[wind howling]

- Yeti!
- Let us keep calm, Mezda.

It is automatic
reaction, Dr. Quest.

For generations we
have believed that to look upon

the face of Abominable Snowman
is to invite death.

[Kyle on radio]
'Doctor, it's Professor Kyle.
You read me?'

This is Dr. Quest receiving you
loud and clear, Kyle.

[Kyle]
'There's a massive storm cloud
headed your way.'

'We should all head back
to Khumbu Monastry.'

Roger and out.

Out is right, Ben Quest.
An avalance.

A granade in that bank
will do it.

Do it, man!

Benton Quest may have
traced the beast.

But I'll be the one who brings
the first Yeti back alive.

[dramatic music]

[dramatic music]

[expl*si*n]

[dramatic music]

[cracking]

[rumbling]

[Benton Quest]
We gotta get outta here.

[crashing]

[rumbling]

[dramatic music]

Ah-h!

[gasping]

Ah-h!

[crashing]

[instrumental music]

[wind howling]

[panting]

[dramatic music]

[computer beeping]

[Jonny]
'Where am I, Iris?'

[Iris]
'You have now reached
the last section'

'of level eight.'

[computer beeping]

[water dripping]

[dramatic music]

[rumbling]

What was that?

[Iris]
'What was what?'

Nevermind.

[footsteps]

[scrambling]

[dramatic music]

[Jonny]
All I gotta do
grab this emerald

and I'm off to
the next level?

[Iris]
'Arffirmative.'

Talk about easy. I'm not even
breaking a sweat, Iris.

Man, either I'm getting
too good or these..

whish

Whoa!

bang

[dramatic music]

Activate gatling g*n.

What the heck is this, Iris?

[Iris]
'Sorry, you can only access
sheild and sword on this level.'

Then you better
make it a big sword.

Give me a break, Iris.

[grunting]

Great.

[Iris]
'You requested a break.

Whoa!

smash

[grunting]

[Jonny]
'Ah-h!'

[dramatic music]

[wind howling]

[screeching]

Whoa!

[Jonny]
Iris, you never said anything
about these things duplicating.

[Iris]
'You never asked.'

No, come on!

[grunting]

Say goodnight, scorpion.

- Jonny.
- Look out.

[dramatic music]

[Jonny]
'Ah-h!'

[Jonny]
'Oh, man, I was just
about to blast those scorpions'

to kingdom come.

Yeah, and you were just about
to blast right off that balcony.

You would've enjoyed
kingdom come before the Yeti.

Ah. Kids.

What is it, dad?

Jonny, it's your old man.

[Race]
'There.
There's the avalanche.'

'Put us down at the foot
of that cliff.'

We'll climb up the bear's head
and go on to Khumbu.

If your dad's alive Jonny,
we'll find him.

[Race]
See anything?

[Jonny]
Nothing.

Absolutely no sign
of dad or the expedition.

[Hadji]
Do not despair my friend.

[Jessie]
Maybe the avalanche
just delayed him.

Maybe he's already
back at Khumbu monestry.

We should try to get there
before that storm breaks.

It is true what they say,
that the mountain

makes it's own weather.

Jonny, slow down.

We're travelling too fast
for the conditions.

I can't slow down, Hadji.
We gotta find my dad.

[rumbling]

Jonny!

[grunting]

No! Wait!

[both]
Whoa!

[grunting]

[all]
Ah-h!

[all]
Ah-h!

[panting]

[screaming]

Fur on a catfish!

[grunting]

[scraping]

Jessie, are you okay?

What's happening down there?

I'm okay, dad. Kind of.

[Race]
'Hadji? Jonny?'

We're okay, Race.

Metaphorically speaking,
of course.

[dramatic music]

I can't haul you back up.
You're too heavy.

You have to climb
back up on your own power.

That's going to be easier
said than done, dad.

But I, I have an idea.

[scraping]

[all]
Whoa!

