Like, you missed one, Scoob.

No, I didn't.

[giggles]

And that's the news for tonight.

- I guess it's bedtime. - Wait! Don't touch that dial.

We have a special news bulletin.

Moments ago The Last National Bank of Coolsville was robbed.

Mr. Williams, the bank janitor, witnessed the crime.

When I got to work, I noticed that the vault door was open.

I looked inside, and I saw an ugly creature

stealing all the money.

Huh?

It was all slimy

and creepy and spooky and looked like..

...The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core.

Yikes!

[whimpers]

It was horrible!

Like, yipe.

That's the end of our special report.

Now, it's time for all you kids and dogs to go to bed.

And we hope you don't run into that monster.

[laughing]

Hey, wait a minute, Scoob. Why are we afraid?

The Last National Bank is, like, all the way Downtown.

Oh, yeah. Hee-hee-hee.

Sleep tight. Ha-ha-ha. See you tomorrow.

M-m-my doghouse is haunted.

This sounds like a job for the Scooby-Doo Detective Agency.

Now, let me get this straight.

You want us to believe that a giant monster was in there?

Scooby would imagine something like that?

Well, actually, yes!

But Scoob said this monster was huge.

Yeah, huge.

- And horrible. - Yeah, horrible.

[growling]

Shaggy.

- Scooby. - Sorry.

Well, g*ng, it looks like we have a monster mystery to solve.

Oh, can't it wait till morning, Freddy? I need my beauty rest.

Then again, maybe I don't.

Don't worry, guys. I know who's behind this monster business.

[Scooby whimpering]

[grunting]

Scoob, remind me to put you back on puppy aerobics tomorrow.

Come on, Red Herring, give yourself up.

Hey, what's the big idea?

Admit it. You're the one that scared Scooby.

- What are you talking about? - We know it was you.

Why else would you be up at 1:00 in the morning?

[spitting]

Got any more brilliant ideas, Sherlock?

If we're gonna catch that monster in the act

we're gonna have to go inside Scooby's doghouse.

Will you go inside for a Scooby Snack?

- Uh-uh. - 'Two Scooby Snacks?'

- Uh-uh. - 'Alright, three.'

- 'But that is my final offer.' - Well, okay.

Mm! Mm! Mm!

[laughs] Like, wow.

Ahh! Follow me.

Okay, Scooby, we'll all go in.

All of us, in there? It's a doghouse.

What if it has fleas, or those disgusting furballs

all over the place or something even worse

[gasps] like...dust.

Come on, Daphne, it's okay. See for yourself.

[scatting]

- Jinkies. - What a pad.

Scooby, your house is awesome.

Why, it's almost as nice as my mansion.

- Really? - I said "Almost."

Scooby, this is really radical.

Thanks. Yeah, rad.

But if there really is a monster in here

there's only one way to find him.

- Let's split up, g*ng. - Split up? Uh-uh. Uh-uh.

Like, no way!

Scoob and I are staying right here where it's safe.

- Yeah. - Oh, alright.

We'll be back in a little while.

Okay, like, have fun. Ha-ha-ha.

You know, Scoob, I hate hiding from a monster

on an empty stomach.

[giggles]

Yeah. Let's eat.

Watch, Shaggy.

[clears throat] Excuse me.

[clicking]

Like, that's what I call hidden treasure.

[munching]

Hey, Scoob, would you like a bite

of my peanut butter and potato chip pizza?

[monster growling]

Like, no need to get upset, Scoob.

If you don't want any, just say no.

[shrieking]

[instrumental music]

[both panting]

Like, let's hide up in the attic, Scoob.

[panting] Okay, Shaggy.

[roaring]

[cuckooing]

♪ Just don't look in his eye ♪

♪ He's got his eye on you ♪♪

[growling]

[comical music]

I don't see any sign of any silly, old monster.

- Jinkies. - Huh? Velma spoke.

She said "Jinkies." it must be important.

