♪ He's what we call a dinosaur sensation

♪ Barney's friends are here for you

♪ To sing and dance and play games too

♪ Barney comes to play with us

♪ Whenever we may need him

♪ Barney can be your friend too

♪ If you just make believe him

- What are you drawing?

- I'm drawing a pirate ship.

- [Melanie] Oh.

- I'm thinking about adding some pirates.

- Cool.

- What about you?

- I'm drawing an airplane.

- Oh that's nice.

- Thanks.

My friend Marissa took one when she went away on vacation.

- What are you drawing Sophia?

- Well I'll give you a hint.

He's a very special friend and he's purple.

- Hello there.

- [Children] Barney!

- Hi everybody.

What are you doing today?

- We've been drawing pictures, but I think I'll stop now.

I don't fell much like drawing anymore.

- Is everything all right?

- Well I'm just a little sad,

because my friend Marissa, she went

to go visit her cousin in India.

I kind of miss her, a lot.

- Isn't India far away?

- It's across the ocean and around the world.

I think it's almost as far as the moon.

- Well, it's not quite that far,

but it is a long way away.

- I hope she's okay over there.

- Maybe we should take a little trip of our own.

All we need is a little imagination. (chuckle)

Just leave the rest to Engineer Barney.

- [Children] Wow, cool.

- All aboard the magic caboose.

♪ Chuga, chuga, chuga, chuga, woo-woo.

♪ A train runs on a railroad track

♪ It makes a sound like clickety clack

♪ It blows a great big whistle too

♪ It makes a sound like this, woo-woo

♪ Woo-woo

♪ The train goes rolling through

♪ Chuga-Chug

♪ Clickety clack

♪ The caboose rides in the back

♪ Chuga, chuga, chuga, chuga, woo-woo

♪ Chuga, chuga, chuga, chuga, woo-woo

♪ Trains, they have an engineer

♪ Who rides in the back so they can steer

♪ There's even a conductor too

♪ Who always shouts, all aboard, to you

♪ Chuga, chug woo-woo

♪ The train goes rolling through

♪ Chuga chug

♪ Getting black

♪ The caboose rides in the back

(train whistle)

(steam hissing)

(train chugging)

- Here we are, first stop on our trip.

- Where are we, Barney?

- This is a country called Egypt.

- Who are they and why are they dressed like that?

- They're ancient Egyptians.

That's how people used to dress here, many years ago.

- I am King Khufu, ruler of all Egypt.

- Hello your highness.

- What's that big triangle shaped thing?

- Its called a pyramid.

- [Melanie] Oh wow, the sun is so bright.

- We're in a desert, Melanie.

The sun is bright and very warm here.

♪ Mr. Sun, sun

♪ Mr. Golden Sun

♪ Please shine down on me

♪ Mr. Sun, Sun

♪ Mr. Golden Sun

♪ Hiding behind a tree

♪ These little children are asking you

♪ To please come out so we can play with you

- [Children] Yeah, great, cool.

- So, did you enjoy your visit to Egypt.

- Oh yeah. - It was awesome.

I just wish we could have stayed longer.

- Oh, but we have more new places to go

and more new things to see.

- Where are we going now?

- How about a breezy island with beaches and sailboats.

- But Barney, you can't take a train to an island.

An island is surrounded by water.

- That's true,

so it's a good thing we have a magic train. (chuckle)

All aboard.

The magic caboose is ready to go again.

(train whistle)

(steam hissing)

(train chugging)

- We're here, Tahiti.

- Welcome to our islands.

- What's this?

- It is the flower called tiare.

- Wow, it smells wonderful.

- Thank you.

- This place is amazing.

- It sure is.

I've never been to an island before.

- Well the islands of Tahiti are some of

the most beautiful places in the whole wide world.

♪ Very far way from the homes we know

♪ Is a very sunny place where it's fun to go

♪ You can get here with a boat or a magic train

♪ And when you look around you'll be glad you came

You sure will.

♪ This place is called an island and it's plain to see

♪ It's got an ocean and beach and greenery

♪ Imagine all the fun things that we'll find out

♪ As we see what an island is all about

Oh boy, oh boy.

