For some reason Combusken's

giving off a tremendous amount of heat.

My Torkoal used to store up a lot of power like that

using Overheat.

Absol, stop Combusken from concentrating like that

and use Razor Wind.

He sure knows how to raise Pokémon.

Dumb luck.

When I say dumb I mean it.

We're lookin' good with Overheat.

It's a powerful attack and will score a lot of points

but the big problem with an intense attack like Overheat

is it starts to get weaker and weaker every time you use it.

PIKACHU/AIPOM [URGING]

LILLIAN 'At the moment Drew's managing to hold the lead'

'but will May play a little catch up?'

Drew.

DREW Man, that girl never fails to surprise me.

MAY Now that Combusken's come up with this awesome new move

I've just got to win this.

Alright Combusken, jump up, then Overheat.

LILLIAN 'What an overwhelming sight.'

'and that's just what happened.'

If she keeps that up she's bound to lose.

LILLIAN 'What a turnaround.'

'Absol's extinguished all of Combusken's flames'

'while taking on the most amazing sparkly glow.'

May Drew knows how to raise Pokémon that resist attacks

and then turn them to their advantage.

Your Overheat's getting a lot weaker

and now you're just trying to get as close.

LILLIAN 'A perfect Razor Wind hit.'

You see, when that Overheat

smashed directly into the Water Pulse

I'm sure May did that to weaken its power which is why

Combusken survived, and was able to turn around

and then counter.

You think May was looking that far ahead?

No doubt. It shows how far May's come with her battle skills.

Hmm.

There's nothing more obnoxious than being short-sheeted by

a shrimp and someday

I'm going to pound that puny punk.

That battle took my breath away.
