the story of dinosaur tim

[Music]

when roaring volcanoes covered our

planet

the earth was quite young and the

dinosaurs ran it

on a great mountain top with a valley

below

lived among brontosaurus that's the big

sword you know

and on the far side there were dinosaurs

too

small pterodactyls the kind that all

flew

each dinosaur mom chose the spot that

looked best to lay lots of eggs in her

dinosaur nest

one day a volcano rumbled and shook

and one puff of smoke was all that it

took

for out of a nest a little egg fell

at the very same time fell a big egg as

well

into the valley both the eggs tumbled

while

all around the valley a big earthquake

rumbled

on the top of each mountain the eggs

came to rest

but they ended up landing in each

other's nest

when the moms returned they looked in

surprise

one of their eggs had altered in size

when the big day came for the eggs to

hatch

each mom had a baby that

didn't quite match dinosaur tim

was the smallest of things and there

on his back was a small pair of wings

dinosaur bill looked rather sweet

but he had a long neck and enormous

sized

feet yet the dinosaur moms weren't

worried at all

they loved all their kids the big and

the small

so the dinosaurs grew as the years went

by

and dinosaur tim was sure he should fly

but his father insisted he stay on the

ground

our kind does not fly we just

walk around a dinosaur bill

was feeling quite frantic i just can't

stop growing

i'm getting gigantic

[Music]

when mom took his brothers to teach them

to fly

bill ran away he would not even try

he ran down the mountain incredibly fast

and bumped into tim they met

at last i'd love to be small

said bill to tim i'd love to be big

said tim to him tim started thinking and

bill did too

then they said to each other i wish i

was you

[Music]

the pair became friends and by the end

of the day

their parents arrived and found them at

clay

you look just like us tim's mom told

bill

and bill's dad cried out tim's a

pterodactyl

they all agreed there had been a mistake

the eggs had been swapped in that

dreadful earthquake

but mom pterodactyl clung to young bill

i love my boy and i always will

then tim's mom said please promise

you'll stay

we want you with us don't fly away

bill had an idea and tim had to agree

they should live side by side as one

big family so that's what they did

and they felt really glad they each had

a new friend

and a new mom and dad
