- ♪ Hey, Calvin, what are we learning today? ♪

♪ Come, heel, sit, stay ♪

♪ Our pet pal Stuff is set to help and to play ♪

- ♪ Mutt & Stuff ♪ - ♪ Let's go to dog school ♪

- ♪ Mutt & Stuff ♪ - ♪ Let's go to dog school ♪

♪ When I say "ready," you say "ruff" ♪

[barks]

- ♪ Mutt & Stuff, Mutt & Stuff ♪

- ♪ Bark along and put your paws up ♪

♪ Pets can't seem to get enough of ♪

♪ Calvin and his pups ♪

♪ Mutt & Stuff ♪

[Zippy barks]

- Ooh! Hey, Zippy,

look at all the stuff my favorite chew toy can be.

It can be a bone...

[exaggerated chewing]

Or a guitar... [imitates guitar]

[electric guitar solo]

Or even a spinny thing.

[dizzily] Whoo! Wh--

[glass shatters]

Or...

an "oopsie" thing.

[laughs]

[mysterious music]

[gasping]

[glum music]

Oh, no.

- [growls softly] - My super-duper chew toy

is super-duper broken.

[laughs nervously]

What do we do?

- [barks] - You're right, Zippy.

We need... [inhales deeply]

[exuberantly] Calvin!

[apprehensive music]

[sighs deeply]

[exciting music]

- [high-pitched barking]

♪ ♪

- [woofs]

♪ ♪

[alarms blare]

[machinery whirs]

[cheerful music]

♪ ♪

- Hey, Stuff. Hey, Zippy.

- [barking] - Oh, Calvin,

thank dog-ness you're here.

Zippy and I were playing with my super-duper chew toy,

and it broke.

- Hmm...

Aw, bummer. - Yeah.

- Well, that's okay, Stuff. We can put it under your pillow

for the Chew-Toy Fairy. - Oh, the Chew-Toy Fairy.

Of course. [laughs]

Wait. What's the Chew-Toy Fairy?

- Oh. It's a magical fairy

that fixes toys when dogs take a nap.

- Oh, a fairy that fixes toys? Oh, boy!

I can't wait to meet her. Can we take a nap now?

Can we, Calvin? Can we?

- Well, it's a little early,

but...we can try.

Calling all dogs! It's nap time.

'Kay, guys.

Dream sweet doggy dreams.

- [chuckles softly] - And when you wake up, Stuff,

your toy will be fixed.

- [sighs] But Calvin,

I'm so excited for the Chew-Toy Fairy,

I don't think I can ever fall asleep.

Will you sing me a lullaby?

- Sure, Stuff. - Oh, great.

[lullaby music]

[chuckles and sighs happily]

- ♪ Twinkle, twinkle, little Stuff ♪

♪ How I won-- ♪ - [snoring]

[mutters in sleep]

[snoring]

[lullaby music]

♪ ♪

- [snoring]

[cheerful piano music]

- While the dogs are taking a nap,

let's see what the puppies are doing.

[harp music]

["Lullaby and Goodnight" on string instruments]

♪ ♪

[soft music]

- [snores] I hope the...

Chew-Toy Fairy comes soon...

'cause I really want my toy...

[shimmering tones]

♪ ♪

[upbeat music]

- Oh, my magic wand tells me

there's a toy that needs a fairy fix.

Come on, Dazzle!

♪ ♪

[wings fluttering]

Let's fly.

Let's flutter. Let's fix!

[cheerful music]

♪ ♪

- [snoring]

- This way.

♪ ♪

Whoa-oh-oh!

Oh. - [snores]

- Talk about a nose dive.

Ugh.

- [snoring] - Okay...

and now to fix this puppy's toy

with my magic wand.

[shimmering tones]

♪ Stars and puppies, and puppies and stars ♪

♪ Dogs and comets from afar ♪

♪ Put our magic ♪

♪ In a mix ♪

♪ For this toy I need to... ♪

- [sniffles] - Whoa, whoa!

[stammers] What's happening?

Whoa! Oh... oh, no.

Dazzle, I think someone's allergic to fairy dust--

and by "someone," I mean the dog I'm standing on.

Whoa! - [sneezes]

- [shouts] - Ah, what--

[together] Whoa!

- What was that?

- Did I just hear the Chew-Toy Fairy?

- Um, let's check.

- [groans] Nope.

My toy's still broken.

I guess you didn't come yet.

both: Hmm...

- Wha--

- [barks] - Then why did Zippy find

a trail of fairy dust on the floor?

