NARRATOR: Even in the brightness of the day,
the atmosphere of Collinwood is poisoned
by the evil which makes itself known at night.
When the night returns, a dream will also come again,
but this time it will seek out one who lives
at the old house on the Collins estate,
one who has already been told the dream
and knows he cannot escape the terror
that awaits him with the coming of sleep.
[DOOR SQUEAKS OPEN]
Willie, don't you have work to do?
WILLIE: I don't want to work.
What are you talking about?

You gotta help me, Barnabas.
BARNABAS: Help you, how?
I'm afraid.

I'm gonna have the dream.
[TENSE MUSIC] What are you saying?
David was here this morning. He had it last night.
He can't have the dream when Mrs. Johnson's away,
and she's away in Boston.
No, she came back.
And told David the dream.
Yeah, he had it last night,
and he told it to me this morning.
And tonight you will have the dream,
and I will be one step closer to the dream.

and come back here.
I knew her coming back would happen
when Vicki bought that portrait of her.

The portrait that must be the key.
Perhaps, perhaps there is a way to deal with her, Willie.

Oh, a strange thing that's happened before she came here
had something to do with that portrait.
When I tried to burn it, it reappeared on the easel
even as if I hadn't even touched it.
When Roger tried to sell it to Professor Stokes,
it was gone.
And again, it reappeared on the easel.
Well, what's a lousy portrait got to do with all these dreams
all these people have been having?
They have everything to do with them.
The portrait is obviously important to her existence
in this time.
The question is in which way.
Well, who knows.
I don't even understand what you're saying.
Either she controls the portrait or the portrait controls her.
Or they could be one in the same thing.
We must find the answer as soon as possible.

Willie, it's just possible that you may not have to
- go through with the dream. - Huh?

You must go to Collinwood and steal the portrait.

so that you can get in and out without being seen.

as long as Adam lives.
