General Ross has ordered an
unidentified flying object shot down,

and Rick Jones races
to stop the rockets,

for he knows aboard the ship is
the Hulk, Dr Bruce Banner's alter ego.

But too late.

Surround that ship.
Seal off the area.

A lone figure emerges
from the smouldering wreckage.

- It's Dr Bruce Banner.
- So it's you. Arrest this man.

Inside, the toadmen silently blast
a hole to escape the earthlings.

The soldiers search the wreckage
for signs of life.

Hurry, before the earthlings
discover us.

Bring out the magnetic signal flares.

Prepare to attack the earth.

Meanwhile, General Ross has placed
Banner under guard as a traitor.

You're the only one who could
save them from the toadmen

and they lock you up.

Look, when it gets dark,
the Hulk could bust out, couldn't he?

Perhaps, but it might be better
if darkness never came.

I want a 24-hour guard
around the prison.

Spanning vast galaxies,

the mighty space force
of the toadmen nears its objective.

In a lonely, barren cell, Dr Banner
watches the gathering twilight.

At the Rosses ' home, the General
and Betty discuss the prisoner.

Dad, Bruce is not a traitor.

Finding him in the wreckage of that
ship must have some explanation.

Hogwash.
His fate is up to Washington now.

What? Invasion?
Sound the red alert.

Dad, if earth is in danger,

we'll need Bruce Banner's
knowledge and skill.

And earth is in danger,
as the fearsome armada approaches.

Puny earthlings, this is Torrak,
your master, speaking.

My invincible forces
control the skies

and are set to hurl our mighty
magnetic beams at your moon.

Each minute it will spin ever closer,

bringing destruction
to your primitive planet.

Surrender or die.

On TV screens from Bangor to Bangkok

the people watch the raving Torrak.

Fight 'em and beat 'em.
Send for Bruce Banner.

Banner, with Rick his only visitor,
is listening to Torrak's warnings.

Even as I speak,

spacecraft such as this
thunder into your solar system

and the moon
drifts closer and closer.

Coastal cities will be flooded.

The ground will crumble beneath you.

Soon the crust of the earth
will crack.

Your buildings will topple.

Banner! Where's Banner?

Even now, the tides are rising.

It is the end, the end of mankind.

But surrender
and we will reverse the rays.

Never.
Somehow we'll beat you all.

Alone again as the shadows deepen,
one man awaits the fall of night.

It's beginning. My throat goes dry,
my pulse pounds.

Lumbering like a human battering ram,

Crouching in the shadows,
the Hulk eludes his pursuers,

while alone at home
Betty hears the Hulk's approach.

and his pursuers stand face to face,
