party is a dinosaur from our

imagination and when he's tall he's what

we call a dinosaur sensation

barney's friends are big and small they

come from lots of places after school

they need to play and sing with happy

faces barney shows us lots of things

like how to play pretend

abcs and how to be

with us

here we are at the playground barney oh

boy let's go see what the other kids are

doing okay bernie

over there look

oh that's a pretty red one

look there's another one over there i

see it it's a little brown one

hi min hi sean what are you doing we're

bird watching it's fun we just listen

for a bird

and then we try to see it with our

pretend binoculars

can i look too sure i'll share my

binoculars thanks

see the bird is right up there

oh now i see it

it flew away

it's fun to watch birds but you have to

be really fast because as soon as you

look they fly away

how do you do but he showed his little

tail and far away he flew

once i saw a little bird come hop hop

come hop hop hop so i cried little bird

won't you stop stop stop and was going

to the window to say how to you too but

he shook his little tail and far away

oh it's fun to pretend to be a bird

it's fun to go bird watching too oh bird

we listen for a whistle

and we look for a bird with our

binoculars

oh oh what does it look like it has a

white tummy and black wings

and it has a red head

like me

what kind of bird was that i'm not sure

but the sound was coming from over there

wait i see it and it's a very strange

bird

yeah it's bright yellow

with purple spots and a bright green

tummy and

big red tennis shoes

big red teddy shoes

yes they're tennis shoes and they're big

and red

that's not a bird it's bj

it looks like some sort of a note bj why

i don't know where the make-believe

jungle is

that's why i climbed up on the tree

stump i thought maybe i could see it

but you can't find the make-believe

jungle just by using your eyes

you can't nope because the make-believe

jungle is right here in this playground

and you can only see it by using your

imagination

you mean by pretending that's right i

don't know it just looks like a

playground to me

oh but if you use your imagination

anything can happen

of different places of course another

way to use imagination is to pretend

that you're a different person so i

could pretend that i'm someone big and

brave when i go looking for the princess

in the make-believe jungle you got it

i know who i'd like to pretend to be who

well i could tell you but it would be

more fun to show you

rhinoceros and tigers and so much more

hear the snakes

see the silly monkeys putting on a show

the jungle is the place to go

there's a great big elephant taking a

bath getting clean as he can be

he doesn't step on me
