suddenly cliff realizes he is

bored

using his expert decoding skills cliff

begins to read

sounds appetizing

one beautiful saturday afternoon the

people of sunnyside were sweeping their

sidewalks sifting their sandboxes and

sorting their socks

all of a sudden they looked up in the

sky and saw a spaceship

look it's a

spaceship the townspeople knew that

whenever beings from another planet

landed they gobbled up all the food in

town

they're gonna eat everything we've got

hide the food

[Music]

so they hid their food out of sight in

all sorts of secret places

they finished just before the spaceship

landed in the town square

we are beings from another planet

and we are very hungry after traveling

so far

what's for supper

greetings aliens i am the mayor of

sunnyside we have no food sorry

you good people have no food

and we are hungry too

well then we'll have to make our special

stone soup and we'll make it with this

stone

the aliens put the stone in a large pot

filled with simmering water and said it

had to cook for seven seconds hmm

it could use some salt but since you do

not have any

susie slowly raised her hand

i believe i have a little bit of salt

somewhere

[Applause]

the aliens tasted the soup but it still

wasn't savory could use some soy sauce

if only you had some

give me a second maybe i could find some

[Music]

both of the aliens took a big slurp but

they still weren't satisfied it still

needs something

if only we had some squash some

succotash some salsa and satsumas and

other tasty stuff the townspeople went

to all the hiding places and got their

squash succotash salsa satsumas and

other tasty stuff

they put it all into the pot

[Music]

superb

sublime

simply stupendous

such a succulent soup should really be

served with a superior supper

so a table was set everyone sat and ate

soup and salad and salmon and sausage

and schnitzel until they were totally

stuffed

after supper the spaceship took off and

the townspeople waved goodbye

okay

if we can make soup that good from a

stone what could we get

from my shoe

soul food
