Jason took the coveted medallion.

Danielle saw this as a second chance for Jason

to nominate Roddy.

He's like the freakin' devil.

NARRATOR: But Jason felt certain Roddy could be trusted.

The problem is, there's no one else to put in, to substitute,

unfortunately.

NARRATOR: And decided not to use the power of veto.

As the eviction neared, the house

agreed that the next Head of Household competition

was crucial.

What we've been leading up to all these weeks

is sort of a clash of titans between Roddy and Danielle.

NARRATOR: Who will be evicted, Gerry or Amy?

And who will win the next Head of Household?

Good evening, and welcome to Big Brother .

It is day , and of the original houseguests,

there are now seven remaining.

Since last Thursday, Jason--

the videographer from Mobile, Alabama--

has taken center stage in the game.

He surprised the household last week

when he won, for the first time ever, both Head of Household

and the power of veto.

But Jason wasn't quite prepared for the responsibilities

that came with the titles.

First, he agonized over the nominations.

Then, despite everyone's belief-- including his own--

that Roddy is the strongest player in the game,

Jason ultimately chose friendship over strategy,

and nominated Gerry and Amy.

So tonight the houseguests have to decide between the two.

Whom will they evict?

This is an important night for both Gerry and Amy,

but the other houseguests are looking even further

down the line, positioning themselves

strategically for the final weeks of the game.

[music playing]

As Churchill once said, you can afford to lose

every battle but the last one.

You know, it is a little difficult

for me, being years older than anyone else in the house.

There clearly is a generation gap.

We should have done this show aesthetically.

That's pretty funny.

We should have voted the ugliest people first.

Week one, he would have been gone.

[music playing]

I am campaigning.

I am campaigning in the sense that I am

trying to be a positive person.

Considering the fact that I am the oldest [bleep] here.

Mm-hmm.

You know, that's an accomplishment.

- Yeah. - You know.

I think you've done great.

And I'm OK with that, you know.

Do I want to leave?

No, I like being in here.

But if I went and got Lisa to vote for you,

then there's no way, if you got it, that Lisa

could go up next week.

[sighing]

That's the tough part, isn't it?

Yeah.

It's very interesting, Roddy talks about how in this house,

people's memory fades, and people forget things.

I don't.

I've remembered some stuff that Roddy

has said, in terms of strategy, that I don't forget.

Clearly Roddy has been part of lots of alliances.

There's a chance I could bring something

interesting to the table on this one.

Well like you said, each week, you hit the reset button.

Yep.

[whirring]

Girls' coalition, with the girls sticking together is gone.

The girls are sticking together. - I know.

It'll still be the girls-- girls versus guys.

Girls and guys.

The guys thing is gone.

We turn on Tonya, and get Tonya out,

so the two girls are stuck.

The original hot tub people are gone.

This is the six votes that should be controlled.

The couples thing is gone.

Were you skeptical of trusting anything outside of the girls,

you think?

No, I trust you.

The you and Marcellas thing, it seems to be gone, too.

As much as I really, really like Roddy,

and I really like playing with him, I don't trust him.

It's just a bit of feedback from people

over the last couple of weeks, that people want me out,

because I'm doing well at this game.

We all keep saying the same thing,

that perception is everything in this house.

The perception is that you're smarter than everyone else.

I wish that were the case.

No disrespect, you're not.

At this point, I've heard everybody's out

to get everybody times over.

Did you just tell me I wasn't smart?

Yeah.

I nominated, this week, you, Gerry, and you, Amy.

I understand.

I feel extremely secure about this week,

and it all depends on who gets Head of Household next week.

If like, Danielle gets Head of Household, or if Lisa gets Head

of Household-- even Marcellas--

I think everyone's going to be after Roddy.

The devil.

The devil.

It seems that Danielle and Roddy are the lead players

in this week's drama.

I don't hate Roddy.

You know, Danielle and I, we get along very well.

But he's a threat to me in this game.

She likes me, but probably doesn't want me in the house

at the end of the game.

And it's nothing personal, it's business.

It seems like in the house, there's a battle of wills

between Danielle and Roddy.

I mean, hear me on something.

Like, I couldn't stand the old Amy tonight.

It was driving me out of my mind.