[plucky music]

- Huh? - Ah.

[laughs]

♪ ♪

Huh...

♪ ♪

- [barks] - Huh?

[fluttering flute music]

And a pair of big,

wiggling fairy feet.

- Ooh.

- What? Oh!

- [struggling] - [grunts]

- [grunting with effort]

[angelic chorus]

Oh! - And a big fairy!

- Hi. I'm Sparkle Pop.

And this is Dazzle.

- [barks] - Whoa!

The Chew-Toy Fairy is here. I can't believe my eyes!

- I know! - [laughs excitedly]

- This is amazing. - Oh, oh, oh!

[stammers excitedly]

Sparkle Pop, can you fix my chew toy?

- [chuckles] Oh, I sure can.

Fixing toys is my favorite thing ever.

- [laughs] - Here goes...

[wand swooshes]

[swooshing] - Hm...

- Oh, no.

When I crashed, my magic wand stopped working.

It's not glowing anymore.

- [gasps] - [groans]

[swooshing]

Oh, it's got no zap.

And-- oh, no.

My wings have no zip.

And...

and I'm tall.

- Ah, well, then we've gotta

find a way to get your magic back.

- Yeah. - Okay.

Sure--but, um... how?

- Oh, I know.

We have a book about chew-toy fairies

right on the Mutt & Stuff bookshelf.

C'mon. - C'mon, Dazzle.

- Okay, everyone. This book will show us

how to get Sparkle Pop's fairy magic back.

- Ooh.

[harp music]

- "If a fairy's magic wand does break,

"these three steps she must take.

[soft music]

"To make the wand's first crystal glow,

make lots of laughter grow."

- Oh, Sparkle Pop,

that means you gotta make someone laugh.

- Oh, I think I can do that. - Yeah.

- "To turn the wand's next crystal blue,

"make a friend that is brand-new."

- Oh. - Oh, and then you gotta

make a new friend. - I'll try.

♪ ♪

- "To make the wand's last crystal bright,

find your fairy power before night."

- Fairy power? What's that?

- I don't know.

But we're gonna find it.

- We have to, because I can't fix doggy toys

without the power of my magic wand.

- Hmm... - We'll help you, Sparkle Pop.

And then you'll be magical in no time.

- [laughs] Oh, Stuff, I promise

I'm gonna fix your toy-- no matter what.

I'm not gonna let you down.

- Aw, thanks, Sparkle Pop.

You're the best. - Aw, you guys are all so nice.

You make me wanna do triple-fairy loop-de-loops.

Watch this. [laughs]

[woosh] - [chuckles]

- Oh...oh, I forgot that, uh... [chuckles]

That I can't fly without magic. [chuckles sadly]

- Oh. - Hm.

- Oh, you know what? I--I can stick

to the ground, and I could, um... [stammers]

I could skip! I'll skip!

Watch this. Okay, um...

[cheery melody]

- Wow. That's some good skippin'.

- Hey, Davenport.

Davenport! - [stammering]

Oh, hey there, Zoe. - What's the cutest thing

about fairies? - Aw, their little fairy tails!

Hi, Darryl.

[humorous trombone note]

[both laughing]

- Whoa! [thud]

- I'm okay. - Meow too.

- Oh, I turn it every which way--

it just won't go together.

- Oh--maybe if you just turn it a little bit

more to the... - No...

We're gonna need some magic.

[laughs] - Okay!

Time for the first fairy task.

Let's see... [mumbles to self]

Ah! Making someone laugh.

- Oh, but I don't know how to be funny without magic.

- You don't need magic to make someone laugh.

- Don't need magic?

Really? - Really.

I know the funniest fire hydrant on the block

to help you. And he's right outside.

- Oh, awesome. Okay.

Well, I'll see you later, guys.

Come on, Dazzle. Bye!

- Bye!

[funky music]

- Oh, hiya, Sparkle Pop.

- Hey, Melvin. - So, Calvin tells me

you need help making someone laugh.

- [chuckles] Yeah, I sure do.

My magic wand is broken.

- Oh, well, you don't need magic to be funny.

You just need to make a silly face.

Like this:

Guh!

Now you try.

- Okay, um...

[high-pitched noise]

- [laughs] Pretty good.

- [laughs] - Now, try the old brow bouncer:

[dizzily] Yi-yi-yi-yi, yi!

- [imitates noise]

[both laugh] - And now,

for my all-time favorite,

the nosey-posey.

[grunts]

- [grunting] - [laughs]

[both laughing]

- Hey, pretty good, Sparkle Pop.