[dramatic music]

[Jessie]
We gotta dump the cage.

Careful, Jess.

Ah, I never understand
why people say that.

It's like what?

Am I stupid enough
to take an impossible risk.

But, indeed, you are taking
an impossible risk.

[Jessie]
'Here it goes.'

[all]
Ah-h!

[grunting]

[dramatic music]

[grunting]

Don't ever scare me
like that again, sweetheart.

[grunting]

[Jonny]
Gotta hand it to her, Hadj.
She's pretty cool.

I thought you guys
would be lighter.

Ah, you see,
we are heavy with wisdom.

But are you smart enough to
figure out who set that trap?

[tribal music]

[opens lock]

[door creeks open]

[wind howling]

bang

Name's Race Bannon.
This is my daughter, Jessie.

'Hadji, Jonny Quest.'

We're looking
for Dr. Benton Quest.

[dramatic music]

[High Lama]
I understand your concern.

But I'm certain
our only other American visitor

is not your Dr. Quest.

- Professor Kyle?
- Where's my father?

I'd tell you if I knew.

You were on
the expedition with him.

He was your friend.
You abandoned him.

Anger changes
nothing, young man.

Nor will it locate
your father. Sit. Eat.

Build your strength.

When the weather changes
my monks will help you search.

Now, please, eat.

There's something I've been
wanting to ask, Your Highness.

And that is?

It's rumored that this monestry
posseses the mummified hand

of a Yeti. Proof that there
is an Abominable Snowman.

The hand of Khumbu is a sacred
artifact, Professor Kyle.

It never leaves our vault and
it's never shown to outsiders.

Now, I bid you all
to conclude your meal

and wish you
a good night's rest.

We will search tomorrow,
weather permitting.

[door closes]

- What's happening?
- I'm gonna take a look around.

- 'I'm coming too.'
- No. You hang tight, Jonny.

[Race]
I'll be back.

[door closes]

bang

[dramatic music]

Dad's been gone for three hours.
I'm not waiting any longer.

Wait.

[dramatic music]

[chanting]

[glass shattering]

[Hadji]
'What are they doing?'

'The hand of Kumbu!'

[Jonny]
'Look at the size
of that thing.'

- Must've belonged to a giant.
- Or a Yeti.

But why are Kumbu's monks
stealing a secret relic?

It's not a live specimen.
But it's a start.

Professor Kyle.

Do you know how much
this is worth?

Ha, but this is peanuts
compared to the price I'll pay

for a live snowman

Cannot allow this sacrilege.

Hadj, what are you
trying to do?

I will appeal
to their nobler instincts

and demand that he
return the hand of Khumbu.

Noble instincts never made
anyone as rich as I'm gonna be.

Come on.

Come back here,
you little swine.

[dramatic music]

[gasping]

Tha hand of Khumbu!

Wait, it is not
as you are thinking.

That boy has desecrated
the hand of Khumbu.

Seize him!

[monks yelling]

Catch.

- Come on.
- Wait.

[glass shattering]

Ah-h!

- Ah-h!
- Ah-h!

- Jonny, you idiot.
- What, what did I do?

[monks yelling]

- Come on.
- 'Silence.'

Those kids stole the hand
of Khumbu, Your Holiness.

Fortunately,
we witnessed the theft.

[Jessie]
This is the stupidest thing
I've seen you do.

How long do you think we'll
survive without weather gear?

Long enough to figure
something out.

The question is,
whether to die by ice or knife?

Uh-uh. The question is,
how not to die at all.

Is this true,
you saw the theft?

It is true, Holiness.
We saw them steal it.

That is why you were
not at morning prayers?

No matter.
Search for the children.

Bring them back
to the monestry, unharmed.

Unharmed? They tried
to steal the hand of Khumbu.

But the question is,
why, Professor Kyle?

Hurry. They'll not survive this
cold for more than a few hours

The boy is the son of
your friend, is he not?

