♫ Bottle Top Bill
♫ And his best friend Corky
♫ Up on the hill
♫ Let's watch them as they play
♫ Playing all day
♫ Hurray
- [Bill] The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill--
- [Corky] And his best friend Corky.
♫ Bottle Top Bill
- [Corky] Are we having an adventure today, Bill?
- [Bill] We sure are, Corky.
Right here in Mrs. Whistlehead's garden.
- [Corky] What's the adventure called, Bill?
- [Bill] It's called TV Trouble.
- Why are we visiting Mrs. Whistlehead's garden?
- We're going to give it a tidy up.
- Gosh Bill, look at all these leaves.
- We'll be needing two rakes for this job, Corky.
- Two good strong ones, Bill,
because there's a lot of leaves to gather up.
(sighs)
This is going to take us all day, Bill.
- You're right, Corky.
We need something bigger and better for this job.
- [Corky] What are you thinking of, Bill?
- [Bill] I'm thinking of a special leaf sucking machine.
- [Corky] Now that is good thinking, Bill.
- [Bill] This will do the trick in no time, Corky.
(soft music)
- It's doing a wonderful job.
(screams)
Bill.
Bill!
- Sorry, Corky.
(groans)
- That's a very powerful machine, Bill.
- And it's done a great job, Corky.
There's not a leaf in sight.
- [Corky] Do you think Mrs. Whistlehead will be pleased?
- [Bill] I hope so, Corky.
- [Corky] We'll find out right now, Bill,
because here she is.
- [Bill] And Timmy the dog, too.
(soft music)
- Hello Bill, hello Corky.
You've done a great job tidying up my garden.
- Our pleasure, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- You both deserve a nice treat.
Would you like to join me for lemonade
and cake in the front room?
- The front room?
Yes please.
- Thanks, Mrs. Whistlehead.
(soft music)
I've never been in the front room before.
- [Bill] Me neither, Corky.
Mrs. Whistlehead must be very pleased with us.
- Sit down, Bill.
Sit down, Corky.
- This is a nice room, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- Beautiful.
- Thank you.
- [Bill] And look at the television, Corky.
- [Corky] It's the biggest I've ever seen.
- That reminds me, it's time for my favorite program.
- What's that, Mrs. Whistlehead?
- The Sheep Show.
It's a program all about sheep.
Would you like to watch with me?
- We'd love to, wouldn't we, Bill?
- You bet.
- Oh dear, look at the TV.
The picture's all fuzzy.
- How long has it been like that?
- It was working just fine yesterday.
- I have an idea what the problem might be.
- Tell us, Corky.
- It might be better to show you, Bill.
- Then lead the way, Corky.
Don't worry, Mrs. Whistlehead.
We'll soon have it fixed for you.
What do you think the trouble is, Corky?
- There.
- You're right.
The wind's blown the aerial over.
- How can we fix it, Bill?
- [Bill] I know how, Corky.
I'll climb up on the roof.
- [Corky] Do be careful.
- I'll be super careful.
You check the TV picture while I move the aerial about.
- Right you are, Bill.
I'm ready, Bill.
- And me too, Bill.
- Tell me when the picture's good.
How's that?
- [Corky] Try left a bit, Bill.
- [Mrs. Whistlehead] Left a little more.
- Is that right?
- No, left, Bill.
- How about now?
- Just a little more, Bill.
- Will this do?
- Nearly, try lifting the aerial a bit higher.
- Even higher, Bill.
(sheep bleating)
That's perfect, Bill.
- Hold it right there.
Don't move.
- I'll try.
(screams)
- Bill, are you all right?
- Perfect, thanks.
Not a scratch on me.
- Thank goodness.
- But the aerial's not looking too good.
It's broken.
- I'm sure that can be fixed.
- But I don't think that could be fixed.
- Oh dear.
I'll have to get a new aerial.
- Where would we get one?
- Not to worry, I know just the place.
- [Mrs. Whistlehead] Do you think you'll get it
in time to see the rest of the Sheep Show?
- [Corky] We'll try, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- [Bill] Come on, Corky.
There's no time to lose.
- Right behind you, Bill.
Where are we going, Bill?
- [Bill] Do you remember visiting
Farmer Sam last week?
- [Corky] Yes, we helped Sam put up his new satellite dish.
- [Bill] And took down his old TV aerial.
- [Corky] Which Mrs. Whistlehead could use.