- Look, a muddy footprint. - What does it mean?

It means Scooby needs a maid. Yuck.

[clattering]

It's a m-m-monster.

I don't think so.

- Leave us alone, you big bully. - Yeah, get lost.

- 'Hey, guys, it's us.' - Huh?

Whew! Are we glad to see you.

You know, it wasn't very nice trying to scare us like that.

Sorry, Freddy

(Freddy) 'What are you doing, Velma?'

Conducting an experiment.

[machine whirring]

- It's sewer mud. - Ooh, that's gross.

You better get your plumbing fixed, Scooby.

Like, I'll bet that goop is from the horrible beast

The Sludge Monster from the Earth's Core.

Sludge Monster? Yikes!

[Scooby whimpering]

Like, that does it, I'm calling the police.

I've been sludged. The telephone's covered

'with Sludge Monster slime. Yuck.'

Yeah, yuck.

I think Mr. Monster used Scooby's phone.

Like, I hope it wasn't long distance.

Just wait until the police hear about this.

(police) 'This is the police. Give yourself up.'

Wow, that was fast.

[helicopter whirring]

- This is what I call service. - Yeah.

Norville, like, what are you doing up?

Your mother will have a cow.

Scooby's doghouse is haunted, dad.

But why are the police looking for the monster out here?

Yeah, the monster is in there.

What are you talking about?

The guy we're after is, like, a real live bank robber.

And he's been seen in this neighborhood.

A bank robber? Hmm.

Maybe that's who was hiding in Scooby's doghouse.

But, dad, this was a real monster.

- Oh, really? - Yeah.

Scoob, show dad what he looked like.

Okay.

[growling]

Like, what do you think, dad?

I think Scooby needs to see a doctor.

Now, you kids better get inside where it's safe

and let us professionals handle things.

[tires screech]

I'm Mr. Buckston, President of The Last National Bank.

Did you catch the janitor yet?

We've been searching ever since we received your call.

- But we haven't found him yet. - Well, hurry.

I gave him a key to the bank to clean the floors

and instead, he cleaned out my vault.

Hmm.

See? I told you there's no monster.

It's only a bank-robbing janitor.

Yeah, come on.

I knew there was nothing to be afraid of.

Uh, you go first, Daphne.

Can't you get a bigger door, Scooby?

Like, gee, Scoob, maybe we'll never find that Sludge Monster.

[gulps]

(male #1) You got that right.

It's, like, The Sludge Monster!

[dramatic music]

[all shrieking]

Alright, let me get this straight.

[groans] Huh? Yikes!

Like, wait for me, Scoob.

Hey, you're not The Sludge Monster.

You're Mr. Williams, the janitor.

That's right. Did you kids see The Sludge Monster too?

- Like, yeah. - W-what did he look like?

Well, he was big and mean-looking.

[gulps] Kind of like you.

(Scooby) 'Yeah, like you.'

Grr! You kids are no help at all.

I didn't rob that bank. It was the monster.

Please. There are no such things as monsters.

[siren wailing] Huh?

Uh-oh. I'd better get out of here before they find me.

This is a nice place you got here.

Give me a call if you ever need a janitor.

Like, maybe he didn't rob the bank.

Get real, Shaggy. He's just saying that.

Besides, who else could have done it?

Well, I guess that settles that.

Hmm.

The janitor used his key to rob the bank. Mr. Buckston said so.

And when he hid in the doghouse, Scooby thought he saw a monster.

It's as simple as that.

[munching]

[scatting]

[chomping]

Hey, something's wrong with your faucet, Scooby.

[clanging]

It's in the basement.

Gee, Scoob, why didn't you tell us

you had all this gold down here?

We can, like, buy ourselves a lifetime supply

of candy and comic books.

Huh?

You mean, it's not yours, Scoob?

- Uh-uh. - Then whose is it?

[monster roaring]

- More of that slime. - Ew! Yuck.

But why would the monster dig a hole in Scooby's basement?

