What's going on, lady?
Nothing.
Oh, my god.
Are you OK?
[sobs]
[theme music]
NARRATOR: After the roast, Karen is irritated with George.
You were so disrespectful, you little [muted]..
Nobody heard anything I said.
Hmm.
No, we didn't.
Yeah, so you were laughing the whole time, huh?
It's OK.
It was Eddie who was the one that was an instigator.
Ooh, very nice.
[laughter]
That's a very nice purse.
You did a nice job, Eddie.
Thanks.
The guests did swell.
[GIGGLING] George.
Chicken man.
Wasn't he funny?
No.
You did a good job, dude.
You know what I think of that whole thing.
[laughter]
They were saying it's all bull [muted] and all this stuff.
And then we get in there, and Eddie
says that you can crash at my house and [muted] like that.
Which is total bull [muted].
Exactly.
It's total bull [muted].
And then for him to sit there and give me-- laugh at me
the whole time I'm talking to him.
And then to turn around and take the floor,
and everybody's quiet and listens to him.
And he says all these nice things.
You're like, hello.
Isn't a roast where everybody's supposed
to have a good time and laugh at one another,
and everything else like that?
What happened tonight?
I noticed everybody got all serious and everything else
like that about it.
And I know they're probably copping an attitude at me
now over it.
But I didn't mean no offense against anybody.
But I thought that's what a roast was for, was just to go
and have a good time.
That's a trouble about being in this place, kind of.
You really can't cut loose.
And I'd like to do that.
I'd like to just to laugh, have a good time.
But everybody here is worried about covering their butts.
And that's what it comes down to here.
You've got to make sure you cover your butt.
NARRATOR: Karen is still upset by George's
behavior at the roast and Eddie's on Jordan.
Why do you think Eddie decided to say
something nice, as opposed to something less than nice?
I don't know.
I have no idea.
But it pisses me off that he is totally disrespectful of me.
And then he gets up there.
And he says all this bull [muted]..
You know?
It was just like, you know, to what end?
Will you be able to talk to him about it?
I don't even care to.
He's been an a*s [muted] to me lately.
He's been a real jerk.
They're just, like, really pissed me--
they're like two immature kids.
You know?
And I'm sick of it.
I'm so sick of it.
And they'll probably throw my a*s out.
[laughing]
No they won't, because they don't even know.
You know how guys are, Karen.
Their so oblivious.
That bothers me, what you said, now.
About Josh?
Yeah.
Because I kind of--
I don't know.
I didn't want to think that-- remember that night when
Jordan came in and said that--
no.
It was when you woke me up on the couch because you were sad.
Yeah.
And you laid there with me.
And then Jordan woke up really mysteriously at :
in the morning and came out? - Yeah.
And we're talking.
And she said that Josh had told her
he just wanted to hook up with someone in the house,
or something.
That makes me feel like since--
Then the fact that he wants to have
sex with somebody in the house.
In the house.
That is so disgusting.
This-- when he says hook up, he means sleep with somebody?
Sex, yeah.
- Oh, he does? - Yes.
He said he does.
I just thought he meant just hanging out.
Then I'm a bad option.
I know. We said that last night.
[laughter]
That makes me feel like-- because that night, Brittany
and Jordan confronted him.
That makes me feel like crap.
Like, OK, now.
Then he tells you, [LOW MOCKING VOICE]
"Well, what I really wanted was Jamie."
You know what I mean? - Then why would the next--
Like, is he trying to move on?
What is he-- I don't know.
That bothers me.
I totally feel icky.
Like, I feel stupid and icky.
And I have hurt feelings.
Well, don't be hurt.
Let your mama take the hurt away.
Poor Britt.
Poor Britt.
Mm.
You know why you shouldn't be hurt?
Because you've got the game.
You've seen the game.
You see it. You know.
Yeah.
You know more than he does now.
Yeah.
The men in our house.
The what?
The men in our house.
There should all be girls here.
[laughter]
I'm in on that.
I'd like that better.
Doesn't that sound good?
- I'm definitely in on that. - Mm-hmm.
The place would be cleaner.
We'd have less-- like you said-- less
food to cook, less to clean up.
The bathroom would be clean.
Oh, grocery money would go so far.
I think I-- I think we've got to play it.
[laughter]
This is funny.
Bad night for me, guys, bad night.