- [Bill] Exactly, Corky.
(tires screech)
- Farmer Sam.
- Anyone home?
There's someone over there, Corky.
- [Corky] Do you think it's Farmer Sam?
- [Bill] It looks like him.
- [Corky] Yes, it is him.
(soft music)
- Hello, Farmer Sam.
- Bill, Corky, good to see you.
- We need some help, Sam.
- Certainly, what can I do for you?
- Do you still have that TV aerial
we took down last week?
- It's over there, where we left it.
Why?
- [Corky] Mrs. Whistlehead's old one is broken.
- And we need another one quickly.
- Then please, take it.
We have to help Mrs. Whistlehead.
- Thanks, Sam.
- Is there anything we can do for you, Sam?
- Nothing at all.
You're doing me a favor by taking it away.
(cat meows)
- What was that?
- [Corky] It sounded like a kitten.
(soft music)
(cat meows)
- What a cutie.
- She sure is.
- Maybe there is something you could do for me.
- Anything at all, Sam.
- I've got to take these apples to the market.
Could you look after Kit for me?
- You can depend on us, Sam.
- She's in safe hands.
- The little cutie won't be any trouble at all.
- Thank you again, Sam.
- See you soon.
- Come on, Corky.
Let's get back to Mrs. Whistlehead.
(tires screech)
- Look, Mrs. Whistlehead.
We've got the new aerial.
- And what an excellent one it is.
- And we have a friend.
(cat meows)
- What a cutie.
- My words exactly.
- Bill, this time I'll put up the aerial.
- Right Corky, and we'll go inside.
We'll finally have that television fixed.
- [Mrs. Whistlehead] This is for you, Kit.
(cat meows)
(growling)
- We're ready, Corky.
- Here goes.
How's it looking, Bill?
(sheep bleating)
- It's looking great, Corky.
- It couldn't be better.
- You can come down now, Corky.
- I already have, Bill.
- Now, everyone sit down and we can
finally have that cake and lemonade.
- We won't say no to that, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- [Mrs. Whistlehead] There's still a little more of
my favorite show to enjoy.
- [Corky] I don't think we'll have any
problems now, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- [Bill] I'm with you, Corky.
(cat meows)
- Delicious.
- Scrumptious.
- Oh my, the TV's gone all fuzzy again.
- I thought we'd finally fixed it.
- Let's go see what the problem is now, Corky.
Paint me pink.
(cat meows)
- How did Kit get up there?
- [Bill] And how do we get her down?
- [Bill & Corky] Oh no!
- She's all right, Bill.
- Where's she going now?
- After her, Bill.
- And Farmer Sam said she would be no trouble.
- She's nothing but trouble, Bill.
(soft music)
- [Bill] Where is she going, Corky?
- [Corky] It looks like she's heading
for the old windmill.
- [Bill] And heading for more trouble, too.
(soft music)
(cat meows)
(screams)
- [Corky] There she is, Bill.
- Hang on, little kitty.
I'm coming.
- Watch yourself, Bill.
- Got you.
(cat meows)
- Are you all right, Bill?
- I am.
Getting a little dizzy.
I can't hang on for much longer.
(cat meows)
- What can I do?
- Hello, Corky.
I'm back from the market.
Was little Kit any trouble?
- See for yourself, Sam.
- By dingo.
They're in a mess of trouble.
- They'll have to jump.
- So we'll need something to catch them.
- [Corky] And I know what, Sam.
I saw Mrs. Whistlehead had a lot of
washing on her clothesline.
A big sheet will do the job.
- Corky.
Can't hang on.
- Jump into the sheet, Bill.
- We'll catch you.
(screams)
(cat meows)
- Thank you, Corky.
Thank you, Sam.
You saved us.
- No Bill, thank you for saving Kit.
It looks like you're a little bundle of trouble.
(cat meows)
- Thank you for the new TV aerial, Sam.
- Don't mention it, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- And thank you for putting it up, Bill and Corky.
- It was almost no trouble at all, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- Why don't you all come in and watch the television?
- But wouldn't your favorite program,
the Sheep Show, be over?
- It is, but my other favorite show is about to start.
Kitty Corner.
It's all about cats and kittens.
- [Corky & Bill] Cats and kittens?
- That's my favorite show, too.
We wouldn't want to miss that, Kit.