[keys clicking]

Jinkies. Check this out.

(Shaggy) 'Zoinks. Like, Scoob's basement must be 100 feet deep.'

- Actually, it's 132.7. - Yeah.

But to where does this hole lead?

The only way to solve this mystery

is for us to go down there and find out.

Uh, who's first?

Me? Uh-uh. No way.

Would you do it for three Scooby Snacks like you did before?

- Uh-uh. Uh-uh. - Four Scooby Snacks?

How about the whole box of Scooby Snacks?

It's a deal.

[instrumental music]

Mm! Mm! Mm!

- Well, is it safe? - No problem.

[whimpering]

Like, did you say "No problem," Scoob?

[whimpers] Yeah.

[whimpers] I'm feeling seasick.

I'm getting sick too.

This sewer is loaded with cooties.

[whimpering]

Hey, look at that, a ladder.

- 'But where does it lead to?' - I think I know. Come on.

So that's how the janitor robbed the bank.

Yeah, and, like, he hid the money in Scooby's basement.

[clicking]

What's that?

(all) Yikes!

[growling]

Like, l-let's get out of here.

Hey, wait a minute. How come the monster has a key to the bank?

Like, like, maybe he has a big account here.

Yeah.

No way. He must have gotten this key

from his partner, Red Herring.

I know that this mud comes from Red's backyard.

- It does? - Yeah.

The Sludge Monster must be a member of the mole people.

And they've teamed up with Red Herring

to conquer the world.

Gee, Freddy, you really are a genius.

[roaring]

[all yelling]

[growls]

Like, you want to open an account, sir? Name, please?

[growls]

And how do you spell that?

I see. Well, with your new account

you'll receive these complimentary gifts.

'A coffeepot, blender, toaster, microwave'

and this super-duper, double-door freezer.

Like, thank you and have a nice day, sir.

Yeah.

[roars]

[upbeat music]

Oh, no.

(all) What's wrong?

I got some of that yucky sewer mud on my new robe.

(all) Oh, brother.

[monster growling]

[roars]

- 'Hey, tall, dark and slimy.' - Huh?

Na-na-na-na-na! Bet you can't catch us.

[roaring]

Like, if this works, that monster will be all washed-up.

[giggles] Yeah.

Now, Shaggy!

[roars]

Now, Scoob.

[roars]

[shrieking]

[upbeat music]

[roaring]

[laughing]

Uh-oh.

Like, it looks like you dropped in at the wrong time, Scoob.

[roaring]

[all yelling]

[upbeat music]

[scatting]

[music continues]

Like, shh! Like, I don't wanna wake up

my mom and my baby sister.

Oh, boy, potato chips.

(all) Shh!

Sorry.

[scatting]

[roaring]

[scatting]

[crashing]

[roaring]

Like, it's a good thing your puppy door

isn't monster-sized, Scoob.

Yeah.

- Good job, Norville. - Thanks, dad.

You kids are the ones who should get all the thanks.

We appreciate that, Mr. Williams

but who's the monster?

I know. It's the janitor.

I'll bet he stole all that money.

But Mr. Williams is the janitor, Freddy.

Oh, yeah.

Well, then it's gotta be Red Herring.

Yeah, that's it.

He didn't take baths for weeks

until he looked like a sludge monster.

No, it's not Mr. Williams or Red Herring.

It's the bank president, Mr. Buckston.

[all gasp]

How'd you know it was me?

(Velma) I noticed that your clothes were sloppy..

...right after the monster made his phone call.

You must have changed clothes in a big hurry.

And other than Mr. Williams

Mr. Buckston was the only one with a key to the bank.

Wow. But why did he haunt Scooby's doghouse?

To scare Scooby away so he could use it

as a hiding place for all the gold he stole.

Sorry I had to sneak up on you kids.

I was just following the trail of the monster.

Yes, and he would've taken the blame

if it weren't for these pesky kids.

Like, yeah. And a pup named..