You guys set me up for that one.
Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad.
[laughter]
Boom.
Here.
Is that what you guys want?
Boom.
Boom.
Let's give it to George.
Let's give him a roast challenge, OK?
Because we know he will take the roasting to the max.
And then we'll get him out of here.
Is that what you guys are planning for me tonight?
Huh?
Boom.
But you know what?
If I'm gone, you guys are going to miss
the old man around here.
[chuckle]
And me and Eddie--
think of what-- you think if the two of us are gone,
this place is going to be pretty damn stale.
I'm going to tell you that right now.
Because people like to see people entertain.
They don't want to see the same old stuff--
people arguing, washing dishes, stuff like that.
Do they, Eddie? No.
Hell no.
They want to be entertained.
They're going to get tired of people bitching at one another,
so on, and so forth.
They're going to want to see guys like me and Ed.
But no, I go on ahead and I have a roast for you guys.
And what do you do for me?
You fry me!
[laughter]
Yeah.
Let's hang George out to dry!
Oh, that's real nice of you.
[laughter]
Look at what I do for you guys.
I feed your stupid chickens.
I'm getting them fat.
I water your grass.
I do the dishes.
What does it get me, huh?
Dishpan hands, and then you guys give me a roast challenge.
And look at what happens to me.
I get fried because of you.
Huh!
[laughter]
You guys really care about old George, don't you?
Huh.
Ha, ha, ha.
Yeah.
Oh, boy.
[laughter]
She's yanked at me, Eddie.
It's not peculating, yet?
What was that, George?
I think she's still yanked at me.
It's only two minutes. Then turn it down.
And it'll be good.
That was nice.
Oh, it's OK.
I'll just sleep outside tonight.
Yeah, right, like we sleep in the same bed.
You have to be--
[laughter]
Hey, I thought a roast was supposed to be a thing
where everybody just had--
I always liked the Dean Martin ones.
You know?
But I guess--
Well, they let people talk.
Well, not in the Dean Martin ones.
Everybody just kind of yells and screams at one another.
No, they don't.
They have a panel.
The person gets up.
And they talk at the person that they're talking about.
Jamie.
Wrong show.
What?
You're talking about the "Jerry Springer Show."
No.
I never watch Jerry Springer.
Oh, well.
Oh, here's that pencil I had.
Well, maybe it isn't.
Are we playing cards, or no?
I don't know.
What?
How pissed is Karen?
Huh?
How pissed is Karen?
You've got to ask her.
Hmm, good answer.
[laughter]
So like a chick, man.
What?
So like a chick.
[WITH AN ACCENT] He tell me something.
I shall tell no one.
Mmm, OK.
And I honor that.
No big deal.
I'm just looking out for my boy.
[theme music]
He's a little edgy.
That's all.
He fears that his time's coming to an end here.
And he's all-- he's all edgy and [muted]..
That's all.
And yesterday, you know, he's having
a good time at the roast.
And he said you snapped at him and whatever.
So--
He knew I was just pissed that I--
He knew I spent so much time on it.
You know.
I worked hard on it to get the lines.
And then, all of a sudden, nobody
heard anything, after working on it for so long.
I don't know.
He was just-- you know, he felt alienated last night,
or whatever.
You know, last night, everyone was
giving him the cold shoulder.
And he said, this morning, everyone's giving him
the cold shoulder, or whatever.
So I said OK.
When I first came here, you and I were friends.
Yes.
And so you and I are real good friends.
And all of a sudden, you become friends
with him, which is cool.
I don't have a problem with that.
I want you to be friends with the whole house.
Then all of a sudden, I was for--
I started with the chickens from day one.
I was so excited to have chickens,
because I like animals.
So then, all of a sudden, he became real
involved with the chickens. Cool.
No problem.
And so then I started--
I see what it is.
I started working in the kitchen.
Now all of a sudden, he's-- - Working in the kitchen.
--in the kitchen.
Britt and I got really close.
Guess who's really trying to get close to Britt?
You know?
And it's like-- and it's all the time.
It just seems like everywhere I--
You go.
He's sure to follow.
Yeah.
And it's like-- what?
To what end?
What's he trying to do, get me out of here?
I don't know. Maybe I'm paranoid.
You know?
But it just seems so strange.
You know?
Is he playing a game?
Especially [inaudible].