(cat meows)
- Maybe we'll watch it another time
with you, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- I think we've had enough of television for one day.
- And enough of cats and kittens.
- When you're right, Corky, you're right.
(soft music)
- [Corky] What's happening today, Bill?
- [Bill] We're off to help Mrs. Whistlehead on her farm.
- [Corky] Will it be an adventure?
- [Bill] It sure will, Corky.
And it's called A Sticky Problem.
- Why does Mrs. Whistlehead need our help, Bill?
- I'm not sure, Corky.
She just said to bring some glue.
(whimpering)
- Did you hear that, Bill?
- I sure did, Corky.
It came from over there.
- [Corky] That looks like a dog kennel.
- [Bill] It is a dog kennel,
and it belongs to Timmy.
- [Corky] And there's Timmy, too.
- [Bill] He sounded very sad.
- Hello Bill, hello Corky.
Thank you for coming over.
- Our pleasure, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- We've got two puzzles to solve.
Why do you need glue?
- And why is Timmy so sad?
- If you look at my front door,
you'll see the answers you're looking for.
- Paint me pink, there's a big chunk missing.
That explains the glue.
- Timmy broke the door chasing a little rabbit.
- And that's why Timmy's sad.
(whimpers)
- Just make sure you don't do it again, Timmy.
(barks)
- Now to fix that door.
- I'll hold the chunk, Bill.
- And I'll put the glue on.
(soft music)
- Is that all, Bill?
- That's it, Corky.
We're out of glue.
- Oh my, what can we do now?
- Don't worry, Mrs. Whistlehead.
We know someone who knows all about fixing things.
- We do, Corky?
- Cedric the scientist.
- You're right.
- We just need a quick way of getting to see him.
- [Bill] Leave that to me, Corky.
- [Corky] What is it, Bill?
- [Bill] Our roadster.
It'll get us to Cedric's in no time.
- [Corky] Great idea.
- Ready, Corky?
- Ready, Bill.
- See you soon, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- We'll be back as quick as a wink.
(beeps horn)
(soft music)
I like going to Cedric's laboratory, Bill.
- [Bill] Me too, it's always full of interesting things.
- [Corky] They're all for his experiments.
(soft music)
- [Bill] I wonder what he's doing today.
- Whatever it is, Bill,
you can be sure it's interesting.
Hello.
- Cedric.
Over there, Corky.
What's that?
- I think it's smoke, Bill.
I hope Cedric's all right.
- Cedric?
Cedric, are you there?
- [Corky] Can you see him, Bill?
- [Bill] I can see someone.
- [Corky] Is it Cedric, Bill?
- [Bill] I think it is, and he looks a bit sooty.
(coughs)
- Good morning, good morning.
- Cedric, what happened?
- Just a spot of butter with my morning toast.
And who are you?
- It's us, Bill and Corky.
- Of course it is.
Hello, Corky.
- No Cedric, I'm Bill.
- Really?
So where did Corky go?
- I'm here, Cedric.
- So you are.
I do apologize.
I've lost my glasses and I can't see a thing.
Now how can I help you?
- Our friend, Mrs. Whistlehead, has a broken door.
- We were wondering if you have anything
that can help us stick it back together.
- A super fix mix?
Do I have a super fix mix?
Actually, I'm not sure.
Terribly sorry, sir.
- What are you looking for, Cedric?
- My special super fix mix box.
- [Corky] Is it a big box, Cedric?
- [Cedric] That's the one.
- [Bill] Then I think it's there, Cedric.
- Here we are.
One tube of super fix mix.
- Thanks, Cedric.
- No trouble indeed.
Goodbye, Bill.
Goodbye, Corky.
- Goodbye, Cedric.
- We hope you find your glasses soon.
- Now sir, how can I help you?
- I hope we haven't kept Mrs. Whistlehead
waiting too long.
- I don't think so, Bill.
It looks like she's been very busy.
(soft music)
- [Bill] You're right, Corky.
What do you think she's been doing?
- [Corky] I can see plates and glasses.
- [Bill] With lots of food and drink.
- [Corky] It's a lunch, Bill.
- Mrs. Whistlehead makes the best lunches.
I'm hungry just looking at it.
- [Corky] I don't think we're the only ones
who are hungry, Bill.
- [Bill] It's a rabbit.
And he does look hungry.
- This must be the rabbit that Timmy likes to chase.
(barking)
- No, Timmy.