[laughs] - Hey, Dazzle,

I made someone laugh

without using any magic. - Yeah.

Ooh. And it looks like

you're one step closer to fixing your magic wand.

- Oh! Thanks, Melvin.

Oh, I can't wait to tell Stuff.

Come on, Dazzle. Let's go.

- [laughs] - Bye.

- Buh-bye.

- [chewing] Yup.

Half a toy means half the fun.

- Guys, look. - Hmm?

- My first crystal. - [gasps]

- Stuff, I'm gonna fix your toy super soon.

It's my double-fairy-twinkle promise.

- Ooh! [laughs] - That's great, Sparkle Pop.

Well, let's do the next fairy task.

- Okay. - Let's see...

Hmm... Ah, making a new friend.

- Oh, no... [stammers] I don't know

if I could make a new friend without magic.

- Oh, you don't need magic to make a new friend.

You just walk up, say hi,

and give a good handshake.

- Yeah. - Come on, guys.

Let's show Sparkle Pop our super friendly handshakes.

Or should I say "paw-shakes"?

[upbeat tune]

♪ ♪

[whooshing]

♪ ♪

[crickets chirping]

♪ ♪

- [woofs]

♪ ♪

- Oh, Calvin, I don't know

if I can meet any friends without magic.

- Oh, that's okay. Just give it a try.

- Really? Okay, um...

- Well, you already know me. - Oh.

- You have to make a new friend.

If you walk right over there, you'll meet someone new.

- Okay. Well, here goes nothing.

♪ ♪

Come on, Dazzle.

My wand won't work unless I make a new friend.

Hello? Is there someone new

I can meet? Hello?

- Psst!

[giggling]

- Hello? - [giggles]

Psst!

[giggling]

- Hello?

- Hiya! - [shouts]

[both laugh]

- Oh, you scared me.

- [laughs] Sorry.

- Hi. I'm Sparkle Pop,

the chew-toy fairy.

- Oh. Well, my name's Noodles.

- Oh, hi, Noodles. You wanna shake?

- Okay. [both chuckle]

- Nice to meet you.

[laughs] - Hey, how about

a special pat-a-paw friends handshake?

- Oh, yeah. Okay. - [laughs]

[together] ♪ Pat-a-paw, pat-a-paw ♪

♪ Let's be friends, it's so fun ♪

♪ I wanna do it again ♪

[both laugh]

- Oh, man. [exhales] All right, well...

what do you wanna do now? - Oh, why don't you

pull that rope?

- Oh, okay. Yeah. Cool.

[tuba notes]

[both laugh]

- Ah! What?

- Congratulations. You just made a new friend.

[magical chimes]

- Hey--and look!

I got my second crystal.

- Oh! - Thanks so much, Noodles.

- Ah, don't mention it. I'd do anything for a friend...

and some confetti. [laughs]

- Yeah. [laughs]

♪ ♪

- [grunting]

Maybe my bone'll get fixed if I push it together real hard,

like this. [grunting]

Nope--still broken. [groans]

- Guys! Guys!

[cheery melody]

I have the best news.

I got my second magic crystal.

- [grunting] Well, that's great,

'cause my arms are getting really tired.

- Well, let's do the last fairy task.

Hm...

[soft music]

Ah, "finding your fairy power."

- [groans] Well, how can I find

my fairy power when I don't even know

what it is? - Don't worry, Sparkle Pop.

We'll help you find it-- 'cause maybe it's something

we can sniff out. - Yeah!

We have tons of noses.

Calling all dogs!

Put your nose to the floor and help us find

Sparkle Pop's fairy magic.

[rousing music]

♪ ♪

- Hey, maybe Sparkle Pop's fairy power is golfing.

♪ ♪

- Calvin, I can't find my fairy power anywhere.

Have any of you guys been able to find it?

- Uh, nope.

But we found a bunch of cool other stuff.

- Oh... Oh, Stuff.

Without my fairy power,

I'll never be able to fix your toy.

I broke my fairy promise.

I'm so sad, I don't even want...

[stammers] this magic wand anymore.

I'm feeling fairy discouraged.

- Oh... Sparkle Pop, wait.

- We better follow her, Stuff,

and bring her her magic wand.

♪ ♪

[jazzy music]

- Hey, Davenport.

- Davenport! - [stammering shout]

Oh, hey there, Zoe. - I wonder why

fairies are so nice. - Hmm...

Well, it's because they always play "fair"-y.

