and is already in the Great Class.

to meet her in Opelucid City.

[Rotom phone] Pansear and Panpour have been registered to your Pokédex!

In other words, she holds the title of reigning Champion.

-So this is Iris for real? -Following her journeys with Ash,

Iris fought Dragon type Trainers and Gym Leaders and met many Dragon types,

learning all the time.

By trusting in her Pokémon, she climbed to the position of Champion.

I never even considered being Champion as a goal,

but I'm a long way from Dragon Master,

so to keep pushing myself, I entered the World Coronation Series.

Battling the Unova Champion! No complaints about that.

I'm totally fired up!

As expected, I thought this would happen.

Battling always gets you overexcited. Just what I'd expect from a little kid.

-Well, aren't you a kid, too? -I'm no kid! I'm the Champion!

[Iris] I thought if I could pit us against you and your Pokémon,

then my Pokémon and I could get stronger,

and we could understand each other even more!

That attack was amazingly fast!

The fact is, before Iris caught her Dragonite,

it was exceptionally angry.

[Drayden] It attained a controlled battle style

only after they began to get more in sync.

[snarls]

[both groan]

-Use Hurricane! -[grunts]

[screaming]

Haxorus's huge, tough fangs can even cut through a thick steel girder.

Iris! Is that Haxorus the fully evolved form of the Axew I met?

That's right! And now it's my strongest partner!

[chuckles]

You can't get close to Dracovish, so we kept our distance and that was that!

Haxorus still hasn't taken any damage,

but Dragonite still has damage from the first battle.

It's a result of all the hard work they've put in.

Dragonite, we're not gonna lose this! You can still battle!

[growls]

All right! You've got lots of fight left, don't you?

[growls]

See, when my Haxorus was an Axew, it was timid.

But it also tried really hard.

And then, while it was learning different kinds of moves,

it realized how fun battling is.

And when it's having fun, I'm having fun, too!

So, why don't have fun battling? If you do, Ash will have more fun as well!

was able to affect the weather, but I didn't think to such a large extent.

It appears to have taken all that energy and made it its own.