I just feel like I don't know if he's coming--
when he comes to you and talks about me,
if he's coming to bash, get you to not like me, or whatever.
No. No.
That kind of thing.
That wouldn't happen, Karen.
You know that.
Come on.
That hurts, thinking I'm shallow like that.
I have no idea.
Like I'd sell you out.
But you acted differently, you know, after the last few days.
So it's like, what is the deal?
What's going on here with Eddie, you know?
No.
No, don't worry about it, Karen.
He's a cool dude.
I like him.
And I like you, too.
You know, I don't like to see--
especially--
Well, I just feel like I don't know if he's coming--
when he comes to you and talks about me,
if he's coming to bash, get you to not like me, or whatever.
And that kind of-- - That wouldn't happen, Karen.
You know that.
Mimicry is the greatest flattery.
I understand what you're saying.
But yet, I'd take it more as a compliment
than I would a threat.
You know?
He sees the way you are with everybody
and how everybody admires and respects your work ethic.
And you're getting things done, and this and that.
And I think he admires the way you-- you know,
the way you are so good with the chickens.
And you are so good with the cooking and this and that.
And you are so good with people.
And I think George wants to get a taste of that.
And he wants to be--
you know, he wants to be like you, I think.
And I think that's what I see.
Well, maybe.
Maybe he's a major mastermind.
I don't know.
But I don't think so.
You know what I'm saying?
Maybe he's a KGB spy, and we don't know.
In the egg thing yesterday, I thought you were making--
when I made the breakfast burrito that I made before.
Oh.
And so if you were doing that, I just
wanted you know I don't put milk in mine
because it'll fall apart.
But you just made scrambled eggs.
So that's why it was different.
But if you see me doing something
that I shouldn't be doing, or something, you tell me.
Well, I'm not going to anymore.
I'm going to let you be, so you don't
think I'm bitching at you.
Karen, I could take--
But if you would have told me yesterday-- and when
I said something about milk.
You don't put milk in it. You should have said, no.
I'm making something different. - Oh.
And then it would have been OK.
Like you say, if you see something
that you need me to improve on, don't
let it build up inside you where it eats at you.
Well, you were just about eaten.
And see, remember when I said stuff just
goes over top of my head?
OK.
[laughter]
You guys go all cool now?
- Oh, no. - No.
- He's still hating. - No.
No.
Right on.
- But he can't help it. - No.
[laughter]
She's making up a checklist.
Could you see it?
Things I hate about George.
We'll have it on the refrigerator and everything.
I'm going to do that.
I'm going to tape a piece of paper up.
And every day I'm going to add something to it.
Wouldn't that be hilarious?
I could just see that list.
[laughter]
Go to the red room-- could I have another marker, please?
I used it all up.
Chillin'.
Ten things I hate about George.
[laughter]
Some things that I might not like about you are you.
But that has nothing to do with it.
Yeah, I mean, because there's a lot of things people
don't like about me that is me.
You know?
Good point.
And if you changed, you wouldn't be you anymore.
So--
You know, yeah.
You got a point there, too.
So I just stay the same.
That's right.
I'll still make my list.
[laughter]
[theme music]
What's going on, lady?
Nothing.
Oh, my god.
Are you OK?
[sob]
Karen?
I'm in the bathroom.
Are you talking to yourself?
[sobs] - [SQUEAKILY] No.
[laughter]
Oh, I'm like, wow.
she must be doing something really embarrassing in there
if she's talking that much.
And I feel so gossipy.
I hate that.
That's not me at all.
I feel like I'm just totally not being true to who I am.
OK.
And I've said things about Jordan.
I've said things about George, about Eddie.
And you know what I mean?
It's like-- and Josh.
It's not me.
You're a human being.
I know it.
But usually, I just deal with it at home.
You know?
I think--
Usually, we all deal a lot different.
I don't want to leave here and be like that.
Now I thought about going back in the garden.
Hiding behind everything so nobody can see me.
Let's.
I'd be up for sitting in the garden.
Well, it's just-- I can't tell anybody.
We'll just go out there later.
I gotta play spades.
I gotta pretend like there's nothing wrong.
[blows nose]
Excuse me.
I gotta see a mirror.
I hope nobody's out there.
Oh, thank god.
Thought I'd give you a moment in there.
[blows nose]
Just mirror.
Oh, yeah.
