loyal to its master’s orders.

-Golurk! -[slams]

[Golurk growls]

-What do we do now? -[Golurk growls]

It may be the Colossus, but it’s still a Pokémon, right?

I like that! We should battle!

Hey, Ash. I think we should make this a Raid Battle!

No matter who catches it...

The Colossus sends forth a blinding light,

destroying every enemy before it!

It's certainly earned the name Colossus in every way!

Dragonite and Darmanitan should strike together!

We’ve gotta do it before it attacks again!

[Goh] Right!

[both growl]

[powering up]

[grunts]
