Goh's goal is to catch one of every kind of Pokémon, including Mew.

This is the story of their adventure-filled journey

through the world of Pokémon.

I have to get much better

or I won't be able to keep up with Farfetch'd's special training.

Man, that hurts.

But I kind of wonder if there's any real point

in battling with a leek.

Oh, sure there is. We wanna be Leek Masters.

Man, that rock was huge. That's Farfetch'd for ya.

[Goh] h*-h*. It seems like its leek techniques are getting sharper.

-in their respective regions? -Yeah.

[Ash] So this is the Castle of Chivalry. I mean, it sure looks like it.

[Goh] But how are we supposed to get in?

[all gasp]

-[both exclaim] -Pika…

Ye who seek strength. I bid you Good Day. I am a member of the Kalos Elite Four.

The Trainer of Steel. Wikstrom by name.

Wow, that guy's intense.

It is my belief that chivalry is the only path to true strength.

[screeches]

[Wikstrom] I have established the Castle of Chivalry

to extend this concept to Trainers and Pokémon all over the world.

-[screeches] -Huh?

[Rotom phone] Aegislash. The Royal Sword Pokémon.

A Steel and Ghost type.

Aegislash has two forms, one offensive and one defensive, that it uses in battle.

It's Ghost-type powers can also control the movements of people and Pokémon.

Now, would you like to reach for the top together?

Aegis.

-Please. -It will be an honor.

[whimpers] That's excellent.

Such refreshing determination in unclouded eyes.

The youth bring glory to our future.

-Whoa. He's crying. -He seems super passionate.

-Pika. -[crying]

The challengers' names, please.

My name is Ash. This is my partner, Pikachu.

Pikachu.

-We came here to train up Farfetch'd. -Far.

-I am Goh. And this is Scyther. -Oh. I like your fire.

[Wikstrom] It seems you are worthy of training.

[epic music]

-Wow We look cool. -Yeah.

But why are we wearing the armor and not just the Pokémon?

[Wikstrom] There is but one reason.

And that is because you are trying to attain true strength.

And once we begin our training, you will understand.

Sounds good to me. I feel so psyched.

First, an explanation. The Castle of Chivalry has three areas.

[Wikstrom] When Pokémon and Trainer clear those three areas

and stand atop the highest castle point, that's proof of their true strength.

There, they shall receive the symbol of the title of knight, The Knight Medal.

-The Knight Medal -Let's get it, Farfetch'd, okay?

Farfetch'd.

Now, training area one. A knight must be stronger than anyone.

Polished to shine. Sharply honed.

"To be stronger than anyone," that means we start with battles, right?

Far.

It means running ten laps around the castle.

[both gasp]

Pika!

-Yeah. Thanks for cheering, Pikachu. -Pikachu.

Endurance exercises? Start with the basics.

Yeah, but ten laps won't be easy. This armor weighs at least a ton.

[Goh pants]

It'll be a piece of cake.

We'll finish this up in no time. Right, Farfetch'd?

-Farfetch'd. -Scyther.

Both Farfetch'd and Scyther are really into this.

Hey, what's that?

[Rotom phone] Probopass. The Compass Pokémon.

A Rock and Steel type.

Probopass puts out a strong magnetic field that lets it control its three units,

called Mini-Noses, at will.

[Goh] So it's called Probopass? I wonder why it's here.

It's probably here training just like us.

[all grunt]

-[Ash] What's going on? -[Goh] My body feels really heavy.

[Wikstrom] Probopass is a dear companion who helps me in the first round.

The strength that it takes you to run past its magnetic field

-will reveal a strong body and heart. -Pika.

-[Ash] Man, that's what this is? -[Goh] Just how difficult can it get?

-[all grunt] -Farfetch'd…

Farfetch'd! [grumbles]

Scy… ther!

[Goh] You okay, Scyther?

We've gotta keep going.

-We can't let them down. -[grunts]

Hmm. The indomitable will to carry on. Most impressive.

[grunts]

[all pant]

That was very well done. All of you have passed the rigorous first trial.

-[Ash] Yeah. All right. -[Goh groans]

My body's completely worn out in a good way.