♪ It's a little bit of ground with water all around

♪ A mountain in the middle and a jungly sound

♪ Birds and the breeze and the coconut trees

♪ That's what an island is

It's fun in the sun.

♪ You can gab with a crab who lives in the sand

♪ Or wave to to a butterfly as big as your hand

♪ And if you get hungry for a tasty meal

♪ There are bunches of bananas that have a peel

(laughing)

♪ It's little bit of ground with water all around

Are you ready for our next stop.

- [Children] Yeah.

- What is the next stop, Barney?

- Let's see, we've been to Egypt and Tahiti.

I'm not sure where we should go next.

- Oh, let's go to India.

- Oh yeah. - That's where Marissa went.

- (laugh) That's a t-riffic idea.

All aboard for India.

(train whistle)

(steam hissing)

(train chugging)

- Ah, here we are everybody.

While you're here you might see

some of the same things Marissa will see.

- Really?

- Well certainly.

Like the Taj Mahal, it's a wonderful building in India.

- Welcome to our country.

- Thanks.

- That's a very pretty dress.

- Thank you.

It's called a sari.

- This is called a dhoti.

- It's way cool.

- Thanks.

- Maybe Marissa will get to see a real elephant.

- Maybe we will too,

with a little imagination.

(elephant trumpeting)

- Look everybody.

- [Children] Wow.

♪ She's big and friendly

♪ Wrinkled and gray

♪ Elephant

♪ And with a her great big feet

♪ Better get out of the way

- Thanks Barney for a great trip.

- It was awesome.

- Yeah, it was really fun.

- You're very welcome.

- I hope Marissa has as much fun as I did,

even if it was just in our imaginations.

(dinging)

- Hey look at that.

- It looks like the mail has come.

- It's for you Melanie.

And it's all the way from India.

- It's from Marissa.

Dear Melanie,

I'm having a great time.

I saw a real elephant today.

He made some silly sounds.

I think he was trying to talk to me.

Can't wait to see you again.

- Now here's something that'll tickle your funny bone.

- Why did the window say ouch?

- [Children] Why?

- Because it had a pane.

(children laughing)

- What does a snowman eat for breakfast?

- Snowman eat for breakfast?

I don't know, what?

- Frosted flakes.

(laughing)

(womp, womp, womp)

- If you liked that, you're gonna love this.

♪ Monkeys are cool

♪ Monkeys are neat

♪ The look like they have

♪ Hands on their feet

♪ Gorillas, baboons and chimpanzees

♪ They walk on the ground and they swing in the trees

♪ They'll rock back and forth

♪ And monkey around

♪ I love it when they make that funny monkey sound

- All right, rock like a monkey.

♪ Or a chimpanzee

♪ Walk like a gorilla

♪ Or a baboon swinging in a tree

♪ Walk like a monkey

♪ Make a funny monkey sound

♪ So much fun

♪ When we monkey around

♪ They like to eat lettuce

♪ They like bamboo

♪ They might even eat

♪ A banana or two

♪ You just don't know

♪ What you might see

♪ They even like to eat the leaves off a tree

♪ Now monkey see and monkey do

♪ Everybody's rockin' away and so can you

- [Children] Rock like a monkey.

♪ Or a chimpanzee

♪ Walk like a gorilla

♪ Or baboon swingin' in a tree

♪ It's so much fun when we monkey around

- Oh, hi Jessica.

- Hi Barney.

- Check out all the art in the park.

- Oh, look at all the pictures

and paintings and sculptures.

- It's an art festival Barney.

Everybody's showing what they've made.

- That sounds like fantastic fun.

- Yeah, there's a lot to see and do.

See ya around Barney.

- Okay, see ya.

- Hi B.J.; hi Riff.

- Hi Jessica.

- Oh, hi B.J. - Barney.

- Hi Riff.

- Hi.

- What's that you have there?

- These are called maracas.

Listen.

(rattling)

(laughing)

- And check this out.

You play it with a stick.

(ratchet sound)

- Now that's what I call art.

- Actually, it's called a guiro, Barney.

- I mean you're making music

and that's a wonderful kind of art.