Danielle is scared of Roddy, she wants him gone.

Roddy, it seems, is scared of Danielle, he wants her gone.

Saying information on her.

But see, you're a strong player,

she's so strong player, and that would naturally--

it'd all be an assumption.

Roddy, I think, is everyone's biggest threat.

And I know a lot of people are buckling under him,

and going to try to ride him to the end.

I think about this game constantly, constantly.

Are you ready to play?

It's time to play.

I keep it internal, I hold my cards close.

I'll show 'em when I have to show 'em.

She's been more adept at just playing everyone evenly.

I think if Danielle gets Head of Household,

she'll put Roddy up.

I think if Roddy gets Head of Household,

he'll put Danielle up.

I would really like it if Marcellas

would win Head of Household.

I think he may put Roddy and Danielle up against each other,

clash of the titans.

Just, you know, let it happen, let them battle it out.

Hi everybody. - Hey.

Hello.

Hi Julie.

JULIE: Oh, everyone's in a much better mood tonight,

than you were last week.

Last week everyone was so somber.

Yeah.

It's good to see.

Roddy, I want to start with you.

Yes.

You spent two weeks on the nomination block,

and referred to yourself as the Susan Lucci of the house.

Yes.

JULIE: That was very clever, by the way.

Hey, all right.

JULIE: How surprised are you not to be nominated this week?

It feels like I got paroled.

I'm happy to be on the block.

But of course, it's sad, you know,

we get to love these people, and it's a shame

that someone's got to go.

Absolutely.

Well, now that nearly half of you are gone,

whom do you guys miss the most?

Roddy, I'm going to stay with you.

Who do you miss the most?

I miss Chiara the most.

It's a simple answer.

Want to give a reason why?

Well, because her and I just became closest friends,

and also, we get to spend the longest time with her,

so that's got a lot to do with it also.

JULIE: But Eric was your buddy.

Eric was my pal.

But unfortunately, you know, he was so many weeks ago,

it seems like, that the Chiara bond is

much more fresh, and much more-- you know,

a little bit more painful.

Lisa, I take it that Eric is the one that you miss the most.

Yes, he is.

Does anyone miss Josh?

Yes.

Yeah.

Of course.

Who do you guys miss the least?

Josh.

[laughing]

He did add a lot of life to the house.

Yes, he did.

Now, after tonight, the map bedroom--

or what you all refer to as the "High Rent

District," or HRD for short--

Where I lived.

Yes, that's right.

It's about to be closed.

That means, unfortunately, one of you

will be sleeping on an army cot.

Danielle, thanks for volunteering.

Who's it going to be-- wait, Danielle?

I've been there, done that.

No problem. Is that all you got?

Bring it on.

JULIE: Wait, wait, wait, has it been determined that you

are the one going to do it?

I'm looking at that big room over there,

I don't know about y'all.

JULIE: Ah.

So it hasn't been decided.

Are you guys going to draw straws, or--

part of strategy.

I think I might actually take a cot.

I would take a cot.

I think it'll be like, kind of chic.

I think we're all willing to do whatever it takes.

Yeah.

Danielle, by the way, congratulations--

As a result, your family sent you a video from home.

Do you have anything you'd like

to say to your husband Javier, in response

to his romantic sentiments?

Well, some things I can't say out loud.

But thank him-- just thank him very much, and thank America.

And it was inspirational, and I really need it.

JULIE: What was it like, watching that video.

Just, it was realizing that people out there really

love you and care for you.

And it just gives me the inspiration

to continue in this game, and I really appreciate it.

What Jason's parents have to say about the young man

they see on TV, and his friendship with Chiara.

But first, tonight is eviction night.

Of the seven houseguests remaining,

four cast their votes to evict.

The two nominees, Amy and Gerry, are not allowed to vote.

As Head of Household, Jason only votes in case of a tie.

All votes are cast in secret in the diary room.

Let's listen in as Marcellas and Lisa

prepare to cast their votes.

I think Gerry came into the house-- yeah, you're a teacher.

But I didn't come here to be parented,

and I certainly didn't come here to be someone's protege.

Amy is funny, Amy is gregarious, Amy is aggressive,

Amy is young.

Amy's got some growing to do.

I feel as though Gerry often goes out on tangents, and talks

at you, instead of to you.

