Yes. You see, I can't wait to hear about all the new research coming in.

You'd better get moving, Professor.

-[Ren] You'll miss your bus. -Oh, you're right. I'll be back later.

-[Cerise] Hold down the fort. -[Chrysa and Ren] Right.

The weather report shows snow today.

Snowy weather will make it much easier for me to find Ice-type Pokémon.

-You had plans with them? -I guess nothing in particular.

[Chloe] But this morning…

-Awfully early for this. -Oh, Chloe.

[both grunt]

-Yamper, what's wrong? -[Parker] Yamper, please?

-Yamper. -Parker, what's the matter?

See, Jinny's having a big sleepover at her house today.

Sleepover? Oh, I see.

And everyone's bringing their family's Pokémon along with them.

So, I wanted to bring Yamper along with me, too.

[Yamper pants]

-Eevee. -[giggles]

Please, Yamper, will you go to the sleepover with Parker?

[Yamper groans]

[Parker gasps]

-Thank you, Yamper. -[Talia] Yes, all right. I'll do my best.

Is something wrong?

Well, an illustrator colleague of mine sprained her wrist pretty badly.

-Will it be okay? -It isn't supposed to be all that bad

but she has some magazine illustrations that are due tomorrow,

so she asked me to help out.

Whoa, you think you can finish them in time?

[Talia] She needs three illustrations,

so if I start now, I should be able to make it.

And so I hate to ask, but could you order some takeout for dinner tonight?

No problem. I'll be able to manage everything around here, so do your best.

So I figured I'd be having dinner with Goh and Ash.

That makes sense.

Seeing how they were, I doubt they'll be back soon.

-[Ren and Chloe sigh] -That was scary.

Maybe Gengar was mad that Ash left it behind.

Chloe, so what you decide?

-Will you wait for Goh and Ash? -Uh…

Would you mind if I watch you while you do your work?

No, not at all.

[Chrysa] That? Yes.

I can go ahead and send that data immediately.

-Right. -Help, Chrysa.

Do you know where that thing is?

-It's in the folder with yesterday's date. -[Ren] Oh, there it is. Thank you so much.

-[alarm blares] -[all gasp]

[blaring continues]

-Yes. Then if you'll excuse me. -[phone beeps]

[keyboard clacking]

It seems there's a problem with the air circulator.

[sighs] Let's go look.

Right.

[Ren] It's really cold out today.

That just might be the source of the problem. Ah.

[Ren screams]

Sobble.

-[Ren] Hmm? -You were hiding in here?

-[Ren nervous laugh] -[Sobble gibbers]

[Chrysa] Here it is.

Sobble may have flipped the switch by accident.

[machine powering up]

-Great. We're up. -[Chloe gasps]

[relaxing music]

-Isn't Chrysa just the coolest? -Eevee.

That's everything for today. Chloe, have Goh and Ash come back yet?

Not yet.

It's just us. Looks like it's you and me for dinner, Eevee.

You really seem to have a big thing for Psyduck.

Uh? You see. Psyduck somehow just calms me down.

[Chrysa] That's why I can't have too many Psyduck things.

The temperature, humidity, and air pressure are all ideal tonight.

-Stop! Not until I catch at least one. -[stomach grumbles]

-[Ash] Yeah, like I said. -[Goh groans]

[sighs] I'm running on empty.

I'll never make it that far.

-Then let's eat on the way. -Really? What'll we have?

-[Goh] It's cold. Hot ramen? -[Ash] Uh-huh. Awesome.

So it's started to snow. I hope Ash and Goh are all right.

Yeah. I hope so, too.

-Something wrong? -No, it's nothing.

Good. Shall we eat?

[Chloe] Could that guy be Chrysa's boyfriend?

Maybe that's why she has so much Psyduck stuff.

[gibbers]

[Chloe] Who's that Pokémon?

[Chloe] Oh, wow, it smells so good.

I knew dim sum from the Horsea Palace would be the best.

-Want to try some of this? -Eevee.

-Eevee, vee. -Eevee seems to like it, too.

-You two are best friends, aren't you? -Mm-mm. Not yet.

I want to be best friends, but I don't know just what to do.

Oh, well, that sounds like something you could just ask Ash or Goh about.

Mm, no, that won't work. That's the last thing I'd want to do.

Come on. You mean you don't know the answer?

You grab the Pokémon with a "gah."

Then hold 'em with an "ooh." Then you get that "wow."

[grunts]

-Wow. That looks yummy. -[Eevee gibbers]

[man ] One soy sauce ramen, up. Got it.

[all slurp]

Ah…

-So good. -Sure is.

I think this ramen shop has the best food I've ever tasted.

-[slurping] -Right with you.

[chuckles] Huh?

-[Goh] It's a Psyduck. -[man ] Huh?

-[Ash] You're right. -[Goh] Is that your Psyduck, Mister?

[man chuckles] Yup.

[Ash] Look, it's wearing a scarf.

-That's so cute. -It doesn't like the cold.

So it doesn't go anywhere without that scarf.

[Rotom phone] Psyduck. The Duck Pokémon. A Water type.

Psyduck is constantly bothered by headaches.

The more its head hurts, the stronger its psychic power.

-Psy… -You mean like now?

[all scream]

[Psyduck gibbers]

Calm down, Psyduck, it'll be okay.

[Psyduck jabbers]

[all groan]

-[all sigh] -Sorry about that.