- Yeah, there's going to be lots of music

and dancing in the park today.

- Cool. - Oh boy.

- [Children] Hi Barney.

- I'm ready to dance for everyone.

- Oh great.

Dancing is and art too.

- Okay everyone.

Today we're going to dance to a song about a fiesta.

- Is everyone ready.

- [Children] Ready.

- A fiesta is a special party

that celebrates the art, food and fun of Mexico.

Let's get this fiesta started.

♪ With food and fun and games and singing

Look at my paintings.

- Oh cool.

- I want to pick the best one for the art show.

Do you like the castle, the mountain or the elephant.

- Um, I like them all.

- Yeah, I like the gray one.

- Which gray one?

- This one, the elephant.

- B.J., that's not the elephant.

- Oops.

- Uh, is this the elephant?

- Uh-uh.

- So this is the elephant?

- Well yeah, maybe.

Oh, let me see.

Oh, now I can't remember.

- They do kinda look alike.

- I tried very hard to make them look pretty,

but now I'm not even sure they look like art.

- Do you know what I like about your artwork?

- What.

- It comes from your heart.

- But what can I make that's really special

for the art show?

- Art can be whatever you want.

Just use your imagination.

Let's see what kinds of art our friends are making today.

- It's a snowman walking a huge elephant.

- It's a cat.

- This is my telescope.

- This is hair.

- This is my house.

- This is my puppet.

- This is my bear puppet.

- It's a turtle.

♪ Using paint or pencils

♪ Crayons, clay or string

♪ Putting things together

♪ You can hear us sing

- Look what I made.

- I have paper, paintbrushes and paint

and I need a good idea.

What else is gray?

- There's your problem sissy.

You need some more colors to paint with.

- Think of all the colorful things you could paint;

blue skies, green grass and yellow blankies.

Colors are everywhere you look.

- What would we do without colors?

♪ Colors make me happy

♪ Everywhere I go

♪ The world is like a rainbow

♪ Puttin' on a beautiful show

♪ Make me smile at how colorful the world can be

♪ From a snowflake to a butterfly

- [Barney] Me too.

- Oh, colors do make me happy.

I'll use all of these colors,

but I still don't know what to paint.

- Sissy, remember what Barney said.

Art comes from your heart.

- That's right.

Art can be anything that's important to you Baby Bop,

like that feeling you get inside

when you care about something

or someone who makes you feel special.

- Oh, oh, I have an idea.

Um, um could you wait in the park, please?

I'm going to make a surprise.

- Okay. - Okay.

- Surprise.

- Ladies and gentlemen, it's time

for an important guest artist to show us her painting.

- Please say hello to the one and only Baby Bop.

(cheering)

- Thank you.

Thank you, friends.

I thought making art was really hard,

but someone special said I should paint what's in my heart,

so I did.

(oohs and ahhs)

I call it my happy heart,

because you're always in my heart, Barney.

- And you're always in mine too.

- Ooh, now it's time for another guest artist.

- Oh boy.

Oh, who is it?

- It's you.

Can you please dance for us, Barney.

- Well that would make my heart very happy.

Would you like to dance with me?

- [Children] Yeah.

- [Baby Bop] Yeah, let's do it.

♪ There's a new dance craze

♪ Sweeping the country

♪ And it's called the Dino Dance

♪ It's a lot of fun

♪ And we all hope

♪ You'll give it a chance

♪ Are you ready now

- [Barney] Oh, you're good at this.

- [B.J.] That's it.

Our art festival was super-de-duper.

(cheering)

(several people saying bye)

what a wonderful end to a wonderful day.

- Oh, yes.

I had so much fun making art.

Do you like your picture, Barney?

- Yes I do.

I like it so much that I think I'll share it with everyone.

(oohs and ahhs)

- [B.J.] Now that's what I call love.

- Hey, I just got another idea.

And this time I'll need lots of yellow and orang paint.

Come on.

- [Rex] Bye Barney.

You can paint pictures or make things out of clay.

Maybe you like to dance, sing and play music too,

but no matter how you make art,

it's always special when you share your feelings

with the people you love.