And he's somebody that I don't think

appreciates his houseguests.

And I feel as though he feels that he's above them.

Now that Amy's back, I don't know what it is,

but we have so much fun together,

and we have great conversations.

And she's actually, she's a lot of fun, and she makes me laugh.

Although she brings laughter into the house,

I kind of feel at times as though she

clashes with the house as well.

Welcome back to Big Brother.

Tonight, all eyes are on Gerry and Amy.

In just a few minutes, one of them

will walk out of the house, and return to the real world.

For Jason, nominating the two for eviction

appeared to be one of the hardest

things he's ever had to do.

Back in Mobile, Alabama, Jason's family and church have

been watching his every move.

So we asked them how they think their hometown

boy has fared in the very different

world of the Big Brother House.

[music playing]

Go Jason!

Jason is a great guy.

He's a very fun loving.

He loves to sing, he loves to worship in front of a group.

[SINGING] With your overflowing love.

He likes to perform.

Best and most in country music.

Jason is a Christian.

He's actually been a junior high pastor at our church,

he was for three years.

That's a love in his life, just to be able to minister

to young people, and be an example to them.

[music playing]

When we got to the live feeds at first,

it was very distressing to me.

[yelling]

This is like sending your child to college,

and watching everything that they do.

Finally.

Ladies and gentlemen!

Woo!

Yes!

A lot of people asked me how I felt about Jason being

on national TV in a Speedo.

A little embarrassing, but--

a little embarrassing.

Chiara is someone that Jason was attracted to,

because she's a lot of fun.

I think he enjoyed her energy.

I really think his relationship with Chiara

was something that he will carry on outside of the house.

Let's just say, I don't agree with that.

She obviously is unlike any girl that Jason

has ever been around, or would have been attracted to.

Does your bride have to be a virgin?

No.

I'm not gonna-- I'm not going to pass up some amazing girl,

you know, because of a mistake that she made, over, and over,

and over, and over again, Kiki.

[laughing]

So when Jason nominated Gerry and Amy,

we were yelling, "Roddy and Amy, Roddy and Amy."

He truly believes that he needs

Roddy, from a strategy standpoint,

to get further down the game.

Pull it, pull it, pull.

You're doing a whole thing.

Jason is definitely playing the game.

Jason's strategy, going into the house, was to number one,

use his biggest asset, and that was to be liked.

D-O-W-N, and that's the way to get down.

Woo!

He's still a nice guy, so he doesn't

seem like he's a fierce competitor,

but he is playing the game.

To have Jason gone, it's been very difficult. We miss him,

there's a gap in our life when Jason's gone.

Mobile has really gotten behind Jason,

and they've really shown a lot of support, and a lot of love

for Jason.

We love you!

It's been a tough week for Jason.

He's sitting alone in his private room,

let's talk to him now.

Hi Jason.

Hi Julie.

Now just a reminder, the other houseguests

cannot hear our conversation, so you can be candid, OK?

Excellent.

Great.

Now, you've been pretty clear that Danielle

is your key ally in this game.

And yet, as much as she wanted you to nominate Roddy,

you chose not to.

Why?

It was a tough week, and it ultimately came down to--

I just have to trust Roddy is going

to be an ally in this game for me,

and that's a good position to be in, here in this house.

And then, I gave my word to Roddy and Kiki,

five minutes before the live show last week, and I just--

I couldn't break my word.

I really wanted to play this game with honor,

so it was tough, and I don't know

if I made the right decision.

I may have given Roddy this game,

but I just had to do what I felt like I

needed to do, as far as how I wanted to play this game.

Also, in explaining the reason for this decision,

you stated that Roddy has looked out

for you time and time again.

Those were your words, that's a direct quote.

Yeah.

What do you mean by that?

When Gerry was Head of Household,

he wanted to put me on the block.

Roddy tells me that he went to bat for me, and saved me there.

The week Roddy was Head of Household,

he didn't put me up for nomination.

Even the week Kiki was HOH, I heard a rumor that I was going

up, and Roddy stood up for me.

So I just felt like I owed it to my friend.

And I really consider Roddy a real and true friend.

Did you have any regrets throughout the week,

and right now?

No, I really don't, because it made the week pretty easy.