[wails]

I bear witness to your extraordinary drive and determination.

-Slash. -[grumbling]

And with that drive and determination… There. To the second location.

[Wikstrom] Area number two. The Labyrinth of Doubt.

Litwick.

The Labyrinth of Doubt?

Yeah. It's kind of a creepy looking place, isn't it?

-A knight is braver than all others. -[both gasp]

The b*ttlefield is filled with doubt and fear pressing every moment.

[Wikstrom] A Pokémon and its Trainer must walk side by side,

passing countless traps and tricks, then emerge gloriously.

That makes sense.

-Let's get to the other side together. -Scyther.

Yeah. We're not gonna let anyone beat us, right, Farfetch'd?

Huh? Hey, wait for me. Let's do this together.

[Goh] Farfetch'd never changes.

-Pikachu. -Hold on.

Pika.

This trial is a test of the one-on-one bond

-between a Pokémon and its Trainer. -Pika!

We shall go to the labyrinth's exit to await their arrival together.

Pikachu, I'll see you after.

[mysterious music]

[Ash] The path goes two directions.

This is the fated parting of ways.

-But which do we choose? -[both gasp]

-What's going on? -[Goh cackles]

-The die has been cast. -Yeah, I guess it has.

-Then let's meet up at the goal line. -Right.

[tense music]

[Goh] What's this?

[tense music continues]

[screams]

Escaval… [grunts]

-[Scyther grumbles] -Escavalier.

[sighs] Way to go, Scyther.

Scyther.

Okay, let's keep going.

[action music]

-[mysterious music] -[beeps]

It splits off again.

Huh? Hey, hold on, Farfetch'd.

Dedenne?

Huh? It's a Dedenne.

[chuckles] Whaddaya doing that for, Dedenne?

-[Dedenne gibbers] -[laughs]

-Stop, that tickles. -[Dedenne jabbers]

[both scream]

-[groans] -Dedenne.

[Dedenne exhales]

Hold on. Wait for me.

[action music continues]

[gasps] Farfetch'd. Look out!

[grunts]

Far.

Uh-oh. It's a dead end.

No way out. Let's go back to the last fork.

-[Farfetch'd grunts] -Farfetch'd?

Farfetch'd!

Ugh. You're kidding.

Farfetch'd!

[Farfetch'd grunting]

[Ash gasps]

Far.

[Ash] Awesome. [groans]

Ah, man, this is so, so weird. What's going on?

[Wikstrom] That Farfetch'd has a rare battle sense and attack power.

Refusing to retreat.

A splendidly talented swordfighter who forges its own path

and then bravely proceeds on it.

However.

It will never attain true strength in its present state.

I wonder how far it's gonna be to get out of here.

[exclaims]

-Farfetch'd, no! -[screams]

[Farfetch'd grumbles]

Farfetch'd. You gotta grab my hand.

-[Ash grunts] -Far.

[groans]

[Ash grunting] Almost…

[both groan]

-[Farfetch'd gasps] -Your leek!

[grunts]

Fetch'd!

[grunts, gasps]

[screams]

[Ash] Who's that Pokémon?

[warbles]

-Aegislash. -Pika, pika.

[Ash grunts]

[gasps]

-[screams] -Farfetch'd, far.

Farfetch'd.

[titters]

Man, that was rough.

Here. Good thing it's still fine.

You care about it more than anything. Isn't that right?

[Ash] Now, let's get moving.

Hmm. I think I see a change. Good.

[both grunt, gasp]

-It's Ash. -It's Goh. Does that mean…

-[both] It's the exit? -Pikachu!

Indeed. You have all passed the second trial.

-We did it. -Excellent.

-Scyther. -Farfetch'd.

[whines]

Perfect. It was stupendous. [sobs]

To the candidates who made it this far, I offer my heartfelt respect.

And next is the much-anticipated third trial.

-I suggest you get prepared. -[Goh] Huh.

[Ash and Goh] Huh?

[epic music]

-[Goh] The area seems pretty empty. -[Ash] Wonder what kind of trial it is.

This trial will be the deciding round.

As I informed you in the beginning,

passing this last trial will earn you the Knight Medal.