- Stop, Timmy.
(barking)
- Whatever is going on?
- Timmy's chasing that rabbit again.
- [Corky] And he broke the table.
- And smashed my best china, too.
- It's all right, Mrs. Whistlehead.
We've got a tube of Cedric's super fix mix.
- We'll have all this fixed in a flash.
- [Bill] First the table.
- Bit of fix mix here.
There, that should do it.
- Perfect.
Now the cup.
- Be careful, Bill.
- Careful it is, Corky.
There.
- Now let's fix that door.
Cedric's super fix mix sure is super strong.
- Place it in carefully, Corky.
- [Corky] Careful it is, Bill.
- Perfect job, Corky.
- Thank you, Corky.
Thank you, Bill.
(glass shatters)
- Bill, was that you?
- Certainly not, Corky.
- Bill, Corky, look.
(whistling)
- My cup.
(shattering)
My table.
(shattering)
My door.
- [Corky & Bill] My goodness.
- Bill, Corky, what have you done?
- We thought we were fixing things.
- They don't look too fixed to me.
- Come on, Corky.
We've got to pay another visit to Cedric.
- Bill, Corky, what brings you back?
- That super fix mix you gave us.
- It was very strange, Cedric.
- It broke Mrs. Whistlehead's door into pieces.
- And her table and best cup.
- Oh dear, that doesn't sound right.
What color was the tube I gave you?
- It was red.
- Red?
That's no good, no good indeed.
- Why not, Cedric?
- Red isn't my super fix mix.
- It's not?
- It's my super smash mix.
- No wonder everything broke.
- Blue is the super fix mix.
That's the one you need.
- Are you sure, Cedric?
- It will fix anything.
Just a drop, mind you.
It's very strong.
- We'll be careful, won't we, Corky?
- We certainly will, Bill.
- Thanks, Cedric.
- Good luck.
- I hope the mix works this time, Corky.
- It has to work, Bill.
Otherwise we're in big trouble.
Timmy is still chasing that little rabbit.
(barking)
- Look out!
- Bill, the fix mix.
(screams)
- It's going everywhere.
(barking)
(soft music)
- Bill, Corky, what's happening out here?
- Watch out, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- Stop!
- Oh my.
- Don't let the mix touch you, Bill.
(screaming)
(soft music)
That's it, Bill.
It's all finished.
- What a relief.
That was close, Corky.
(groans)
Paint me pink, I'm stuck, Corky.
I need some help.
- And I need help with this teapot, Bill.
- What are we going to do?
- There's only one thing we can do.
- Back to Cedric's.
Cedric, we need your help.
- And lots of it.
- We had an accident with the fix mix.
- Everyone is stuck.
- I might have just the thing,
that unsticks and mends at the same time.
- That's exactly what we need, Cedric.
- Shall we try it out?
- Yes please.
- I'm unstuck.
That's fantastic, Cedric.
(shattering)
- Oh no.
- Don't worry, just watch.
- It's all fixed.
- As I said, unstuck and mended at the same time.
This could be one of my best inventions ever.
- Can you spare some for Mrs. Whistlehead's farm, Cedric?
- Better still, I'll come and help you.
This will give me a chance to try out
my new invention.
- [Bill] It looks like a flying machine.
- [Corky] With special hoses.
- [Bill] To squirt the extra super fix mix.
- Exactly.
Climb aboard, everyone.
And away we go.
- [Bill] Here we are, Cedric.
- Rabbit coming up.
- We'll soon have him free.
That should do it.
- Top job, Cedric.
- [Corky] Now for Timmy.
(barks)
- And we can't forget Mrs. Whistlehead.
- Never.
- Free at last, thank goodness.
- Now we can finally fix everything.
- [Bill] The table and Mrs. Whistlehead's cup.
- [Corky] And that front door.
- Thank you, Cedric.
You saved everyone from a very sticky problem.
- My pleasure.
Now, time for you two to head down.
- Thanks again, Cedric.
- Bye Bill, bye Corky.
- Thank you, Bill.
Thank you, Corky.
Everything is now as it should be.
- Not everything, Mrs. Whistlehead.
- What else is left to do?
- Lunch.
All that delicious food is just waiting to be eaten.
(laughs)
- When you're right, Corky, you're right.
♫ Bottle Top Bill
♫ And his best friend Corky
♫ See you again
♫ Goodbye