It was a really safe decision to go this way,

and I kept my word to Roddy and to Kiki,

and I really was a friend, and looked out for my buddy--

my buddy Rod.

And kind of did what he's done for me time and time again.

So it did feel good, and I don't have any regrets.

JULIE: Well, keeping your word seems very important to you,

and that's nice to hear.

Now, obviously, you know, we've seen what a difficult week

it has been for you at times.

But have you at least enjoyed the perks?

Oh yeah, the week has been full of perks.

We won a good amount of food, so we've had plenty to eat.

And we won the Dunkin' Donuts thing,

and so we have gone crazy.

We're we're on really a big sugar buzz right now.

Dunkin' Donuts is going to love that plug you just gave.

We hope.

It's been three weeks since Eric

left the Big Brother house.

Now that he's back home in Connecticut,

how does the young firefighter feel about his Big Brother

romance with Lisa, and her decision to vote Amy back

in the house instead of him.

We'll find out next.

But first, the houseguests must oust one of their own.

Roddy and Danielle are next to enter the diary room.

Let's listen to what's on their minds

as they prepare to cast their vote.

Amy's had a tendency to be a little bit--

just a touch selfish.

Especially in the beginning, she was pretty selfish.

And she admitted that in the house, some of her behavior

was focused on her.

And I'm not a big fan of that stuff.

A reason I think Gerry should stay in the house,

it's pretty selfish, is that if Ger stays, Ger owes me a favor,

and I would hate to have that wasted.

Yeah, you can't help but have a lot of respect for Gerry.

Because when you think about it, for Gerry to be in this house,

he has really, really kept up with the young crowd.

Amy's a spoiled child.

[laughing]

Gets on your nerves at times.

Amy has been given that second chance.

And sometimes you go, dang it, you know, that girl

was in Mexico, drinking margaritas,

probably during the week when I was on peanut butter and jelly.

From the Big Brother House to the firehouse--

Eric's had a couple of weeks now to adjust

to normal life in Milford, Connecticut, and a lot of time

to think about his in-house sweetheart, Lisa.

[music playing]

[loudspeaker announcement]

It's been great to get back to.

Work All the guys in my department,

I can't say enough about them.

Welcome back, Eric.

Ah!

When I got back, you know, everyone

was kind of busting on me.

Hey lizard king!

Sending this one out to my two lizards that I miss very much.

And how I never had a shirt on.

Here you have to wear a shirt, so--

That is one fine-looking young man.

Marcellas is saying the same thing.

Look at that, huh?

Not bad for a white guy.

How I was handling a garden hose,

pretending like I was fighting a fire.

And I can control it like this, but all

the weight's right here.

There were also very, very curious about what

happened with Lisa, obviously.

We were laughing, because remember that day you said,

I'm not going to hook up with any women.

Because one of the guys said--

I wasn't expecting that, I just saw her, and I went,

yeah, well.

I mean, they were actually very pleased to hear

that it wasn't just a fling.

Can I tell you something really, really cheesy?

Absolutely.

This is the most romantic thing that I've ever done.

[music playing]

I guess we familiarized ourselves

with each other's body.

JULIE: Eric, you have been evicted

from the Big Brother House.

It was tough when I first left, because I didn't know

if maybe what had happened was because

of strategy purposes for her, or how she really felt about me.

JULIE: If you want Eric to return,

raise your black battle paddle.

When I first heard that Lisa did not

vote to have me brought back into the house, I was hurt,

I was.

I definitely was.

Eric, I'm sorry.

And I just hope that you can forgive me.

I know that she was a little broken up over that,

and I don't want her to be.

In the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't

have made a difference.

Even if Lisa voted for you to come back in, you still

wouldn't have got in, 'cause you didn't have the votes anyways.

It would have been-- it would have been nice to have that

vote, just to look at it, and see, yeah,

she wants be back in the house.

Right, right.

But, you know, strictly strategy, and %,

I understand.

I'm gonna miss you.

I'm gonna miss you too.

But it's not gonna be for long.

I'm really looking forward to a first date

without the cameras.

Yeah, I miss his eyes, and I miss his smile, and the way

that his eyes light up when he smiles at me.

I'm very anxious for her to get out of the house,

and see what happens with us.