[humorous trombone tone]

[both laughing]

I'm okay. - Meow too.

[upbeat music]

♪ ♪

- [sighs]

Hey, Stuff. - Hey.

- I looked everywhere,

and I still can't find Sparkle Pop.

Did you? - Nope, and I hope

we find her soon, 'cause she was really sad

when she couldn't find her fairy power.

- I know. She didn't even

wanna keep her magic wand. - Oh, and it's all because

of my broken toy. Oh, Calvin.

We just gotta help Sparkle Pop feel better.

- Yeah...hey! - Hmm?

- Maybe we can find her if we follow

this magic trail of fairy dust. - [gasps]

- Can you follow the trail, Zippy?

- [barks] - All right, let's do it.

[busy music]

♪ ♪

- Huh...

♪ ♪

- [barks] - Oh! Sparkle Pop must be hiding

inside my doghouse. - Yeah.

Thanks, Zippy. [Stuff and Calvin laugh]

- Well, I better go talk to her. - Oh! Can I go, Calvin?

After all, if I didn't break my toy,

none of this would have happened.

- Of course, Stuff.

That's really nice of you.

- Okay. [laughs] - Oh, hey, Stuff.

- Huh? - I'm really proud of you.

- Thanks, Calvin.

[sighs] Okay.

Here I come, Sparkle Pop. [laughs]

[laughs] - Hey, Stuff.

- Slide over. Friend comin' through.

Oh, uh, here's your wand.

Thought you might want it.

Aw, thanks... but what good is it?

I couldn't keep my promise to fix your toy,

and now I feel fairy terrible.

I'm so sorry. - Aw, Sparkle Pop.

You don't have to be sorry.

- I don't? - Nope!

You tried your best. That's what really matters.

- It is? - Yeah, sure.

Having a super-duper friend like you is way more important

than toys, or magic, or...anything.

- Aw, Stuff. You're the very best friend

a fairy could ask for. [chuckles]

- Aw, thanks.

Eh, besides--if I can't play with my chew toy,

well, I'll just find a different way to have fun. [laughs]

- A different way. - Mm-hmm.

- Huh...oh! That gives me an idea

of how to fix your toy.

Oh, hey--meet me by the garage door.

- Uh...huh. [chuckles] - Hey, Stuff.

- Hm? - Did Sparkle Pop tell us

why she wanted us to meet her here?

- Well, it was something about fixing my toy,

but I have her wand, and it's not magical,

so I don't know how she'll fix it.

- Hey, Zippy.

Can you help me open the door, please?

- Huh?

[lever clicks, alarms blare]

[machinery whirs]

- ♪ Stars and puppies, and puppies and stars ♪

♪ Dogs and comets from afar ♪

♪ With no magic, I was enough ♪

♪ To fix this toy for my friend ♪

♪ Stuff ♪

- Whoa! You fixed it.

- Well, a fairy never breaks her promise,

so I fixed your toy myself,

even though I didn't have my magic wand.

- Oh! [laughs] Wow.

Thank you, Sparkle Pop.

- Well, it's not perfect,

and it's not magical, but you're my friend,

and I knew how much your toy meant to you.

[Stuff sighs contentedly] - Sparkle Pop!

You found your fairy power. [Stuff gasps]

It's not about the magic.

It was all about taking care of your friends.

- Oh, and that's exactly what you're doing:

caring about me. Oh, thank you, Sparkle Pop.

- Whoa. I did find my fairy power.

[magical melody]

[wings fluttering]

[shimmering tone]

[triumphant music]

- Aw, whoa! That's paw-some.

♪ ♪

- But not as paw-some as this.

[shimmering tones]

- Wuh--

Whoa! Wow!

Now I have a super-duper-duper-duper

duper-duper-duper dog bone. [Calvin and Stuff laugh]

- This calls for a super-duper doggy-fairy dance party.

Come on, wag it like you mean it.

- ♪ Hey, Calvin, what are we learning today? ♪

- Today, Sparkle Pop came

to fix Stuff's favorite toy. But then,

she broke her magic wand. - Oh, no.

- Sparkle Pop didn't think she could do anything

without magic. - ...that I can't fly

without magic. - Then, she learned

the most magical thing you can do

is care about your friends. - I fixed your toy myself.

- And she got her fairy magic back.

Then we came here for a super-duper,

doggy-fairy dance party!

[kazoo music]

♪ ♪

Davenport. - [spluttering]

Oh, hey there, Zoe. - I call myself

"Zoe the Cat Fairy." - Hmm. Yeah,