You have makeup.
You look like I've not been crying.
[sniffles]
We all have our moments.
I had mine the first night.
I know, right?
We'll all have them.
I need to ask you a question about an eggplant,
and it's quite urgent.
Ready to be picked-- is that it?
Yeah.
No, it's worse. - You OK?
I'm fine.
Cool?
It's urgent.
Thanks.
OK?
I have an eggplant emergency.
What are we missing?
I have an eggplant emergency.
I don't know what to even think about.
Everybody here has said something negative to somebody,
and then changed how they felt about them.
Just because feelings change, or just
because things don't seem as they are,
doesn't mean you're a bad person.
It doesn't mean you're two-faced.
It doesn't mean you're gossipy.
I know it.
But after last night, after I totally
lost it about Eddie and George, you know,
it was just so ignorant.
You know, so childish that I made something out of something
that I shouldn't have.
I just feel like I don't even know who the hell I am anymore.
You know?
I just--
Be very careful.
OK.
Thank you, very much.
don't Worry about it.
You OK, Karen?
And how I felt bad that I said things about you.
And that--
- Oh, about the clocking? - Yeah.
And just everything.
And the old thing?
[LAUGHING] Yeah.
What did-- what did I tell you?
I know it.
See, that's not like me.
You know?
It's not like me to talk about people behind their back
and to sit and gossip about t people.
But you want to know what you did is
you told me what you told them.
OK? - I know.
But still, it just--
You told me what you told them.
I know.
But why did I do it in the first place?
You know?
I just--
Because probably I am a kind of a clock.
[laughter]
Probably might be the guy that would
criticize me the very least.
Even if I made a whole [muted] meal,
you'd eat it and say it was great.
NARRATOR: Jordan's banishment makes
her the topic of conversation.
Another one of my theories was wrong.
What?
What was that?
My theories were all wrong.
She would stand by the cameras nude,
so I figured that everybody was watching
it to want to see that again.
Yeah, that's what you said.
George, you don't know how much nude time I gave, though.
[laughter]
God, it was so funny today, when she is getting ready,
though.
She's laying in the bed, just totally naked.
And then she gets naked and she lotions up.
You know? - Are you kidding?
This is right in front of the camera.
Yeah.
And she puts on her thong, her dancing thong.
And she's doing this thing.
And she's like, "This is what I wear out."
And I'm like, oh, my god.
That's so funny.
I was like, that's cool.
[laughter]
She does "Playboy."
I'll bet you on that.
She said she wouldn't.
I think she's really opposed, she says.
- You don't think so? - Yeah.
She said she wouldn't.
She says she doesn't want to go home.
Because I'm like, you could go home and dance
and get way tons of money, because you
were on the "Big Brother" show.
And dance, you know?
I just don't understand the logic.
- Well, I've missed it twice. - What?
What's that?
How could you even support an argument like that?
Yeah.
Well, I don't know.
Because it's a wider audience?
Like, you know, what's the difference?
She's not always consistent, Joshua.
That's awesome.
[giggle]
It's weird.
Even though we didn't get along all the time,
a couple of the times I laughed the hardest were with her.
But I kind of talked about being friends with her on the outside
because we both live in Minneapolis.
And I was saying I can never see her being
a really close friend of mine.
Because I would never fully trust her.
And I would always feel like I needed to watch my back.
But I guess I feel there's a negative energy around her,
her just--
No matter who's around her?
Yeah.
There's just a negative--
I think I told you.
I know that from the beginning, even
before I even talked to her.
First time I met her, I felt that, too.
Yeah.
I think if you choose to--
It's agressiveness, I think, is what it is.
Yeah.
I don't think it's just aggressiveness.
It's something-- well, I mean, she sits there
and declares herself evil.
You know what I mean?
That's kind of a weird thing.
Sit there and say, I have a mean streak.
I like revenge.
I like hurting people.
I like winning.
And that's not something I want to change about myself.
[chuckle] That's pretty strong words--
Yeah. She likes it.
Yeah. - --to say.
Yeah.
I mean, it's one thing to be like, sometimes I get insecure
and I get vindictive.
And then I feel bad about it later.
And I hate that about me and I want to change it.
But to be like, yeah, that's awesome.
I love it, because I get on top that way.
It's a little different, you know? f
It's going to be different around here now.
Yeah.