Well, Eric will have to wait at least one more

week to have private time with Lisa,

because it's Amy and Gerry whose fate will be decided tonight.

JULIE: Forget Roddy.

Is it any easier this time around?

You know what, I'm so used to it, it just doesn't affect me.

Come Wednesday night, most every Wednesday, I just pack my bags

and prepare.

JULIE: You don't bother unpacking at this point.

No, and I won't.

If I stay, I won't bother unpacking after this.

JULIE: Well, have the three experiences

been different each time?

Not really, they've all been pretty much the same.

I knew I was leaving last time, so that

was a little bit different.

The only thing different about this

is I didn't have a going away party, and the first two,

I did, so--

JULIE: Yeah, that one got old, right?

Yeah, it did.

They don't want to throw it for you anymore.

No one wants to show up anymore, you know?

Well Amy, do you have any final thoughts you'd like

to share with your housemates?

Actually, I do.

I have a precious little silky terrier, Oliver Buckingham--

Bucky.

And today is Bucky's seven-month birthday, so I just want

to say happy birthday to Bucky.

you're sitting with right now? - You know what?

I've said my goodbye speeches so many times.

Nerve-wracking?

Yeah, it's been, it's been-- it's been a little tough.

It's been a wonderful bonding experience.

But you know, I came into this house with a rich life,

and it's only been richer because I've got

to spend it with these people.

And if I'm ever trapped somewhere again,

I couldn't think of a finer group of people

to be trapped with.

JULIE: Oh, is that what it is?

You went in willingly, now.

Yes we did, yes we did.

Well, I was going to ask you if you had any final thoughts,

but those sound like your final thoughts.

Anything else you want to add?

No, just-- pretty much life hands you an opportunity guys,

and when you get it, carpe diem, seize the day and go with it.

First of all, welcome to the studio.

OK, well.

How are you feeling, Gerry?

Well, I'd rather be back in there, but I'm OK.

I'm OK.

JULIE: Are you surprised?

No, not terribly, not terribly.

You know, I've used this line before, it's from Hamlet,

you know--

"The readiness is all."

You've got to be ready, you can't walk into that house

without expecting to walk out.

And it's been tough, I'm years older than anybody

else in that house.

JULIE: Yeah, I want to talk to you about that.

Was that tough? - Yeah, that was tough.

That was--

Why?

Every now and then, the generation

gap sort of shows it's--

I wouldn't say ugly head-- but it just shows up,

sometimes there's the commonality.

I mean, things we have in common are

just a little bit different because of my life

experience, stuff like that.

Sometimes you felt like you didn't fit in, then?

Yeah, yeah, it was tough, It was tough.

Especially with all the frolics, and stuff like that.

You were not into the frolics.

Well, my frolic days are gone.

You said that it's all about being ready.

But were you ready tonight?

Yeah, I was ready.

I was ready.

And in some ways, I feel actually kind of lucky,

because I'm actually really lucky to go back to a job

that I really, really love.

Yeah, teaching, that's great.

And that's sort of actually been weighing

on my mind a little bit.

I mean, when school's due to start next week.

Yes, that's a good point.

What did you think of Jason, when he nominated you and Amy?

I was a little surprised, because he had told me he

was going to do something else.

He was going to nominate Roddy.

It didn't surprise me, I told him to follow his heart.

You know, that strategically he had

to do what was best for him.

JULIE: But it didn't surprise you, even though he told you

he was going to nominate Roddy?

No, nothing ever surprises me.

I mean, it couldn't.

I mean, it's playing the game.

Of course, if you perceive me as a threat, I was a threat.

And I had, you know--

that was in his best interest.

In essence, he decided to trust Roddy.

Do you think he'll regret trusting Roddy?

Yeah, he might. JULIE: Why?

He might.

Because Roddy's a player.

And you know, Roddy's a strong, strong player,

and Roddy will end up doing whatever's best for Roddy.

And if that means Jason's got to go, then Jason's going to go.

You spent a lot of time working out in the house.

Yeah.

You clearly lost weight.

Are you going to continue with this?

Oh absolutely, absolutely.

When I knew I was coming into the house,

I knew I was presented with a special opportunity.

Especially when you're dropped in with all

these Adonises, and these--
