thanks for waiting for us what happened

to your hair well the wind blew it but

now the wind is gone hi guys let's go

how was your day at school oh it was

pretty good

had a history test but pretty good yes

that sounds like thunder maybe it's

going to rain but look there aren't any

clouds I think something Funny's going

on here hey look at this

it's a snowflake it is it is

now I know something Funny's going on

hi there everybody good morning what do

you need all this stuff for I think you

have stuff for all different kinds of

weather oh and I might need all of these

things because this is Four Seasons day

Barney I've never heard a Four Seasons

day before

well that's because it's a special

make-believe holiday gee it's right here

in my calendar hmm let's see uh well I

put it here somewhere uh here it is

Four Seasons day

spring summer

fall right and winter those Four Seasons

make up a year this sounds like a magic

holiday oh it is and all you need to

make it happen is your imagination

today's a magic holiday a joyous jumping

holiday a day that's like no other of

the year there's just one time in all

the months when all four seasons come at

once and now my friends Four Seasons day

is here

Four Seasons they just couldn't be

better cause it's the only holiday with

every kind of weather think of all that

happens in the spring and summer and

fall and even in the winter hey this day

has it all

there will be wind and rain and snow and

sun it's crazy but it's lots of fun

a day that's like no other of the year

and now my friends Four Seasons day is

here

okay the first part of Four Seasons day

is spring let's all take a big breath of

this good Spring Air

that's nice and other nice things happen

in Spring too the trees and plants start

to grow again after the winter cold

that's right everything outside turns

green and birds make their nests in

trees and there are baby birds who sing

for their supper what else happens in

the spring we could play outside without

our head of the coast and sometimes in

the spring

hey it really is raining we're going to

get wet I can help with that

wow

oh we better wait on the school steps

until the rain stops okay let's go

excuse me thank you

little drops of water little grains of

sand

make the mighty ocean all around the

land

that's pretty man but I still wish it

would stop raining so we could play some

don't think so rain is just a kind of

weather and no weather lasts very long

on Four Seasons day it doesn't nope in

fact I think this rain should be ending

just about now

right on schedule wow look the rain

really did start all the clouds are gone

and the sky is so blue it looks like

it'll never rain again oh it'll rain

again someday and it's a very good thing

too we need rain that's right all the

growing trees and flowers need rain and

the animals that live outdoors need rain

water to drink besides if it never ever

rained again yeah

we'd have a really hard time getting

clean

if it never ever rained again again if

I couldn't wash my hair if it never ever

rained again

I need water and a pail to wash my tails

okay

never ever end again

I could wash my toes or even my clothes

even never ever rained again

see what I mean I couldn't get cleaned

it's really getting hot out here Barney

of course it is it wouldn't be Four

Seasons day if we didn't have nice hot

summer weather for a while Summer's

decision I like the best I Barb to play

in the sun me too but you know too much

sun can give us a sunburn and that can

really hurt that's right I wish we had

some sunscreen lotion to protect our

skin from the Sun oh no problem I've got

lots of sunscreen lotion right here

for you get your arms and your legs and

don't forget your face and your neck and

be really careful around your eye that's

right very good

well that got everyone now it's safer to

play in the Summer sun all we want

yeah and Barney it really looks like

summer and it feels like summer too yes

but does it sound like summer I didn't

know that summer had a sound

all the seasons have special sounds and

I know a terrific game we can play

that's about the sounds of Summer

no just sit down over there okay that's

good now I'll make some special sounds

that you hear in the summer and you try

to guess what sound I'm making okay okay

here's the first summer sound use your

imaginations and tell me what it is here

I know Barney you're cutting the grass

with a lawnmower that's right now kiss

this summer sound

look at the climb up here okay here we

your swimming Barney you're swimming

sure swimming is a fun thing to do in

the summer but it did make me just a

little tired oh please Barney don't you

know at least one more summer sound we

can do oh sure I do and you don't even

have to guess what it is it's a poem I

like poems me too

in summer when the days are hot I like

to find a shady spot and hardly move a

single bit and sit and sit it's it

that's because on Four Seasons day

things are changing all the time I think

we need to change too it's just a little

bit cold

you're right I think you all need some

warmer clothes

your warm fall clothes you know you can

call this season Fall or call it Autumn

two names for one very special time of

the year

oh I love the Autumn

it's the days getting cooler and the

frosty nights and the pumpkins big and

small it's the season after summer it's

before the winter it's the fall it's the

fall it's the fall I feel the leaves are

crackling and crunchy

underneath both of my feet hope I'd like

to jump in a great big pile of these

cause I think that would be me oh I do

there is red yellow orange on the

beautiful trees both the short ones and

the tall it's the season after summer

what well we already know that it gets

just a little bit colder in the fall but

fall we start a new year of school with

new teachers and new things to learn and

waves on the trees turn into lots of

colors and then the leaves fall down

say that reminds me of another really

fun point we can do it's called five

little leaves okay with that in school

I love that poem and we can all take

turns telling it all right oh boy is

everyone ready sure did

's wonderful it's so beautiful the air

is cold and clear

snow is sparkling trees or glistening

it's that time of year I love to see the

icicles the great big snowflakes too

cause it's the wonderful season full of

special things to do

four seasons and winner is my favorite

it's so beautiful and it's really cold

you know it gets so cold in the winter

that water turns to Slippery slidy ice

can we go ice skating Sean I'd really

love to go ice skating here in the

playground but we don't have a skating

Pond yeah but we do have imagination

maybe we can make one yeah good idea

let's close our eyes and imagine a

skating Pond right here right now

hello again to all my friends I'm glad

you came to play our fun and learning

never ends here's what we did today

was just full of surprises because it

was Four Seasons day the David we can

see what all four seasons of the year

are like

you remember all the seasons

in Spring we had some nice rain showers

but we didn't get too wet

next came summer with lots of nice hot

sun to dry us off and to warm us up

again

after summer is fall it felt cooler

outside and the leaves turned to pretty

colors and fell right off the trees

and season number four was Winter it was

the coldest season but it was lots of

fun in fact I had so much fun skating

that I'd like you to use your

imagination right now and skate along

with me ready here we go

it's fun to escape such fun and even see