Can I make it up to you, food's on me.

-Well, you don't. -I wonder how the miso ramen tastes.

[man ] Good. My treat.

-Huh? Are you sure? -Pika?

The noodles are on me. Anything you like.

-Uh, thanks. -Pikachu.

-Ah. I am so stuffed. -Eevee.

-[Chrysa] So there's no room for this? -I'll make room.

-Hey, there's always room for cupcakes. -They look so good.

Then I'll cut each one in half and we'll try them all.

[Chloe] Great.

[both munching]

-Yummy. -Yummy.

-Smells so nice. -Doesn't it? They're called aroma oils.

[Chrysa] You can put it in a diffuser, which makes the room smell nice.

Or put it in your closet to scent your clothes.

So, what's your favorite?

Hmm. Maybe this?

That one comes from oils extracted from Roselia flowers.

[Chrysa] There are others. If you like sweet smells,

there are essences based on Bounsweet and Comfey.

See, this is where researching Pokémon comes in handy.

Yeah. It would.

[sniffs]

[sneezes] Eevee!

-[Chrysa and Chloe laugh] -Oh, dear, Eevee.

[quirky music]

Well, Chrysa, ta-da.

Thank goodness it fits.

It was a little small for me but it was so cute, I had to buy it.

That's interesting.

Eevee. Eevee…

-Lights out, okay? -Sure.

[light clicks]

[serene music]

[sighs]

I had such fun.

Me, too. A girls' night is nice once in a while.

And I learned a little bit about your personal life, Chrysa.

I was surprised to find out how messy you are.

Why don't we forget you saw that?

[both giggle]

You're so good at your job and you're so pretty, too.

You're someone I look up to. I want to be like you when I grow up.

I've had my fair share of failures in life, believe me.

You might not know it but for a moment I almost gave up on being a researcher.

[Chloe] Wait, you did?

You wouldn't believe what a failure I was.

I was still a student when I was selected

to give an important research presentation at a conference.

I thought if the presentation went well, I was sure I'd be a success.

But that day, I lost all the data I was going to present.

[Chloe gasps]

-What happened then? -[Chrysa] What else?

I couldn't give the presentation and I really hit rock bottom.

I was sure I'd never be a researcher and I felt completely awful.

But then…

[sighs]

[gasps]

[ambient music]

Psy…

[gasps]

[man pants]

Sorry to bother you. It's my Psyduck.

It likes to help people when they look cold.

-Psyduck. -[Chrysa] Oh.

[Chrysa sighs]

Psy?

-[Chrysa] Hmm. -Hey, Psyduck? Let's go over here.

Psy.

[man and Psyduck grunting]

Do you think it needs to be a little bigger?

Psy, psy.

Give it a little… [grunts]

[trembles]

Don't forget. A little exercise warms you right up.

-Psy? -Thanks so much.

May I help you out with that?

Of course. That'd be awesome.

-[man] Right, Psyduck? -Psyduck.

[Psyduck gibbers]

-[Psyduck gibbers] -[grunts]

Now you've done it.

-[man chuckles, grunts] -[Psyduck snickers]

[both laugh]

After playing around with them for awhile I forgot the cold and how down I was.

I felt refreshed.

And after that, I was able to apply myself to my work.

[Chloe] That's so cool.

Whenever I feel down, I simply look at that picture.

With my Psyduck things?

They always remind me of that time and that's why I end up buying lots.

-But what about the guy? -[Chrysa] I haven't seen him since.

[gasps]

I wonder what they're doing right now.

[Chloe] Oh, Chrysa.

[Chrysa] See you, Chloe.

-Thanks for your hospitality. -Eevee.

-[Chloe] Oh, they're back. -Morning, Chloe.

-Morning. -Pika.

So did you catch yourself an Ice-type Pokémon?

-[Goh grunts] -It was a total bust.

And it was the coldest.

So we ate something hot and came back home.

What do you know?

When we were warming up, this guy bought us two big bowls of Ramen.

He was really nice, and he had this strange Psyduck with him.

[gasps]

[Ash] The Psyduck was wearing a scarf.

-The guy said it gets cold easily. -Huh?

Did the scarf have a Psyduck pattern on it?

It did. How'd you know?

-Where are they now? -Beats me.

-[Goh] Chloe? -I need to know.

Yeah, but how?

[all panting]

[dramatic music]

[all heaving]

We'll never find them, so give it a rest.

We didn't even get the guy's name.

And he never said anything about where he was going.

-[sighs] -Eevee?

I know Chrysa would really want to catch up with him, too.

[dramatic music continues]

[gasps]

-Eevee. -A Psyduck?

Psy.

-That's the one we saw. -Pika.

So that means…

[pants] I'm so sorry.

[man] Huh? It's you guys.

You're from the ramen shop.

-I can't believe what I'm seeing. -Pikachu.

Huh?

You know, there's somebody you've got to meet.

Yeah?

[Chrysa grunts]

-[exhales] -[Chloe] Chrysa!

Oh, hi Chloe.

Chrysa, look who I found.

[man chuckles]

Huh?

[both gasp]

Oh.

I thought…

I'd never see you again.

[calm music]

[romantic music]

[sobs]

[Chrysa] Ha.

How I've wanted to see you for so long.

The scarf that you loaned me way back then was so warm and cozy.

And I was so happy to play with you in the snow.

Ever since that day, you've been what keeps me going day and night.
