Tyranus smirks in jubilation

until the Mole Man
employs his dreaded freeze g*n

and fires at the Hulk point blank.

Selfishly, Tyranus grieves
not for the Hulk but for himself.

With the monster dead
and no Fountain of Youth for me,

I am truly doomed.

But is the Hulk dead?

Spineless, brainless, craven cowards.

Desert and you'll face
the Mole Man's wrath.

Bring forth the octosapien.

The mighty Hulk roars defiant.

Apply maximum pressure.

Wait. The life-reduction ray.

The robot readies the coup de grâce.

And now the gravity ray. Fire.

One last desperate rush.

And then... oblivion.

Convinced the Hulk is dead,
the Mole Man's legions

sweep across Subterranea.

But is he?

Incredible.

It's not the Hulk or the robot,

but Bruce Banner.

Where in the world or out of it am I?

I must find Betty and Rick.

Now I remember.
They're Tyranus's captives.

And this is his subterranean realm.

Tyranus, give me that ray g*n.

Out of my way.

I must recapture the enchanted
fountain without the Hulk's help.

The other two, where are they?

Oh, to drink the magic elixir
and regain my lost youth.

Behold, I once looked like this.

Now where are Betty and Rick?

Those two... I sent them to the
surface with my matter transmitter.

You've broken my statue.

Babbling, senile old fool.

There's enough magic elixir here
to regain my youth.

Miles above, on the surface,
Rick and Betty materialise.

It was a mad nightmare.
Were we really under the earth?

We sure were,
and the Hulk is still down there.

- Wait till he learns we found her.

- What of Rick Jones?

We'll take him, too.

Dad, it was horrible.

Meanwhile, Bruce makes his way
toward the matter transmitter...

..where he stumbles upon the last
great battle between the Mole Men

and Tyranus's legions.

Look, a spy.

Stop, you fools.

Bruce's anger triggers
the incredible change once more

and he becomes the rampaging Hulk.

Seeking refuge, the Hulk comes upon
the complex matter transmitter

and crawls to the top,
unwittingly turning it on,

and the transmission begins.

Finally, the waves
of subtronic energy cease.

The transport is complete.

Restored once more
to the unsuspecting surface world,

the Hulk sleeps.

Meanwhile, Betty and her father
discuss Bruce Banner's absence,

while Rick Jones
worries about the Hulk,

and the green-tinted giant
rises from his slumbers,

crawling back into the world of men.

Rick? Where's Rick?

Have to find him.

Roaring with anguish and frustration,

the Hulk hurls defiance
at the hostile human world,

but no one is listening.
