03x19 - The Circus Train

Post by bunniefuu »

Some kind of m*ssile
is headed straight for us.

It's too late to activate
our defense lasers.

We'll have to put our trust
in the Eye of Thundera.

It should be visible now.

There.

Whoa!

What on Third Earth is going on?

"Have no fear,
Bragg the Bounty Hunter is here."

Would you look at that.
It's some kind of advertisement.

What nerve, scaring us half to death.

Look. There's something else
up there.

It's landing right in front
of the Tower Of Omens.

Wow, it looks like a circus train.

Ladies and gentlemen,
you see before you...

...the one and only Captain Bragg.

The galaxy's
most renowned bounty hunter.

I happen to be
Crownan the Wonder Crow. Awk.

For a modest fee, I will rid your planet
of any and all undesirables.

Awk. What an offer.

These troublemakers
will be transported...

...to my famous Zoo's Who of Bad Guys
on the Island of Wayoutback.

Awk. It's escape-proof.

Also included in this offer
is a free bottle of invisible oil...

...with a 90-day guarantee.

Well, step right up.
This offer's too good to miss.

Boy, is there really such
a thing as invisible oil?

No, of course not.

Captain Bragg is a con man,
all hot air.

Yeah, well, I'm going down
and check him out.

-Coming, Wilykit?
-No, thanks, circuses bore me.

They're for kids.

That's what you think.

Well, my boy, ready to purchase
a bottle of invisible oil?

What a bargain.

Excuse me, Captain Bragg,
but Lion-O says there's no such thing.

-What? I can't believe I heard that.
-A disgrace.

Look in these eyes.

Do they look like the eyes of someone
who would tell an untruth?

Well, the eyes have it.

I'm well-known for my veracity.

And he tells the truth too.

Yes, sir.

Now watch carefully, my boy.

You're gonna love this.

There. Now, what do you say to that?

Wow, it works.

But how do you get un-invisible?

The magic word.

It's a common household word.

Kazoo.

Do you know the whereabouts
of these offenders?

Sure. These are the Lunataks.

And these are the mutants.

Then climb aboard, my boy...

...and you can guide me
to the haunts of these do-badders.

Awk. Well, it'll be a giant step forward
for mankind.

Sure thing, Captain Bragg.

I'll go with you.

That circus train is taking off.

Where's Wilykat?

They've taken Wilykat.

Well, Wilykat,
who are we going to start with?

Awk. Well, how about the mutants?

Those babies are worth
a thousand smackers a piece.

Their base is Castle Plun-Darr,
but they've been laying low.

Ah. Don't you worry,
we'll smoke them out.

Awk! Smoked mutants.

Did you hear anything?

No, no, what are you so jumpy about?

I get the feeling something's after us.

Listen. Hear that?

Yeah, I hear it. Come on.

We'll check it out.

"One time only.
See the galaxy's most talented mutant."

This is something we shouldn't miss.

Step right up
and see the sight of a lifetime.

The gorgeous, glamorous,
glittering female mutant:

Marvelous Merna.

Come on. Let's go take a look.

Ah, here comes a pair
of good-looking fellows.

Ah, gentlemen, this is your lucky day.

Marvelous Merna's on a farewell tour.

This may be your last chance
to see her.

I don't see a thing.

Just step right in and you will see
the object of your heart's desire.

Yoo-- Ahem.

Yoo-hoo, boys.

Come on in
and meet Marvelous Merna.

Come on, this we gotta see.

Hoo, hoo, hoo. Where's Merna?

In your dreams, banana breath.

Hey, hey. Let us out of here.

I'll break your bones, you con man.

Did you see that?

Those two idiots
walked right into a cage.

Well, Monkian and Jackalman
never were too bright, yes?

I reckon that Bragg fellow
must be some kind of bounty hunter.

We better lay low for a while.

No way, Vultureman.

Wait a minute.
Where are you taking me?

I'm going to see Marvelous Merna,
the most talented mutant in the world.

And you're coming with me.

Then we'll free those two idiots,
Jackalman and Monkian, yes?

Hurry, hurry, hurry.

Step right this way
for the treat of a lifetime.

See Marvelous Merna.

Put me down, sir.

There's been some mistake.

No mistake.

I wanna see Merna
out here right now, yes.

I just don't think that's possible, sir.
You see, I--

Oh, I think it is.

Stop. Stop, sir.

Yes, I'll see if she'll come out.

No. You go get her.

Mutants.

Did you see that? A Thunderbrat.

I'll get the little rat.

I better get out of here.

But, oh, my gosh.

What do I do to start this thing?

"Emergency."

Well, I guess this is an emergency.

Who's driving this thing?

Hey. Must be that little Thundercat.

Sounds like he hit
the emergency airborne button.

Well, let's just hope
he doesn't hit any more buttons.

I've got to stabilize
this train somehow.

"CTW."

I wonder what "CTW" stands for.

Control Train Wobble.

What's happening?

He hit the CTW button.

Well, what does "CTW" mean?

Crack the whip.

I've got to stop this
before the train flies apart.

"su."

That has to mean "straighten up."

What's happening now?

He's hit the "straight up" button.

Awk.
But there's only one worse button.

What's that?

If we keep going straight up,
we'll hit the superstrata and explode.

