NARRATOR: On this seemingly peaceful night,

an act of violence has taken place on the Collins Estate.

Somewhere near the Old House,

a man has been struck down by a strange, inarticulate

and frightened creature,

who for his own confused reasons,

has left the body for Barnabas Collins to find

inside the house.

[KNOCKING]

Take a look down there by the closet door.

he wanted to have him found here.

Barnabas, Barnabas he isn't dead.

There's a pulse beat.

But he doesn't seem to be breathing.

He is, very faintly.

Are you sure it was Adam you saw outside?

Of course I'm sure.

He's going to live?

I don't know.

Well, tell me exactly what is happening.

Well, he either was struck on the head,

or he fell and hit his head.

But can't you tell me how serious it is?

Well, he may be suffering from a concussion,

We've got to get him to a hospital as soon as possible.

And then we'll take him to the emergency room at the hospital.