Strange that you wouldn't wanna
rescue him whatever his crime.

Search the mountain,
find the children.

- They cannot be far away.
- You leave me no choice.

[gasping]

Lock 'em in the chant room.

You have betrayed your faith.

No, Holiness.
I have found a new faith.

[creature crying]

The traps! Come on,
get those monks locked up

and check our traps.

[footsteps]

Ah-h!

Jess! I got ya.
Hang on.

[grunting]

[cracking]

[all]
Ah-h!

[screaming]

I got you, Jess.

- You okay?
- Yeah. But who's that?

Guess there's only
one way to find out.

[panting]

[grunting]

- It's Mezda.
- Dad's guide?

I hope he'll forgive me if I'm
thankful that he's not Dr. Quest

I hope he'll forgive us
if we take anything

which might save our lives.
Stove, tea.

Sleeping bag.
Clothes, compass. Yes!

You know, finding my dad's guide
burried in the snow

made me actually
realize that..

...that my father
may actually..

I mean, I always think
that no matter what

everything's gonna be okay.
You know, but..

Don't give up now.

I know that we'll find
both of our dads...alive.

Whatever's going on out here..

'...the keys at Kombu,
I know it.'

[dramatic music]

[crying]

[Jessie]
'What is it?'

You better take a look
for yourselves.

[crying]

Welcome back,
boys and girls.

Might've been better
if you'd frozen out there

Where's my father?
What have you done with him?

You are an unquestionable pig,
Professor Kyle.

But soon to be famous,
and quite extraordinarily rich.

The first man
to capture a Yeti.

A baby, true,
but a Yeti, nonetheless.

[gasping]

[roaring]

Yeti! Many of them.

I don't care
how many there are.

They don't have machine g*ns.
Keep your nerve.

We have to wait till the chopper
comes and we'll be millionairs.

[cracking]

[rumbling]

[dramatic music]

[screaming]

Get back.

swish

[grunting]

[snapping]

Thanks.

What the heck
to you say to a Yeti?

[growling]

Maybe they all think
we're part of Kyle's g*ng.

If they do...we're dead.

[crashing]

Let's make
a run for it!

Ah!

Be calm, my children.
Look.

[crying]

Dad!

You're alive!

- Jonny.
- Leave him be, kiddo.

I think
he'd rather be alone.

Do not give up hope, young man.

These mountains
hold many mysteries.

[instrumental music]

[knocking on door]

Hah!

- Jonny.
- Dad! You're alright.

Ha-ha!
It's good to see you too, son.

Where were you
all this time, pa?

Jonny, this has been one of
the most incredible experience.

When I saw
that avalanche coming

I knew there
was no escape.

I was buried under tons of snow
and would surely have died

had it not been
for the Yetis.

- Yetis?
- What?

Are you kidding me?

You mean, those two
who excorted you were Yetis?

Yes!

They pulled me from the snow
and nursed me back to health.

These are incredibly
intelligent anthropoids.

From what I saw, they have
a series of communities

and caves
throughout this region.

Living among them, I had
a chance to study their culture.

I was completely astounded
by their tribal society

their language and their
pictograph writing

which were
incredibly familiar.

Then, I realized that
the Yeti are actually

the decendents
of Neanderthal man.

- Neanderthals? Really?
- It is quite possible.

The scientific community
has known for a very long time

that modern man
peacefully co-existed with

Neanderthal man
for thouands of years.

[High Lama]
Yes. But then,
modern man strayed

form the path of living
in harmony with nature.

Instead, he tired to enslave it.

The Yeti wait patiently

hoping that
modern man may one day

change his destructive ways.

We came here hoping
to find a monster

and instead found
a sapient culture

more evolved
in may ways than ours.

We will no longer attempt to
prove their existence, Holiness.

Clearly to do so will only
lead to their destruction.

[High Lama]
Thank you, Dr. Quest. I know
our secret shall be safe.

[exclaiming]