I've got to turn us around.

"sD."

That's gotta mean "stop-delay."

He did it.
He hit the "straight down" button.

Holy Jaga.

We're going to bore
right into the ground.

What button do I push now?

I've hit all the wrong buttons.

This time, I'm going to close my eyes.

Here goes nothing.

Hoo.... We're going to crash.

He's still got time
to press the right button.

The BASH button.

And what does "BASH" stand for?

"Brakes and stop hover."

Do something, Vultureman.

We need a parachute, not a pen.

You and your useless inventions.

Awk! This is your fault, Slithe.

You put too much strain on it.

We knew you could do it, boy.

That was just a test.

Oh, yeah?

Yeah.

Now, load up those mutants
and let's get after those Lunataks.

Whatever you say, Captain Bragg.

-Well?
-It's hopeless.

We just don't have the equipment
to fix Sky-Tomb.

So we're stuck in this boring dump.

Plug it, Red Eye.

All we need is a little transportation.

What would you say
to an intergalactic circus train?

You're supposed to be the eyes
of this outfit, Red Eye.

Take TugMug and go check it out.

My pleasure, boss.

Here come a couple
of real music lovers, professor.

Play "Sleepy Time" for them.

That's right. Step right up, folks.
Watch the professor tickle the ivories.

At no time will his fingers
leave his hands.

That's two down. Three to go.

Red Eye and TugMug
have disappeared.

What? Alluro, go find out
what happened.

Here comes another Lunatak, Wilykat.

Now remember,
you're a ventriloquist's dummy.

-Got it.
-Tell me, Charley...

...why does a mutant cross the road?

I don't know, Captain Bragg.

Why does a mutant cross the road?

Why, to get on the Dark Side.

I got a million of them.

That's amazing.

Your lips don't move.

You're right, sir.

Now watch this trick
while you stare at my lips.

Gotcha.

What?

Maybe Alluro will need some help.

I'll go check this circus train out.

Hey, step right up
and see the amazing waltzing bear.

Is that a real polar bear?

That's right, madam...

...from frozen wastes
of far-off, icy moons.

He looks mechanical to me.

Ha, no, no.
Here, step up and feel its fur.

You'll see it's the real thing.

Ha, go right ahead, madam, touch him.

He's tame.

Let go of me.

Ah, with Chilla locked up,
that only leaves Luna and Amok.

Well, I wonder when we can expect
them to show up?

How about now?

-Hey.
-Sic them, Amok.

Hey, it's all a mistake, Miss Luna.

We were just having fun.

No harm intended.

Ha-ha.
But I intend to do you lots of harm.

Oh, my gosh. What do I do now?

Now that I'm invisible,
they won't see me release the captain.

Hey.

Huh! But-- But I'm invisible.

Not today, you're not.

But Captain Bragg said--

Listen, kid, Bragg is a con man.
He's a liar.

But I liked him.

You can see the train was here.

The question is, where is it now?

Hey, look what I found:

A "Wanted" poster.

If Captain Bragg's gone
after the Lunataks...

...then Wilykat's in real danger.

Leave those crazy mutants locked up.

We don't need them.

Then we pay the Thundercats a visit.

With that little squirt strapped
to the engine...

...they can't lay a finger on us.

I think I've picked them up. Listen.

That's the train, all right,
and it's getting closer.

We'll climb high
and attack from the sun.

I'll find Wilykat.

You get ready for a fast takeoff.

You got it.

-Hey.
-Huh?

Take this, Thundercat.

h*!

Huh? No. No.

Run!

Get up there and help Red Eye.

Ah!

Let's be sensible, Lion-O.

Be sensible.

Come on, let's shake on it.

No, Lion-0.

Don't do it.
-What?

No, no.

My powers, all ruined.

Get up there and help him, cowards.

Forget it, Luna.

I've had all the orders
I'll ever take from you.

[SCREAMING AND GRUNTING

You've ruined the gravity carbine.

Now I'll be stuck like this forever.

Now, get up there
and ice that Thundercat.

What could be more deadly
than a simple weapon like ice?

Fire. h*!

You've--

You've melted me.

Klutzes.

Come on, Amok.

Up the ladder.

What's the matter with you?

Up, boy. Up.

Don't tell me you're stuck.

Oh, no!

Help. Help.

Someone, please help me.

Relax, Wilykat. I've got you.

Thunder, thunder, thunder.
Thundercats, h*!

I caused you a lot of trouble, Lion-0.

I'm really sorry.

It wasn't your fault, boy.

I-- I hypnotized him, you see.

Well, he couldn't help it.

He did do wrong, Lion-0.

But at least there's no harm done...

...and they did capture all the mutants
and all the Lunataks.

We need to talk
about those prisoners.

Yeah. I know you're wondering
if you can trust me with these creatures.

Ah, but you needn't worry, young man.

I've decided to turn over a new leaf.

A reformed character.

I'll take good care of them.

I'll teach them table manners
and a useful skill.

Well, either basket weaving
or computer operation.

We're not certain which.

Then you'd better get going, captain.

But remember, we'll be checking up
on you from time to time.

Goodbye, young Wilykat.

I'm sorry I got you into trouble.

Well, that's okay, Captain Bragg.
I had a lot of fun.

But I'll never try to run off
with a circus again.
