for a performance by Buddy "The Bud Man" Chillner.

And I was ready to rock and roll along

with my cool pal, a pup named Scooby-Doo.

That's me!

Tickets for Daphne Blake, please.

Oh, here you go, Miss Blake.

Like, those tickets must have cost a fortune.

Yeah, a fortune.

According to Velma, it costs $27,345

and 89 cents.

A whole week's allowance.

But I wanted to make sure that we got the best seats.

So I bought them all.

Like, it looks like we'll have

the snack bar all to ourselves, Scoob.

[slurps] Oh, boy!

[Daphne] Let's hurry. I don't wanna miss a second of..

...oh, Buddy!

Me neither. He's my favorite.

[drum roll]

[male #1] 'Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls.'

[clears throat]

'Oh, yes, and all pups'

'named Scooby-Doo.'

- Thank you. - 'You're welcome.'

[male #1] 'The Coolsville Amphitheater'

'is proud to present'

'Buddy "The Bud Man of Rock 'n Roll" Chillner.'

Oh, I think I'm going to faint.

Jenkins.

Allow me, Miss Blake.

[drum roll]

[applause]

[wind howling]

[male #2] 'Oo-goo-goo. Aa-goo-goo-goo.'

- Huh? - Like, what was that?

[laughing]

Like, it's a rock 'n roll ghost!

[mumbling]

[Buddy screaming]

[Daphne gasps] He's got my Buddy!

[growling]

[mumbling]

Oh, boy, like, let's blow this scene.

Hold it, Scooby!

We're not going anywhere without my Buddy.

[laughing]

[growls]

[wind howling]

[screaming]

It's the ghost of Purvis Parker!

[laughing]

[panting] I guess he's gone now.

Why, thank goodness!

Yeah. That ghost has been a real bummer.

Yeah, a real rummer.

[gasp] Can I have your autograph? He-he.

Who was that?

That was the ghost of Purvis Parker.

Purvis Parker? The chili dog king?

No, man. That's Percy Parker.

Oh, Buddy, you're so smart.

Purvis was the dude of rock 'n roll. And my idol.

'That's why I sing a few of his old tunes.'

- How's that? - Cool.

Like, didn't his private plane

disappear years ago?

That's what everyone says.

But his ghost has been showing up at all of my concerts.

Hey, that gives me an idea for a song.

at that spooky old man.

Well, it looks like he's history.

[Shaggy] 'Like, there he goes.'

I wish we could've gotten a closer look.

Like, Scoob's gonna take a picture of the car.

Yeah, then we can get the license plate number.

[humming]

[camera shutter clicks]

[Daphne] 'Oh, Scooby. You took a picture of a pizza parlor.'

[laughing] I know. I'm hungry.

[Fred] 'Hey, look at that bumper sticker.'

[Daphne] '"When in Coolsville visit Parker Place.'

'Home of the dude of Rock 'n Roll."'

Hey, that's where Purvis Parker lived.

Alright, let's check it out!

[Scooby babbling]

[Buddy] You know, I haven't seen this place for years.

[crickets chirping]

Say, aren't you Buddy Chillner?

That's him. No one else could be this cute.

- Uh, who are you, anyway? - I'm Mr. Dilton.

The museum curator and caretaker of Parker Place.

Like, this must be a neat place to work.

and everyone stopped coming.

a Purvis impersonator.

forget all about Purvis.

that's been haunting my sweet, innocent

and ultra cute Buddy?

No! Buddy probably dreamed of that ghost as a publicity stunt.

It all started a long time ago when the Martians

came down from Venus to kidnap Bigfoot.

[male #3] 'We interrupt, "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo"'

'for the special announcement.'

Whenever Freddie starts to talk too much, do what I do

and catch up on your reading.

[Fred] 'And then when I found out'

'he played baseball'

'with the mole men, I knew that..'

Uh, what was the question?

Like, if you ask me

the ghost has to be Lenny Lipner.

Yeah.

Oh, you two.

The only thing he is guilty of

is doing a bad impersonation.

The man we've seen sneaking around all night

has got to be the Buddy Napper.

Actually the ghost of Purvis Parker

is none other than..

...Mr. Dilton.

[all gasping]

[blowing raspberry]

[Velma] 'I first suspected him when he made change'

for Daphne's large bill..

...even though he said, business was bad.

And when Scooby found Buddy's guitar pick in the pool

I knew that Mr. Dilton must've dropped it.

So he is really the one who's been stealing

Buddy's concert money.

Yeah, and he also stole all

of Purvis' gold records.

Tell tale.

But like, how could he make the ghost fly?

By using the compressor that Scooby found.

Mr. Dilton hid it in his jacket..

[giggling]

Whoa!

But what happened to my ultra cute Buddy?

[Buddy] 'I am right here.'

Oh, Buddy, you're safe. Who's he?

I'm the man who started it all.

He is Purvis Parker, the dude of rock 'n' roll.

[all] Whoa!

wanted some peace and quite.

You know, I'm a big fan of Buddy's.

And after the ghost appeared at Buddy's last concert

I followed him back to Parker Place.

Well, I would've ruined Buddy

if it weren't for Purvis and you kids.

And their puppy.

when Buddy and Purvis appeared together in concert.

Wow! Purvis still knows how to rock 'n' roll.

And Buddy is cuter than ever.
