This is the story of their adventure-filled journey

through the world of Pokémon!

[camera shutter clicks]

[narrator] Ah, the familiar sight of Cerise Laboratory.

What will we be researching today?

After being out for repairs, it's finally back.

A lamp that Francois really loves.

As they fly, they emit electromagnetic waves

from the two units on their sides.

Francois's really unusual.

It ate from a fan yesterday, and before that, it ate a phone.

It's strange that it only eats from old-fashioned devices.

Francois has distinct likes and dislikes.

Much more so back when we first met.

[Cerise] It appears that a magnetic storm is the cause.

and even break precision electronic instruments.

[Cerise] Francois is receiving unusual magnetic waves.

This may be the reason for the change in the Magnemite's behavior.

[Pikachu shouts]

-[all] Huh? -Hey, what's up, Pikachu?

-[alarm blaring] -[Ren] Francois?

Why not get it into its Poké Ball?

-[zapping] -Magnemite!

The reports of odd electrical activity are only coming

Go just outside of the city, and everything seems fine.

[Ash and Goh] Ha!

Francois's been pickier than usual lately.

It even needs all its accessories to be old-fashioned.

[Magnemite grumbling]

[yelps]

-[Magnemite grumbling] -Are you all right?

[Magnemite grumbling]

[gasps] They ate the Electroweb!

-[Goh] There's more behind us! -[gasps]

-Pika? -[all grunting]

They're as angry as they can be!

-And they're after Francois. -Why? What's going on?

Maybe they want it to join their group.

I would never let that happen to my Francois.

[Francois whimpers]

Right! Dragonite, Hurricane!

[mumbling, grunting]

Ash, look out!

-[Flygon grumbles] -Dragonite, use Hurricane again!

Pikachu, use Iron Tail!

[Pokémon grunt]

We were too visible up there.

[all grumbling]

I'm afraid we're closing the coffee shop.

[Ash] You give Francois back!

-Look, they're sticking together! -Stronger magnetism?

No. This must be Evolution!

You think? Could it be?

Magnemite evolve into Magneton, and then Magnezone, right?

[Ren] As far as we know.

But there's still so much we don't know about.

We shouldn't be surprised by anything!

Are we witnessing a very rare… No, an ultra rare Magnemite Evolution?

-Pika? -[phone ringing]

[Ren and Ash gasp]

-It's Professor Cerise. -[beeps]

We've located the wave's origin.

It's a satellite, damaged from the magnetic storm.

And, for right now, it's broadcasting to the city.

[Goh] A satellite?

[Cerise] At present, the space center is attempting to shut it down.

But they may not be able to get it done in time.

The Magnemite already forced Francois to join with them.

And they're trying to change into an ultra rare evolved form.

-Professor, what do you think? -Hmm…

It may be coincidence,

but it could be urging the Magnemite into some kind of an Evolution.

And because it's so strong,

it's drawing more and more Magnemite to it.

[Cerise] So right now, it's combining into a single, immense form.

If it succeeds, then Francois will never be able to return.

Well, I'll stop it!

[Ren] I've got to do something to get Francois back.

-I hear you. -[gasps]

[all grumbling]

Ash, please, ask Pikachu to use Thunderbolt.

Magnemite need energy to evolve.

If Pikachu lets out its overwhelming energy,

they'll rush over here!

All but one who only eats from old-fashioned devices.

All I can do now is trust in Francois.

[grunting]

[moaning]

[all grumbling]

[grunts]

-[mumbles] -[screaming]

[Ren chuckles]

For you to search until you were that exhausted.

You love that chandelier a lot, don't you?

[mutters]

Until then, couldn't you just make do with that one for a little while?

Eat from that, and get back your energy.

And when you're healthy, come with me.

And we'll look for the fixture together.

[gasps]

[electricity whirring]

Would it be all right with you if I were to start using Francois as your name?

[whirs, mumbles]

[screaming]

[mumbles]

-[mumbles] -[chuckles]

[Ren chuckles] Welcome home.

[narrator] What really happened?

Was the satellite really shut down at that moment?

Regardless, the Magnemite have ended their rampage.

[Ren] It's been a long time, sir.