The object of the trial is quite simple.

If you are able to open the locked door behind us, you will pass the test.

And the key that you seek…

-Klefki… -A Klefki.

[Rotom phone] Klefki. The Key Ring Pokémon.

A Steel and Fairy type.

Klefki draws in metal ions through the horn on its head.

It loves collecting keys.

If Trainers and Pokémon can combine their skills

to take the key from Klefki and open the door,

then all shall be considered to have passed the trial.

However, taking it shall be no easy task.

Aegislash.

-That's what it's about. -Scyther.

Pika, pika!

[Wikstrom] Are you prepared?

All right. All right. And now, and now… let's go!

So all we have to do is steal that key. The first move wins.

-Farfetch'd, use Night Slash. -Far…

Now, Scyther, use Slash.

-Scy… -Aegislash, defend.

-Aegislash-- -Fetch'd!

Scyther.

-Use Fury Cutter. -Use Air Slash.

Farfetch'd!

-Farfetch'd! -Scyther!

[monsters gibber]

-Man. Aegislash is really tough. -Wait a second.

[Goh] You know there's nothing keeping us from taking the key, right?

Oh, yeah. While we've got the chance

[grunts] That key is ours!

Didn't I say it would be no easy task?

[Ash and Goh grunt]

You mean you'll be fighting as well?

These swords are harmless training replicas.

But you should never let down your guard. All right, your move.

This is why he had us wear armor.

-[grunts] -Do you know what I think?

The training with the leeks is gonna pay off?

[both scream]

[monsters grunting]

[all groan]

Klefki. [yawns]

-Is that all? Really? -Aegis…

[Ash] We can't let it end like this.

-Okay, I'll deal with Wikstrom. -[Goh] Huh?

[Ash] Farfetch'd, can you keep Aegislash busy?

Farfetch'd.

[Ash] And while we're doing that, you and Scyther should go get the key.

-I got it. -Scyther.

-Far. -Let's do it.

[all scream]

-[grunts] -Courageous decision.

-However, it may have been foolhardy. -[grumbles]

-I'm gonna win. -Ah.

-But not yet. -[groans]

-Pika, pi! -[grunts]

[Farfetch'd grumbles]

Aegislash. Use King's Shield.

[Farfetch'd grunting]

-[Farfetch'd groans] -[Ash gasps]

Like when it fought Gallade. That's not gonna work.

How can you worry about others now? [shouts]

-Far. -Scyther.

-[Goh] Hold it! -Scyther.

-[Goh] Slow down! -[Klefki gibbers]

-Scyther! -[Goh] Scyther!

[grunts]

[Klefki gibbers]

-[pants] -Scyther.

Hey, we're still looking after each other, don't forget.

-Hmm. -Let's try it again.

-We'll come from both sides and corner it. -Scyther.

Go! [grunts]

[Goh grumbles]

Let's finish this up.

Here. Good thing it's still fine.

[Ash gasps]

Hah. Farfetch'd even took damage to come and defend its Trainer.

-Aegis. -Farfetch'd.

But it won't be enough to brush off this next attack.

-Aegislash, use Sacred Sword. -Aegis.

[Aegislash gasps]

-That was Detect. -Far.

Right, follow it up with Night Slash.

Farfetch'd!

-Hold up, Farfetch'd. -…fetch'd!

-Guess what? I just caught me a key. -Excellent.

[Wikstrom] A knight fights for either a sovereign or for the weak

who do not possess the strength to fight for themselves.

It is when you fight to protect those you hold dear

that your strength increases many times.

Farfetch'd, Ash, Goh, and Scyther.

I acknowledge your success

and present you each with a Knight Medal.

-Awesome. We just got the Knight Medal. -The Knight Medal.

-[Goh] Yeah! -Scyther.

[Wikstrom] If we have Scyther hold a Metal Coat

-Wow. Scyther evolved into a Scizor. -Pikachu.

[Rotom phone] Scizor has been registered to your Pokédex.

Scizor. The Pincer Pokémon. A Bug and Steel type.

Scizor can crush objects with its pincers, which are as hard as steel.
